But Patrick can’t stop thinking about her.

She is epitome of grace, beauty and sensuality. And every time his eyes land on her, all he can think is how much he wants to mark her as his own.

Pat knows that acting on whatever feelings he has for Brit will be his downfall because she is his step sister.

But one event.

One announcement.

One night of mourning of her heartbreak leads them to bed, probably fueled by liquid courage or by their own insatiable desires for each other that both have kept hidden for so many years.

omg this was bad. why no one mentioned in the review how bad it was. starting was bad. and again in the middle it was bad. and end was sooooo bad. i couldn't give zero, so i gave one.

not gonna edit because don't want to spend anymore time on this book.

i am gonna explain how bad. this book is definitely not for my safety gang. so many triggers and the ending is just so unsatisfying.

step sibling falls in lust after crushing on each other for long time.

son's mother wants his step sister to fall in love so that she will give her half stock to him.

the company is of father which he gives half to his step-son and half to his daughter.

mom plans to take whole company and the son AGREES TOO. although a bit reluctantly but still. where is the romance?

oh and before that he already slept with her. and the same evening she was having sex with her boyfriend who cheated on her during the party, after having sex with her in the same party. and did i mention her step bro saw his step is and this boyfriend having sex and told them to be get back to the party because there father was going to announce about the company and them same night he slept with her. in first couple of chapter itself. and now wants to use that affection to take whole company.

then while making her he also fell in love with her.

STEP SIS finds outs. runs away. little groveling by step bro. step sis don't accept apology. mom try's to kill her so that her son gets everything. son takes the bullet and voila! SHE FORGIVES HIM. actually the moment he get shot the story ends and epilogue after one year.

no mention of who finally got the company. whole book he never explained his part why he did what he did. not once he said i don't want the company. i don't why he went with his mother plan if he loved her. even in the end we don't get what is there relationship in work and personal life.

I MEAN WHERE IS THE ROMANCE!

you may ask what happen to his mother. well apparently she had some mental issue and no charges were on her. her son still takes care of her. and he also with his step sis.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS.

This book grabbed me from the start and I didn’t set it down until I finished it.
I probably will be frowned at but I don’t think there is anything wrong with an attraction and/or relationship between steps. This story has more than that. There are a number of complications that go against these two getting together. There is Britney’s dad Chris who everyone likes including his stepson Pat. Since Chris is a politician anything can be a negative to his image. This story has so many twists such as Pat’s mom appearing to be money and status grabbing. She enters into what could have been a easy attraction between Britney and Pat and adds to put issues between them. I really liked Britney and Chris’s best friends. They added a lot to the story also. I enjoyed the ending finding out more about Pat’s mom. Her issues end up worse than coveting money and status. I think at the end I feel sorry for Chris. He appears to want to do his best for his family but he sure gets more than his share of unhappiness. I hope the author puts together a story for Chris. I really enjoyed this story and it kept my attention to the end.

Patrick and Britney meet when their parents get married. They are close to each other but they have always secretly wanted the other. Of course, this is impossible now. Britney’s father, Chris, has treated Patrick like a son and announces that he plans to leave his company to both Patrick and Britney to run together. I don’t think there is anything wrong with an attraction and/or relationship between steps. But it turned out that in the end the two young people Patrick and Britney get to explore their relationship.

Patrick and Britney have been attracted to each other since the first time they met - when his mother married her father. Dad's plan is to retire, and turn his company over Pat and Brit as co-CEOs. Mom cooks up a scheme for Pat to had Brit fall in love with him and disgrace her so that Dad will turn the company over to Pat alone. Only one little problem - they fall in love with each other. For. Real. Unfortunately, Brit finds about Mom's plan before Pat has the nerve to confess to her. I liked this book - it took a dark turn like the others in this series - but we ended up with a very happy ending.

Exceptional! This is one wild ride! It is a well written, fast pace, and action-packed mystery romance! The storyline is well thought out, witty, funny; with suspense, deception, heartbreak, attempted murder, and intrigue. The characters Brittany and Patrick are likeable; their chemistry is intense and off the charts. This story grabs your attention from the start and keeps it until the end … you will find yourself completely engrossed in the interesting plot. Definitely recommended - A Must Read!

Parental interference or just a devious parent?
I can see where two steps falling in love would be complicated but it is more so because of Chris he has to watch his image. Just a side note I think too many politicians are full of it so what if there is a slight problem with an image when did they stop being human okay back to my review. This was an amazing book Patrick and Britney were great characters, it was hot, entertaining okay it was a fun read! I highly recommend!! New to this author but found her writing so intregring and the story just pulled me in and i could't put this book down. The characters are strong and they grab your interest and give you the feels. The plot kept you wondering where it was all going and who was good and bad. Pat and Brit have wonderful chemristy but a complicated relationship being as they are step siblings. This is one story that keeps you intrested and turning the pages to get to the end for the HEA.

It was definitely complicated, that's for sure. If they loved each other, why not be together? Britney and Patrick had chemistry off the charts. I also felt that Patrick's mother got off a little too easily after all of her machinations. A good read! I voluntarily read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

LOVED IT!!!! Wonderfully developed characters, HOT, yet still sweet, and as always— just when you you think you have figured out the twist at the end, you are completely wrong.
