The Windy City Dragon is Tobias’ tale. Tobias is an intelligent, logical perfectionist, a firm believer in rules, pediatric cardiologist, and most all...he has been living as a human for many years, refusing to acknowledge or release his dragon.
Sabrina, caring, nurturing, intelligent and strong, and a pediatric nurse with a secret. One that quickly becomes unveiled when the human-vampire hybrid decides she is going to kiss the good doctor and then erase his memory of it...only one thing, she can’t erase a dragon’s memory and that kiss sticks with both of them.
This story had a different FMC / MMC dynamic in my opinion. Tobias is not the aggressive fighter, he is not the most alpha, he is not in line to be the ruler of paragon. He is more logical, thoughtful, and felt more beta than alpha, that is…until he’s in protector mode and then he discovers a whole new side of himself.
Sabrina was the strongest character in this book, and it was refreshing to have a strong female lead. I appreciated that Sabrina didn’t change herself, her views, or beliefs just because she met a man and fell in love. She has a path that she must follow and that will come first and Tobias is going to just have to be there to back her up… FANTASTIC!
Gabriel and Raven are back and more of their story unfolds. Tobias has many issues to come to grips with, who he is, Paragon, Sabrina, and his relationship and beliefs towards Gabriel and Raven. Tobias will need to let his staunch and rigid beliefs go in order to be there for Gabriel and Raven and he will need to let his dragon out to protect Sabrina.
Once again, I was captivated by the fantasy, storyline, and characters in this book. My only focus was getting to the HEA and learning more about Paragon and the siblings. This was another fantastic addition to the series, and I look forward to Rowan's story, the baby sister of 8 dragon brothers. I just know she is going to be one tough cookie!
I definitely recommend and will keep reading this series!
