Omega Celibacy Club #3

Make Me Trust You

Rate this book
Omega Celibacy Club, Book Three

Biology is easy for Emmett Christianson, and it’s not because of his off-the-charts IQ, it’s simply because biological reactions make sense. At least, they do in the lab. His own biological reactions when he’s asked to tutor Preston College’s star quarterback, though? Those ones are a little more confusing.

It turns out there’s more to Bryce than just football. He’s also funny, and nice, and so hot that Emmett can’t seem to make it through a single tutoring session without embarrassing himself. So sure, it makes sense why Emmett would fall for him… the confusing part is when Bryce starts acting like he might like Emmett, too.

Emmett is smart enough to know that an alpha like Bryce would never actually be interested in him. What he can’t seem to figure out is what Bryce really wants.

MAKE ME TRUST YOU is the third book in the Omega Celibacy Club series, a contemporary omegaverse world where the only thing stronger than an alpha’s will is his desire to keep his omega happy, and where even smart omegas can sometimes act stupid, especially when they don’t trust that what’s right in front of them is real.

Angel Knots is the pen name of a rabid Omegaverse fan who also happens to be a writer.

In real life, Angel goes by another name and pens contemporary gay romance stories when she's not chasing after the two small humans she spawned during the last decade.

She knows that the fans of her other books may not appreciate knotting, soul-bonds, and male impregnation as much as she does, so with the flick of a pen she created a new identity and happily started filling blank pages with self-lubricating omegas and the alphas they love.

The OCC is back for the summer, biology is ruling the body and football is life. But there’s an awkward, hot jock alpha who is ready to get his game on with his shy nerdy omega. Welcome back boys. It’s time for touching. I mean a touchdown. Score!

I’ve been waiting for Emmett’s story from book one. Jocks and shy nerdy characters are one of my favorite pairings. This was super sweet and low on the angst scale compared to the others. I found myself frustrated the first 50% with all the miscommunication but everyone gets their shit together and it works out. I kind of liked how there were ample opportunities for common drama, read crazy stalker fan here, but the author chose not to go there keeping it light and sweet. Nolan’s book tore me up lol.

We know from previous books, Emmett had been tutoring last school year. But this summer, Tristan and Emmett find they need some new roomies. Imagine Emmett’s surprise when the hot jock he’d been tutoring says he’s there to move in. Emmett is hilarious with his stammering and blushing around Bryce and all things involving sex. I loved how both were virgins and learning together. Bryce was a good alpha looking after Emmet. Like I said, sweet.

Tristan is hilarious with his no filter mouth. I love characters like that. I’m really looking forward to his book. He’s the last omega standing and he deserves an alpha and a family. But I’ve got a sneaking suspicion his book is going to be angsty af.

I will say I was a bit disappointed this one was riddled with editing issues I didn’t notice in the other two books. I expected a bit better given the quality of the other two.

See you at the next OCC meeting! I’m sure Tristan will have sweets.

That was an awesome alpha omega read. Just how I loved them

Bryce knows Emmett is his mate, even Emmett himself doesn’t realize it yet.
With a big career in front of him, a thing Bryce his father is a big push with it, Bryce knows Emmett is it for him, more than a career can ever be.
Now he has to conquer him and make him his.
Emmett, the awkward intelligent one, is constantly flustered around Bryce and when his heat starts he only wants Bryce.

It’s a lovely story with a good plot. Engaging personalities with a high level of sexual tension.
Very appetizing to watch.
I loved Bryce his determination, I loved the shy Emmett, together they were everything.
A wonderful captivating story, written in an amazingly kind way and with a lot of passion for the A/o troop. I loved the positive atmosphere.
It kept me in its spell from the first page till last. Alpha omega story pur sang!
The side story with Tristan was intriguing. Can’t wait for that one!

Though Bryce and Emmett were cute, I found that Tristan stole the spotlight with his sunny personality. I didn't read the previous book of this series (maybe I'll read it later), but this was good to read as a stand alone. The OCC alone was adorable.
I liked Emmet and Tristan's friendship. And if you like a sweet omega-verse story with a blushing omega and a possessive alpha, you'll probably dig this book happily.
I enjoyed the first fifty percent a lot, because...Tristan!
It went a bit downhill after that, but thank God the ending was sweet.
I think, since Tristan stole a lot of my attention, I hope I can read Tristan's story in the near future.

