Wow two really powerful issues are discussed in this book. If you are contemplating suicide, please seek help. There are people who care and help you. That being said, Ivy is dealing with very hard issues. Thankfully, fate steps in and Tymber is there to help her through it as a survivor himself. He shows her there is something to live for when she thought she lost everyone and everything she had. This was a really powerful introduction into the Royal Sons MC Series. I am really looking forward to King's story.

I've read Elle Boon books for long time. But as good as she is this particular book is just phenomenal. Here she attacks a couple of taboo subjects;i.e. suicide and male breast cancer. Her hero and her herione both deal with this subjects. Will they survive the effects these subjects bring to their lives? Or will Love conquer all? A most excellent must read?

This book has the Royal Son's MC but the Royal Bastards MC comes in somewhere down the line. Don't know how or why yet but guess I'll wait, read and see.

This is Tymber and Ivy's story. She is the one who is kinda sorta related to the MC while Tymber is a tattoo artist. He even does some of the members tats. She lost her BFF to suicide and she was going to a meeting and that is how they meet.

Not going to tell you anymore about the book than that because it's a short book but a pretty good one. Never give up on yourself even if you think everyone is against you.... you might be surprised to learn they really aren't.

An MC Romance unlike any you've read about a hero who survived breast cancer, and a heroine who barely survived losing her best friend and now has the Prez of the Royal MC gunning for her.

If you like gritty romance, real-life drama, or standalone that will break you out of your reading funk - you're going to love Tymber and Ivy's story!

Says 190 pages but it has 7 chapters and no sooner I started the book it finished so no i dont believe this was 190 pages at all- my kindle says 81.

As a result this potentially great book was pretty poor insta love, everything was rushed, no depth, very poor story/plot, formulaicand utterly predictable. .

Not a good start at all.

Emotional subject matter that had affected both main characters, one cancer and the other suicide so this may not be suitable for some readers. It also had a gay relationship mentioned but this was indirect characters and no actual sexual content. The repercussions affect both main subjects carried on after the events had happened, with Ivy it was survivors guilt and a feeling of betrayal and being left alone, losing not just her best friend but the only family she now had. Tymber it was the surviving of cancer, breast cancer. Now this is something that many men get but it isn't talked about much, I would actually have liked a bit more on his battle and how he dealt with it all, but this was mostly skipped over as it had been five years previous. The chemistry between the couple is combustible, the relationship moves really fast. We have the twist of the shop and then the darkness and suspense of the MC. I hope that King dealt with the prospects because no MC book I've ever read would allow them to go off and do what they did without orders and get away with it. Considering Ivy was counted as family, they certainly hadn't treated her that way since Luke died, where were they? If she didn't answer the phone why hadn't one of them, King or Duke been round to talk to her. I had unanswered questions and a few things I felt could have been filled out a bit but this was still in my opinion a five star read. Hopefully more will become clear over the course of the series, especially when it comes to the two blood brothers books. I loved the connection, the banter and the fun sides of this book, they gave the deepness and lightness contrast after the prologue that was needed. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Like trying to wade through tar. It was painfully boring. 95% of this is just the two main characters thoughts, thinking on repeat about their pasts, rather than any actual story between the two of them happening. It was so tedious and hard to force myself to keep read something so boring.

I got part way through chapter 4 before giving up, and it said that was 40% of the book. There's no way this is a typical length MC book that are usually at least 290 plus pages. This is barely 90 pages, and the very lacking in story, romance and character depth, they're all practically non existent and makes this a very basic and pointless read.

Trying again I got to 70%, the first sex scene and just didn't care to keep going. This author's basic writing and basic stories just aren't enjoyable to me. I tried the sample pages for the third book in the series, because I try to give authors a chance, but again it was bad, with wording choices by the author that meant some sentences didn't even make sense.

This is one of those authors and books that make me question the education level of the author and the readers who gave this a good rating because literally everything about this book, the writing,
the story, the story telling, the depth, all were very low quality. Very poor. Did not finish. Do not enjoy this author's basic writing and basic stories. 1 star.

