Book #7 is the a fantastic continuation to the Infected series. Some surprising alliances are formed, lots of great zombie action and Amanda and Lindsey are hysterical, terrifying and the perfect wrenches - adding a fun zest to this book!

I have enjoyed The Infected Series and look forward to the conclusion to see how the author fits everything together. The two hybrids also added a new twist to the zombie culture; adding to the gore. My question remains that all the bodies that were bitten by this duo were supposed to also turn into hybrids, yet the author made no mention since leaving the church.

The ending is one that I didn't expect and thought the running and killing would continue to their new destination. One thing I've found common through the entire series is the number of typos and missing words found in each installment. This is why I gave the story only four stars. However, it is a good read and you will need strong stomachs to get through this one.

I've already downloaded book 8 and look forward to getting back into the story this evening. It's also amazing to look back at the series - over 1400 pages so far - and see that only two days have transpired since the outbreak began. Well worth the time and investment to follow this great writer.

I really enjoy this zombie series!

I’m taking off a star because of the lack of editing in the books. I know, it’s self published, but there are some basic mistakes that should have been caught. For example, the author uses ‘thrash’ twice when he should have used ‘trashed.’ A crocodile thrashes about when it has prey in its mouth. A room is trashed after zombies go through it. ‘To’ instead of ‘too’ is another. Not deal-breakers by any stretch...the story survives even with these issues. But they are persistent.

Additionally, the author seems to have a decent grasp on describing women’s genitalia in slang form ...but a man’s penis is a ‘man piece’??? That was laughable.

The characters are well-formed and likable and the plot twist in this latest book is a fantastic one.

I’ve pre-ordered book 8 because I want to see how Zuko sums up the story.

Intense and lots of action blood and gore

And intense and action-packed blood and gore field zombie apocalypse. Every zombie apocalypse is filled with blood and gore. This story is full of extreme emotions up and down and sideways. Follow along as Jim and the gang fight to survive. You have zombies you have the typical human jackasses. You also have a hybrid zombie that will make your skin crawl and if it ever came to fruition you might as well just bend over and kiss your butt goodbye. No spoilers but it is action-packed from beginning to end and will raise you up and throw you down and kick you sideways. Read on and enjoy.

Fast paced zombie deliciousness

I loved book 7! The characters are all starting to hit the wall so to speak and dealing with the emotional, physical and psychological impact of running for their lives for 2 days. We met this book's antagonists in the previous book and they really develop in this one. I personally love Amanda's character even though she is so, so bad. Zuko does a great job getting you inside the minds of his characters. I can't wait until book 8 and we find out what's next for Jim, Karen and the whole crew (what's left of them!).

Zuko did it again!!!

In The Trenches was disgusting, gory, gruesome and freaky. I absolutely LOVED it!!! Zuko put Hannibal Lecter to shame. Zuko's characters were scarier and a lot more fun. This book, along with all the previous books in this series, was very well-written, with a great plot filled with lots of action and awesome characters. I can't wait for the eighth book, and hopefully not the last. Lol! I have recommended this series to all my zombie lover friends. These books will not let you down.

Can’t Get Enough

This installment is riveting as ever! I’m always torn between reading as fast as possible to quench my desire to see where the story leads & reading as slowly as possible so it lasts. More, more, more please!?!
