BEST-SELLING "LETTING GO" author Guy Finley's encouraging and accessible message is one of the true bright lights in our world today. His ideas go straight to the heart of our most important personal and social issues -- relationships, success, addiction, stress, peace, happiness, freedom -- and lead the way to a higher life.

Finley is the acclaimed author of The Secret of Letting Go, The Essential Laws of Fearless Living and 35 other major works that have sold over a million copies in 18 languages worldwide. In addition, he has presented over 4,000 unique self-realization seminars to thousands of grateful students throughout North America and Europe over the past 25 years and has been a guest on over 400 television and radio shows, including appearances on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, NPR and many others. He is a member of the faculty of the Omega Institute and a daily contributor to Beliefnet.

Finley is Director of Life of Learning Foundation, the non-profit self-realization school in Merlin, Oregon, and his popular Key Lesson e-mails are read each week by 200,000 subscribers in 142 countries. His work is widely endorsed by doctors, business professionals, celebrities, and religious leaders of all denominations.

Guy's career reached this point through a circuitous path. Born into a successful show business family, he is the son of Late-Night TV and radio pioneer Larry Finley. His childhood friends were the sons and daughters of the most famous celebrities in the world. As a young man Guy enjoyed success in a number of areas including composing award-winning music for many popular recording artists including Diana Ross, The Jackson 5, Billy Preston, The Four Seasons, as well as writing the scores for several motion pictures and TV shows. From 1970-1979 he wrote and recorded his own albums under the Motown and RCA recording labels.

Throughout his youth, Guy suspected there was more to life than the type of worldly success that led to the emptiness and frustration he saw among his own "successful" friends and colleagues. In 1979, after travels throughout North America, India and the Far East in search of truth and Higher Wisdom, Guy voluntarily retired from his flourishing music career in order to simplify his life and to concentrate on deeper self-studies.

In addition to his writing and appearance schedule, Guy presents four inner-life classes each week at Life of Learning Foundation in Merlin, Oregon. These classes are ongoing and open to the public. Click here for more details about Guy's ongoing talks.

At one time or another we all struggle with our relationships, with those we love and connect with daily to those we have to interact with, in our work or day to day environments. I can’t tell you what a fine book this is, for helping one navigate these daily encounters with care and understanding, instead of frustration and fear. It frees you to begin to be yourself and listen in a new way maybe for the first time ever, to really hear, the sentiments behind what others are saying or doing and to begin to see your part in the drama that you find yourself in. This book is not only worth reading but one that you can share with your family and friends, with anyone who really want to live their lives fully instead of being dragged about by their emotions and feeling bad afterwards. I'm so happy to have found it.

I am claiming the read of this book as one of the most important in my life. Recently married in my 50's I have had an inkling that there is a special kind of "get it right" kind of love to be practiced and experienced; both for the health of a marriage and even more so for the elevation of my own evolution and knowing of what love is.
This exercise in creating partnership is not for the faint hearted. I would suggest that you know yourself to be strong, secure, and committed to embrace the recommendations of Guy Finley. If you are interested in a step up the rung of the ladder of higher consciousness as it pertains to a loving partnership this book will help to change your life and your relationship. Right book at the the right time for me!

Amazing Relationship Secrets! Guy Finley presents some really “wow” ideas in this book. And I know they work, because I've been trying them out.

Here are a few of the things that really struck me. 1) the purpose of all relationships is to reveal the invisible things in my consciousness that limit me 2) hard as it is to believe- my partner is not to blame for my unhappiness, 3) if I wish to have a truly harmonious relationship with anyone it is me who must change.

I totally recommend this book if you are ready and willing to incorporate some real wisdom into your relationships and your life!

What I noticed in reading this book was that something in me likes to "resist" ideas that are, I guess you could say, "off the beaten path". But continuing forward with the book, I could really feel the truth behind what the author was trying to convey. Even though, it feels like nothing in me likes the idea of "this one's on me" (to basically stand in the pain of an argument and not throw it back onto my partner), I feel that nothing else has worked in my relationships up to this date. There has just been automatic knee-jerk reactions. That being said, I welcome the idea of a new possibility of working with Relationship Magic in my life.

All relationship books are hard to read. They either talk about philosophies that are hard to implement or give step by step instructions on what to do to have a better relationship, without addressing the core. This one leans more to the philosophical side. I’ll have to re-read it in order to actually put to practice the principles. I like the ABCs to avoid: Anger, Blame, and Coercion. That’s memorable, true, and helpful.

Her kişisel gelişim kitabında olduğu gibi soyut bir anlatım var, keşke sevebilmek duygusunu olaylar üzerinde aktarsaydı. Kitabın verdiği mesajlardan şunları anladım diyebilirim:
•Öncelikle koşulsuz sevgiyi her kavga anında hatırla.
•Şükretmeyi unutma, hayatın kısa olduğunu fark et.
•Aşk ile beklentiler zıt şeylerdir.
•Karşınızdakini değiştirmek ve ilişkiyi yenilemek için kendini değiştir.

“Relationship Magic - Waking up together”’ın Türkçe çevirisi.
