“What is that sound?” Mary shook Adalwolf Dalton awake. No sooner had she asked than a light from the outside of the house illuminated the bedroom. Dalton stood up and grabbed his pistol from the drawer. “It’s bad news. It’s the time machine.” Senator James has sent the time machine back to rescue Adalwolf Dalton, only, he doesn't want to be rescued. Now, he must figure out how to stop them from building the time machine in the future so they won’t irreparably damage the timeline and destroy all their lives. “It doesn’t work. Without Hitler, the communists come to power. The United States is attacked on all sides. The timeline is a nightmare. No, Hitler must stay alive.” “What about stopping the holocaust?” Dalton shook his head. “Far worse things happen to the Jews under the communists.” “I don’t believe that. Listen, come back with me and you can explain everything to them.” Dalton felt Mary come up behind him. He swallowed hard. Senator James had the time machine, he had to stop him, one way or another. “No, this ends here. I can’t let you go back.” He pointed the gun at Phillip.

I always like to preface any reviews I give with this information. I am a 68 year old female who has been an avid reader since I was around 10 or 11 years old. I read primarily for pleasure and knowledge. I do a great amount of personal research in areas that interest me. Writing, Music, Art, Reading, Ancient Civilizations and History, Rocks, Minerals, Crystals, Alternative Spiritual Beliefs, Conspiracy Theories, UFOs, Maps, Pretty much everything interests me. I read everything I can get my hands on. I have always been a seeker, and I am the kind of person who needs to have answers. So I read, research, question and learn.

This Review is for the Audiobook version of "A Rift in Time: Time Loop Book 3"
This is the 3rd book in the Time Loop series of books. I have listened to all three of them now and as much as I enjoyed the first and second books, I truly did not like this one. It was very hard for me to sit through a very long 4 Hours and 36 Minutes.
To be completely honest, this book feels like it was a first book written by a very amateur writer. I hate to say that as I truly do like the books and audiobooks I have read/listened to by Clark Graham.
This book is too simple. The plot lines jump around and there is not a real sense of continuity to, or with the story. We have a very large amount of characters in this book who think nothing of killing people and arbitrarily threatening other characters, verbally, telling them they are going to go back in time and kill them when they are children, and things of this nature. It is a very immature book and the characters are very busy having what I call tantrums, screaming and stomping their feet. These are "adult" men who are in positions of power; some military men, and some are professors who seem terrified of standing up for what they believe in.
Most of these people strike me as being psychotic and on the verge of insanity. This entire book consists mainly of time jumping plot lines that the author seems to have used to make the story convenient to write without there being any real satisfactory story in and of itself.
This book feels like it has no real plot and that is too bad. I had really looked forward to seeing a satisfactory ending to this series. My sincere and honest belief is the author should rewrite the entire book. It could be a great book, I think.
Narrator William Woelfle once again stuck me as "overacting" in this audiobook. It may be because he does have a very distinct way of enunciating so very well, and honestly most of us don't do that. That is not a fault to him. But the entire book/audiobook felt 'stilted' and once again I felt that I was being "read" to. I did not get caught up in the story and I think the fault lies with both the writing and the narrating in this instance. The narrator also speaks very slowly and once again I had to speed up the recording to a faster setting which made the book easier to listen to.
All in all I was very disappointed with this audiobook. I don't like to do negative reviews but hopefully this review may help the author to decide to do a rewrite. As to who would enjoy this book/audiobook, possibly a young tween or teenager who is interested in time travel stories. I don't think most adults would find it interesting.
( Format : Audiobook ) "I've never seen anything like this." This is the third, and lasr, book in the enjoyable series, Time Loop, and is most definitely the weakest. Attempting to improve human history by interfering with the past proved devastatingly difficult and wrong. Unlike the first book which felt anchored in possibility, however, A Rift in Time is decidedly fiction. Narration is by William Mark Woelfle, who reads with emotional enthusiasm, easy on the ear and adding to the reading experience.
My thanks to the rights holder of the book, who, at my request, freely gifted me with a complimentary copy via Audiobook Boom. It could easily be read as a stand alone, but if only one book of the trilogy can be selected, book one, A Loop in Time, is recommended.
Time Travel can be confusing. I for one had a difficult time trying to figure out what was what each time a plane showed up to take Mr Dalton back to his own time. And senator James was really the one who pushed for all of the characters to try to fix the past, but as Dalton realizes that even one small change has its ripple effect and even worse things happened. So I'm glad to have read this series and to be reminded that we can't change what has already happened without terrible consequences.
Really good series ! Completely mind blowing about time travel !
I still don't know if I completely understand what happened and if they all managed to fix things, with so many agencies, civilians, and family members all involved in either trying to stop time travel, or trying to control it for their own purposes !!! But it was extremely entertaining, detailed and intriguing !!! I enjoyed this series very much
This was a good way to finish the series, to bring back some people we know ong with a lot of new people to be involved with. It filled in a few "holes" from the previous book without feeling like it was filling in the holes. The story centering around the two types of people, the ones who want to cause as minimal impact on time as possible and the ones who want to make time work for them was a good way to tell this story.
Like the first book in this series, the storyline is believable; but the writing lacks excitement. In some chapters the book becomes very boring and predictable. Finished the third book in this series and found it to be the weakest in this series. Felt like I was watching the movie Groundhog Day with the continuous retry’s to correct their mistakes. I will not read other books by this author.
A good closure to the series. However, there were incorrect years (sub-heading of Chapters) which kind of introduced confusion with the flow. Another thing is, as we get nearer to the end, the story was rushed losing what made the series an awesome time travel drama.
A great bedtime read full of fascinating paradoxes. I found the writing got better as each book progressed. If you love time travel conundrums, you'll love this trilogy.
It is sometimes hard to follow the chronology and who game from what time. Does a good job of illustrating time as a concept as real as distance. It makes you think while entertaining. You can hardly ask. More of a book.
Read all three in series and recommend that, otherwise it will be confusing. Good read but very generalized. Not a lot of personal interaction. Story line was pretty good but few surprises.
The three books, together, make for a good story. Like most time travel stories that run back and forth, it takes some thought, and sometimes close attention to keep track of, especially as time lined interplay. Well done
This series is so imaginative and intriguing. You would definitely need to read the first two books right before reading this one. It was so neat how the characters of time travel were "linked" together.
I really enjoyed this series. Each book in the series builds up to a satisfying conclusion. The book fit the 52 week reading challenge prompt "Time in the Title". My Kindle version had samples of other books Clark Graham wrote and they sounded very interesting as well.
The story line became difficult (for me at least) to follow. I kept losing track of who was who. The story winds up and down the timeline from 1894 to 2046. I do agree with the basic premise of building a time machine would destroy our timeline and ourselves.
This was a good conclusion to this series. A senator wanted power to change the world and did not care who was hurt to get there. I loved that Dalton's family was able to finish his work to destroying the time machines, for he knew that no one should have that kind of power.
It is a good series if you stick it out. It was a good continuation of the other books. I enjoyed the read but you have to be forgiving with some of the military details. If you like time travel it is thought provoking.
A fitting ending to this series. They did everything possible to stop the development of the time machine and the destruction of the timeline. Excellently written.
