Average story
This isn't a bad story, but it's not great either. Low angst, no cheating, harlequin type of story. I really enjoyed it but it just missed the ahhh moment. Hero meets heroine, has a one night stand, leaves before she wakes up and it's over. Three no the later, surprise! Baby on board but unfortunately hero thinks he's sterile so he basically calls her a liar. The only reason I think they had to go to Tala to meet is for a good name for the baby. That was a reach there but I know word count is important. And hello have you two neve.r heard of DNA? Come on. Very frustrating at times. It was better than another of this authors books I just read a week ago but still, make it believable. I still finished it but at the end I didn't really love it. Two epilogues and even though the toddler was very cute, I just didn't get that ahhh feeling. It was more of an ah! That being safe it was safe, and free in KU and I liked it. I will keep reading this author but I hope I find that special moment soon.

So a huge chunk of the book is the same conversation over and over. "I'm prego with your baby" "No you're not" repeat 17 times until someone finally suggests a paternity test, but by that point you only have like 20% of book left.
And because it's the same semi argument over and over, it's not like their relationship develops. Yay someone you've met once and spent days insulting is pregnant with your miracle baby. And now you're saying you love her? Because...you watched a second movie with her? Because you felt there might be potential before you ran out on her after sleeping together/knocked her up?

A well written book with an interesting story line. The characters are strong and the story flows quickly and smoothly. I enjoyed reading this story.

What happens?
Kendall is home in her hometown visiting her elderly aunt. She decides to get away from the nagging and goes to the movies on her own. Chase is stuck in this small town because the plane he was on had to be grounded. When he rescues Kendall from an unwanted suitor at the movies they strike up an unlikely but suited relationship. They have technically unprotected sex and end up with Kendall having to chase Chase (lol) around to tell him hes pregnant although he believes this is impossible.
Final thoughts
This wasn't fantastic nor bad either but the bad outweighs what I liked:
1) Unprotected sex, I know she was on the pill but would you really have sex with a stranger (no matter if they're famous/rich) when you've just met them? No so no glove no love and having that in the book is just plain silly. I know no one younger than 18 should read this book but still.
2) If hes had two doctors tell him he is infertile how has he suddenly produced a child? Its never really gone into its just like "well this has happened".
3) Left on an island. That is a quick skip over too, they were left on an ISLAND in the sun with no water for hours. a) she was pregnant b) they had no sun protection c) could have major dehydration but they were fine.
4) Kendall really bugged me in parts. She felt like she was a bit of a whinge.
I did have a moment when Kendall is thinking about her mum and I thought YES literally this is how I feel.
Not the only part I did like btw, just something I wanted to point out I related to. I did think Kendal was good at getting hold of Chase and not letting her hold go. She was very strong in her resolve to prove he was the baby's father and I thought that was good.
Chase was a dick at times but you could see why, he just needed to have a bit more backbone he felt very flaky at times.

Mmmm I tried to read this one, but when they met and got together for the first time, they had sex without a condom, just because she said she was taking pills? Yeah, I didn`t buy that, it kill the book for me. Other thing it was that it took a eternity to talk about the paternety test, for me, she should start talking with him with that and no try to convince him only with her word, they only new each other for one night and she wanted he believed in her?

I didn't like it.
It was very aggravating to read chapter after chapter of the mmc saying and thinking that he wasn't the father of the fmc's baby. He never brought up getting a DNA test, the fmc had to do that.
His thought process made no sense to me, he's so upset that he can't have children and that he's infertile, yet he won't even consider that she's telling the truth. He doesn't want to pursue anything with her because he's infertile, then she's pregnant and he still doesn't want to pursue anything because he's infertile and she might leave him one day. Like what?? She literally is pregnant, so even if the baby wasn't his, she now has a child and wouldn't leave him one day because she can't be a mother. He never once considered being with her and raising baby as his own, his reasoning being that it would be unfair to take that away from the "real father".
If she hadn't been pregnant then they wouldn't have ended up together, they would never have even set eyes on each other again and with how he reacted when she told him she was pregnant I don't think she should have ended up with him, only once he had absolute proof that the baby was his did he believe her and decide to be with her.
What I got from this book was that the mmc wouldn't have been with her if she wasn't pregnant or if she was pregnant with someone else's kid, the only way he would be with her is if she was miraculously pregnant with his baby. The fmc and the connection he felt towards her didn't matter enough to him to pursue anything with her. P.

