I've never felt so flat after finishing a book as I did with this one. I LOVE Nicki Sosebee and her ongoing investigations were just what I was looking for in this next instalment but the reason for the escalation in her investigations was not!
This was a very emotional book which, to be frank, made me want to stop reading it after the first few pages but I saw it through to its conclusion and whilst I found some pleasure in the story, one big part nearly broke me . And, to top things off, it ended on a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and it really drew me back into the Nicki Sosebee series. Although murder and mayhem was common throughout the series but the murder that happened in this book was particularly difficult to digest and gave he investigation into the corruption of Winchester some new information. The book ended on atruecliffhanger and I can't wait to see what happens to Nicki next.

This is one of my favorite book series. You never know who you can trust. Nicki is set out again to find out what happened with the latest murder. Is she getting closer to finding out or will she end up dead herself? This one was very emotional & suspenseful. It did end in a cliffhanger, but it was sooo worth the read. I can’t wait to find out what happens to Nicki next!

Wow! This book was so emotional, full drama and suspense. I love this series and can't wait to read the next book in the series. I received an advance readers copy of this book.

Ok first, you MUST BE CURRENT with this series if you are going to read this book. This book is not a standalone. It is part of the continued investigation Nicki is conducting in Winchester, CO.
This book destroyed me. I really can’t even give a review without spoiling the main plot continuation for the series because ….yeah….just ugh!! I mean I was bawling in chapter 1 of the book….chapter 1 people!! AND TBH the tears didn’t stop for most of the book.
Al I can say is I loved getting to know Travis a bit better. I loved Sean’s words of love for Nicki. I loved seeing the girls helping Nicki. I loved seeing Nicki getting feisty and angry. I just hope and pray what I want to happen happens in the next and I believe final book of the series!!

BEARER OF BAD NEWS is the twelfth book in the Nicki Sosebee series. This series does need to be read in the order of release.
I need the author’s address. She ripped out my heart and I’d like to mail it to her. (figuratively)
When you get the news, you just want to wake up and find out it was just a nightmare. Instead the nightmare is your new reality (and aren’t we all sick of that phrase these days). Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance, … the five stages of grief are real. You will need tissues for this book. I recommend at least two boxes.
Nicki doesn’t just get angry. She knows there is corruption. She’s going for revenge! However with the corruption so deep, she doesn’t know who to trust anymore.
I don’t remember Jade C. Jamison ever leaving me on cliffhanger before! Thank GOD I have the next book already and can start immediately.

Definite Tear Jerkier
This is a very emotion read that will have the tears streaming down your face and pains in your chest and heart. An outstandingly well written book that ends with a cliffhanger.
