Well shit...I read this book a while ago and it might have been the most bizzare reading experience I 've ever had. I feel....weird. Like, what the hell happened?

To sum it up:

Too many characters; I kept forgetting who is who.

Chicks with dicks alert. I mean, really? Assassins, ex military, ex CIA guys acting like a bunch of teenage girls? Gossiping and wondering who's into whom?

"Full on penetrative sex means I'm truly gay". Can we not do this anymore?

Bad editing was bad, almost non-existent. And believe me, I'm not one to complain about typos and misspellings.

Bottom line:

I'm sad to say that the whole time I was reading this, I was thinking that gay men were portrayed like they 're some mythical creatures, living in a fictional universe. Sorry, but this is my humble opinion.

1 What a lot of bullshit

This book was about a bunch of bitches with dicks!!!!

I am not exaggerating one bit!!!

When I saw the cover I was like description

Ex Navy, Ex Seal's, Ex Military, Ex army and Ex CIA... on a farm in Colorado - I totally thought wow this can work special undetected Unit in the mountains blending in like cowboys - who wouldn't think this was a nice plot????

Hot and sexy men all around wow

And then I started to listen the audio book and my
description

This was the first issue the narrator sounded like an old hack!!!! it was so frustrating because he made them sound like 92 year olds with a bad smoking habit that went bad!!!

The second problem I had with this book - My list
1. They are suppose to be bad ass alphas but they are bitchy and moaning and gossip worse than woman do
2. How the hell can you read and fall in love with a character when they are suppose to be the cream of the crop and tell each other they are beautiful ---- WTF!!! men are hot or sexy not beautiful
3. We all know a little bit about the training navy, seals, military and CIA gets. Some of those training are withstanding torture and pain ---- You get the point I am trying to make here pain are no stranger to them. So when this one guy - straight for all intent purpose turns gay and his gay partner try to fuck him the pain it to much for him and he must stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!

description

This could have been an amazing book I am so Mad because the characters were pathetic and weak and there is no way in hell those men could be in a special force unit - This is again just my opinion.

Well, this book was just... Odd? Weird? Strange?

When I read the blurb I was really excited about this book. I mean, assassins, cowboys, friends to lovers. Do I need to say more? Unfortunately, the story fell flat.

Fierce, strong, the best of the best ex-military men behaving like a bunch of chicks. Well, I don't think even women gossip as much as these men.

Too many characters / pairings and none of them really developed. Because of that, there were multiple POVs and the story jumped back and forth. I got confused by who was who and I couldn't form a connection with any of the characters. I wasn't emotionally invested at all.

Weird sentences "There wasn't a cleft to his chin but the little dimple gave the illusion that there could have been a cleft, but it just hadn't been molded properly. Uhm, what?
And dialog that didn't make much sense.

Great idea for a story with a lot of potential but poorly executed.

*** There is so much here to like ! ***
Roger is the new team member at Wild Bluff Ranch, Colorado. Grant's former lover, Craig, up and took off, turning his back on the team. These men us the ranch as a front for their elite ops force, and their work is first class.

This fierce group of ex-military men, takes out bad people who wreak havoc on the world. Roger fits in right away, and likes Grant. We see other team members, too. Billy loves Tucker and they finally get serious.
There is a mission, a surprise, and more questions. Lots of hot sexiness, too.

This is book one, so the guys are working together, and we see how great these dedicated warriors, and specialists do their jobs. *** These guys are seasoned veterans, finally allowing themselves a chance to open their hearts, and they are rookies in the love department. Some cases are GFY, and some have had bad relationships. I understood these guys wanting romance and love, after all of the years they have battled. ***

There are some twists, and not all of the answers are revealed, so it's a cliffhanger.
But it could stand alone.

We see action, violence, searching, intrigue and planning.
Highly recommended. It's free on KU.
ENJOY !

For men that are supposed to be the very best of the best ex-military there did not seem to be an Alpha in the house. I seriously expected some super-hot, Alpha, killer cowboys. They did not seem to be ex-military or even cowboys. I struggled a bit with this and just don’t know what I think. My rating keeps wavering. The behavior and descriptions of the men really let me down, they were very sensitive, emotional and timid, not at all what I thought they would be. Then there was the multiple POV’s, the multiple stories and some of the dialogue just didn’t make much sense. Just know, I didn’t hate it, I am interested in where it will go and will read the next one, there was just soooo much going on but then not enough of one thing going on.