I couldn’t help myself, I fell in love with Chase Harker, a retired model, businessman and hunk and Kendall, a journalist who he meets while the two are in Applewood, Iowa by chance. He’s on a flight to Chicago when they have an emergency landing. She takes a bus from Chicago to visit her elderly aunt every few months. They meet up in a little movie theatre when he saves her from an obnoxious guy who becomes aggressive when she rebuffs his advances. Chase and Kendall enjoy each other’s company during the movie and wind up sharing an amazing one night sexual experience that changes them. Chase opens up to her after being something of a recluse for the last several years since his ex left him when he learns that he is sterile. Kendall hopes they can see each other as they both live in Chicago, but she is disappointed when she wakes in the morning only to discover a note from him without a phone number or plans requesting they meet up. Kendall had recognized Chase as the spokesperson on a car ad and looked up his name on the internet. Three months later she was glad for that info when she learns that Chase’s medical condition isn’t as it seems. The storyline was predictable, but oh so sweet when these two learn that it is possible for two strangers to have magical influence on each other and have them experiencing things they never dreamed possible.

What a refreshing story of two mature adults finding true love. At thirty years old Kendall has settled for a life that does not include a man or family. She feels if it was meant to happen it would have already. She is a kind and loving niece to her only family Aunt Mariel. On her visit to Applewood, Iowa to see her aunt she crosses paths with Chase. He is there temporarily due to engine failure on his way to Chicago. Kendall and Chase hit it off. Their chemistry is deliciously unexpected and reciprocated. They have one passionate night and poof Chase leaves without looking back. Chase fears intimacy after a failed relationship. He is burdened with a deeply emotional secret. Time flies and they both can't stop thinking of each other. Three months later it's imperative that Kendall get in touch with Chase. When she finally gets to talk to him everything goes wrong and yet their attraction to each other is as strong as ever. When Kendall finally tells him what is going on, he refuses to believe her. He opens up and tells her his painful secret. Awkwardly they settle on a solution. But Chase is waiting to be devastated while Kendall fears his rejection of the truth. This is a heartwarming story of romance, true love, affection, honesty and trust. I enjoyed reading this and do recommend it.

Kendall is a journalist that is on her way to visit her aunt back in her hometown in Iowa. Chase is a retired model and his flight has some issues so it has to land in Iowa for some repairs. He ends up going to this movie theatre and runs into Kendall as a man is harassing her. Chase steps in and helps get rid of the man and Kendall ends up watching the movie with him. Afterwards they go to a bar for a drink and that's when it hits her how she knows Chase. She considers doing a story on him but changes her mind and they end up having a hot night together. Chase doesn't do relationship anymore after his last one ended so badly so he sneaks out when he finds out he can catch an early flight out the next morning. Weeks later when Kendall learns that she's pregnant she doesn't know if she should let Chase know or not but her aunt convinces her that he needs to know. What will Chase do when he learns that he is going to be a father after being told he couldn't have a baby?
This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Congratulations must go to Holly Rayner, “The Baby Miracle” is a fan-blooming-tastic story that very well written with a unique storyline that is both heartwarming and heart breaking. I was absolutely hooked from beginning to end, not because I had to find out what was going to happen, but because I was desperate for this couple to find their happy ever after. The story is about Kendall and Chase. They meet when Chase’s plane is grounded due to a mechanical problem. It’s a story about coincidence, romance and eventually a love that defies belief and creates a miracle. I would be more than happy to give it 10 stars if I could, but I’ll have to be satisfied with highly recommending it to anybody who reads these reviews. While you’re reading this story you’ll smile and you’ll feel sad. You will feel Kendall’s fear and frustration and you will definitely feel Chase’s anger, fear and hope. I really hope you read this book, you won’t be disappointed because I just know you’ll love it as much as I did. I honestly think this is one of those books you’ll want to read again and again.