Ohhhh Emmett! I just have all the heart eyes for how adorable you are, and how cute you and Bryce were together. <3 <3 <3

This might be my favorite OCC book yet (well, that's until Tristan's book, which I think will be all sorts of amazingness) as I just completely loved Emmett and Bryce together. For readers who love the jock/shy nerd pairing, this is a must-read! (And mpreg and heats - you must like that, too)

I enjoyed that they were pretty serious when it came to the possibility of an early pregnancy and took plans to make sure that Emmett would still have a career post-college. And I just loved how completely gone for the other they were, even without a certainty that they were fated mates. This was just sunshine and rainbows for the most part, perfect story for these boys!

I've also really enjoyed how the author is writing this series - we have the main couple, and it overlaps with some hints over what's due to come for another character. We get the setup for Tristan's story throughout this one, which I absolutely CANNOT wait for! I think his story is going to be a bit angst-ier than the previous stories, but Tristan needs an epic HEA!

If you're a fan of some insta-love, insta-lust, heats, super-heats, knotting, adorable nerds, sweet jocks, then you've gotta try this series.

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

~Love is just a word, until someone arrives to give it meaning ~ P.C.

Even if sounds like a cliché , the Omega Celibacy Club gets better with each new book.

Make Me Trust You by Angel Knots is a light hearted, delightfully quirky and very hot Rom-Com set in the Omegaverse Universe.

Book 3 in the OCC book series is about Emmett and Bryce and their journey to HEA made me laugh, giggle and cry . Their story entertained and charmed me. I loved it.

There's something really special and unique in Angel Knots writing style ; that is refreshing , unexpected and a bit addictive. Looking forward reading next book of the series.

I think so far this is my favorite. Not that I don’t like Simon or Nolan, but there’s just something so stinking endearing about Emmett. He’s so bashful and shy. Every little thing makes his body blush. Especially Tristan’s over blunt mouth lol. But he’s just the most adorable little omega ever. I just love his personality. Because under that shy, sweet man, beats the heart of a romantic, and one hoping that he will get his fated mate too.
Ever since Emmett tutored Bryce last year to help keep his grades up for football, Emmett has been half in love. But something about that alpha makes him fumble everything he says and does and he can’t quit blushing. When the year was finally over, he couldn’t keep Bryce out of his mind, but thought maybe he’d get a bit of a breather. Nope. Because guess who just asked to be their new roomie, since Simon and Nolan have moved out. Sure enough, it’s Bryce and he’s here to stake his claim on the little omega that has blown his mind. Emmett is his. He doesn’t care what anyone else says. He loves the sexy little glasses and his big nerdy brain. To Bryce, Emmett is perfection incarnate and it ticks him off no one sees it. But then again, he might have to hurt someone if they did. But Bryce’s dad is making things hard on Bryce, by constantly pushing and butting in about football. And in his effort to get his dad off his back, he totally rejected Emmett after helping him through a heat and telling him they were forever. But Emmett can’t get past that hurt and needs space. And now Bryce needs to figure out a way to make it up, because he just screwed up the best thing that happened to him…..ever.
I get in college...priorities. Some it’s nothing but party days, but for others, they seriously want to get through and succeed in life. Make a career. But sometimes some priorities overcome others. And when those come along, it’s time to put things into perspective. Bryce messed up royally and he knew it. And I was with Tristan in wanting to hurt the man badly. There was no reason to reject his mate that way. No matter what the parentals say. I hate that it took something tragic to make him see the light, but sometimes that’s what it takes. Sometimes we have to have the very core of ourselves shaken in order to make us see what’s been in front of us all along. And Emmett was it. Emmett has been the one all along, who’s been there, shyly waiting in the background, hoping and waiting for Bryce to make things right and claim him. And Emmett deserves the best. He doesn’t deserve to be cast away or treated any different. He deserves to be loved for the man he is.
I think Tristan’s story is going to run a close second for favorite for me. I love his personality as well and his lack of filter. Plus his exuberance for life. It’s just like a ball of sunshine constantly making you smile. He’s makes Emmett so flustered all the dang time, but he also helps Emmett come out of his shell a bit more. I love them both. Something about these two have just hit me hard. So, yeah, I can’t wait for Tristan’s story too.