REVIEW

This is the first read into the MC world written by this author.

This book takes on two different people, with two deep issues.
Tymber has battled and has the scar to prove it. He is a tattoo artist whose shop is frequented by many of the MC including the prez King.

Ivy well her story in this gutted me. To lose your best friend, the only family you have ever known to something that may have been prevented gutted me.

When Tymber meets Ivy he knows she is the one hands down for him and he will go to he!! and back for this woman. Even if she is a strong woman all alone.

I enjoyed this story and plan on reading this entire series. It's well-written, and the characters are strong.

The first page is explosive and your heart breaks for Ivy. Tymber meets Ivy outside a self help meeting and he can't believe why she would be there but he has to get to know her. They connect and they sizzle but they don't tell each other what they really need to know to delve deeper. They are each dealing with very real issues in today's society and it makes you think a bit more as a reader.

King, the president of The Royal Sons MC wants to know what Ivy is hiding and he brings things to a head, including Tymber, who has no clue what's going on.

It's a short and quick start to this new series and I can't wait for more and I hope we see these two characters in the next chapters.

I received this advanced reader's copy in exchange for an honest review.

Two survivors connect

I purchased this book via Amazon and am leaving my review voluntarily. This is the start of an ongoing series.

Triggers:
suicide, breast cancer, (brief mention of child abuse/neglect/attempted sexual abuse)

Spoilers:
Ivy, awful childhood. Best friends with Luke. His MC family takes her in when she is forced to leave home. After another tragedy, she is left wondering what to do with her life.

Tymber, former military, cancer survivor, tattoo artist. Meets Ivy and the two connect right away.

A bit of drama/misunderstanding. Sexy time. HEA

This was more of an MC lite storyline. It focused more on the main couple with the MC in the background. Looking forward to book 2.

Elle Boon is a new author for me. MC series are one of my favorite reads. Royally Twisted was a quick read and difficult to put down. Timbers one sexy alpha who I would gladly spend a night with. As I read on in the Royal Sons series my book crushes will also change. Timber maybe my crush today, but who knows what tomorrow may bring.
I'm waiting patiently to dive into the rest of this series that Elle has published. I looking forward to reading

Royally Taken (Traeger & Kailani)
Royally Tempted (King & Ayesha)
Royally Treasured (Duke & Lennox) Royally Broken (Keys & Palmer)
The Royal Sons series is a must read.

Royally Twisted by Elle Boon is the first book in her Royal Sons MC series.

Elle Boon is a favorite author for me so I jumped at the chance to read this new series and already have bought the next two books because I liked this book so much. This is Tymber and Ivy's story about love, loss of a best friend and the MC that they belong too. Suicide affects everyone around them from family to friends so please reach out to someone at talk. My own family has been touched by suicide so I know from personal experience how hard it is.

Ivy was taken in by King the leader of the Royal Sons MC and she becomes best friends with his brother who takes his own life rather than tell his brother his secret. She meets Tymber at a community center where he chairs a group of breast cancer survivors (Yes, men get breast cancer). He reached out to Ivy thinking that she's needing help when she comes to seek help for her friends suicide. She may be pint sized but very feisty so guard your heart Tymber.

Tymber's life changed when his mother passed away from breast cancer but he also found out that this disease also can happen to men. He found help with a support group and meets Ivy who's part of the Royal Sons MC group that visit his tattoo shop. But will he be able to help her tell King the reason behind his brother's suicide? Can he guard his heart as he falls hard for Ivy?

Another Libby find when I was looking for a bit of a shorter read and I did it on audio, I was actually pleasantly surprised by the ratings when I looked it up on Goodreads so I had high hopes. Unfortunately, my hopes were not entirely met.
My first thoughts on this were that it's funny how the male narrator did the female characters voice at the beginning. Made me chuckle.
Anyways, the whole book just seemed SO fast paced and VERY instalove. It was very hard for me to believe that there was real chemistry between the two main characters, and not just sex. I don't know, wasn't for me really. I guess Id even say 2.5 stars rounded up?

