She never expected freedom to carry such a high price.

When eighteen-year-old Ziggy runs away from home to find her soulmate, her path leads her to the quaint town of Mallhaven.

Fresh off the bus, the rebellious hippie accepts work on a cannabis farm deep in the mountains.

But what she considered the beginning of an amazing adventure swiftly turns into a terrifying nightmare when she's drugged and held captive alongside eleven other girls.

Ziggy must escape, and soon. But can she bear to leave behind the other captives?

Please note: Although this book can be read as a standalone, it is highly recommended that The Hunter's Game be read first.

This was the second book in this series and in my opinion, you need to read these as a set really just to get the whole character dynamic and make sense overall of this whole series.
This was my favourite out of the three its told in alternating chapters flipping between Ziggy and Kane.
This starts where we left off with Kane and Ziggy arriving at Hunter's house and Kane sharing for Clovers benefit the past history the three share and how its all entangled with The Farm, The Church and The Father.
This had some seriously dark undertones; much blacker than what we were exposed to in the previous book.
I also should mention that this darkness involves non-consent and drug partition so if this is an issue well please be aware that this does contain that.
I really adored Kane in this it is obvious he is trying to atone for past actions by being Ziggy's protector and saviour, whatever the reason I really loved the protective vibe he had with her.
I also liked Ziggy she was basically a naive girl who had got in far too deep.
She had been manipulated into actions she otherwise wouldnt have dreamed of and I worried for her and her fate throughout this.
Then there's Hunter I know he was slightly younger in this but regardless of that fact, he seemed like a completely different person here, more of a follower than a leader which might have just been his age and the fact that Kane was older and had such a strong personality but it didn't sit right with me, he didn't seem like the Hunter I had come to know.
I also liked him here wherein both other books I just couldn't take to him at all.
I also loved the dynamic between him and Kane and also his relationship with MJ: their bond shone through and I believed the affection these two shared was genuine.
Maybe that's where some of my issues lie here after reading the first three in this series I felt the bond between MJ and Hunter much more than I ever have with Hunter and Clover.
With MJ I felt he was more loving and empathetic and with Clover not so much, he just seemed so much colder.
This did answer many of the questions I had left over from the last book but it also left me feeling slightly worried about Clover's eventual fate as she did wander onto the father's land uninvited.
All in this was my fave of the bunch and I did like also that it was so very different from its predecessor in overall style.

I’m like a bird with a broken wing. Even if it heals, I’ll always be too weak to fly far from the nest.

Holy shit.

Honestly I can’t find very many words at this point, but I’ll try. This is not a romance. I say this not because it’s claimed to be one, but because there is romance in the first book. The Binding Ties is more like a dark suspenseful prequel/back story for Kane and Ziggy (who we meet briefly in THG). It’s how they met, how they know Hunter, and why their story matters to Clover. And what we find out is terrifying and also intriguing.

This story kept me turning pages. It does build pretty slowly, but you always know something is about to go down. Something major. Like that feeling you just get at the back of your mind like “bad idea. Run!” Yeah. You will feel that the entire time you read this.

There are some twists and turns in this one that make it all the more interesting. It unveils another plot point to this story and gives us a MAYBE glimpse into what’s next for Clover and Hunter. Once again. I can’t wait for more.

So much YES! I have no idea how to sum up how much my dark heart loved this book! If you enjoy dark romance and suspense then you're going to love this, but proceed with caution... it's not for the feint of heart!

If you've not read book one, Hunter's Game, then you need to do that first. They're two very different stories, but they're connected, and both are fantastic reads.

It's a pretty long book, but I was gripped throughout. Logan has such an incredible way with words, creating vivid characters. We know something dark and terrible is coming, but we're kept on the edge of our seat the entire time.

Very excited to move on to book three!

I voluntarily read and reviewed this as an ARC
My mind is whirling ! This second book in the series centers around Hunter, Kane and Ziggy and the past that brought them together. It evoked emotions in me that were raw, dark and disconcerting. There were times chills raced down my spine and the heat for vengeance encapsulated my soul. Logan Fox made me momentarily forget about Clover until the end. My eyes bugged out when I was brought back to the present and imagined what could be in store for Clover and Hunter....and I can't wait to find out!

