And the one man from my past who’s off-limits has a hero complex. He’s been hired to keep me safe and doesn’t play by any rules except his.

Tina Saxon lives in Dallas, Texas, with her husband and two kids. She’s not afraid to try new things because it’s outside the box of typical housewife. CEO of her home is by far the most rewarding job she has ever had. Her jobs include, but are not limited to, seamstress, carpenter, craft extraordinaire, PTA President, chauffeur, dance mom, mediator—of mentioned kids—and author. Once upon a time she was a Financial Analyst but traded budgets and forecasts in for diapers and bottles. The former was definitely easier but the latter more fulfilling.

Tina’s love for reading surged into her passion for writing. Wanting to bring the reader an intriguing story that’s hard to put down with steamy love scenes that heat you up, she’s always thinking of the perfect way to take you down that path.

I read the first three books in this series in 2017/2018 and enjoyed the other books! I then discovered that this author had released this book and I was really excited because I had no idea this book was releasing! The synopsis sounded intriguing and I really wanted to read it! I did do a re-read of the first three books before reading this one just to refresh my memory, even though this book focuses on secondary characters! After reading this book, I can say that I loved this book a lot! The plot developed at the perfect pace and it kept me wanting to read on and find out what was going to happen next! The plot was also completely different to what I was expecting, but there was a lot of romance in it as well as some action and suspense! The romance allowed for quite a few seriously hot scenes and the action and suspense added a lot to the plot! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Sydney was the main female character, and I felt for Sydney in this book because she was trying to come to terms with a huge loss and she really struggled! Sydney came a long way in this book though and she managed to create an amazing career for herself! She was also easy for me to connect with and it was amazing to get the chance to go inside her head! Max was the main male character and love interest of Sydney! I loved Max in the other books in this series, so I couldn't wait to get inside his head! Max was such an amazing guy in this book! It was easy to see how much he cared about Sydney and he was very protective of her as well, which was completely understandable considering someone was after her! Max was also always there for Sydney and he helped her through a lot! I loved that this book was written from both Sydney and Max's point of views! I was hoping that this book was going to be written from dual point of view because two of the other books have been written this way! I'm really happy that it was because it helped me connect more woth Sydney and Max, which helped as they were both going through their own situations! It allowed for more things to happen in the plot as well, especially as the characters didn't spend every second of the plot together! I also loved that Addison and Aiden, who were the main characters in the first three books, made appearances in this book! I'm not sure if there's going to be more books in this series because I wasn't expecting this book lol! It does say at the end of this book that there's going to be a sort of other books lol! I can't wait to read it and I'll definitely be anticipating its release! I really hope there isn't a long wait, but I'll still hang on if there is lol! I still have one other book from this author to read as well! The cover for this book is also absolutely perfect for it! I love how well it suits the book and it makes more sense after you read the book! The cover would draw me to the book as well if I didn't already know the author's name!

Max and Sydney, finally!!

I loved both Max and Sydney from the Twist of Fate trilogy. I'm so happy to finally have their story. It was a difficult road, but good things in life take hard work. Max is amazing! He loves Sydney with ever part of his being. He needed to forgive himself and love himself enough to fight for what he wanted. Sydney is so resilient. Life just kept throwing her punches but she kept getting back up. She questioned herself so many times, but finally began to take control of her life by learning to let go. Sometimes being strong means giving in and letting go, sometimes it means hanging on for dear life, and sometimes it means giving up control. Max and Sydney learned all of this and more in this book. They have a beautiful love story.

I have read all of Ms. Saxon's books, and will continue to read the new ones she publishes. Her writing is so complex and detailed. I never know where the story is going, and for a contemporay romance that is truly rare. Her writing will bring you into the book. You will feel like you are living the story and your real life is fiction!