I am voluntarily writing this review for this book I received through Booksprouts arc.
Kendall was on her usual trip from Chicago to her hometown in Iowa.
She loved meeting new people on the bus ride. As a journalist she was trained to be curious. Chase had been with Ashley for a couple of years. They wanted to start a family together but he found out he was infertile and 3 months later Ashley left him. Kendall goes to a movie to pass the time it’s there that she met Chase as he came to her aid. Kendall and Chase spend the night together. Kendall finds out she is pregnant and Chase is the father. Kendall finds a way to tell him she has him to go to Tala though he thinks he was suppose to meet her boss for an interview. He proceeds to call Kendall a liar called and tells her that she should tell the real baby daddy. Chase keeps insinuating that there was no was that he could be the father and asks her if she wants money. Kendall was so upset that he would even think about her. He knew that the baby she is carrying is definitely not his he kept telling himself.

I recieved this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review
Holly's done another fantastic job with writing another great HEA.
Here we have journalist Kendall Wrightwood, who's away from Chicago visiting to get Aunt Mariel in Applewood & at the same time in the small cinema she meets young retired model Chase Harker who's in the same small town due to a diversion (who took himself out in front of the camera & for people to know who & what he was prior to his new life.)
These 2 seem to connect first off where Chase becomes in a way her saviour & they go off & do things they haven't done in a long while as they've been hurt by past partners. But things changes for them both & it's during this time of information I could've been swearing & blaspheming at him & more than likely give him a slap, (even if I did have some understanding) instead of being calm as Kendall is being here, though maybe she went about it the right way for things to go as smoothly as things can go...

I loved the story-line of this book. The topic of this book was infertility and how lives change due to this. There are no words to explain my feelings toward this book except that I’m glad someone touch the subject where the man suffers this condition, and how it affects them as well, but honestly everyone should believe in miracles.

Years later he meets Kendall, who happens to be a journalist, and they have a one-night stand which leaves her pregnant, because he didn’t use protection as he believes he is infertile. The book takes off after she tells Chase that he is going to be a father, but he refuses thinking that she is after money. This book does have a happy ending, but does Chase accept it or leaves Kendall to do this on her own.

He shares a one-night stand with Kendall Wrightwood, who is everything he'd ever want in a woman, but won't let himself have. When she shows up 4 months later with the news of her pregnancy, he wants to believe it but is afraid to let himself. He's been way too disappointed before.
Frankly, I'm surprised more writers don't take advantage of this trope. It has a built in conflict. Infertility and how that affects a romance is not often explored in romance and I really felt for Chase's profound sorrow and for Kendall confusion. (I mean, of course he's not infertile. He's the only candidate for baby daddy!) Holly Rayner's story is a short clean read, but full of agnst and surprisingly deep character development. Chase's sorrow was so real. He so wanted to believe Kendall was pregnant with his baby but medical science said it was impossible.

Kendall is a reporter from Chicago. She took a bus trip back to her hometown to visit her Aunt for a few days. Chase is a former Model, turned reclusive, Tech guru. While traveling back to Chigago his plane has issues, so they land in Kendall's hometown of Applewood. Chase meets Kendall at the movies, where she is being harrassed by another man, and saves her. They have an instant attraction, and end up spending the evening and night together. The next morning, when Kendall awakes, all she finds is a note that says goodbye. She thought the night meant more and they could have dated, but he left no number. Then, three months later she finds out she's pregnant, but she has no way of finding him. I don't want to give any more of the story up. It is such a sweet romance. Nothing is ever what it seems, and one thing about miracles...they happen when you least expect it!