I can't believe he killed himself instead of trusting his bros. It's sad that he had cancer but it's awesome that he kicked it's ass!! She had 2 b strong after looking her best friend but she's had 2 b especially 4 telling the only people that helped her in her life that she thought of as family but she thought that they wanted 2 hurt her cause of what happened but thank God that wasn't the case. But it's good that they found each other and helped each other in a of need. It was awesome!!

What a great read

Oh my goodness this journey with Tymber and Ivy is so amazing. Theirs is a quick love born from tragedy. Ivy lost her best friend to suicide and in the process of finding help for herself she found Tymber. He was exactly what she needed to help her move past her pain. Tymber has his own pain and Ivy has quickly become his source of comfort. This book is an excellent read

Great read!

This author is new to me and I had pre-ordered two books that she had coming out as part of the Royal Bastards MC. I then discovered this series and one clicked all four yesterday!
What a great read! Ivy is broken hearted after losing her best friend, trying to keep herself afloat whilst keeping secrets from his family. Tymber spots her and feels an immediate connection. She is hiding so much pain, what will happen when it all comes to light?
My heart!

This was my first book by Elle Boon and I am so glad I gave her a try. Tymber is a tattoo artist and a breast cancer survivor. Ivy has suffered a tremendous loss and is still trying to figure out how to go on living. Their story was unique and yet the characters felt familiar, like you had known them for years. It was effortless to fall into their story and was thoroughly entertained. I can't wait to read the next book!

Ivy & Tymber's story

This is my first book I've read by Elle. This is the first book in her Royal Sons MC series. This book is Ivy & Tymber's story. They both met whilst they were both dealing with some personal hardships. Ivy is trying to deal with the suicide of a close friend and Tymber, who is a breast cancer survivor. This was a well written story and will continue on to the next book in the series.

Nice light romance but not really an MC book. There is nothing particularly dynamic about this story, as I said it's a 'nice' romance and there's some past trauma. Overall if you enjoy the softer side of romance go for it, if like me, you prefer dark romance you will be disappointed.
This is a short novella and be aware the last 10% is an excerpt from the next book. Could also do with a decent editor.

This book was emotionally charged with taboo subjects for both men and women!
Breast cancer for men and suicide for women are subjects that are hard d to address but we need to know there is help out there and there are people who care!
This story of Tymber and Ivy shows the resilience of people! They both came into each other’s lives at exactly the point when they needed someone the most!
This book was so well written and it’s a must read!!

Both Tymber and Ivy have experienced hardships in life. Each of them desparately needing someone to understand how these hardships have affected each other. They both meet each other at a community meeting location where each of them are there for completely different but important reasons. Tymber is there attending a meeting for cancer survivors where he is celebrating five years of being cancer free from male breast cancer. Ivy is a troubled young woman who is dealing with the tragic loss of her best friend whose MC family saved her from the abuse of her real family. Due to fhe abuse of her real family, hee best friend Luke's family becomes the only famiky she truly has. However, her MC family now seems to be holding her accountable for the loss of her best friend Luke causing her to be left adrift without support.

These two individuals meet each other at a fateful point in each of their lives where they both needed each other's support. Tymber helped Ivy realize she was worthy and supported her during a critical face off with Luke's MC family where she has to share some hard facts as to why they all lost her best friend Luke. In the end, Ivy regains the unwavering support of her MC family.

This was a fantastic book that delicately dealt with two hard subjects - male breast cancer and suicide. Elle Boon handled each topic in a way that left the reader with an understanding of how each affected individuals, family and friends. The characters were geniune while each was dealing with their own deep issues. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading the future books in this series.

A Royal Sons MC book 1. A short but good read. I loved the characters and their names. Tymber and Ivy have a crazy meeting. This story touches on so many issues of today's society. It wasn't preachy at all. Heartfelt, hopeful, dramatic and Hella angsty.

Fantastic first book in this series! Love all the characters, non stop build, hot chemistry, wittiness, and just enough emotional ups and downs to make you read non stop.