Hey guys,

hope you checked out my interview with Sara York.

http://www.prismbookalliance.com/2014...

It was so much fun to talk to her and she revealed some interesting things ;) I have since read book 1 and book 2 (both only .99 cents on amazon right now) of her Colorado Wild series and wanted to share my thoughts with you guys *g*

This review and many other reviews by me and my friends (as well as many giveaways) can be found on prismbookalliance.com

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

The Facts: Colorado Wild was published September 27th, 2013 and Colorado Fire was published December 3rd, 2013 by Sara York

The Cover: The book has a beautiful cover, no doubt. But it seems to suggest a serene cowboy tale instead of the fast action and multiple-POV romance. Some kind of visible sign that all is not as peaceful as it seems would have been great! Something to visually hook those who might be interested for the spy/assassin aspect of the books.

The Title: I really do like the title. It places the story in a regional setting and suggests something "wild" happens there. Which is accurate in my opinion. The titles fit well for a series , as it is easy to realize they belong together and I found them catchy and memorable.

The Story: The story of these books is really fast-moving and exciting. I wasn't sure what to expect from this set-up. Cowboy/ assassin-spy-ex-military - all interesting ingredients, but I wasn't sure how they would fit together. When I finished book 1, I couldn't stop for a review and had to read the next one immediately. For me the books have the same major pros and cons and so I thought reviewing both at once would be a good idea for this series ;) So, how did all these aspects fit together, you may wonder?

Well, the story begins at the Wild Bluff, a farm in Colorado that works as cover for the ex-military team that has been assembled by the CIA, but works independently from the agency for deniability. A new recruit is taken in blindfold to the farm and as he is introduced to everything like the farm, the other characters and the concept behind this special ops group, the readers are as well. There are 9 members of the group on the farm and we get to know them all very well through the multiple-POV storytelling, which also gives very different gay relationships that readers can follow.

I didn't really think it was totally credible that pretty much all of them were gay - but I really couldn't seem to care all that much about it either. Because, holy hotness. Having not one relationship but getting to follow all of them at different stages, but with nice pay-off in every case, was so rewarding. The novels don't seem to take themselves too serious , so I guess I was not bothered by it either. It's more about interesting characters that find love and lust in different ways as they use their special skills to rid the world of evil people.
The characters are all very good guys, but I do think it needs to be said that their job could easily be misused by anyone else. They have the ability to take or refuse any job and decide together about the life of other people. As someone who is against the death penalty, I cannot approve killing anyone. There is too much darkness in humans that prevents them from being able to make decision about who should live and who should die. And yet, I find assassin character fascinating in books.

It is interesting to me how people can do that - kill people- even if they think it is right and still live a normal life. These books show how everyone of the 9 guys strives to do good and use their skills in a meaningful way. The guys are good, the system they have works and they seem to be vigilante good guys, balanced by the work they do on the ranch. I think they are overly idealized, but it does seem to work for the books. It is easy to fall in love with the characters. Getting to know them all through the POVs, we now we can trust them to make good decisions and can put the moral questions on the backburner. They are ex-military and instead of blindly following kill-orders they might not understand, everyone of them has a part in choosing which missions to take There are no secrets between them ;)

They do seem to live in their own idealistic bubble where everyone is accepted for who they are and the skills they bring to the table and where there is a clear good vs evil. So it is actually fun to follow their stories, edge-of-the seat exciting when they are on their missions, sizzling when they find love and passion together and thoroughly engaging throughout. It was easy to read and not just about hot sex and killing, but about love and doing the right thing.

There is an incredible bond of friendship and trust that comes out when the guys have to face against betrayal and other obstacles and some of the storylines flow over into book 2, which is why I had to go on reading, immediately. If like me you will be able to accept the things I have mentioned, you will find a great, engaging action thriller with a lot of heart and romance and many characters you won't want to let go of. Sara York has created a team of renegade ranchers/ assassins, who have isolated themselves and only rely on each other to make a change in a corrupted world. 5 stars for hotness, 5 stars for fast-paced action, 5 stars for love and romance, 5 stars for friendship, 5 stars for the cute, lil' baby horse, 5 stars for crossing hot cowboys with hot ex-military spies.

So I guess it's okay if I turn a blind eye on some suspension of disbelief that is necessary and cal it a 4.5? You guys should definitively give them a try, especially now that they are just .99 cents per book. Really can't go wrong with that!!

