Stranger, Seductress or His Salvation?

One hundred years ago, Adam Turov, master of Nightingale Vineyards, bartered his soul for freedom from the Order of Samuel and their Rogue daemon allies. But he didn't know true damnation until Victoria D'Arcy crossed the billionaire vintner's threshold… Sworn to protect her, Adam must resist with every fiber of his being a voice that sounds like an angel singing and her potent charm.

An unwilling pawn of the Order, Victoria must betray Adam to save her young son. Yet the more time she spends at his estate on her clandestine mission, the harder it becomes to deny the Brimstone heat scorching a path of desire between them…

Coming in July 2023, writing as Willa Reece, WILDWOOD MAGIC from Orbit/Redhook. Were the Ross women really witches? A magical tale about coming home when the only home you’ve ever known is gone. Also be sure to check out the first book set in a mystical mountain wood, WILDWOOD WHISPERS.
For Harlequin Nocturne, I've written as Barbara J. Hancock, a Faustian series featuring men who've sold their souls and the women who save them--Brimstone Seduction, Brimstone Bride, and Brimstone Prince. And a fairytale shifter series featuring three Russian wolf shifters-- Legendary Shifter, Legendary Wolf and Legendary Beast. Also a YA Gothic Thriller for Entangled Publishing. When I'm not writing, I'm the adopted mom to many rescued pets. I live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains in Virginia with my soulmate where ghost stories are often told on a dark side porch in the flicker of firefly light.

The novel was circular, repetitive, and the characters lacked any real depth. By the time they started to develop into actual people, I'd lost interest in the novel. So while it had an interesting concept, it needed some serious editing to polish the prose. Give it a pass. Life is too short for mediocre books.

*I won this book on giveaways*

This was a pretty good book! I admit to being a bit lost for the first 1/3 or so as I have not read the first in the series. However, once I picked up on things it got moving! An exciting plot that kept me guessing but some annoying moments where you wanted the characters to just figure it out already. An enjoyable read.

I won this book in a giveaway. Came in a timely manner, included was a little bookmark , and the book was also signed by the author. It took me a little bit to get into but overall it was a good read. The story was nice and I'm now looking forward to more so I'm hoping this is a series.

It has taken me a while to completely finish this book. I kept finding other books to read and finish. I made myself sit down with this one and finish it.
The story was good but I kept getting sidetracked with the Brimstone call and affinity thing. Also the double entendre references to her song. That really was a distraction for me.