Shy nerdy biology major tutors football star jock and develops a major crush... or is it something stronger? And does the hot jock feel the same way? That just couldn’t be possible... or could it?

Bryce’s status as a university football star means he has a shot of being drafted into the pros, a dream of his dad’s. Bryce loves football, but since meeting Emmett he knows deep down that Em is the omega for him... he just needs to convince Em of it while keeping their relationship off his dad’s radar.

In addition to Bryce’s dad, there are some very hot heats of Emmett’s to contend with, a Superfan omega rival, and a nasty peanut allergy — this is a very fun ride, with the steam level turned up to 11! Don’t miss this one!

I liked how the bonding of these two happened a little differently from the previous two stories, although the "not fully explaining what I'm talking about" miscommunication bit of the story was as annoying as hell. I swear, Bryce needed to use all the words, not just part of the explanation of how he felt about Emmett. If only he had really listened to what Helen told him in the first place!

This was one of the cutest books I’ve ever read!! Emmett was so adorable and awkward and I loved him. Him and Bryce were so sweet together I almost couldn’t handle it. Plus they had the whole jock/nerd pairing going on which I’m a huge fan of. There was also some steam too of course and it was great… I just got more giddy over the cuteness of Emmett and Bryce’s relationship.

Emmett and Bryce seem like a miss matched pair at first, but they are unwavering in their affection and dedication to each other. It would have been nice to see more of what they enjoy about each other, besides the chemistry they have. There are severally comically large misunderstandings that keep the reader engaged to see how or if everything will get sorted out. Angel does a wonderful job of building interesting, believable characters that draw you into their world. I'll definitely be back for more!

Parts I really liked & others dragged. Loved Em & Bryce. Repeative use of gestures were annoying.

OMG Tristian was just too much.. He was obnoxious with his sex talk. Needed to balance him out more. Parts of him that acted as a friend were nice.

3.5 sweet and sexy stars.

Opposites attract, ugly duckling, fated mates...so many tropes to love in this book. This was a successful story with very little angst, a whole lot of intimacy of all kinds, and watching two men find their place in life and with each other.

I was charmed immediately by the bumbling Emmett in book one. I've always been a sucker for the Ugly Duckling trope and while Emmett is the only one who describes himself as plain, his awkwardness and incredible intelligence definitely set him apart from the other members of the OCC. When Bryce shows up to claim him, he begins to see that there's someone who could want him for all that he really is and I loved that for him.

Bryce was a little harder to love right away. His youth was apparent in many ways and it nearly kept him from keeping Emmett. Once he finally expressed how he felt and his conviction that Emmett was his one and only, it got a lot better. He had his one big "denial" moment, but in his young mind it was to protect what he was building with Emmett and I could see how a very naive 19 year old would think that. It was also something he needed to go through to grow apart from the dreams of his father and to find his own path. For being the typical jock, he was also the most tender, expressive, earnest young man and by the end of the story I was fully in love with his character.

The two men together spent a lot of time getting to know the more carnal side of their pairing, as expected from this series and sub-genre, and I would have liked to see a little more balance between getting to know one another and seeing them find shared interests outside the bedroom. One thing that stood out and really sold me on the story was watching the evolution of Bryce's relationship with his father. His father wasn't the enemy and seeing them have their moment of reckoning and resolution really brought this story forward and added depth to the conclusion. Overall this was an absolutely pleasant read that fits with the series and drew me in right away. I'm incredibly intrigued about Tristan's alpha and will likely be back for more.

I stared after him for a moment, feeling a little dazed. Were butts supposed to look like art?

Some of the lines were absolutely hilarious. Even more so than the previous books, and while Tristan made me chuckle before, he had me laughing out loud this time around. I CAN'T WAIT FOR HIS BOOK!!

I would definitely recommend this book, especially to anybody who has been reading the series. This could be read as a standalone, but you might miss a few details from the other books that are necessary to the overarching series plot.