*~*~*~*~* OUTTAKE FROM MY INTERVIEW WITH SARA YORK *~*~*~*~*
http://www.prismbookalliance.com/2014...

As I wrote in my introduction for this blog yesterday, MM Romance books were an integral part for my coming out, by showing me a reason to confront my sexuality and thereby bring changes into my comfortable, but lonely life. Showing me the love and intimacy I could have with a man made me realize that all the challenges and obstacles coming out would bring into my life would still be worth it. I might be bi, even if I prefer men, but by closing this part of me off, I was missing part of myself. Hearing about all the gay teen suicides makes my heart break every time and I believe it is incredibly important to show that true love, romance, intimacy and the possibility of a happily ever after exists for gay men. That it can get better! So I’m very grateful for what you are doing for the community by contributing stories and hope for gay readers as well as helping to spread acceptance and understanding among straight readers. But we’ve now talked about Dinosaurs and Bunnies – clearly all that’s missing are spies and cowboys. About five weeks ago, you released Colorado Fire, book two of the Colorado Heart series. How did you get the idea for the premise of CIA agents working a farm as cowboys, when not on a mission? And can you tell us a bit more about this series, for those who haven’t read it yet?

I love cowboys. I grew up in rural Texas, and yes, I did have a horse. We also had a 1500 acre ranch and ran a few hundred head of cattle. Cowboys, real cowboys, are full of masculinity and ready for anything. At the ending of my Texas Soul series I wanted to write another cowboy story, but I didn’t want to write a copy of the Texas series.

One morning while walking the dogs, I started talking to my husband about my idea of the Colorado books. My first interest in writing has always been mystery and thrillers. I combined the two in the Colorado Heart series. It’s a far out premise, but it is fiction and I wanted to do a what if these guys who are patriotic lived together instead of hiding, never trusting anyone.

On Wild Bluff Ranch there is no shortage of talent. Grant Stovall, Duff Whitaker, Marshal Stevenson, and Tucker Hayes were all in the Marines before coming to the ranch. Roger Burk was a SEAL, Mike Willson was in the army and Billy Bradford, James Davenport, and Zander Freeland all have military experience. The entire group has taken paramedic training but Zander, Mike, went beyond that and took another six month course on surgical procedures. Tucker, James, Mike, Billy and Grant are all pilots. And if you need a sharpshooter, there are six of them on the ranch. All in all, it’s either the safest place on the planet or the most dangerous, depending on how you look at it.

The Colorado Heart series won’t be limited to only those men you currently see on the ranch. For those readers who have read the Texas Soul series, you see the foreshadowing of what’s to come. The Texas Soul series might be over in terms of it being a series, but there is going to be more than one crossover character.

An interesting fact about the book, my horse, Abilene, actually was bit by a snake like Beauty was bit. After he healed, he hated hay, never ate it again. He was the best horse ever. Some of the things I experienced on the ranch are peppered through the book, giving a realistic look at what ranch life is like.

For those of you who’ve read Colorado Wild, see if you can answer these questions. For those who haven’t, don’t hesitate to answer, we might judge based on creativity.

Q1: What temperament do you think Beauty will have when he grows up?

Q2: Which one of the guys would you want to stitch you up after a gunshot wound and why?

Q3: On the ranch Duff is in charge. Who do you think would be the next best Duff?

I’m interested to see how our readers respond to these questions ;) Do you often integrate parts of your own experience into your books in some ways and what do you do when you have to write about something that you don’t have personal experience with like missions or gay love scenes?

In some ways, yes, I do integrate personal experiences in my writing, but when I write mysteries or thrillers, I go back to the research. After a very cool conference this summer, I’ve now taken more than 200 hours of police, FBI, and law enforcement courses. I’ve been lucky enough to do training raids with the SWAT team, and been allowed to do traffic stop training with the police. I’ve done firearm training and I’ve been allowed to see inside the inter workings of the police department. I’ve also done over 40 hours of fireman training, climbing the big ladders, carrying hoses, using the jaws of life, and running into a burning building to put out a fire.

