Cade had always planned to run but not like this.

Pregnant and on the run from the Alpha Prime, Cade’s car is forced off the road and into the ocean. As he sinks down into the dark, his fate certain, he sees a glimmer in the distance and a creature of myth and legend appears before him. Rescue is at hand.

Theo tried to turn his back on being a siren but it’s just who he is.

Struggling with his disconnection from the siren world, Theo heads to the Cove, arriving just in time to save a pregnant omega from a sinking car. Just when he thinks things can’t get crazier, he delivers Cade’s baby on the beach, forming a bond that has lasting ripples across their three lives.

His heart wasn’t ready to love again.

Cade had hoped the Cove would be a place of refuge for him and his son, but when danger follows him, he turns to Theo, his siren savior. He and Theo grow close as they hide out from Magnar, bonding over his cub and their restless souls. When Magnar catches their scent again, they’re forced to leave everything, even the Cove, behind.

Theo never thought he’d have anyone to share this with.

On the road once more, they wind up on the adventure of a lifetime, seeking out the truth of the sirens’ origins, the depths of their own feelings, and the answers to saving their future.

Hooked is a novel-length read, featuring an isolated siren, a troubled wolf, and their somewhat slow-burn romance, mpreg, and scenes not suitable for readers under the age of eighteen.

The least favorite book in the series and and the lowest heat of all Claire Cullen books I’ve read. 😑 Nothing literally happened until 85% mark and the UST was meh. 🤷‍♀️ And I never felt the connection between two MCs. And I’m getting a bit tired of elephant in the room. We have had problems with Alpha Prime Magnar since from book1 and now we are at book4 and literally nothing is happening. 🤦‍♀️ Since I’m invested in the series, I’ll read the 5th book and hope Miss Cullen will salvage this mess. 😶

By far, the least favorite book of the series.
There is a major discovery in supernatural world though the progress in fighting against the "Villain" is still at snail pace.
Will I follow the series? Definitely, YES!

This series actually helped me a lot. I was going through one of the worst reading slumps I’ve ever had—I couldn’t finish a book, and I wasn’t even making it past a couple of pages. Then I remembered this series, and out of nowhere I ended up reading all the books in just two days.

It’s a cute MM series, mostly focused on hurt/comfort. About 99% of the time, the MCs fall in love with someone who isn’t in the best place emotionally, but despite that, it’s not a dark read—far from it.
For now, this review will be the same across all the books, but once I re-read them, I’ll update.
If you enjoy MM romance and want something light and short, this is a great pick.

My least favorite in the series so far; I couldn't connect to the MCs, especially Theo, and I couldn't see how Cade managed to overcome the loss of the man he'd loved for so long, soon after meeting Theo. I also didn't care much for the fact that the story took place away from the Cove and the rest of the other couples. Couldn't feel the chemistry between them, just ... nada. I had to skim after the first half so I could finish it, at that point I was only interested in what would happen with Magnar, not with the two of them.

I just LOVE this series - a perfect blend of wolf shifter, siren/mermen shifters, mpreg, hurt/comfort, and a great building storyline that has me hooked. I do recommend reading in order since there are some elements that are building on each other.

With Hooked, we finally get to read Theo's story, who is the third brother from the original family in the cove, and I just loved it. He saves Cade from an accident when Cade's car goes crashing into the sea, and the two become connected immediately. To protect Cade and his son, as well as continue to search for more sirens, the trio journey to an unexplored island, hoping for answers and safety.

I loved the journey that the two of them took together, both romantically and literally. Cade and Theo were so sweet together, so gentle with their romance and love for each other. I also loved the history of the wolves and sirens and everything we find out about them while Cade and Theo are on their trip.

Things are definitely building for the final book against the Alpha Prime Magnar, and I can't wait to see how things turn out. I'm guessing it will be between the alpha they are hoping can take down Magnar, and then maybe the omega Skye?

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

I did not love this one. I think it had a lot to live up to because the 3rd in the series was just perfection. Hooked just had too much going on that we couldn’t resolve more with Cade and Theo. I wanted more healing and peace with them, more connection between Theo and Dylan. It was a great start but in the end my heart was still heavy. I did enjoy the progress in the overall story arc though. There’s a lot of history and I think we are finally going to get rid of our big baddie! I’m guessing it might be the last book in the series because of this but Magnus does have a brother to perhaps contend with too. Even though I found this book a bit lacking I can’t wait to read the next. Absolutely still a solid series and worth the read!

Hmmm...this book was probably my least favorite in the series. I just feel like it was so different from the previous books and lacked all of my favorite characters. The island that they travel to I feel like was one of my reason I wasn't a fan of this book. All of the previous books focus on the cove and the sirens that live there. I never really liked Theo from the previous books so maybe that was it too.

However, I loved how this book is setting up the final book in the series.

