勇於探索宇宙的無垠奧秘，但對人類社會的想像極其幼稚單純，雖然擅長建構世界觀，寫對話就完全不行。

To my surprise, his writing skills have shown a unique epic quality long before the Three Body trilogy. It is incredible how each short story tells a humane theme with such depth that can only be achieved in the Sci-Fi genre, thus cementing Liu's status as a pioneer in not just Chinese Sci-Fi but globally as well.
流浪地球 talks a rather unrealistic fantasy that refracts how madness and distrust spread like a pandemic in times of crisis. Here are many beautiful settings that are only possible in such a whimsical sci-fi world, such as getting married off the coast of New York on the glistening frozen Atlantic Ocean or comparing oneself to a germ in an Athenian pantheon when gazing at the thrusters.
鄉村老師 takes a more 傷痕文學/魯迅 tone and undermines the weight of education in bringing together our evolving civilization. While superstition may still be rooted in some rural places, the seed of enlightenment must sprout as it has happened many times in our history.
山 connects an individual story to a spectacular struggle of another species. It is fascinating to imagine how the course of evolution can take so many different forms when the habitat has changed. For example, for the dwellers of the planet's core, their concept of gravity is linked to space before correcting it to mass. 山無處不在，we are still an infant trying to comprehend the universe.
朝聞道 depicts the stubborn and undying spirit that has led us to incredible heights - our curiosity. Just like our innate instinct to mount a mountain even if it risks our survival, we are drawn to truths like a moth towards fire. The fact that the universe is comprehensible is itself a miracle (Einstein).
黃金原野 is a visionary tale that reminds us of the lure of the sky. 帶上她的眼鏡 on the other hand reinstills our respect for the Earth.

After re-reading Three Body Problem trilogy, I just kept craving more of his work. What a great collection of short stories!!
The end of the book also features an article of Mr.Liu’s reflection on the characteristics of good sci-fi work, and contrasted it with traditional literature. Very keen insights!

我十分喜歡這本書是流浪地球這書十分有趣，因為書中黃金原野中說到有一種藥物叫「冬神」，十分厲害，可以讓人不吃不喝很久但又不會死，睡很長時間。在黃金原野這故事中，又説到未來的美國政府以及NASA會變得十分垃圾因為故事中說到末來NASA的技術已經是太垃圾，又説到當時的幾任美國總統已因被彈劾而落台。由此可見，作者是十分悲觀，這也是個我十分喜歡劉慈欣的原因。

讀完三體後再補充作者的其他著名作品，這是一本十分好的選擇。
首先作為短篇小說集，非常容易閱讀，每一篇大約一小時內能完成，對於剛剛塞下三體極龐大故事內容的腦袋是個休息的機會。
第二，作品中處處見到三體內容的影子，當然這是因為同一個作者。這也表明了他想像中的世界觀十分一致有邏輯。我也對於再次見到二百光年外的恒星系，人馬座，冬眠技術，核聚變發動機，恒星際飛船，光速航行，星際戰爭，等等理論感到興奮。令我腦中再次出現三體的情節
最後，書中的後記是一個非常優質的補充，也令我喜歡上短篇科幻小說的威力。
不能否認的是，在看完三體和流浪地球後，我從此仰望天空的感覺再不一樣了。謝謝你，劉慈欣！

Some stories are good, some I think lacks in emotional depth, otherwise the ideas behind, as usual for cixin liu, are very fascinating

劉慈欣的長篇小說《三體》以硬科學為經，宏大的世界觀為緯，建立特有的「黑暗森林定律」，讀來讓人驚艷不已。
如果他的長篇小說是一場盛宴，那麼他的短篇小說便是讓人欲罷不能的零嘴。本書的六篇短篇小說，風格各異，短小精悍，讀來全無壓力，卻又妙趣橫生！期待他發表更多的優秀作品！
