One clueless queen-to-be, four princes to change her world forever.

Before her vital first cup of coffee in the morning, Litha finds out she’s a witch and is suddenly transported to a magical world she didn’t know existed. As if that wasn’t strange enough, it turns out that she’s prophesied to be queen and her parents only took her to the human world to protect her from those who want her dead. But now she’s at Lughnasadh Elite Academy and face to face with her four potential… kings?

It doesn’t help that all four princes are sexy and hot and make her insides squirm when she catches sight of them. There is Bane, the werewolf prince, all broody and with hair sticking up like he just got out of bed. Kit, the incubus prince, whose wicked smile melts anyone’s unmentionables. Rune, the dragon prince, protective and with muscles like he’s a moving mountain. And last, but definitely not least, Finn, the fae prince, quiet but intense, with eyes like a summer forest.

According to the prophecy, Litha will marry the true ruler of the four kingdoms. But having grown up human, in the human world, she has no idea where to start making sense of all of it, and the four princes pursuing her really don’t help with trying to figure it all out.

Layla Heart loves sexy romances and has a particular soft spot for broken boys and their damaged girls. When she’s not reading or writing steamy stories, she loves to nap with her two cats, preferably under a fluffy blanket, and play videogames. She has studied literature and creative writing but often finds that the couple of classes she took on coding are much more of a help in this new adventure as an author.

another great RH .. definitely a slow burn. The great thing is that this is novella length, so it was super easy and quick to get through.

The character development was great. I enjoyed the world building. The author did a great job with both. I really enjoyed the bond the guys shared too. It's not often you read RH that feature a bond that strong between the men.

i can't wait to read more of this series.

I really liked this! It's biggest strength is the bond between the four guys. You can really see and and feel how much they mean to each other. That aspect kind of made me look at this as the paranormal version of Bethany Jadin's contemporary rh series about corporate espionage and coding. Anyway, I'm obsessed with these guys' friendship and how the dragon considers them his hoard. All the yes.

It wasn't perfect though. It definitely could have used more editing, and some plot points just didn't feel quite right. Like at the very beginning of the book. Apparently something dramatically changes for the MC's parents, causing them to think sending the MC into known danger was the best choice, but they seemed completely unconcerned when it happened.

My biggest complaint, though, is that the MC's relationships with the guys feels super rushed. After one (completely normal btw) conversation with each of the guys and acting like a blushing virgin (for good reason), she just starts kissing all of the guys in front of each other. There was no discussion about interest in a relationship of any kind at that point. There had just been some flirting and kissing between some of them. But there DEFINITELY wasn't any sort of conversation about "hey is it cool if I make out with all your friends in front of you?" I know that's the genre but you have to at least make sure everyone is on board first. And she also didn't have any hesitation at all when she realized that two of the guys are intimate with each other. She didn't have even a second of wondering where she fit into that dynamic. Again, she's known these guys for a day and a half, and she didn't even spend that full time with them. None of that rang true for me.

This also felt really short, and we didn't get much in terms of action and plot.

Still, I'm really looking forward to book 2!

*Spoiler Alert*
Completely clueless Litha (FMC) has no idea about where she is much less who she is at the start of this book. Having lived in the human world her whole life she has no idea about the Supernatural world or the prophecy that involves her and the four princes - Bane, Kit, Rune and Finn she encounters at her new school. This book seemed a bit short or it could be that i read it really quickly because it ended just as i was starting to find out about each of the characters. Which is a shame because now Ill have to wait until the next book to find out more. A great start though. A good read

Average at best.

The biggest compliment is that there were not any misspelled words. There was some incorrect word usage, though. (Through, thought, and though are not the same word.) The story itself wasn't horrible, but it lacked uniqueness. The plot was typical for a story taking place at an Academy where the main character was unaware that she was paranormal. Add in the prophecy and four princes, and you end up with all of the usual reverse harem plotlines. This, in and of itself, is not what reduced my review rating. The biggest issue I had was that the characters do not have distinctive personalities. The actions of one prince could be the same for any of them. The characters are interchangeable with how they react to the main character's sudden appearance. Not a single one of them is angry about the situation and take it out on Litha? None of them are going to be competitive? Had they not come up with a plan in all the years they had together? You can say that a character is stubborn, but if at the first hurdle, he gives in, it illustrates the complete opposite personality.

