The Sexiest Doctor to wear scrubs is here to melt more than Hearts!
Chloe Weber is at her breaking point. Her life isn't going according to plan. Her future is a bleak landscape of lost dreams. She needs solitude to focus on her work, and perhaps soothe the bitterness threatening to consume her.
Privacy and isolation are not in the cards for her.
When Dr. Tristan Evers pays Chloe a housecall, he turns her already tumultuous world further upside down. His intentions are less than altruistic. While his benevolence prevails for his patients and his work; Tristan is entirely selfish in his personal life, especially where Chloe Weber is concerned.
As an author, Chloe is an observant individual. Although she often Ignores the forest because she's too busy counting trees. Is Tristan indeed the philandering man-whore witnessed in action for a decade? Or is there much more to the sexy doctor than she ever glimpsed before?
Prepare for an emotional, gut-wrenching roller coaster ride of feels from a couple unlike any other. Are you ready? The Dr. will see you now…
When she’s not sipping coffee from her “World’s Okayest Author” mug or herding her four cats away from her keyboard, Gypsy writes character-driven, emotional chaos with a side of, “What did I just read?” Hardcore smut fan? Same, sis, same.
Wow! A drop-dead gorgeous man of your dreams. This books touches the heart and scorches to the max. Tristan Evers is commanding and seriously hot, and this particular reader wishes all Medics were him. Chloe’s story pulled at my heartstrings. I adored her as a character. Tristan Evers MD is a really likable, beautifully written story. A story for today—fast moving, full of fun and satisfying, and I simply loved the ending. Well done Gypsy Reed. This is an excellent Book which I unreservedly recommend.
I love modern romance books. So many people today are jaded beyond hope of finding their own Happily Ever After. Modern romance reminds us there is love and romance in the world. This novel (more of a novella) is directly on target for restoring hope to the reader.
What woman or man doesn’t want the hope of true love after bitter betrayal and divorce? The work delves deep into the themes of finding love in the darkness of your life, as well as the theme of being blind to the true love right in front of your face. The author’s carefully crafted words are a true masterpiece example of tapping into the reader’s own life, creating an immersive relatable reading experience. At the same, without giving spoilers, there is a dramatic flare and twist to the climax and ending.
To be honest, initially, I saw the page count and was a little let down before I even started the piece. HOWEVER, the author does an excellent job of telling a complete and fast-paced story in a short amount of time. This book would be great for plane rides, beach reading, or even (in your fast paced life) when you find yourself in need of some ‘me time.’
The only complaint I had was I just wanted more . . . of everything. More romantic moments. More description. I found myself wanting to see more of conclusion. Still, I feel like the length of the work really emphasizes the whirlwind romance of the MC and adds to evoking a sense of love in chaos within the reader.
This work really shines as a jewel among a sea of an otherwise mundane saturated genre. The book is a beautiful reprieve from the ordinary, a cool breeze on a hot July day, leaving the reader breathless and satisfied.
On my personal rating scale (see my blog post ‘Don’t Attack the Sundae’ for inspiration on my rating scale), I give the work a Mithril Armor score (or 5 out of 5 stars).
Disclaimer: I received this book for free in exchange for an HONEST review.
The cover was enough to make me give this book a perusal. It wasn't what I expected. It was way too short for how good it is. It left me wanting more. The couple in the story immediately sucked me in. I felt like I was snooping into their private world and I liked it. There's a lot of backstory that's hinted at, but sacrificed for the plot events. I want to know more about their history, but more than that what will happen next. Tristan says and does all the right things, so naturally Chloe doubts him. You know what they say if something appears too good to be true? The chemistry is scorching between the two, but they also come off as two people who have known each other for a long time. The reason they haven't ever been a couple before, she's been married to his best friend. This isn't a cheating story, its about love, attraction, friends, deceit and betrayal. On everyone's part, every character has flaws and I like that. It's believable and engaging. I will read the next book. There better be a next book after that ending! Holy Hell-Wow. You have to read it to understand.
I especially loved the chemistry between Chloe and Tristan. I loved that Chloe found true happiness!! I wasn't expecting that ending! Thank you Ms. Reed. I can't wait for the next chapter!
I like this book. The characters are quite in-depth, and the pacing and plot are exciting. I wasn't expecting the ending, will definitely read the next one!