I somehow skipped book 3 in the series but didn’t really feel that I missed out on anything moving straight on to this book. While it was good to see Theo get his HEA, I just didn’t have any emotional connection to this book. I thought it was good and was entertaining but just fell slightly flat for me. I’ll probably read the last book in the series just to get closure. Hopefully, I’ll like it a bit more than I did this one.

This is a sweet slower burn story of a protective Alpha siren rescuing a pregnant omega wolf. Cade and Theo are great characters and I love their interactions. They are sweet and build a friendship then love and family. The story has some drama, some heat and lots of sweet. Loved it!

I received an advanced reader's copy and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

Sadly, I dint enjoy this one as much as the others.

The romance is very, very, very slow burn. Which it would have been fine if we would had at least some sexual tension between the characters but there was none until suddenly there was a lot. At 38-40% we still had 0 romance and so far no inclination from either of the characters towards one another. They just acted like 2 close friends; I felt I was reading an adventure book between two close friends.

It’s only at 80 something almost 90% that we had our first love making scene and it was...not worth the wait at all. It was bland, boring and uneventful. I expected more passion; the passion that usually comes after a long ass slow burn. There was none here.

At around 40% I skimmed scenes A LOT until the end, just enough to know what’s going on.

WARNING: the book ends on a cliffhanger.

Theo finally got his story and it’s not at all what I expected but it’s fantastic. We are introduced to Theo’s mate in a very unusual way and it sets the pace for the rest of the book. Fast, exciting, passionate and dangerous. I love this story.
More sirens have been found and events are coming that will change the shifter world as we know it. This is definitely the best book of the series and it left me hanging by my fingernails for the next book. It’s not exactly a cliffhanger but at the end of this book, we know their next task and they about to head right into it.
Oh – and there are more babies!

I just love this series.

I was a little afraid after reading some very negative reviews... But I ended enjoying it. Maybe I agree in this not being as good as the first three, but it's not bad either.

We discover more about wolf and sirens origins, about the sickness, the lack of alphas and the solution. It was good and I liked meeting the Islanders.

It's true nothing much happens aside from that. The book starts with Cade on the run, ending deep into the hater, heavily pregnant and being followed. Theo saves him and helps him, but Magnar won't give him up and the Cove is not a safe place for him.

The books was about healing, about trusting and about second chances. I would liked for it to deepen into Damien and Cade's relationship, about how it works to lose a mate and meet another. I can understand some being dissatisfied by this, but unlike them, I actually felt Theo and Cade fit each other, so I didn't have an issue with it.

What I didn't quite understand as much was why Cade couldn't stay in the Cove... I will hide the why with spoiler tags:

I loved Dyland and Theo together, seeing them made my day and I enjoyed reading the book.

Can't wait to the ending, for them to win and for sirens and warewolves to give future a change. Together.

Okay, ummm this was something. I've read the first and second books and I'm wondering if I had cotton in my eyeballs at the time or I was drunk out of mind because I remember liking them. This one however, was something. I'm really starting to hate the mpreg trope because it's starting get a little out of hand to be honest. I don't know how in god's name that man delivered a baby in two point five seconds, without even a flinch or a cry or blood or anything, but lord knows maybe Claire discovered a new way of giving birth! And he was standing up again and walking in another six seconds. Now I don't know if it was because he was male or because he was a werewolf but that shit was jacked the fuck up!

*Sigh*
The running reuse of the same villain in all the books is getting old. And quite frankly, Magnar's an idiot!

It would've taken a stone and a shove on his shoulder to kill him, but it's taken y'all six books?!! (For the record I would like to point out that I have not read all the books so I don't really know how long it took them to kill the fuckin bitch, but back to the review.)

I got so tired of hearing, Magnar this, Magnar that and Magnar, Magnar, Magnar, Magnar. He's a tool! Who's so fuckin in denial that his sperm doesn't swim right that he's bothering everybody else! Like dude?! Adopt a freaking alpha and got to hell! Please!

Otherwise, now that I think about it. Books 2-6 or 7 or who fuckin cares, were completely unnecessary and just time wasting. As an author(well, upcoming anyway) I understand how much pressure it is writing in a villain and having it make sense, so imma go easy on you for that, but it was wholey unnecessary for you to stretch the same guy for over six books.

And! People don't give birth in two seconds! I think that's something you need to explain, please cause, like, why? Just why?

Anyway I hope I wasn't being too mean with this one, but I'm a bit frustrated today.

Bye

Very interesting characters. It was nice to see Cade, a pregnant omega and Theo, a very lonely and low key miserable siren find each other.

Of course, nothing is more romantic than saving someone from drowning and then helping them deliver their child. It was a very interesting way to connect the characters to each other. And a very cute and lovable way to tie Theo and the little cub. It was so sweet how right from the start, Theo was so caring for the cub and how the cub sought him out. He knew from the start that Theo was gonna be his dad.

I love how we slowly get to learn more and more about werewolves and sirens. The history which connects them all and how we are quickly approaching the end of Magnar.

