Obsahuje jak historii tohoto alternativního pedagogického směru, který je u nás stále oblíbenější, tak jeho hlavní principy, etapy vývoje dítěte, vhodné pomůcky i popisy role toho, kdo dítě na jeho cestě vzděláváním provází doma i ve škole. V knize naleznete rovněž návrhy na aktivity: praktické, sensorické, jazykové a matematické.

'Metoda Montessori. Naucz mnie robić to samodzielnie.' to podstawowe zasady tej edukacji podane w bardzo przystępny sposób, urozmaicone licznymi zdjęciami między innymi przestrzeni i zajęć w placówkach Montessori. Jej głównym założeniem jest wspieranie istoty ludzkiej w rozwijaniu jej talentów, adaptowaniu się do szybko zmieniającego się świata i rozwijaniu pozytywnych relacji z innymi. Nauczyciel jest przewodnikiem, a dziecko podmiotem sprawczym. Celem nauki jest jej polubienie, umiejętność szukania i znajdywania oraz rozwijanie ludzkiego potencjału w atmosferze życzliwości, miłości i wolności.
W książce znajdziemy krótką biografię samej twórczyni - Marii Montessori, opis rozwoju dziecka, okresów wrażliwości, materiałów edukacyjnych i wiele innych kwestii.
Stosowanie tej pedagogiki w domu to przede wszystkim zmiana spojrzenia na dziecko. Należy mu zaufać, szanować je, uwzględnić jego etapy rozwoju i zapewnić sprzyjające otoczenie.
Teoria przeplatana jest praktyką, historiami z życia nauczycieli, rodziców i samych byłych wychowanków placówek w duchu Montessori. Na końcu rozdziałów znajduje się krótkie podsumowanie tego, co warto zapamiętać. Ostatnią częścią książki są fiszki aktywności, czyli 20 propozycji aktywności związanych z codziennym życiem.

I heard about Montessori’s method of education long before I became I mother. So, now that I am a soon-to-be mother of two, I was very excited to read this book.

Even though I had already read a few articles about her method, I knew very little about Maria Montessori herself. I was surprised when I learned she was the first woman to obtain a medical degree in Italy! And she kept studying and doing research, especially when she started working with mentally disabled children.

As for the book “Apprends-moi à faire seul” by Charlotte Poussin, I felt like I was reading two different books at the same time. The parts where the author describes Montessori’s life, achievements and methods were a little repetitive, but very interesting and gave an insight into the way she conceived this new type of relationship between adults and children.

However, the parts where Poussin presents Montessori’s schools and material seemed more like an advertisement. Everything is too perfect, children are too well-behaved all the time. The educators are so well prepared that they never struggle. Her depiction seemed more like and idealized version of a traditional French classroom than a Montessori’s actual environment.

This book left me with the impression that Montessori schools nowadays are the result of (more or less faithful) interpretations of Montessori’s original vision of children's education.

J’ai choisi ce livre pour avoir une idée sur la méthode d’éducation Montessori, une méthode dont on entend parler de plus en plus.
Les principes de cettte méthode sont très bien expliqués avec des photos d’illustration et des résumés encadrés.
La lecture est fluide, les principes sont simplifiés et les concepts sont repris plusieurs fois tout au long de l’ouvrage pour s’imprégner de cette philosophie.
Un livre en guise de référence pour comprendre la pédagogie Montessori.

J’ai adoré ce livre, contrairement au livre « Montessori de la naissance a 3 ans ». C’est un livre qui m’apaise en le lisant et qui expire de la bienveillance par tous ses pores. C’est surtout un livre que je vais garder et lire quand je sens que je suis à bout.
Cela me donne envie de le relire…