Book1

I can see why reviewers are annoyed - I really like this author but I too, am less than impressed with her only writing a less than 100 page script and calling it a book. It’s not. It’s more or less a prequel with very little information just enough to sort of tantalize the reader. I don’t know if it is because I’ve mostly listened to her audio books on scribed that I’ve not noticed how her writing style is a little more on the not so developed side, but I’m a little less than impressed with it. With that said I’m feeling like this book is mostly for 16-18yrs peppered with some adult themes.

Litha is one clueless queen-to-be, but four princes will change her world forever.

Before she can even have her first cup of coffee that morning, Litha finds out that she's a witch and suddenly she's transported to a magical world that she never knew existed. And, as if that wasn't enough to handle, it turns out that Litha is the prophesied queen. Her parents had taken her to the human world to protect her from everyone who wanted her dead. But, now Litha finds herself at Lughnasadh Elite Academy, and more than that, she's face to face with her four potential....kings.

It really doesn't help Litha any that all four princes are sex and hot and they make her insides squirm whenever she catches sight of them.

Bane: the werewolf prince. He's all broody with his hair sticking up looking like he just got up and out of bed.

Kit: the incubus prince. He has a wicked smile and that smile would melt anyone's unmentionables.

Rune: the dragon prince. He's protective and has muscles that look like he's moving mountains.

Finn: the fae prince. He's quiet but overly intense and he has eyes that look like a summer forest.

Litha learns that according to the prophecy, she will marry the true ruler of the four kingdoms. But, because she grew up in the human world, she has no idea where to start making any sense out of any of it, and the four princes who are pursuing her, they are not helping her in trying to figure it all out.

This is the first novella in the Lughnasadh Elite Academy serial, a reverse harem #WhyChoose story. This novella may include any of these elements: steamy scenes, ‘I need tissues NOW’ moments, cries of ‘why, oh, why’, and cliffhangers that make you bite your nails (and curse the author).
This story includes MF, MM, and also FF scenes, but everyone is primarily focused on Litha and there are no sexy scenes between the guys and the other girl.

Prophecy is the first book in the Lughnasadh Elite Academy series by Lyla Heart. I really liked this book. And I am going to admit that the biggest strength this book had was the bond the four guys had with each other. You can feel just how deeply they care about each other and you can feel just how deeply they each mean to the others and you know without a doubt that they each have the other's backs. I can honestly say that I am just obsessed with the friendship between these four guys and they are currently living rent-free in my head.

I will admit that this book had gone through just one more round of editing. There were a few plot points that either didn't sit right or could have been fleshed out just a little bit more. But, that is just my opinion. I still think that this was a great book and I still really enjoyed it and I look forward to reading more in the series.

I am looking forward to reading more of Lyla Heart's books and I am looking forward to book 2 of this series. I do recommend this book and this series. Even with the minor things that could have been improved on, I still think that this is worth the read.

this type of story isn't one that i reach for. the only reason i read it was because it was free and has pan rep. but surprisingly i didn't hate it.

content/trigger warnings; ableism, mentions of torture, war themes, sexual content, blood,

rep; litha (mc) is pansexual. kit (mc) is bisexual. rune (mc) is pansexual.

a big part of why i probably liked this, despite it being a lot of things i don't typically enjoy, is because it's the "regular person finds out they're part of a magical world" trope and that might be my favorite kind of fantasy.

polyamory isn't something that i'm interested in reading about, nothing against it, it's just a personal preference. but i actually kind of like the dynamic between litha and all the guys, even if the relationship aspect didn't really start by the end of this short novella.

but i don't care for the alpha male thoughts of the guys. the whole "she's mine!" thing isn't cute and i could do without. it wasn't their whole personalities, though. they were all kind of gentle and caring and soft, so when those thoughts popped up, it kind of threw me off because it didn't seem to mesh with who they were. anyways.

i'm a little bummed the f/f aspect of this series didn't come into play in this one. i was hoping the other queer girl would be litha's friend aideen, but it's actually litha's roommate who we don't meet in this one :/

the writing is a bit odd for me. there's a lot of telling instead of showing and mentioning instead of explaining. and if litha didn't mention being a witch so often, we wouldn't even know because she doesn't show any abilities or have any distinguishing features like the other supernaturals. a little bummed about that. she might as well just be a human in this one.

