Tandy has a big problem. She stands to inherit a huge estate and the title of her late aunt but in order to prove herself worthy of the exulted position and the money that comes with it, Tandy must train her first slave. And the slave she is given to train is huge—a muscular Hybrid Kindred with rage dancing in his mismatched eyes and fangs long enough to tear her throat out. How can she possibly subdue such a massive male without losing her life? Then Tandy has an idea—in the dead of night she steals down to her new slave’s cell to offer him a deal.
Quid-pro-quo...
Vrox is enraged to be stuck in this situation. Captured by accident, he is determined to kill whoever tries to enslave him and escape at the first opportunity. But then the curvy little female who bought him offers him a deal—if he will pretend that she has mastered him, she will give him his freedom along with a generous settlement. Vrox is intrigued by the deal but he puts his own spin on the bargain. Whatever Tandy does to him by day to prove that she is a true Mistress, he is allowed to do to her by night, in the privacy of her quarters—including any kind of sexual punishment or mastery.
Feeling she has no choice, Tandy agrees to the huge Hybrid’s terms—never expecting to lose her heart. She thinks Vrox cares for her too, but when the huge Kindred escapes and she is left to face the consequences of their deception alone, she fears that her life is over. Will she survive after…Handling the Hybrid?
Evangeline Anderson is a registered MRI tech who would rather be writing. And yes, she is nerdy enough to have a bumper sticker that says “I’d rather be writing.” Honk if you see her! She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for it. To her delight, she found that it was actually possible to get money for having a dirty mind and she has been writing paranormal and Sci-fi erotica steadily ever since.
Tandy the wannabe mistress of Yonnie Six and Vrox the Hybrid (blood and the beast Kindred).
We are back to the Yonnie 6, the planet where the females are the strong gender and the males are treated like animals who need taming in order to serve their mistresses. The author goes often back to this hateful planet and it is not a bad thing because it produces very interesting stories. Tandy is young, she does not believe in punishment and violence and she has grown up in a family where she learned that males and females should be treated equally. Still her mother is from Yonnie 6, so she needs to prove that she can tame a stupid scary dangerous male. Vrox is not stupid but he is scary and dangerous. Tandy is lucky because he is also a Kindred and these men worship females.
I was hooked after I read the blurb for this. I have read some books in this series, but not many. That didn't hinder my enjoyment of this book one bit. It was a perfect standalone, although I must warn you that you might not want to leave this world once you fall in. It was hot, seductive, and with characters you'll love and ones you'll most definitely hate. I definitely recommend to sci-fi romance fans. I hope Vrox's friend gets his story told.
I'm leery about how well this book could have been edited if there is a typo in the blurb, exulted instead of exalted. The older I get the less patience I have for publishers who don't care about the quality of their printed words.
In this World women hold all the power! Interesting turnabout and I enjoyed the shoe being on the other foot. Tandy and Vrox's story had elements of Little Red Riding Hood with a small dose of BDSM thrown in. This is a steamy read and Tandy's naivete works well for this story. Read It!
Another amazing addition to the Brides of The Kindred series. Plenty of intrigue and of course steamy romance to keep you hook from beginning to end. There wasn't much in the drama department but that didn't take away from the story. I will advise that the story does have some dark elements so if you can handle that I would recommend that you one click this book you won't regret it. I received a free copy via Booksprout I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
A fun read. A very sexy and kinky read. Romantic and imaginative. As usual, there is a formula the author writes (too much in my opinion). If you've read and enjoyed previous Kindred Tales and Bride books, then you'll like this one. If you don't like repetitive situations, you might want to avoid it.
Handling the Hybrid : A Kindred Tales Novel (Brides of the Kindred)
In this latest Kindred Tales Novel the talented, creative Evangeline Anderson returns to the matriarchal world of Yonnie Six. Although this planet is filled with frustrating, sadistic, strange Mistresses who believe males are so much lower than women they keep them as slaves. Many train them through pain and punishment but there are a few who are humane and kind.