Holy Fuck!! I think I just left my stomach behind. This book is a kind of prequel to Hunters game and gives the back story of Kane and Ziggy and why Clover should be afraid that she entered Church lands in the previous book. The main problem, I don't think Clover truly believes which is going to be a problem.
The story builds slowly and as is her want Logan drip feeds us information as the plot thickens. This is far darker than book 1 and I wouldn't recommend if you are feint of heart. Having said that, if you have balls of steel this book is so gripping that I had to force myself to put it down at 1 am this morning, picking it up again as soon as I opened my eyes when I woke up.
Awesome read that I can thoroughly recommend if you enjoy the darker side of literature. Well written and boy does Logan grab you and drag you (literally) through the pits of hell, you'll understand how real that is if you read this.
This is not a standalone and to fully enjoy and understand the plot I would suggest you read the books in order. Logan Fox is rapidly becoming one of my favourite authors and I can't wait for the next installment.

I'm honestly not quite sure what to say about this book. That's not good or bad, I'm just still on the fence about some things.

I liked that I can feel good about what Kane has become (if you read the Dark Twisted Love 5-book series then he's very familiar to you). I honestly liked the guy a whole lot in this one and that makes me smile since I even liked him when he was a bad guy. I loved that I was constantly intrigued about what would happen next and couldn't wait to get back to reading. I did feel as though this book was much longer than I'm use to by this author and dragged a bit for a while there, but I still kept reading :-) That ending is certainly interesting and I'm intrigued about what will come in the next book with Hunter and Clover!

I've read other Logan Fox books before and this is definitely not the darkest or even weirdest ("Dark Rapture" a.k.a. "The Fox Pit Billionaires" takes that honor). But some of the scenes at the end definitely reminded me of some similar rituals from Dark Rapture - and maybe that's intentional. I'm not sure if the author intended to add in some fantasy elements so that it crossed into that genre, but some of the details mentioned at the end , turned this into a fantasy type of novel that seemed a bit out of place. But up until this point, it was a psychological thriller surrounding a satanic group. I'm not a fan of fantasy novels and tend to avoid them, but with that said, I can handle some minor fantasy elements as long as it doesn't make the entire book seem too unrealistic. But this is just my personal preference. Outside of that one part, the rest of the book was pretty good.

It’s a complicated interwoven story.

Clover wants answers. So Hunter brings in Ziggy “Zee” and Kane for some explaining.
This begins the seven days of creation parable for Ziggy and Kane’s story.
Recommend.

OMG! Hunter and Kane (see book 1) decide to tell Clover the story of how Hannah aka Ziggy comes to be in the horrid condition she is in. Ziggy was a young, rebellious girl who meets the love of her life , Andrew Malone, on a website. He seems very wise and helps Ziggy to learn how to prepare herself to escape from her overbearing parents. He tells her to keep herself pure for him and teaches her how to be free from hate so that her soul will also be pure. He doesn’t do any sort of video chat so she doesn’t know what he looks like. She just knows that she has fallen in love with Andrew and plans to marry him. He tells her to come to Mallhaven and call him so he can pick her up at the bus station. In her determination to prevent her parents from contacting her again, she throws her cell phone in the trash. She has memorized Andrew’s phone number and goes to a pay phone to call him. The number doesn’t work and Ziggy goes to retrieve her phone from the trash, planning to double check the number. Too bad her phone has disappeared. In her fear and frustration, she accepts a job picking buds off marijuana plants for $50/day. She joins another girl called MJ in the back of a pickup that Hunter and Kane are driving, heading to a pot farm to work.

There is more to this farm than meets the eye! There is evil in abundance surrounding them, and MJ and Ziggy become pawns in a wicked game. There are satanic elements to this book, and rituals that will give you nightmares! This is not a love story or a romance novel. This is something dark, and I can’t wait to read the third book!!!

