Innehållet stämmer väl med titeln. Detta är basformen, som fungerar i ett litet entreprenörsdrivet företag med en produkt som levererar en massa datapunkter. På detta sätt beskrivs den ideala typen. Däremot om man ska skall tillämpa modellen på ett äldre, större och eller där datainsamlingen inte är så naturligt kopplad till produkten blir tillämpningen plötsligt väldigt mycket svårare.
