Bob Logan: Some Like It Hot

Rate this book
In the West there are places where evil men conduct their wicked business beyond the reach of law. Where no lawman can or wants to go, private detective Bob Logan can and does. As a Pinkerton man, his identity must be adaptable to match the ever-changing circumstances. Given a chance, a man learns from his mistakes—if he lives long enough. Men who think they’re above the law must be brought down. Sometimes a rope is the best way to do it. Sometimes it’s not. When they have to choose between heaven and hell. Some like it hot. Fans of Dan Arnold and Louis L’ Amour will love this Western which may also remind them of Robert B. Parker or Elmore Leonard, with a touch of Larry McMurtry for good measure.

A DA. After the Civil War Western Action Adventure (BL) (SLIH) (SC)

DA. has penned a story line about a very turbulent time in Eastern Texas where a die hard underground unit. They are trying to maintain the Southern style of living. They are a strong family
with many hidden secret members who are trying to remain unknown to the common man. It is a last ditch effort for supporters of the Confederate states. A Pinkerton man is undercover in an attempt to capture or kill the men who are responsible for man deaths. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

OK action, characters and locations. Story well worn, maybe worn out. Found the racial-social moralizing too much on top of current reality. Yes I know the black were oppressed in the 1800's, didn't appreciate the dose camouflaged in a gunfighter novel. Probably won't read any more.
