In "Sergei (Red Bratva Billionaires #2)" heroine, Kai's accountant father steals from his boss but when Sergei meets Kai, he decides to take her until her father can pay his debt.
This was a very 'steamy' enemy to lover story and the mafia angle was secondary to the couple's story!

Weak storyline with very little activity aside from sex scenes, and which aside from the first couple encounters were repetitive. Character development was inadequate, whether descriptive or plot building. For instance, we read next to nothing about this hero’s mafia lifestyle where one might feel his power, his reach, or inspire a sense that he’s the Don (equivalent in Russian). There is not much if any reluctance on the heroine’s part for her situation. In fact, she seems to enjoy it. Not there is anything wrong with that but the book did not naturally arrive to her acceptance or enjoyment of her circumstance. The hero also seems to be quickly enamored by the heroine with no explanation. The couple simply fall for each, but why?
I stopped at 80% as everything I was reading up until that point was much of the same with no plot progression, no change, and by then I cared very little about the characters or their outcome.

3.00 Stars. (BW/WM). Kindle e-book. The heroine, Kai Ballard, is the virginal daughter of a money laundering thieving accountant to the hero, Sergei Ivanov, the billionaire businessman who heads a Russian Bratva family. Sergei decides to take and hold Kai as collateral until her father can repay the half million dollars he stole. I didn’t dislike the characters but the storyline kept changing. Bazaar. I had a hard time categorizing this story...it isn’t dark, Kai has her own room and is free to move about the house, Sergei cooks for her, takes her to visit his family-it isn’t enemies to lovers, they exchange curt flirty remarks that border on comedy which ends with him fondling her-it isn’t romantic in the emotionally connected couple in a relationship way- it’s mostly two people getting off sexually, the Kai willingly without hesitation gives her virginity to hero during a threesome with a stranger; basically, Sergei teaches Kai how to get kinky. From their initial meeting at her father’s house, Kai has been tingling and pulsing and desiring sex with Sergei. In the end, they marry and start a family. 😏 smirk.

Alright, now this one was a little tricky for me. I do not like virgin romances... However, many romance authors steer this way at one point or another so I deal with it. Because this was the last book I had to read in the series (I read them: 3,1,2) I had to complete it. (Its a mental thing) I did quite enjoy that it wasn’t your run of the mill virgin love story. And the hero was into voyeurism so it gained an edge. I know most people are going to feel that it is too far fetched however, given the things I know about how and in what manner friends have lost their virginities, it wasn’t so crazy. Still think the story moved to fast into the sex given her status.

An entertaining read
Liked both characters. Though the story is mainly told from Kai's point of view. We only get Sergei's perspective in the extended epilogue. I know this is a romance but I would have liked more storyline and less sex which though pleasant seemed rather gratuitous. I mean so felt that the author used sex as a way for filling in the gaps in the story. This had the potential to be an exciting story but everything happens too soon. It did not give the characters a chance to really develop their relationship. The introduction of Dominic was weird it strangely sexy. A good read reminds me of Kaye Blue's Mafia stories but without the violence. Good read

This was a great read.
I couldnt help but read it cover to cover in one sitting.
It is now 4:30 in the morning.
Too bad I have to be up at 7, or I would go back and read book 1 of this series.
Coco is a new author I will watch out for.
Sergei was not what I expected.
Neither was Kai.
I loved this HAWT, sweet and passionate book.
I would recommend.

This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. Kai’s father owes a lot of money to the Russian mafia and he decides her until the dept is paid. Sergei doesn’t like Kai but as they spend time together sparks begin to fly. Will he send her back to her father? Fast-paced off the charts hot read. Entertaining story and steamy chemistry. I was hooked from beginning to end. I loved it!

I love this series! This book is brilliantly written, sweet, and emotionally deep. It is fast pace and easy to follow with a strong storyline that captures your attention from the start. Intriguing characters with explosive off the charts chemistry between them. Definitely recommended!

This book has quite a few steamy scenes that may not be to everyone’s taste. If you enjoy hot alpha mobsters who are attracted to sweet ladies, then you should enjoy this book. It’s a fairly short book only taking a couple hours to read.

I like this one because it is a bit rough around the edges, not the writing, the story. Sergi takes an innocent daughter, so her father has the incentive to repay the money he stole but finds himself craving her defiance and innocence. It's a quick read compared to Victor; however, it definitely keeps your attention!

Nope just did not work
I really wanted to like SERGEI, the second book in the Red Bratva Billionaires series by Coco Miller after liking the first book,MAXIM. Plus the book description looked like it would be really fun and could get really interesting. But unfortunately this book just did not work and missed it's potential by a long ways, at least for me.
Sergei has taken Kai and his holding her captive until her father pays back the money he stole. She basically suffers Stockholm syndrome and instead of being upset with what is happening and trying to figure a way out all she wants to do is have Sergei take her V-card. Add in some really unbelievable ways the characters act and it was just not working for me, even as an erotica story. I think the author missed a great opportunity with this story as it could have been a really entertaining story with good characters.

Two stars was being generous because I really wanted to give it one star but I just could do it. I have enjoyed Coco’s books but couldn’t get with this one. 1. Kai was barely out of high school. 2 Sergei told Kai who is a virgin that she could pay off her fathers debt by having sex with him. Can you say prostitution? 3. Up until that point of the book she repeatedly said that she was afraid of him but yet she agreed to have sex to eliminate a debt. 4. He took her to a sex and had a threesome for her first sexual experience which doesn’t say I cherish you. That was the last straw so I didn’t go any further with this book. As I mentioned earlier i have read other books by Coco with a similar them but this was just to much. To each his own. Others might enjoy this book. Until next time y’all happy reading.

Sergei takes Kai as part of the debt her dad owes Sergei for his stealing ways. Only it takes longer for her family to repay the debt. In the mean time things start to progress bewteen Sergei and Kai, there chemisrty is strong, so when the debt is paid Segei says shes free to leave but does she. The formatting of the digital book all off. It took away from the experience of reading the book. It was a very common plot line and an okay read. It could've been much better. Author should've added some plot changes to make it stand out and make it more interesting and unique.

Couldn't get into thi... Couldn't get into this like the other. I hate how most BWWM books the relationships start off forced or because she's selling herself. She could've fallen for him and later found out about her father but the way this comes off is a turn off. 8/14/2019 13:43

I'll rate this book a 3... I'm not sure if Coco Miller's pseudonym is also Cara Chance or vice versa.This book is the same as "Sold to my Father's Friend" Read the book one after the other by chance. Was ok... romantic but not that thrilling for me. Not sure probably it got me comparing the two.

Book is an excellent read! Thinking 🤔 I should have read Book 1 in that I did not understand the reason for Dominic. Glad they ended up together & she is away from her parents.