*possible spoilers*

What I liked:
-This series plays on a trope and you have to understand that to truly enjoy these books. When I stumbled across this series, it sounded light and fun (it is) and I've enjoyed each book. As with many ABO books, I was expecting the whole insta-fated mates, unprotected sex, baby! But each book's relationship has a different progression and outcomes.
-This is a strong addition to the series and just as fun as the other books.
-Tristan has been the star of this series, and he did not disappoint in this book. I love all the side characters, and there's a new one introduced whose quips made me smile, but Tristan is (obviously) my favorite. I seriously can't wait to read his story.
-Emmett and Bryce are cute! I read a few reviews that mention this book being less hot/sexual than the other two books, but I disagree. This book is hot and it has a good mix of plot and sex. And how they bond? I'm still laughing!
-There is some miscommunication (which is my least favorite thing period), but it's minor to the story and doesn't drag on.
-The epilogue is cute and a great wrap up to the story!

What I didn't like:
-There are a lot of internal musings and running commentary that sometimes seem to go on and on. This is a personal pet peeve of mine. I skimmed through the more repetitive / predictable parts and didn't miss anything important to the story. It wasn't all frustrating or unnecessary; Emmett internally freaking out or overthinking is definitely part of his character. But I'm the kind of reader who appreciates more dialogue versus long narrative paragraphs.
-Because there is so much internal narration, the characters internalize everything and never really discuss or talk through things. When they do, it's brief, and there's still an expectation of understanding each other without verbally addressing things. This could be attributed to the whole fated mates idea, so maybe they do just get each other, but they're certainly not mind readers.
-I wish there was a touch more time between the main characters where they're just doing everyday normal things and not dealing with external problems.

I rated the other books with 3 stars, but I'm giving this one 4 stars. I feel like the overall story has a better flow and plot development than the the first and second book and, again, I loved the epilogue. This book was exactly what I was hoping for / expecting, plus a little more.

Brainiac 🔬+ Jock 🏈 = Adorkable 👓 Awesomeness!💕

Title: Make Me Trust You: OCC #3
Author: Angel Knots
Release Date: 8/22/2019
Genre/ Trope(s): MM Romance; non-shifter Omegaverse; Mpreg
Page Count: 306p.
SteaMMy Swordplay: 3 out of 5⚔
Sharonica-Stars: 4 out of 5✨
GoodReads AVG: 4.25🌟

With dual POV we get to enjoy Emmett and Bryce as they awkwardly build their relationship from classmates at a prestigious college to roommates to something forever more.

Emmett has been my favorite OCC club member and I knew I would love his story. He is absolutely the most adorkable brainiac 🔬 ever. He blushes at the slightest hint of anything sMMexy but longs for his own fated Alpha, even though his chances of being struck by lightning are greater than that happening. Or so science has shown. Em is so sweet, compassionate, and loyal that I knew from book one he would be my favorite character and he did not disappoint me.

The Alpha in this story is one Emmett tutored and one of the star players on the school's football team. Bryce was raised by his single Alpha father, and has had one dream and goal his entire life... 🏈Football and going Pro!

Bryce knows he will never have the same classes Em does because he is only a sophomore while Emmett is going into his final year at Preston. So, if Bryce wants to claim the sweet Omega as his he has to come up with a way they can see each other outside of the classroom.

Just like with football Bryce knows to see the end goal all he has to do is set up the perfect play and follow it through to the endzone. First though, he may have to tackle his father. Literally! 😂

This was so cute with Emmett's quirks, Bryce's youthful alpha-ness, and of course all secondary characters to help spice things up.

Even though there are quite a few pages, the story is high energy and fast paced, low angst and mainly just sweet quirky fun.