Ziggy, a rebellious teen, runs away from home to be with her soulmate, Andrew. Oh, the plans they made! She promised Andrew to stay pure; they were to be married in a month, after all. Arriving at Mallhaven, a quiet mountain town, Ziggy is stunned at the natural beauty surrounding her.

In a fit of anger at her parents, Ziggy tosses her smartphone in the trash, and goes into a local convenience store and asks to use the phone to call her love, Andrew. Ziggy is shocked to discover the number isn't working... And no one knows an Andrew Malone...

After being accosted repeatedly by a homeless man, Ziggy accepts the seeming lifeline offered by Kane; to become a cannabis bud harvester at "the farm." After her arrival, Ziggy becomes first concerned, then frightened, and finally terrified as the truth comes out...

Kane just wants to lay low. He's on the run from the law and doesn't want to be noticed. Haunted by the howling ghosts in his mind, he just wants to “garden” and smoke weed. But Ziggy and MJ are in trouble, and it's his fault... He brought them here, to Colby... And the Father...

Oh my Gosh!!!!! What a book! It sucked me in and under like a wild whirlpool! The twists, the turns, the shocks! I loved it! Can hardly wait to see what happens next!

The suspense is very high; the plot is amazing and like a roller-coaster ride.
Great character development and once you reach the end you are just left wanting more once you get your breath.
Highly recommend reading!!

The Binding Ties

Wow, this was such an emotional read. My mind was going a mile a minute, I know what was coming but didn’t expected it in the way Logan presented it. I was thankful for that presentation. This definitely an excellent book, but I just could read it straight through. It’s graphic, twisted beyond belief and once you come to an understanding their goes another turn into the story. Its such a good mind binder. It’s sets a pace, first were in the present, but in order to get to the next level we have to understand the past. As with the next book I am curious to see if Zee will open up and start talking again especially to Clover its hunting that her first words were to Clover instead of Zane or Hunter. I must say this would not be a Logan Fox book if he didn’t leave you with something to think about.

I much preferred this book to the first one in the series! It was a lot more interesting to read!

I really liked the storyline - slightly creepy - but I really enjoyed it.

And I love the characters. Each of them has their own story/past to tell and I really like how every one of them has something that makes them unique. I can’t really go into too much detail (although, I’d love to) without spoiling it.

The character development in this was great. You could really see how Ziggy and Kane changed throughout the book and you also got to see what Hunter used to be like.

I’m definitely reading ‘The Whipping Girls’.

Holy $#@%&@$ hell!!

I want to say so many bad words right now!! Holy hell, that was one crazy, scary, sad, sadistic story. I know I'm a weirdo that feels as if every character I read is a real person, and with that in mind...I can't even believe that those poor girls had to go through all that craziness! I'm so heartbroken for all of them, especially Hunter. I definitely cannot wait to read the next book to see what he does. Zee is one strong woman, and so is Clover. Oh man, I'm just still in a state of shock after all that.

This is a dark disturbing and depraved story that centers around Kane and Hunter and Ziggy. I am a little unsure of the timeframe as there are confusing references. However, it doesn’t really detract from the story but if you are offended by drug use or satanism then this is not the book for you. It is such a compelling read that I found myself zipping through the last chapters almost feverishly, wanting to know what happens. There is a partial conclusion but there is also a cliffhanger so there is no happy ending as such, we have to wait for the next book.

Holy Moly!! This is the second book in the series and gives the backstory of Kane and Ziggy. It's darker and more raw, than book one, but so thrilling and intense, and that made it such a compelling read. It's suspenseful, intriguing and kept me fascinated throughout and turning the pages. Fantastic read and I definitely recommend it, and can't wait to see what happens next.

ONE DARK AND TWISTED DELIGHT!!!
OH CRAP! YEP! It's about to hit the fan. Logan really brought out the magic in this tough as nails, on point realism that spins so intense, bursting with emotions bringing this gripping tale to life spectacularly. The tension is thick, the chemistry is hot and the danger is skyrocketing. Twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few bumps and bruises bring this baby together flawlessly. The characters and scenes are so realistic with such graphic detailed descriptions it feels as though your right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Fantastic job Logan, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.