As for MM sex, I’ve never done that. That would be impossible, but I’m more than willing to watch porn. It’s a tough research project, but someone has to do it. On a more serious note, a lot of making love, and having sex is universal. A man making love to a woman or another man, or a woman making love to a woman or a man isn’t so dissimilar that the basic mechanics are foreign. Touch, kissing, licking, and holding are the same. Our emotions, hopes, and desires are all basic components of our search for significance and acceptance. The body parts may be different, and trust me, there are plenty of men willing to talk about their dicks, so getting the information isn’t all that difficult. Since I’ve always written men better, it’s not that difficult to put myself in the place of a gay man, relaying his experiences through my characters.

3,5 stars.

Meet the cowboys of Wild Bluff Ranch in the first book of the Colorado Heart Series, Colorado Wild. Hell, yeah…:-)

Colorado Wild is about nine men living and working on a ranch. That's just their cover, though. In reality they are handpicked and trained assassins. These men do anything against terrorism, human slavery or any other crime that other agencies can't take care of. They are completely off the radar and operate on their own.

The story doesn’t have one main character, but rather a team of individuals. Most of the guys are gay or bi and they are all ex military. The man in charge is Duff, a retired Marine Corps’ General. He’s the leader and the father figure to the other guys.

Billy and Tucker, two of the members, are best friends and secretly in love with each other. When Tucker gets shot on a mission, Billy freaks out.

Roger, an ex-Navy seal, has just arrived at the ranch. Eight months ago his best lover was killed. On the ranch he meets Grant, and Roger is surprised to discover himself attracted to a man for the first time since his lover died. Grant’s lover Craig has left him and the team three month ago. Grant is hung up on his ex, but Roger, the new team member, catches his attention and one small touch isn't enough…

The blurb was kind of misleading. I thought the story would be about Tucker and Billy, but the storyline revolved more around Grant and Roger. I also got a bit confused with the dialogues. There were times where I didn't know who was who and I had to read it all over again.

Overall, this was a good beginning of a new series and a very interesting way in introducing the cast of characters, their emotions and their interactions. I’m looking forward to read more about these guys. Recommended if you enjoy stories with action and suspense.

This book was horrible. I don't understand the 5 stars others gave. The idea of the story is great, but the writing jumped around. I didn't know who was "talking" a lot of the time.

There was No Editing done on this book either. Which always ruins the experience for me. How can I get lost in a book when I keep tripping over misspelling and bad sentence structure.

The book starts with Grant and Roger and builds a base for them, then jumps over to Billy and Tucker and stays there. Grant and Roger are never developed anymore and left hanging. But that's ok, because you don't really care about them. It felt almost like it was going to be a short 100 page book but then another unfinished 100 page book got slapped on the end.

Honestly, this is the first M/M book that I was uncomfortable with, the "love making" scenes between Billy and Tucker bordered on rape. Forcing penetration on a "I'm not sure I'm gay" man and then suddenly once its completed it was "Because of penetration I know I'm gay." Really? There's a fear there, its forced, but its ok because that's how he was proven gay? And Billy, being the "always has been gay" man, had to top? Why? If Tucker was that freaked out, then Billy should have bottomed first.

I'm sorry, but nothing in the book grabbed me in a good way. I wont even bother to try to read another of this authors books. This one left such a bad taste in my mouth

I hate giving low ratings. This is MY opinion and I always, always finish a book. Someone has taken the time and trouble to pen a story and I respect the effort. Sometimes though, an editor and a couple of BETA readers help.
Too many characters all introduced at once. I had problems remembering who was who and who was with who and who wanted to be with who and who did what to who....exhausting! Initially I'd back-track and re-read, but that just took forever as by that stage I was so bored, I just couldn't take the plot-line anymore and skipped back to where I'd left off to go back.(Did you understand that?).
So easy to put down, just so easy...and then difficult to pick up again.
Characters are fine, they're just all so similar. The sex was a little like "painting-by-numbers", it was ok. The plot...what plot?
I won't be purchasing anymore in the series as this novel was dull. I was bored. Sorry author :(

This was a relatively fast read and was okay. I liked the premise of art time cowboy/part time assassin but found the execution not so great. The storyline was flimsier than I would have liked and at times cheesy, over the top and somewhat far fetched. I didn't mind some of the characters but a lot of the interraction felt forced. I would have liked a little more resolution in the first book with some of the threads but it was not to be. As potential go to series for challenges, I may yet read on but i am not sure I would continue otherwise.

Make sure you check out the book trailer! Colorado Wild Book Trailer

Wild Bluff Ranch is full of strong, tough and gorgeous military types, handpicked to form part of an elite and secret organisation. They take on missions to rid the world of the bad guys, missions that bypass ordinarily rules and go under the radar of the usual government organisations.