God that man is tiring and has stayed in power for way too long. Hopefully, the next couple will help put an end to that.

Onto the last book!!

This is another amazing story in the Siren Cove series and it is by far my favorite. I love the direction this series is going in and the world building is excellent. It is well written, sweet, sad, emotional, full of hope for the future, has lots of cute kids, a great storyline and the characters are incredible. Cade and Theo are wonderful together and I love how their relationship develops. They have to deal with several issues but there is finally a possible solution for all of the problems that have been afflicting the wolves and the sirens. The secondary characters add a lot to the story, the ending is perfect and I can't wait to read the next book in this exciting series.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

sirens and wolves

Claire Cullen has come up with a unique take on shifters and mermaids and I love it.
While these books could theoretically be trad as stand alone you would miss quite a bit of context doing so.
Theo finally gets his story and I was a little worried I wouldn't like the grumpy siren. He seemed pretty standoffish in the previous books. Cullen gives us a reason for that in this one.
I liked Cade and I should note that these books were my first omegaverse (and mpreg) experience. I'm not sure I really love the whole meek omega thing. in the previous stories the omegas were all sirens or half siren and did not have that personality trait. Cade does.
But I did emphasize with Cade and enjoyed the story so it wasn't too big of a deal.

I'm sorry but I hated it. Like what the f is this? I expected something different for Theo's story but not this. Definitely not him getting that asshole's sloppy second. No, not second but someone's sloppy thirds. And I know that might sound heartless and harsh but that's how pissed I am this point.

I know Theo's an asshole but I expected so much more. All the other books were great. Like did we run out of ideas or something?

I wanted much to DNF this but pushed through it and still ended up hated it in the end. I didn't get that connection between the two like I did with the others which made everything worse. I wanted to give this a one star so bad but couldn't because I adore the family and the underlying plot with the Prime Alpha but ... I'm so disappointed right now.

Loner finds love

I read this as an ARC.
Hooked is the fourth book in the Siren Cove novel and concerns the third Siren Cove brother, Theo, and an escaped mate of the Alpha Prime, Cade.
It contains all the usual romance and adventure, as well as some really big reveals about the history of werewolves and sirens and how that affects their future.
I enjoyed the journey of Cade slowly working to trust Theo, and Theo working through his issues concerning werewolves.
I'm excited for the final book!

This is the fourth book in the Siren Cove series

Finally we have Theo's love story and what a story it was I really liked this couple and I'm so glad that the brother's have finally found their mates and other Sirens . I also like the history behind both the Siren 's and the wolves and what and why they became separate. This is it this series is almost at an end but we have one more love story to go . Known we'll have Rafael and Sky's love story I can't wait for the next book in this series this has really been a good series .

Things are heating up

I really enjoy this series. The editing is good which makes it easier to get immersed in the story. I love the merpeople. That everything is coming together and tying up loose ends is well done. The way the focus in this book isn't on some overblown drama between Theo and Cade is nice. The focus is on Magnar and the disappearance of the merpeople and that makes it so much more interesting. The setting is fabulous! I want a tropical island! Read this series it's great.

ALONE NO MORE

I love this series!!! Book #4 in the SIREN COVE series is just as exciting as the first three. Alpha Siren Theo rescues an Omega Wolf named Cade. This forces Theo to look inside himself and make some hard changes. They are both in for some huge surprises. Life takes them to places that no one could ever imagine. This is exciting. CLAIRE CULLEN has done it again and readers will be overjoyed. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS SPECTACULAR SERIES!!!!!

More Questions than Answers

This is an interesting continuation of the storyline though it does not reach the same level of satisfaction of the first three books. While the character development is acceptable, the story development leaves the reader with a promise at the end, and a need to know more. Not a cliffhanger exactly but lacking that short resolution found in the first three books.

I thought this book was okay definitely not the best in the series, but I was waiting on Theo to find his significant other since the second book. This book is definitely very slow and doesn’t really go into detail as to why they eventually fall in love. That being said we finally get an explanation as to what has been happening with the sirens, as well as a build-up of what I’m assuming are the next couple and the end of this series.

Dragged a bit in the second half but stil good.

I'm not going to spoil anything. I kust thoight that after the second act things dragged compared to the other two books. It became a long character study with little action. Touring the setting didn't pick things up again.
I did appreciate the author touching on trauma in some of her characters. It was a bit shallow but believable and engaging.
Lookig forward to book 5

Mermen and Wolves an intriguing combo!

Ms. Cullen definitely has something here. There is lots of mystery, sexy glances, intrigue, with a little bit of angst. There is a history to the wolves and sirens (mermen). It needs to be brought to light. Can this happen? Will they succeed? OMG! I can't wait to find out. I will definitely be on pins and needles until Ms. Cullen's next book in this series comes out. I do hope it will be sonnet rather than later. Just my wishing though.
