Age: Melody : 19; Cain : 30-40?.
Deep Cut was a taboo, smutty, insta-love read with over-the-top possessive alpha hero. It was also sizzling as hell! I enjoyed the unique writing and the storyline. I found Melody to be extremely likable, she was an open book and wore her heart on her sleeves. She was straight forward, loyal, honest, sweet, innocent and one hell of a chick. I really liked Cain's down to earth nature and his dirty thoughts. The chemistry between Cain and Melody was intense, as if you could feel it coming off the pages. I love an age gap romance but Cain's age wasn't really specified. There is not too much angst and the epilogue is wonderful. I was happy for them at the end. Although six children, a grand baby, a garden, five dogs, seven cats, four goldfish, and a dozen or so chickens seem a bit excessive. But hey, who am I to judge other people's happiness.
There were some aspects of the story that were unrealistic. It was too short and definitely cemented the fact that I prefer a longer story with more details and a slower burn. Cain and Melody's relationship was very OTT, to such a degree that I found it unbelievable. They exchanged I Love You's the first time they slept together which was at about 45%. They barely knew each other. So very insta-love. I also got uncomfortable when the hero kept adding the word 'mate' and 'breed' like, "She's mine. My mate. I will breed her." I was like she's still in high school! Let her live a little. But I guess I should have expected that going into this book. You usually read this type of book for the smut only. And holy hell, was it smutty. And Cain was the ultimate alpha.
Overall, a scorching insta-love story with OTT obsessive alpha man who gets what he wants. Just a little drama and a very sweet HEA. It was predictable but I enjoyed it. I recommend it for hopeless romantics looking for a quick read and who are lovers of older alpha males and sweet, innocent heroines.

She's sweet and pure and filthy. She's every dream I've ever had come true. And she wants me. Me. The beast, the ugly backwoods ax wielding hermit that people in town skirt across the street to avoid.

Dani knows how to write extremely hot and taboo stories and this is one of her best in my opinion.
The past few months have been hard on Melody after her mum disappeared with the family fortune and her and her father were left with little choice but to leave London and return to his home town in America. Thrust into a new life with no friends and a father trying to recapture his youth the only person she wants to know is her Uncle Cain. Although they are not related by blood a relationship between them would still be frowned upon but as they spend more time together her feelings become more and more intense and she wants him to be her everything but how would her father feel about her and her uncle being together?
Cain took one look and fell hard for Melody, what he feels for her could never be described as family, she is going to be his world. He is already dedicated to her and wants her to have everything that she has ever dreamed of. But would he really want the rough and tumble lumberjack he is by day and the author of fairy tales by night? Can he get the girl and still keep his adoptive brother?
Cain is a way OTT alpha male but his utter devotion to Melody steals your heart and Melody is a perfect woman for him, its intensely hot so keep an eye on that kindle and enjoy their story. Cannot wait for Ginger and Vin’s story…………

Cain turns obsessed the moment that he meets Melody and knows that she will be his, its only a matter of time. Melody has just moved to the states with her dad after her mom ran off and took all their money. The moment that she meets Cain, she knows that he is different. The only thing is, he's older and her uncle. He might not be a blood related uncle, but what will everyone else think if they go forward with their feelings?? Guess what?? Cain doesn't care what everyone else thinks and will have melody no matter what.

This was okay for a tabooish story but it wasn't as hawt as the first DW book I just read. There is a fine line between devotion and obsession. This one was just that much too far past the line that I wasn't as convinced the relationship dynamics weren't coercive and unhealthy.

Ok, so this started as an uncle book, but turned into a daddy book. And before everyone starts getting upset, they are not related….not related. I always like to state that multiple times...you know, just in case. He knows he wants her and is biding his time, then his time arrives. His step brother asks him to watch her for the weekend…oh and she is 19, when she ask him what he wants, she opens the door for him to tell her exactly what he wants. By now….pretty sure that is obvious, but just in case, it’s her forever. So they have a really, really good weekend. I’m talking virginity losing weekend.

Cain and Melody’s story was a quick instalove story and I absolutely loved it.
This couple have an unlikely and unconventional relationship but they cannot deny their immediate sense of attraction and completeness.

Cain tries to resist at first, but then Melody ends up having to bunk with him when her dad goes out of town and there’s a gas leak at her house, and he doesn’t even last an hour w/ her there lol.