I loved the action and the multiple characters with a couple of relationships simmering at the same time. Billy and Tucker had a nice story - nothing like a near-death experience to bring people together! - but it is Grant's story that forms a focus.

Grant has been deserted by the man he loved, with no hint as to what went wrong but he is temped by newcomer Roger. There is a bit of cliffhanger ending and you need to read the second book to find out the end of Grant's story.

You need to suspend the disbelief that a high proportion of these elite military men are gay or bi, and just accept that Wild Bluff Ranch is a totally hot place to be!

Note: After the ending, the second book is introduced as Colorado Heat but it is actually Colorado Fire.

I can't believe this book was only $0.99 at ARe and is still only $0.89 at Amazon.

4.5 stars

This book is a little hard for me to review and rate. When I started reading, it seemed like the book was going to be about Grant and Roger and to some extent it was, but then the story changed to be Billy and Tucker and in between there were the others who were at the Ranch and it all sort of jumbled together. I think a lot has to do with this being the first in the series and the author trying to establish each of the characters, but by the end of it I was confused as to who was who, which characters were straight, bi, gay or really confused on what they were. I think if this had only focused on one couple and little introductions it would have worked a lot better. There was a little too much all at once. While I liked Billy and Tucker, them getting together so easily just didn't work. I think if it had been drawn out, some angst and such it would have been more believable. Now Grant and Roger, there we get the tension, looks and the knowledge that each is fighting the attraction for their own reasons. That story I think will be good if the author can focus to just them. I am a sucker for cowboys and alpha males, which this story has completely so still a good read for me. There are some editing errors that were there, but I could overlook. I will read the next one in the series for Grant and Roger and see if the author can deliver what was started.

2.5 Stars. Honestly the premise of this book is utterly ridiculous. Cowboys by day, assassins by night kind of stuff. I also found the idea that all these special forces guys who are the best of the special forces all being gay or bi was just silly. The author would have been better off if it was explained that the former general was recruiting former special operators who were gay/bi because let's face it even though DADT has been repealed the military still isn't gay friendly. So if you were recruiting guys who wanted an opportunity to make a difference but could have a culture where their sexuality was no big deal and they could be comfortable that would make more sense. But I digress on one point out of many that were just silly. The dialogue was stilted and the sex scenes didn't really work for me either. However, I needed a short book with an author name that starts with a Y so I went ahead and read the next one as well - unfortunately it doesn't get better.

2.5 AUDIBLY DISAPPOINTING STARS!

Okay in my opinion this book should be read and not be listened to. The story and the promise of a good series is there however the narrator didn't suit this book and it was only the storyline that kept me hanging by a thread to the end. I've listened to this narrator before and he was fine but with this book his voices came over like characters from Sesame Street and at one point I was sure I heard Grover, Burt and Ernie make an appearance. As the story centres around a group of assassins, gay tough bad ass men sounding like Burt and Ernie and in turn my mind hearing 'where's my rubber duckie Burt' it didn't create the desired effect it should of in my opinion.

I'm sorry, I must have gone into this with misconceptions. I was under the impression that the characters in this book were highly trained, professional operatives who participate in a little steamy guy-on-guy action every now and then. I didn't realize I'd be tuning into a gay version of Days of our Lives with a half-assed attempt at spy games.

Colorado Wild is a story about an elite group of brothers in arms. This group of not only the best of the best. They lived at Wild Bluff Ranch where they are part-time cowboys and the rest of the time they are assassins working for the government no one knows about their jobs. But this group are not only best friends but love is in the air.

Billy Bradford and Tucker Hayes are best friends and the attraction they have for one another is so strong it scares Tucker. He grew up with a father against homosexuals. Tucker must come to terms with the love he feels for Billy and must face reality about loosing his parents.

Grant Stovall was coming to terms about with loosing the love of his live Craig, so when Roger Burk comes to Wild Bluff Ranch Grant not only finds him attractive but finds himself questioning how true was his love for Craig.

Colorado Wild will introduce you a new group of fearless men not only for the line of work but also fearless of who they love. HOT sex scenes between the couples surfacing throughout the story will have you panting.

I found this story and series interesting and I am looking forward reading more about all the hotties from Wild Bluff Ranch. If you like gorgeous men, hot sex between two gorgeous men then this book is for you.

I recommend this book and series.