Loved this dark read!!

This is a story that will pull you in, twist you around and spit you out!!! It picks up where The Hunter's Game (Book one of the Blood for Blood series) leaves off and gives you the story of MJ, Hunter, Kane and Ziggy. I'm not going to lie it is dark and you will be wondering wtf!!!, did that really just happen? All I can say to that is, Yes it did! I am looking forward to finding out what happens next and I most definitely recommend reading The Hunter's Game and then this book, The Binding Ties, to get caught up for what's coming next in the awesome dark series. Thank you Logan Fox for letting the darkness loose!!!

Of the three books in this series that I've read, I think this one is my favourite.

As always, the highest strength of this novel is in its pacing. The story moves along at a breakneck pace, which I have come to expect from this author.

The character development in this novel also came across much more strongly. This may have to with the focus being on what are minor characters in the other two books I have read (1 & 3). I found that the main characters in this book were much more complex and felt more humanised.

There were some elements revealed in this book that have disrupted the cohesiveness of the overarching plot of the story - some of these revelations have made plot points in the other nonsensical for me. It also seems that here are threads that were never tied up - from a series, I expect that, but I speak of threads that were largely tangential to the main storyline and I can't see how they would ever come up again. There were also a number of mistakes in this novel - plural vs possessive seems to be an area for improvement as I think I've found these errors in all three novels.

I think the subject matter was, overall, too disturbing for me to say that I especially enjoyed reading this novel, but I also couldn't put it down.

WOW this Book is about two woman that get in the wrong car. This book is about two men that will do anything to defend and rescue the two woman that they brought to the farm. This book is like a nightmare that they cant wake up from. Its so raw and so painful to read at times that I found myself looking up just to have a breather, before I had to start reading again. Super addictive and I found I had to read it in one sitting. Its sooooo Good.
Once you start this book you wont be able to out it down.

So NOT a romance story...but it's still a love story. This is Kane, Ziggy and Hunter's history. So intense, dark, deep, full of triggers...but so utterly well-written and well-developed that you are instantly drawn in and unable to put it down. Characters are so well-developed, as a reader you know what they are thinking, until you turn the page...this author keeps you engaged in the storyline until the very last sentence and then leaves you wanting more!!! Definitely recommend this book! Definitely recommend following this author!

Wow. Just wow.

Logan has gotten me pulled in deep. This is a lot darker than the first one but just as intriguing. Definitely not for the faint of heart. As expected, I am still very much in love with Hunter and Clover and now I can add Kane and Zee to the mix.

I cannot wait to continue their stories!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author through Voracious Readers Only.

SO trigger warnings all over this one, as some of this book might cause issues to those that are sensitive, but if you really enjoy a DARK psychological thriller this is a must read. It's the second book in Blood for Blood, you can read it on it's own but I really suggest you read the first. This is not the type of book I normally read, but it's one of those books that once you start, you HAVE to finish. It's the type of book that consumes you, and leaves you reeling at the same time. It was a great read, but definitely dark.

Had to read this second book in the Blood for Blood series and will definitely be carrying on with the third, The Whipping Girls! This novel backgrounds The Hunter’s Game and leads you through all the dark pathways of violence that gave birth to the twisted pairing of Hunter and Clover through a second bizarre duo, Kane and Ziggy. From Satanic messiahs to drug trafficking, you will start to look at small towns through a very different, paranoid lens. Do not expect a happy ending preceded by a breathless run through a close, but not quite damaging brush with the dark side. This story rips through the souls of its characters with a serrated prose that severs the entrails of their decency. Another addictive read by Fox!

This is not for the weak of heart. It will draw you in and break your heart all at thee same time. It is like a sore you get and because it is there you can’t stop messing with it. Well, this story is dark and wicked. It has it’s sweet moments that you just love but then it does a 180 in the opposite direction. Ziggy and Kane have this love hate relationship that keeps you glued to the edge of your seat. We get to see more of Hunter and his life. This story is incredible and a must read.