I loved Max and Sydney’s story! Her experience broke my heart!!! And when she sung Lost Boy on that stage, I couldn’t help but cry! It was like I was there witnessing the pain and heart ache coming off of her! Tina Saxon did such a good job with her story telling! Umm I also need to know what is next for Rex?! And does Harper finally rope her in one of those Hashtag worthy men?! And what happens with Bryn!! Don’t leave us hanging! Lol

I loved this book! Max has been one of my favorite characters of Tina’s in both the Twist of Fate series and Blinding Echo. I was so excited to read Max and Sydney’s story and it did not disappoint. Can’t wait to read the next book!

Finally, I got around to Sydney and Max. I’ve been far too curious about this pair since we saw them first meet. And to honest, I did like this book. I do like this pairing, my only issue with them was that it didn’t feel like the same Sydney and Max we had seen in the previous books. Now I understand she’s dealing with her grief and guilt here, and that changes a person, but she felt different here, in her own book, compared to seeing her as a side character. And I’m just not quite sure how I feel about that. And the same with Max. He was still the same but also felt different to me. I still liked them both, but getting to know them here in their own book just felt a little weird. I feel like I maybe had my expectations a little bit too high going into this. But that is 100% a me problem. The story here was fine. I quite like a bodyguard trope. The stalker drama didn’t really amount to much or drag on for too long. There were only a couple of incidents and then a kidnapping scene which lasted maybe a chapter or two. It felt brushed over quite quickly to be honest. The rest of this was just them navigating the their relationship. But overall, the book was good. I definitely preferred this over Addison and Aiden’s books, but that’s more just because I find Max and Sydney a little bit more to my liking.

A spin-off which can be read as a stand-alone, but I’d recommend reading the Twist of Fate series first. I enjoyed Max’s and Sydney’s arc. The course of true love never runs smoothly and this was definitely the case for this couple. Max is totally swoon worthy and I always hoped he would get his HEA. On the whole, a satisfying reunion. The Twisted Wings song which can be found on Spotify was very moving.

It isn’t as fast paced as it’s predecessors; the suspense element culminating prematurely. In addition, there were certain aspects I would have preferred fleshed out more, ie. Sydney’s relationship with her mother/Addison and the guilt that supposedly consumed Sydney, as I felt Damon was overlooked. However, given the fact a year had passed before Max and Sydney are reunited, it’s understandable.

Definitely worth a read if you’re a fan of the Twisted Fates series!

After reading this book I had to take a little time to compose myself and get my thoughts clear in my head before I put them in a review.
Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.

My second book to read by Author Tina Saxon (the first was Blinding Echo). Obviously, I didn't read in order of the series. But I thoroughly enjoyed Twisted Wings and the push and tug between Sydney and Max. I loved watching the layers of each one of them peel away as the growth of them and their personalities were revealed. As they learned more about each other than they were aware off or thought they knew.
I enjoyed the overall storyline and all the characters. Now I need to read the first books of this series! (Fate Hates, Fate Heals, Fate Loves)

Oh my goodness, I am so in love with Sydney and Max. After tragedy struck, Sydney tried to hide from her past with a new start. But her past quickly became her future when Max walked back in to her life. I always hoped these two would work their way back together. I love love love Sydney's sassy attitude towards life, and Max for that matter. Max always gets what he wants and when these 2 collide, sparks ignite! Can't wait to read Ryker's story!

This is an extension of the “Fate” series and I LOVED that series. This was a nice change without too much angst. It was very sweet and I LOVE Max.
This is Sydney and Max’s story. Sydney becomes a famous singer and of course Max needs to protect her since he has a security business. Sydney and Max first hooked up in Fate series. This is a beautiful love story.

Max and Sydney

I loved that this story had parts of the past in it to show the full storyline. You get to read about the characters from the other series but this one is set in its own setting and state, which I really liked.

I felt for Max in the Fated series. And as much as I wish things could’ve worked out differently I’m glad he got his HEA with Syd. Whom broke my heart in this book. The guilt she felt over the events was sad. But I loved this book and malice Maxs dominate ways lol 🥵🥵