The whole book is him going on and on about how she’s his mate and he’s going to breed her til her belly and tits are full etc etc. Quite entertaining. Cain is also a closet author of fairytales, which I thought was a cool aspect of his character. It was really romantic when he wrote Melody a story for her birthday.
He takes being Melody’s daddy super seriously. He has a cow when he finds out Melody has serious allergies and she isn’t wearing a medical warning bracelet. He packs her lunch and gets her dressed for school, etc etc. He even drives to her school to have lunch w her everyday. Oh yeah, she’s still in high school 💀😂

Did not hold my attention. I love an older man with younger woman romance but unfortunately this is boring. An element of taboo, but not really because Cain's not her uncle, her father was Cain's adopted brother. So she's not blood related and she was born and raised in a different country, so she'd never even meet him. Not until she was almost nineteen. So it's a safe read as such. There are some hot scenes but it got so dull I didn't finish, which isn't good when it's so short but didn't keep my attention.
She suddenly calls him daddy and it just felt tagged on and unnecessary. His possessiveness became creepy stalker over the top. The writing is lacking, there are wrongly worded sentences and inconsistencies, one minute her hair is black, the next it's chocolate brown, then it's back to jet black. I lost interest quickly. Just didn't keep me entertained enough to even want to finish it.

Oh the Growling Lumberjacks!!!
Oh Dani knows the key to my heart. Take an innocent who has been through so much, add in a growling alpha male who wants to worship said innocent and end in HEA. Swoon!!! That is what Dani gives us with this one. Cain and Melody were made for each other, their coupling might be a little more taboo than normal, but the love that each exudes for the other is what makes my heart melt with each page I read. The devotion Cain gives to everything that he does, having Melody in his thoughts at all times is what any little dreams of. I absolutely love this series and can’t wait for Vin and Ginger’s story next.

Hot Lumber-Daddy
Well wow i need to find me an alpha lumber jack who growls at me and treats me like a princess. This is written well and i thoroughly enjoyed it. This could be read as taboo to some but the way it is handled it is a beautiful story. Cain is a simple guy with simple needs until Melody comes along. This is there story from the good, bad and really really hott!!. This maybe a short story but it is a steamy little bit of naughtiness to lose yourself on for a few hours. Dani Wyatt has done another book justice if this is your first story by her or your returning reader one lick away.

Loved this wonderful taboo story.
Melody and her dad moved back to his hometown after her mother left him. Her dad was adopted when he was little and then the couple ended up having a baby boy of their own as well. Her Uncle Cain is handsome and maybe to some people a little scary, but Melody has not been able to stop dreaming about him since they moved into the old family home. Cain has felt possessive and crazy ever since his niece came to live in the small town he calls home. He's decided that he will have her and makes his move the day after her nineteenth birthday. This is a beautiful taboo story that you don't want to miss and I highly recommend it!

Loved it
I know most people will think this book is taboo. Well you'd be right. There is nothing wrong with it as long as everyone consents. I've read Dani before. I love her stories and glad I stumbled onto her books. The is about Cain and his step niece Melody. The sex scenes are hot with some Daddy/little aspects. It hot and dirty in all the right places. These two are in love from the start. I just really enjoyed it and can't wait to read more of her books. It wad an exciting and pleasurable read. From start to finish I was on the edge of my seat.

Cain has always been happy with his lot in life. By day works in the wood at night he writes fairy tales. This mountain man is about to get his HEA in the form of Melody. His adoptive brothers daughter. It's a serious case of something being so wrong it right. I cant say how much I loved this book. It was steamy and sweet. Over the top Male who is already ready to defend his woman... or his princess. :)

Preposterous — spoilers
I could not finish, it was just tooo nope. So many implausible elements and suspensions of reality have to be made to make this even remotely readable. The niece thing, ick and the he like gloated about it it wa just all gross. This book wasn’t romantic, wasn’t instalove it was just weird the dialogue was so dumb and ludicrous. Her personality was stupid and idiotic and unbelievable. Just all over no!

Pretty good
The MMC had some genuinely funny interactions which had me laughing. I liked the storyline BUT did the FMC really have to call him Uncle continually?! I mean I could see in the beginning why she did and I would even kinda understand maybe saying it jokingly once or twice in the beginning but at some point it just got weirder every time she said it. That was really my biggest concern with the book.