Tandy was brought up on the opposite side of the planet where her mother fled when she fell in love with her father. She lived in a world with the men being equal to the women. Five years ago she goes to live with her kind Aunt who treats everyone with respect and warmth. When her aunt passes she is in line to inherit her fortune and property but has to prove she can be a “proper” mistress by the leading council. Her sadistic self serving other Aunt Deelee wants the inheritance for herself and sets Tandy up to fail by having her purchased a hybrid Kindred male who appears quite violent and dangerous at the slave market.
Tandy makes a bargain with the Kindred who cleverly turns the tables and insists that after pretending to be tamed during the nights he gets to do to her whatever she subjected him to. The hot melt your panties Hybrid Kindred has Tandy agreeing to his bargain and is determined to keep her word. Vrox is intrigued with the young mistress especially when he learns her history. As a hybrid he has had his own issues (besides accidentally being captured and sold as a slave), he doesn’t believe he belongs to either the blood or the beast Kindred and believes he is unable to bond with a female. Vrox proves to be so much more than the dangerous male we are initially introduced to. Of course this set up is ripe for many sensual ,creative hot and even kinky scenes (it is Yonnie Six after all). There is also suspense, danger, excitement and definitely some pulling of the heart strings before the HEA. Definitely 5🔥 of sexy that this author is so amazing at writing - keep ice water nearby and be prepared to not want to put this book down.
In case you couldn’t tell from the teaser, Evangeline Anderson takes us back to Yonnie Six, the planet made up of Mistresses who treat men as stupid animals who need direction through punishment to serve as slaves. Our heroine, aspiring Mistress Tandy, has been left a vast fortune by the aunt who adopted her after her mother and father had been forced to live on the other side of the planet. When the aunt passed, leaving her huge dwelling and all her possessions to Tandy, her other aunt, who wanted it all for herself, attempted to force the leadership to stop the inheritance and give it all to her. This sinister aunt sets Tandy up for a fail by forcing her to “tame” a slave. If she fails, she loses everything, especially the means to help her family. But the man chosen is a hybrid kindred, Vrox, captured against his will. Just as the other hybrids we’ve met in the Tales of the Kindred, everything about him screams danger. But Tandy has a plan to strike a bargain with Vrox, and so they begin, with the greedy aunt working against them all she can. And we also begin entering the world of Ms. Anderson. Steamy, clashing, tormenting. And just when you think it may be over, all hell breaks loose. Although this adventure isn’t a short one, I just had to race through it. Moments of joy, moments of sadness, this one is something I’ll read again. No, this isn’t our first visit to Yonnie Six, and we get to see characters from there we’ve met before, bringing many threads of their lives together like a great rope surrounding this realm. Definitely a keeper, especially if you’re a fan of the Kindred World. If you’ve never read any of the Kindred novels, you may want to try Claimed and Hunted first so you’ll understand the two parts of Vrox. Claimed is usually a free read, and Hunted is very inexpensive. Evangeline Anderson’s Kindred World is unsurpassed, and Handling the Hybrid just fits in.

A tantalising read, erotic and engaging……. Once again, we return to Yonnie Six and the planet where Mistresses and their male slaves who are simply there to service them, most have been tamed by cruelty of cuffs and a collar that emit an electrical charge violently through their body. Tandy had been forced to take on a slave that is to be trained so that she can keep her recently deceased Aunts inheritance which she did not need for herself but simply to save her baby brother from the terrible injury he had suffered after falling from the hover bike. Vrox the hybrid kindred has agreed to help her seemingly prove that he has been trained by the mistress and that he would do whatever she asked willingly and after she had been accepted as a mistress she would the give the money to her mother and brother for his care, she would then allow him to go free so that he could also help him rescue his Kindred partner. However, as they continue in their deception it is not possible for them to avoid falling in love she cares so much for him and he and he also has begun to fall in love with her, it appeared that they were still under the threat of her Aunt Deelee who is determined to stop her from gaining her inheritance. However, fate sometimes has a strange way of bringing about what should be and the Kindred believe that both males and females are equal and their connection is so more than either of them realise. I voluntarily received and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Eh. This was not particularly one of my favorites. I thought it was a little weird with how much Anderson throughout the series has been making Yonnite Six out as more of negative view in my mind of how woman use men and then with this one it is switched so much. I understand people can have a different point of view, even when growing up in a society that only thinks one way, however, it seemed that Tandy's acceptance of everything went too far, she did not push back very much.