The next story is Tristan's and I CANNOT wait! 💕

This series has been a lot of fun to read so far and Angel Knots continues her great writing with Make Me Trust You, the story that follows Emmett and Bryce.
Emmett is just the most adorable, innocent and intelligent young man and Bryce is perfect for him. It's clear they have a connection and Bryce works his way to living in the shared house that Emmett shares with Tristan. Having met the previous school year when Emmett tutored Bryce, the alpha has been biding his time until he could get closer and get to know his omega even more. In his own way, Bryce is completely innocent when it comes to a relationship but that makes it a even more appealing as the two young men learn together and to believe in what they feel for each other. Things feel as though the progress naturally with both showing maturity in certain parts, regardless of how young they actually are. I love how carefree Bryce is with his affection and it's clear that Emmett is in desperate need of someone to show him that.
Tristan is his cute, upbeat self through the story but we now and again get glimpses of yearning and sadness so I am eager to get his story. We also have Helen, an English transfer student who is also alpha which leads to a funny couple of moments with Bryce needing to show his relationship with Emmett and Emmett's complete obliviousness to the situation.
Angel drew me in straight from the first page and I enjoyed the story throughout the whole book. I'm eagerly awaiting book #4! Definitely another recommended read from me for this series.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Make Me Trust You is a hard earned, jock/nerd romance by Angel Knots.

Emmett's smart but can't wrap his head around the fact that the school quarterback, Bryce, wants him. It's definitely a tough thing for Emmett to trust him. Full of self-doubt, he just doesn't understand why Bryce wants him or will stay with him.

Bryce is the popular college jock, who's father is overinvolved in his career. Bryce is crushing on Emmett and has to make a move. There's never a doubt for Bryce that Emmett is his omega. The depth of his love and devotion to Emmett is unparalleled.

Their story is cute, sweet and fun. It's full of awkward moments, embarrassing moments, and hot moments. It involves some danger and important life decisions. Bryce's father made me angry, but the ending is wonderful. And if you like humor, you will love Tristan, who is absolutely hysterical.

This story is definitely full of emotion. And in a not so common element, Emmett and Bryce take extra precaution to not get pregnant. But, damn, their bonding is just beautiful. Some might not think so, but I absolutely loved it.

Two quotes that stand out to be are:
"I always want to be where you are."
"We're better together, right?"

Make Me Trust You is an intense love story. Do not miss it if you enjoy a good jock/nerd relationship. Angel Knots' Omega Celibacy Club is a wonderful college series. It's just an enjoyable, feel-good series.

I've read 3 out of 4 in this series and gotta be honest it's been an exhausting experience. Sure, they got me intrigued with the premise (I'm just sucker for gay romance written by cis women that more or less replicates heteronormative norms, what about it??), but all of them seemed to run out of steam half way in. I felt a classic case of phoning it in to fill the word count: meandering sentences, unnecessary inner dialogues that neither propelled the plot forward (all of the juice is reserved for the little climax/ final conflict), nor enriched character portrayals (little more than cardboard cutouts of fictions' household names: the nerd, the jock, the eager virgins, et cetera). By the 60% mark I always had to fight through the pages to get that dopamine hit from the HEAs at the end: my mama didn't raise no pussy.

The kicker from all this? I got to the end to see there it was, sitting on a list of the author's other pseudonyms was a name I knew so well: Stella Starling. Of fucking course. Between the 'big Marines and their twink boys series'(with Ready For Love being the prime example) and *gestures vaguely* this, it's sad to say the pen game has gotten worse, co-writer or not.

Actually i have a headache too right now. i gave this a read and boy do i regret it immensely. It's an omegaverse book with only 1 smex scene, that too incomplete and happens 200 pages in??

As a slow reader, i had to trudge through soooo much of constantly repetitive inner monologues just for no pay off?? i skimmed so much of the book. And practically skimmed the last 50 pages registering vaguely what happened. That was so frustrating it felt like i was self torturing myself! :'(((

Tropes: 📙jock x nerd, 📙shy x confident, 📙size difference (but it doesn’t effect the scene), 📙responsive omega in smut, 📙use of sex toys, 📙fated mates.

It was a nice change of pace where the tutoring has already happened before the book starts and this was the aftermath and how these 2 characters came together. Something something, fated mates.

The main characters are cute, i’ll give you that. So were the roommates and the professor. And i loved how Em’s little quirk of his glasses falling down constantly- was maintained throughout the book.

It's the problem i'm finding with books based on contemporary setting... Been reading quite enough to know, this genre doesn't have an extensive spice department. Or maybe i’m just not finding the right books to read.

But omegaverse set in this has no smex? That's so bad.

i will not read this series any further.

