A fascinating book about an amazing journey through the wilds of British Columbia and Alaska in the 1930s. Despite warnings from officials, Bill and Ruth Albee hike through uncharted territory of British Columbia with plans to travel into the wilds of Alaska down the Yukon River. After settling down in Fairbanks, this young couple along with their son take a post at the Eskimo village of Wales near the Bering Straight. This story makes one wonder how things have changed among the First Nation people over the last 90 years.