Tandy is set to be the leader of the all female-led planet. She was raised the past 5 cycles by her aunt, who is gone and left Tandy to be next in line to rule. Even if she has a shady past. To become the next ruler, she needs to tame a male. A beastly man is picked for her, by her other aunt. A man that Tandy knows she can not break or even hope to tame. But she needs her inheritance to help her family. So she'll do anything the beast asks, as long as he helps her in return. Will he give up his control to help her succeed? Or will he fight her to the bitter end?
Vrox is a Kindred hybrid. He's unable to bond with a female because he's 2 species. His last female left him and now this new tiny spec of a woman is going to try and tame him. Good luck, buttercup. When he hears her plea for his help, he gives her a tit for tat. What she does to him during the day, he gets to do to her at night. He's surprised when she agrees, but even more, surprised when she actually lets him punish her. What he doesn't bargain for is to fall for this tiny female. Yet can he hope that he can bound her to him? Would she let him?
Ok, I love the Kindred series. This book just didn't do it for me. I just didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed other Kindred books. The names, the places, the back story it just felt overdone. I didn't even like Tandy or Vrox. There were editing errors in this book too. Missing quotes, I had to reread several times to make sure I knew who was speaking. I don't know, it just wasn't as good as I remember Kindred being.
In beginning of reading this book 📚, I couldn't decide weather I liked this book 📚 or I didn't like this book. I two different minds about the book and couldn't make my mind up, because I was this time around liking the case in the court more and the good and bad bits of case, I wanted to learn more about the secret service of shondrom six. I liked the mistress names again very much. I felt like I would like to with Evangeline making up a mistress name and having the mistress be like me. I liked the way that Trandy could be brave has well as not so helpfulness and felt sorry for Tandy and Novix and felt like I whated to be in the court room with them. I felt sad for Tandy's aunties and in the end I felt more better in end of the book 📚 but I couldn't decide which way to go to Tandy's aunties way or to go the way of Tandy and Novix way, I was pulled different ways. Sometimes I would be reading and with the way the world trunning with covid coming the way in court room maybe I am now not feeling so lost in covid rule's now and I can sort of resured be it all. At the end of the book 📚 I wanted more court's ruling in Evangeline books more the love the of two people in the book 📚 I wanted Evangeline to try changing around the rules of the book more than once in a while and I felt like I would like to be sitting with Evangeline and writing a book 📚 with her, I love to learn how to write and read a book or two with Evangeline.

Handling the Hybrid by author Evangeline Anderson is a Kindred Tales Novel. I find these stores are best read in order you really need to know about the world Tandy and Vrox live in to get this story in particular. Tandy is a Mistress. Well, she wants to be one to get her inheritance. The only problem is she has never had a slave of her own to train. She has to prove herself before she can inherit anything from her dead aunt. Vrox is a hybrid kindred. He is big, strong, and deadly. Also fiercely loyal and sensual. I loved this kindred hybrid. He is powerful yet gentle as well. Very intelligent. Together these two make a deal. I think Tandy needs Vrox. She needs someone to trust in a world where she has really no one who doesn’t want something from her. Vrox needs to know he is a full kindred no matter what he is mixed with. He can be more than what he was born into. Really great read, lots of hot chemistry, and angst to keep me turning the pages. I hope to read many more in the kindred series in the future, always for me memorable stories with a love of a lifetime in them.
I detest Yonnie 6 and almost didnt buy the book for that one reason. But, since I own every other Kindred bride book, I ordered and read it. The scenes as always were smoking hot. This author definitely can write them sizzling. In the end the two get their bond and the HEA. I wouldnt mind hearing more about their adventures now that they are off planet. The best part was the Sacred 7 getting a little bite taken out of them and her aunt Deelee earning her banishment to hard labor. Because, the only thing I want to read about Yonnie society anymore is its collapse. Will I continue to buy and read Kindred books? Yes. I'm too invested in them monetarily and storyline wise not to. I love the bonds these couples have. I love the families they have come together to create. I'm awaiting the next book like a fiend because the author pulls you into her worlds and situations like moth to flame. So, thank you Evangeline Anderson for once again keeping me up all night to finish.
