A Valkyrie’s Muse
I am a self-published author. Through my journey I have had some amazing moments and some not so amazing moments. I have made friends and lost friends. As a self-published author I have wanted to quit, sometimes daily.
Research shows the most common reason an indie author quits their passion is due to a lack of support. Writers are twice as likely to commit suicide and suicide rates are up 30% in the last 10 years. Writers need to unite and support each other, not fight our way to the top. Trust me there is room for more than one in the upper echelons.
Valkyries are Odin’s chosen handmaidens. Their job was to find slain warriors and take them to Valhalla. A muse inspires creativity.
Our goal at A Valkyrie’s Muse is a double-pronged approach. First off-- we want to inspire and assist writers that have lost hope. And secondly we want to advocate and lobby companies to support and purchase self-published work.
Our anthologies allow the funding we need to keep assisting others.
Accidentally Paranormal is a compilation of stories all focusing on the paranormal. The writers were given a 200 or less word description of a story. They had to make it into a min of 10k words. I hope you enjoy all there hard work.
