"The FASTer Way to Fat Loss has completely changed my life. I am blown away by the results I have achieved and the energy that I have felt. I'm happy too! I haven't felt genuinely giddy and happy in a while. I am so thankful to have found a program that works." —Brandi O.
"When I tell you that FASTer Way changed my life, it CHANGED MY LIFE. When I look at my before photo, I see someone who was unhappy with herself, someone who hated taking pictures, someone who was always exhausted and couldn't figure out why! But the person I see now? She's happy! She's confident! She's full of energy! She's ready to take on her day! I'm never going back." —Deanna S.
"I can now say that FASTer Way has saved my life and brought ME back!" —Kelly P.
This book has some interesting information, and while I’m sure there are people who will be unhappy with it because it doesn’t share the “secret sauce” of how to implement this methodology (it just encourages you to sign up), I felt it had other issues, as well.
It doesn’t do much to establish the author’s credibility, though the program does work (I have done it and am currently following its regimen). She needs to share her credentialing rather than just writing that she researched these things—she’s not a doctor or nutritionist. There are some typos, though that can happen to anyone. I think my biggest issue with the book is that the author asserts facts in evidence that aren’t proven: Adrenal fatigue and “leaky gut” are not universally accepted conditions in medicine, and she doesn’t even acknowledge that, she just assumes that these are facts—and anecdotally hinting that FWTFL solves fertility problems borders on snake oil salesmen’s rhetoric. So, I think the fundamental flaw is overreach in terms of what her program can do for various health conditions. But as a FASTer Way client, I can vouch for the regimen itself for getting leaner.
This would have been a more satisfying read if she’d provided more on the relevant research (instead of footnotes) for why these methodologies (16-8 fasting, carb cycling, whole foods, macro counting and workout pairing) work. Reading a whole book of proof for the claims would be the most convincing (best marketing) of all.
Read Kindle Version. Part memoir and part recommendations for fat loss. Gives a lot of high level principles but does not give actual directions or details.
I did her program from August 17 - October 12 2019 and saw amazing results. So when my coach sent me the link to the book I had to know how she came up with it. I know a lot of people think this is expensive but who puts a dollar amount of good health. Not just losing weight but preventing disease. Which is very key right at this moment with the COVID-19. I am so glad I discovered this program and really enjoyed the book learning how she came up with the concept.
This book is an advertisement for the author's weight loss and health program. It is full of testimonials and exhortation to "join".
While there appears to be some research cited, again, it's a health program for profit that is being touted. Unless you join the program and get "certified", and maybe learn the secret handshake the implication is that you won't receive the full benefit.
I guess I don't want to drink the kool aid, I was just looking for some info on intermittent fasting.
Amanda and her team do a great job introducing the Faster Way program. They detail the science and research about the program in an easy to read format. If you’re looking for a manageable lifestyle change then purchase the book! After completing two rounds of the program, I’m a believer!
This book is a great complement to the FASTer Way program! It is no good as a stand alone as it does not give you all of the details but I think it is great to read while going through the program.
I enjoyed reading the personal stories that the author and many of her clients had to overcome. The book was a good reminder about the importance of whole food nutrition,
I read this book to learn more about the FASTer way program and the research behind it. I did not find that information here. It basically feels like an infomercial for the program in book form. While I don’t doubt the program works, I wish she had provided her credentials and the research that she says she performed to understand why she has paired these methods together and why they work. I also didn’t appreciate the unfounded health claims. As someone who has struggled with infertility, it makes me angry when a dietary or lifestyle program claims to be the answer for fertility problems as this one does. Sure, eating well and exercising can help, but this is not THE answer to infertility.