I had thought I had read this book before, I had thought I had read this book before, but I guess I hadn't. I love Evangeline's Yonnie Six books, so I tried the sample at night in my hotel room in Greece and then one-clicked the book on Amazon.
Tandace (interesting name) has to prove herself as a Yonnie Six mistress by taming a bodyslave in order to inherit her late aunt's estate. She needs the money to send to her family for a life-saving operation for her brother. A Kindred smuggler, Vrox, was captured and sold into slavery. Tandace is forced to buy Vrox as a slave, but she realizes there's no way she's going to be able to tame him. Thus, she proposes a deal with him, that if he pretends to be tamed by her, she'll let him go once and deposit 100,000 credits into his bank account once she's made a mistress.
I enjoyed the story, but the two only falling in love within 3 days and Tandace being expected to train a wild slave in that timeframe seemed unrealistic to me. I wished that part of the story was longer.
Though I love all the Kindred, Hybrid are one of my favorite. Vrox was a Beast and Blood Kindred. I truly felt sorry for him and felt his pain. He thought he could never bond a female and that had to be a very lonely world. I bet he wanted to kick himself for the situation he found himself in. To be a slave on Yonnie Six.
I just loved Tandy. She truly had this amazing spirit. Her heart was so tender and I know she must of felt the pain of the loss of her Aunt. I sure she truly felt alone. I hated her remaining aunt. I am sure as you read the story you will see why.
I don’t want to tell much because I don’t want to give too much away. But let’s just say there are some steamy parts, some points where one feels betrayed, times where you get to see the true protection of the kindred, and the love the Goddess has for her children.
This is a great story and so happy I got a chance to read the book.
See, I knew there had to be a nice mistress on Yonnie Six. I really liked Tandy, she was raised with parents who were equals and a brother that she loved. But when she got older her mother sent her to Yonnie Six to live with her aunt. Her aunt was a nice older woman and treated her male slaves kindly. At her death, Tandy will inherit everything if she can prove she can master a slave. Her other aunt is there trying to sabotage her the other time and it doesn't help that Tandy doesn't really have it in her to be like the other mistresses and cause pain to others just because they're men. But Tandy needs the inheritance so she makes a deal with her new slave. Vrox will pretend to be under her thumb and she'll pay him. Vrox is intrigued by his little mistress and puts an extra spin on the deal. Vrox was extra sexy and I loved him. Tandy was curious and willing to explore, which made her very likable. Overall, I really loved this book and am glad I found a nice mistress from Yonnie Six
Loved it! I do believe growly hybrids are some of my favorite Kindred
What is a kidnapped enslaved hybrid kindred to do When He finds himself at the flesh bazaar being bought by a Yonnie mistress. Hmm well scare her half to death that's what😲 hmmm or so he thinks. 😘😘 what does a mistress in training who was raised to believe that men and women were equal do When she's forced to buy a slave to train in order to gain her inheritance? Yes you guessed it he buys a very big angry kindred warrior and all hell breaks loose. These two very different souls have to find a way to help each other to gain what they need. They will need to develop a deep trust. And while trying to do this they find more than they ever bargained for. This is a very sexy ride that shows the power of trust passion and love !💖💖it's so good I highly recommend you read and find out just how these two wonderful characters find love!🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💞
I enjoyed the book for the most part. I get that the women ruled the planet. It just seemed to me that they were, for the most part.. mean and hateful. And let's not forget greedy and spiteful. Yes, there were good women as well. But I didn't care for the lack of balance between the males and females. I liked the main characters, Tandy and Vrox. The sex was hot when they finally gave in to their need for each other. Butt... pun intended.. I didn't like that Tandy was forced to give Vrox the "rod". As part of her mastering of Vrox she had to f××k him in the ass. I LOVE the Brides books but this is almost to much. If they both consented to this, that's one thing. But to rape a person as part of a test is beyond my understanding. I will continue to read and hope this doesn't carry on to much farther in the series.