This novel is intense on many different levels. York combines heart wrenching moments with heart-warming ones to create situations that you can not only imagine but that capture your heart and soul. She also stacks her story full of a bunch of steamy alpha males who are also cowboys, which doesn’t hurt at all. York’s descriptions are straightforward and masculine, allowing her readers to see the world through the eyes of her brilliant cast.

I really like how this story doesn’t have a main character per se, but rather a team of individuals who carry the story forward. There is definitely a couple who stand out but no one is ever overshadowed. Everyone is quite well developed and easy to picture in real life. These characters are developed individually and could all hold their own in their own story. They are the type of individuals that you instinctively want to get to know better.

This was a great story that drew me in and wouldn’t let me go. I appreciate how this story can definitely be read as a standalone work or as part of this captivating series. York left me both satisfied and wanting more. I can’t wait to read more from this talented author. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone who enjoys a few alphas who bat for the other team.

Please note that I received this novel free of charge from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Scooby dooby doos this book will have you wanting more. Billy is so amazing with Tucker. His secret crush not so secret now and as he eases Tucker into feeling safe with his sexuality you want to cry and be so happy for the two. Billy is perfect for tucker. Frankly I think Marshal is in the closet but that's just me.

So Grant poor poor Grant. he was in a relationship he thought was built on trust, respect and love and finds out he was being used. All the while he is having feelings for Roger but has so much unresolved with his ex. His ex in the mean time may be one causing devastation and that could devastate Grant. Grant however has a duty to protect and knows the only way to close the door to his past and move on to Roger (who is smokin hot and also has feelings for Grant) is to hunt down his ex and end all that is going on.

A sensual book in spots but also one of comraderie, passion, friendship and loyalty. One that has a exciting action plot while still navigating relationships and budding feelings. Such a wonderful sensual book that leaves you wanting more and wanting the next book now.

I finished actually reading because I couldn't take the narrator anymore. I only gave this book 3 stars because even though I liked the story to me Sara York just jumped around to much with to many characters and not enough depth into each one individually. At first from reading the description of the book I thought the main guys were suppose to be Grant and Roger and that didn't seem to be the case. It just jumped around to much for me.

A nice mix between action/adventure and romance. I like the premise of the undercover agents masquerading as ranchers and cowboys. And, of course, they're all finding love.

The romantic dialogue is a bit dated and corny, but that's part of the fun.

Sadly the narrator, Stan Jenson, didn't work for me.

an audiobook copy of Colorado Wild was provided to me for the purpose of my honest review, all opinions are my own

The writing style is different. Took me a bit to get used to it. There was a lot going on and the editing was rough. I liked the premise but there wasn't much story building with the whys and hows for such a secret group to come about with or without government knowledge. Then one of the couples got together and it devolved into sugary goo that was enough to give me a tooth ache. The other couple are in the wings apparently waiting out till the next book? I would like to say I will be on the look out but I don't think I will be. I've read stories before where I was more interested in the side couple more than the main MC's. This felt like the reversal of that.
I think the confusion for me was reading the blurb and then beginning the story. I latch on the the MC's names so I know the players. The blurb is all about the 'secondary' couple with a line or two about the 'primary' couple. When the book starts its all about the primary couple. I honestly thought I was reading the wrong story.

I had just finished reading the Texas Soul series when I heard that this series was being released. Grant was introduced in the final book in the series, pulling me into this book. I mean, a ranch full of sexy cowboy assassins? Yes please.

I must say that this book was a lot different than I thought it would be. The writing style was much more smooth than that of the Texas Soul series. I enjoyed the duality of the characters: sweet and deadly. Who could resist? Tucker and Billy were relatable and fun. The tension between Grant and Roger was so thick you could almost taste it. Not to mention the other cowboys, adding to the feeling of camaraderie among the men.

This book had it all: friends to lovers, lovers to enemies, and promises for budding romance. It left a lot of room for more books, which I am so excited to read. Thank you Sarah, for leaving me hungry for more ;)

Audiobook review

DNF around 20%

Wow, that was a wasted hour of my life. There was absolutely nothing redeemable with this book. The plot and characters were horrendous. It read more like teen-wannabes than alpha male soldiers. And the plot was ridiculous beyond belief. So nothing worthwhile there.

In some cases a great narration can save a bad book, but in this case the narration made it even worse. He sounded bored to the max and had the worst voices for the different characters.
Skip this book, you won't miss a thing.