one of the guys, finn, makes a kind of slut shaming comment. he mentions how bane thinks he's stuck up about sex, when in actuality he just doesn't "go around fucking random people like the rest of them do" and idk how it was meant, but it rubbed me the wrong way. especially if you take into consideration how he had never so much as kissed someone before. it definitely gave off judgmental pure virgin vibes.

lastly, litha mentions how the princes have fans and shippers and she thinks "shipping real people has some icky factors, consent and everything, but with those two? they really do have sex with each other" and like....just because kit and rune have sex, doesn't give anyone, especially strangers, the right to fetishize them or write smutty fanfic about them.

even though i'm interested, i don't think i'm going to continue with this series.

fifth book for the autistic pride readathon (autistic author without autistic rep) and the magical readathon (includes shapeshifters).

Litha will marry the true ruler of the four kingdoms Bane, the werewolf prince, Kit, the incubus prince,Rune, the dragon prince,Finn, the fae prince I'm very sexy alpha males!!!!
One clueless queen-to-be, four princes ,But now she at Elite Academy and face to face with her four potential… kings? What could go wrong! She supposed to choose but how can you choose and why would she want too.
The way it unfolds is like a wet dream come to life torchering every nerve fiber of my being making me warm moist and intoxicated from one eye popping ravenous page to the next. This story was definitely smokin hot with an intriguing storyline that kept me thirsty excited and on edge from the very beginning to the jaw dropping end a perfect dessert to a long day and an amazing fantasy of taboo love that I just could NOT get enough of this naughty little morsel a
tasty little treat!
And Cliffhangers I hate Cliffhangers!!!!

ONE AMAZING WHIRLWIND!!!
Buckle up! This dynamic duo stacks the layers, gathers the parcels and masters the passage, forging ahead, busting this baby wide open. Disbursing delightful, well rounded scenario's, revving up the anticipation and adrenaline, with such intensity and precision, blazing this bad boy to life brilliantly. Blundering through the trials and tribulations, along with thrilling twists and sleek turns, grounding in it's strength and awe inspiring in it's depth. Stumbling along as the chemistry sizzles while drama, intrigue and suspense ensues in epic proportions. The personalities are well matched and balanced with enough flaws for diversity. The characters and scenes are strikingly sharp with such colorful descriptions it gives you a full understanding and realism that flow smoothly. Awesome job guys, thanks for sharing this incredible jewel with us.

This is the first book I’ve read of Layla’s and I was lucky enough to receive an ARC! (All opinions are my own)

I was pleasantly surprised that I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I like the foundation that is being built with Litha and the princes, and the background it gives us on the princes friendship. I also love that she made a friend the first day, a friend who is protective and loyal! All in all I really enjoyed this book. I gave it 4 stars because I felt there were multiple instances where the sentences and stuff got repetitive, and also there was a scene with Rune and Kit that I would have loved for the author to elaborate on, and describe rather than just insinuating what happened.

But again, I did enjoy this book and I am about to read the second in the series!

I thought this was a great start to a new series by Layla Heart. Prophecy is my first book by Layla Heart, but I have read books by the author under one of her other pen names and enjoyed reading her mm books. So when I heard that she was doing a reverse harem book, I was sold. I loved that the four princes have grown up together at school and formed bonds and relationships with each other and know about the prophecy that will lead to a chosen female choosing one of the princes to be her mate and be the king of all of the realms so that there can be peace. The book does end on a cliffhanger, but that just made me want to read the next book and lucky for me the second book is already out, so I know what I will be reading next. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Prophecy (Lughnasadh Elite Academy 1) is a fast paced novella that gets to the heart of the story in the first couple of pages. One can empathize with Litha as she is literally pushed into a world we think exists in our imaginations and fantasy books. Not only is that world real, this very fortunate young woman has three very hot princes looking to become her BFF and more.

I love that Litha, though rightfully freaked out, is open to this new world. She is likable in her innocence and vulnerability. Litha has many characteristics that endear her to the reader. She is obviously smart and will fight being forced to make choices that go against who she is. I look forward to seeing what is in store for Litha and her princes.

A very solid read. I enjoyed the world building, the backstory, the character. Each character is being fleshed out well, whilst still leaving loads of room for mystery. I like the bond between the male leads, it’s very refreshing when a lot of RH novels leave that stuff out regardless of MM content. I’m intrigued, I want to read the next book.