I just finished this book and as always I was not disappointed! I absolutely loved Tandy even though she wasnt my favorite at first lol. Vrox however got me from the very first multicolored stare! Tandy is buying her very first slave in order to become a full fledged mistress on Yonnie 6. She doesn't believe in hurting in order to master a man so she and Vrox make a deal that he'll pretend to let her 'master's him but she had to agree that whatever she did to him he got to do to her! It truly just gets more interesting from that point on! If you love Evangeline Anderson's books or you just enjoy a truly steamy one then you have to read Handling the Hybrid! I promise you won't be disappointed. Enjoy! 😘💜
Evangeline Anderson, another amazing story. Thank you! I love that I know I can pick any book up from the talented Evangeline Anderson and know that I will have a magnificent book to enjoy. Handling the Hybrid is a love story from beginning to end. The chemistry between Tandy and Vrox is hot and leaves you breathless and totally lured in. Although the two begin their story together in unusual circumstances you can see from the start they belong together. I also loved a glimpse into the life of two of our earlier mates in the form of Neisha and Thorn. Do yourself a favour and grab this book today.
Loved it! I especially love all the names the Yonnie Six mistresses are given! They are hilarious! This is the story of Vrox and Tandy! Vrox is bought by Tandy at the insistence of her avaricious aunt Deelee and Sinda, a mistress from the council of seven, to prove herself a true mistress! She balks but ends up making a deal with Vrox to get her inheritance so seh can save her little brother - she is an anomoly in the commnity!! All in all a good read with ebbs and flows that read well and good characters! I love the series and the fact that previous characters are brought back into the tales and this is no exception!
This story brings us back to Yonnie Six. The planet where women rule and men are slaves. The women like to control the slaves with pain and plenty of punishment. But what happens when one of these Mistresses doesn’t want to cause pain but must. Tandy must find her way with breaking her first slave. Vrox is a hybrid Kindred and won’t make things easy for his new mistress. With Kindred you can always expect passion and a need to protect women. The story does have some dark moments but there is always a HEA. So enjoy some gorgeous male Kindred and the romance that will follow.
Tandy, a mistress in training from Yonnie Six is coerced into buying a hybrid Kindred as her slave. Vrox, is enraged to find himself captured and about to be sold as a slave. Together they agree to compromise to achieve what each wants. Jealous, manipulative mistresses are constantly trying to trick Tandy into forfeiting her inheritance. Can the two of them pull off the deception in time? Truly enjoyed this Kindred Tales novel!

This latest entry in the Kindred series features Vrox, a Kindred hybrid and Tandy, a domme in training. This story had some really funny moments - the names of the Mistresses on Yonnie Six for example - as well as the usual intense connection between the main characters. It was also missing some of the usual angst in Ms. Anderson’s stories, something which I did not miss! I like the shorter versions of these stories. Another success!

While I must admit, I’m personally getting pretty tired of reading about the abusive, and mostly torturous, ruling population of Yonnie Six, it’s “mistresses,” I can confirm this book was savagely sexy, and I freaking loved it, anyway, despite where it occurred. Vrox and Tandy are explosive, almost right from the start. I definitely want more of their story. I don’t think anyone that reads this book will disagree, either. Heat like this, with such a perfect person to person balance, is beyond sexy. It’s ideal! Now, can we please get a good long break from Yonnie Six Mistresses?
Just when you thought the Kindred couldn’t get any better, the author writes a fresh new story that sets your mind on fire. There are so many wonderful and exciting things that happen in this story. From the very first page I found myself transported to a world where love managed to overcome all obstacles. So many people and factors came together to bring these two to their HEA, and each one shaped them and their relationship. I hope that their traumatized friend manages to find his way, but regardless, I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Vrok and Tandy are 2 characters that are in a situation where they need each other's help. I really enjoyed the chemistry between both characters. Of course we have some great sexy love scenes. The journey the journey these characters faces is incredibly difficult but worth the fight to stay together. Loved the kindred series can't wait to read the next book
