In the Karkonosze Mountains, the Border Guard finds the body of a frozen collage student. The contents of his backpack leave no doubt: the boy was not an unlucky tourist. Meanwhile, a teenager disappears in Zgorzelec and there are many indications that she was abducted. In both cases, the clues lead to the Zgorzelec mafia, which is fighting for influence at the Polish-German border crossing. In the place where East meets West. The investigation is being conducted by Commissioner Paweł Ciszewski and Commissioner Albin Plesiński, known from the novel "Tak będzie prościej".

Śledztwo prowadzą znani z powieści "Tak będzie prościej" komisarz Paweł Ciszewski i komisarz Albin Plesiński.

„I chose Poland. I chose a Pole” is a biography of a forgotten British-turned-Polish writer, George Bidwell who immigrated to Poland in the late 40s. Bidwell, a former officer of the British Army and a veteran of the campaign in Africa, came to Warsaw after the war, to take up a post of the British Council director. After a scandalous dissolution of his first marriage, Bidwell married a Pole, renounced his English citizenship, and became a Pole himself. He became a widely read writer, published nearly 50 titles. He wrote books in English, and his wife translated them into Polish. Bidwell was friends with a famous Polish author, Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz, who introduced him to the Polish Writers' Association. “I chose Poland. I chose a Pole” is part of the British Library collection in London.

Przemysław lives in Toruń, Poland.

Odłożyłam na szowinistycznym wyrzygu w okolicach jednej piątej objętości. Ani to zabawne, ani potrzebne, kto by chciał czytać takie rzeczy.