This is my favorite book so far in the Omega Celibacy Club series, it had me laughing all the way through to the great ending and I could not put it down. Make Me Trust You is well written, hilarious, sexy, has little angst, the storyline is intriguing, I love the fated mates aspect and the characters are simply amazing. Emmett is usually lost in his own world but seeing Bryce again and having him as a roommate has him wanting more in his life than he thought was possible. Bryce knows that Emmett is his omega and he is determined to be the best alpha possible for him even though he has little time outside of football and keeping his grades up. He also has to deal with his dad's pushiness and incredibly high expectations for his future. In spite of the obstacles in their way and how young (but very mature) they are Emmett and Bryce know they are perfect for each other and they are so cute together as they navigate their way through everything. I love the secondary characters and I can't wait to read Tristan's story as this wonderful series continues.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

This beautiful, heartwarming Mpreg romance was an absolute pleasure to read. There are some character crossovers but it can be read as a standalone. The story-line and plot is well-thought out and written with some unexpected events & occurrences, it keeps the reader’s attention. The interesting characters are well-developed & quite realistic with their emotions & expectation although one of the characters is actually quite clueless about flirting & emotional attractions. There is good support from the secondary characters.
There is: a lovable but sometimes awkward alpha jock (Bryre) has a plan to claim a super-smart omega geek (Emmett) just happens to belong a celibacy club, a female alpha (Helen), a caring but somewhat controlling father (Jeff Connors), friendship, some twists, drama, humor, manipulations, determination, attractions, distractions, well-meaning devious plans, embarrassment, friendly advice, heat issues, fated mates, a life-threatening allergy, emotional feelings, bonded, love, contentment, some steam & a beautiful happy conclusion. I look forward to future books from this author with great anticipation & would recommend this book.

Book three in the Omega Celibacy Club series gives us Emmett. Sweet, smart, adorable, bumbling Emmett. If you're familiar to the series, you already know that there isn't much in the way of actual celibacy going on within the OCC, but they do give it the old college try. Emmett has been a favorite character since he was introduced, so I was excited to get my hands on his story. I loved getting a peek inside his head, especially when Bryce was in close proximity. This one was a bit different than the first two since Bryce is as inexperienced as Emmett when it comes to relationships. Even so, he is a sweetheart and absolutely perfect for our adorable little omega, and their situation makes for some great scenes between them. Our angst comes from a bit of miscommunication, but it's short-lived, and most of the story is great fun and positively hilarious. I've loved each book in this series, and this third book is just one more reason why. It's sweet, sexy, and loads and loads of fun. Tristan should be our next fated mate, and with his constant quips and snark, I can't wait to see who Angel Knots has planned for him.

Emmett and Bryce had a year of knowing each other and denying their feelings but Bryce decides to move in and start the process to claim his mate. Their coupling was different with both being new to relationship, sex and they both not wanting a child at this moment. So the built sexual tension had be managed other ways that created some hot sexy scenes. There were obstacles between them but they pushed ahead and achieved their fated mates status. We met 2 new characters that I think have potential for a story in the future.

*Spoiler*

The characters are Bryce's father Jeff and the fanatic omega Robbie. There was already a short of an Alpha/Alpha pairing, and an omega/omega pairing is possibly planned so maybe another story should be an age gap menage with Jeff, Robbie and Jamie to put a new twist on the fates mates. I know that supposedly Jeff has an omega, Heidi, in epilgue but I read that it was getting intense rather than it started intense like normal fated mates so I still see hope. I bet If all 3 were in a room together it would cause their obsessions with each other. lol

Make me Trust You by  Angel Knots is the third book in the Omega Celibacy Club series and seriously had me laughing out loud and loving it! It is a contemporary mpreg that puts two opposites together and creates heat, hilarity and just awesomeness.

Emmett is the shy, smart omega who tutored the hot jock. No one would expect the popular Bryce to get distracted by the genius, especially Emmett. But Bryce has a plan to win him over... they ARE fated, afterall.

The characters are so much fun and adorably sweet. But when they get together there is still definitely steam. Emmett and Bryce are my favorite couple so far from this series... their interactions just won me over.

The book has some angst, a lot of humor, sweetness and even some sexiness. It is a fun read and really had me engaged in the story. I cant wait to see what the next book brings.

I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and the.