I might just be getting bored of the insta-love and lust trope but I think it would be more interesting if there was some kind of rejection of the prophecy? Maybe if any of the characters tried to push the other(s) away, not necessarily leading to the bully/mean trope. But it’s still cute.

Litha is a girl who grew up in the normal human world. She had been planning to go to college but her parents insisted that before she went she had to go see her grandma. There the story begin a story filled with confusion, lust and love.

I can definitely say that I totally ship Kit and Bane. The only struggle I had with the store where some grammar errors and keeping up with the names. The last one is because written from a different POV. I still have trouble connecting the names to the which prince they are and vice versa. Hopefully the second book will clear this up for me!

Great

I actually like this book. It is a fast-paced and the romance isn’t that too slow or fast. Litha is the prophesied future queen who would choose one of the heirs of the four races who will rule all 4 kingdoms but this is definitely a reverse harem of you are wondering. There is some M/M interaction and I can’t wait to read more.

I want to see the further development of Litha as a character and her relationship with the guys. I would love to find out more about the guys. I also like the friendship of Litha with Aideen.

What happens when a prophecy is suddenly sprung on you and it involves four very sexy men? Well, you stumble but you lean on those men and that's exactly what happens here. It's sweet to see them protect her despite their obvious sexual attractions to her. Well worth the read and looking forward to reading more and seeing the relationships develop further along with the mysteries being revealed more.

Litha has been raised as human in the human world. But, she she is really a witch and fated to marry one of the crown princes of the four kingdoms and become queen to rule over all four. I love the characters. The story was well written with just enough romance and an air of mystery to it. I could not put this book down. I cannot wait for the next book.

Loved it

As an avid reader I enjoyed this book immensely, and as a poly person I enjoyed it even more. I could identify to a lot of the relational developments and the compersion one of the characters in the end made me feel such joy.

I felt a bit sad when the book ended because it seemed too short. And I know that as soon as my wallet allows I’ll buy the next book in this series!

Good

Nice book, good plot and story line...excited to see how the writer develops the characters and their relationship. Excellent if you are looking for a simple, quick read. Although all I will say is the writing style is a touch annoying, just some sentences and phrases are repeated over and over...not the biggest deal but can stop you from really enjoying immersing yourself into Into the book.

This is was a really interesting and intriguing start to the series as we meet Litha as she is thrust into a new world and told she is a witch and is going to Lughnasadh Elite Academy in the magical world. There is also a prophecy of her choosing one of the four princes.
I can’t wait to continue reading the series and watch how the characters grow.

Very promising beginning

Life was safe and going according to plan for Litha. Until the day she discovers she is a witch and the main part of a prophecy that says she is the way for peace among the kingdom she didn’t even know existed. She is thrown head first with little to no information on a different world. Very promising beginning for this series.

This is a good start to a new series but the characters need their own personalities they just seem the same especially the guys but I did enjoy this story it ends on a cliffhanger, I’m not going to give any spoilers so read the blurb and that will give you the gist to this story I bought this story awhile ago but I’ve only now just had a chance to read it.

Like it.

It's sweet and a bit steamy. I have an idea of where it is headed, and normally that is not my cup of tea. However I am extremely excited to see how it continues to play out. While I love seeing into the minds of all five main characters it can be a bit much in the beginning trying to keep all the boys separated on who is who.

Horrible editing

This author really needs to figure out punctuation. A sentence should not be broken up into chunks by 5 million commas. Literally, if ONLY the sentence structure had been better I would have finished the book. As it is I stopped at 45% because I couldn't stand it anymore.

Paranormal Poly is great!

Thus felt like a mash between and adult and a YA romance and I loved it! That sweet innocence that Litha has mixed with the burning desire for all of the boys makes for a just slightly steamy first book.

Its great for readers who don't want really want a lit if any spice but still a little sweet kick.

A great start!

A good start to the series. It was well written and was a good addition to the magic academy troupe. I enjoyed the peeks I got at the current political unrest in the magical world and I'm looking forward to seeing how the academy works. I like Litha's personality so far and enjoyed the dynamics between the guys. My only complaint is that the authors did a fade-to-black on a potentially steamy MM scene. I'll be pretty disappointed if all of the hot scenes fade to black.

Not but heavy on the pricey cliffhangers

Royalty, lust, war, and magic. What more can you ask for? Add bisexuals to the mix? Done.

Be warned. This series is short books with cliffhangers. So getting addicted may annoy your pocket. It certainly does mine.