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I absolutely loved this story about Kendall and Chase. Love had been rough on both of them. His ex girlfriend broke up with him after finding out he was infertile. When traveling back to Chicago his flight is delayed in Appleton, Iowa. Kendall is home visiting her aunt. Then she will return to Chicago to work some more. Deciding she needs a break, she heads to the Appleton movie theater. After a creepy guy bugs her, Kendall is rescued by Chase. One intriguing storyline and gripping plot hooks you from the start and reels you in for the duration. All the drama, uncertainty and suspense make for one enjoyable experience. Twists and turns abound with all the trials and tribulations that catapults this bad boy together beautifully. The characters are authentic, approachable and realistic with such depth and individuality its easy to relate. Kendall is a journalist. Kendall's publisher has her doing story's about what's trending or what she thinks is trend at the moment. Kendall works from home so Kendall goes to Applewood Iowa every chance she can to see her aunt Mariel that raised her sense her mother's passing. All Kendall wants is to get a big enough story to make a name for herself in the journalist world. Chase is a ex model that is now investing is money to make other peoples dreams come true. Chase is so heart broken on what his ex has done to him that he has closed himself off of any possibly love. Chase believes that he is infertile after seeing several doctors. A good read with a story that flowed well and with good writing. The two main male and female characters certainly felt an affinity for one another after their first day together. Fear was certainly a key trigger for both the main male and female characters. With the main female character, her main fear seemed to be "what if" scenarios and the main male character's fear seemed to be about letting go of absolutes and believing in the possibility of tomorrows. Very strong, empowered female, augmented by unwavering love and support of family. All did work out for the two main characters thanks to the tenaciousness and ingenuity of the main female character.

This was a heartwarming, emotional story about second chances, miracles, trust, and faith. Chase is a recluse bachelor billionaire who wants nothing more than to find love and have a family. Kendall is a journalist focusing on her career and allowing everything else to fall to the wayside. When these two meet attraction ignites and an instant connection is formed, but when one night of passion becomes a tiny little miracle neither expected but in their heart of hearts both want, will Chase be willing to accept his diagnosis was wrong? An emotionally captivating story filled with heartache, distrust, wit, laughter, passion, insta-connection, a miracle baby, and love. Readers will fall in love with Chase and Kendall. Definitely a quick read love story readers won't want to put down.

Romantic, romantic and a bit more romantic was how I felt during most of this story. But wow - what hardship to get there... lets not say any more so as not to spoil anything for other readers. But this story has a really good storyline and good characters. I had one quiestion in the latter part of the story, and that was what happened in reality for our leading hero to get those answears he got and how was the change that came about explained to him? Otherwise this story is just phenominal and I really loved it. I think I can really honestly say that this story is one of the better stories from this author and is thus getting a full house or five stars.

Each of them feels the connection between them and have a wonderful night together only for Kendall to wake up completely alone. Fast forward a few months and Chase is gone but Kendall realizes she's pregnant and the baby is his. How can that be since Chase believes he's infertile. Will he believe Kendall when she tells him the baby is his? Will this be his miracle baby? A great read I truly enjoyed.

Love at first sight.
Kendall is in Iowa visiting her aunt when she decides she needs a night out. Being a small town the only thing to do is go to the movies. Chase is on his way back to Chicago when they have plane trouble and have to land in Iowa. It’s too early for bed so he wanders around town and ends up at the movies. As he’s trying to decide where to sit he happens on a woman being harassed by some guy and comes to her rescue. They end up talking and find they are both in Chicago. They continue the evening stopping for drinks and end up in his hotel room. Both are adults and agree to a one night stand. Neither realize what a life changing moment this is.
The author keeps you involved and the story moving. I found myself yelling at the characters as well as laughing and crying.

They each have their own baggage they are carrying. She is there visiting her aunt and dealing with hers. He is there taking time for himself among other things. They meet and hit it off. And one thing leads to another and they spend the night together and then he pulls a disappearing act. She finds out she is pregnant but when she tells him she is he does not believe her. He says he can't have any but then they have a paternity test and she is right. But there is so much hurt and things that have passed through can they fix it? I recommend it.
