Falling Into You

Rate this book
After moving away to escape her father, eighteen-year-old Parker had only one goal—to put what happened in her hometown behind her. She would finish high school online and move on to college. She would have a chance at a normal life, finally. At least, that’s what was supposed to happen. A chance encounter with Ian—tall, green-eyed, and smokin’ hot —has Parker feeling things she has never felt before, and it’s downright scary for her. Parker’s past is darker than anyone could imagine, and letting Ian in could be the biggest mistake she’s ever made. Her fears are realized when everything around them starts to crumble after she tells him. Can Parker fight her demons with Ian by her side? Falling Into You is a new adult romance novel, and contains mentions of physical & sexual abuse, explicit language, and sexual scenes, and it is intended for persons 18 years of age and older. An Oregon native and Amazon international best-selling author, SM Stryker started writing as a way to explore the aspects of the human condition. Her stories take you on a personal journey in which her characters learn something about themselves, weaving true love stories about people destined to be together.

SM. Stryker is the dirty alter ego of a quietly introverted mortgage broker behind the stories. While she might be a wife (to her biggest cheerleader), mother of four adult daughters and grandmother of four on the outside, there's nothing but hot and steamy fantasies being plotted beneath the surface.

Known for her real-life emotionally charged, unpredictable, suspenseful but heart-warming page-turning romances novels, Stryker's stories touch on normally unspoken subjects. Her characters are strong, intense, and gut-wrenchingly real. Heroines that fight their demons to become survivors and their sexy but sensitive alpha hero's that will fight beside the women they love in their journey to find their own solace.

Stryker tries to use her platform as an author to raise awareness about sexual abuse of children and adults.

Although quiet by nature, she loves to hear from her readers!

She has shared more of the events of her life in many of her other books.

I had the pleasure of reading the original version Stolen Innocence. Below is my review from that copy. I have edited the review to remove irrelevant pieces from the beginning but aside from that this review still fits as I have also read this version and love it just as much.

The thing I loved most about this book is that it didn't just give you a story line, get to the biggest parts of what happened and then leave it there. This book had a good solid beginning middle and end. No cliff hanger. Even other books with no cliff hanger don't leave you so satisfied. Without giving away the details, the basics of this story, a young girl experiences some terrible things and sets out to make something of her life in relation to that as soon as she is old enough. As most know, one bad experience is never the end, the difference is how you deal with each bad experience and who you have with you to help you through. In this story the girl Parker happens to accidentally find a young man name Ian and they seem really taken with each other. But like with any bad experience it's hard to escape your demons and there is the possibility that the person you find can't deal with your demons and who would want them to. In this story we follow her experiences with and without Ian and see whether or not she overcomes all the obstacles placed in her way. It's a very great written story and a great read. I highly recommend.

Wow

The was a story with some tough story line but SM made it real and gave is real advise while telling the story. Child and adolescent sexual abuse is hard to talk about and hard to see unless your looking. It’s a gutsy subject to make such a huge part of this beautifully written soulmate love at first sight story. I love that even with Parker’s horrible times she was able the feel and find true love and happiness. Ian was truly an amazing man who loves with his entire being when finds his soulmate and he stops at nothing for her. SM thank you for this.

Starts with Parker dreaming and she wakes up realizing that she turns 18 today and all her plans of moving out of the house so she leaves. Parker lost her Mom 5 years ago and her adoptive father started sexual abuse her after and she started planning to move at when she turns 18. Parker runs into Ian but ran from him before he can get her name . Parker does this a couple of times before Ian finally gets her name and ask her out. In this story you learn how Parker deals with all that has happened to her. I recommend this book !

Emotional, and Intense.

This is my first time reading any books by this author, and this was an amazing intro, to a new author. This book was so well written, and the characters had been through so much is this story, and she writes about such disturbing subject matter in such a delicate way. I really enjoyed this book, it was very emotional, heartbreaking, dramatic, gripping, and twisted. I highly recommend this book.

The author does a very good job with this dark and emotional storyline. I suggest a box of tissues is kept handy whilst reading this story. It’s intense, heartbreaking but also has hope. If you are after a fluffy romance this isn’t it, if you want a book that shall draw you in and make you feel then this is the book for you, just be aware that due to the subject matter there may be some triggers for some readers.

This is an emotional story about a young girl who goes through so much after her mother passes away. This author took on a tough subject and wrote it so great I had to break out the Kleenex. I loved that Parker found Ian and how great he was for her. This is a well written story that pulled at my heartstrings with believable characters and a great ending. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

WOW. This was a very deep and emotional story. It reminded a lot of Hopeless from Colleen Hoover. This was my first read from this author and I will definitely read more. I loved Parker, she was such a strong girl. You will need tissues for this.
