Rate this book
**Don't miss this final installment of T. S. Joyce's bestselling New Tarian Pride series.**

Annamora Fredrickson is turning a new leaf. Four months ago, she saw a picture of herself that made her determined to change her whole life. She’s a shifter on a mission, and nothing can stand in her way…except for perhaps one person. One hot as fire, smooth-talking heir to the Deadlies throne, Orion Burge. It doesn’t matter that he is way out of her league, her little heart has had a crush on him since their time with the Old Tarian Pride. Only she’s not as smooth as she was back then, and she’s messing up every opportunity to talk to him. While she’s falling hard for the quiet monster, Orion has a big destiny that is looming right in front of him, and the more secrets she finds out about him, the more she realizes that destiny does not include her.

Orion is headed right for a storm. He’s killed the last Alpha of the Deadlies Pride, and now it’s his time to take it over. There’s only one tie that has him lingering with the New Tarian Pride though, and that’s one shy, awkward, sometimes-witty, always-charming Annamora. Does she even know all of the secret ways he’s protected her? And he’s not done yet. Now he owes it to her to protect her one last time…from himself.

Content Warning: Explicit love scenes, naughty language, and piles of sexy shifter secrets. Intended for mature audiences.

This was so good!

I have to be honest, this wasn't my favorite series. It lacked something for me. However, this final book was perfect. It had some angst, but not overly done. What I really loved was the camaraderie with the pride. Not to mention seeing the old friends. There was the perfect balance of light for the dark. It had me laughing and reaching for tissues.

I liked this one, but really didn't feel the romance between Orion and Anna, it seemed more of a friendship, which worked for me. I liked that each were able to bring comfort to the other in the bad times and how cute they were now. Both so wanted more, but were afraid to reach for it. Anna was such a dork, in the best way, which seemed to endear her to Orion. I think the lightness Anna brought with her dorky ways was just what Orion needed to lighten up his life.

Well this was an amazing end to the Tarian pride but I hope its the start of the deadlies.

Annamora is now my girl crush. Omg I love her. She is awkward but adorable while being one of my favourite female characters ever.
Orion is the prides protector and the perfect lion for Anna.

Such a great read. I laughed, I cried, I ooo'd, I ah'd and then I did it all again.

Well done T.

I feel like this is the book I've been waiting for the entire Tarian series. I loved Anna and Orion. Maybe I'm partial to really awkward characters, but they are so relatable to me. We got to see their relationship grow and they had some hard decisions to make along the way.

I feel like we also got to see more of the cute and funny banter between the pride members than we've seen in the previous books. It was always the community in the crews/prides/packs that set this authors books way above the rest, and I'm glad we finally got it in this book at the end.

While I freaking LOVE Beaston, I don't think he was necessary in this story. I think it was kind of a cheap plot pusher to use him and a "prophecy" to connect the two of them together and get Anna moving to help Orion at the end. I'm pretty sure she would have done it anyway.

I do have to say that I really really hope that she travels down the Deadlies road because dang, I'm half in love with those three "morons" already.

This book didn't disappoint and as usual I finished it in a day. I look forward to the next series and where she will take us next.

**And as someone who grew up in the Asheville area, I might have laughed out loud when I read they were going to Maggie Valley. That's not a place people usually go unless they want to see the old ghost town or on their way to Cherokee. It was wonderful to see it as a place in these books though.**

OMG 😲 T.S. Joyce you slay me ... Everything you write is awesome but this story hits you in the feels... Their story has hope... Loss... And rebirth.... There are no words to adequately relate how this story touched my heart ... If you haven't read a T.S. Joyce book you are missing out...

Every single thing that T. S. Joyce writes is amazing and this book is no exception. The final book in the New Tarian Pride series left me smiling and happy. I am hoping we now delve into the Uglies and meet some new incredible men and their mates.

Tarian traitor

I definitely enjoyed these books more as the series went on. The first two felt rushed and this one didn’t. I was able to appreciate the story more and enjoy it. I’m happy that Orion was upfront with Anna about having to leave from the start. I’m happy they were able to figure out a way to end up together

There are many individual stories from the many series that make up Damon’s Mountains universe, they have all touched me for different reasons – and Orion and Anna from TARIAN TRAITOR will be added to that unique group of mine. I’ve never hidden the fact that I love anything and everything that T. S. Joyce has written but this story of an Alpha who didn’t want to be and one awkward survivor coming together to form that perfect for them couple is amazing – and will remain a favorite for a long time.

If you’ve followed the series you already know that Orion killed his father, the corrupt, brutal, evil Alpha of the Deadlies Pride. What has become obvious is that Orion is hanging around the New Tarian Pride for several reasons. His sister, his reluctance to take over as Alpha to a sick, brutal Pride and one awkward, charming in her own unique way woman who he has protected and watched over for so long. They are about to move their relationship to another level and it’s going to be funny, sad, painful, joyful and so satisfying to follow them on that journey.

I don’t want to say more than the obvious for this final story in the New Tarian Pride series should be enjoyed firsthand, not through another’s words. I loved Anna and Orion individually and together. It was pure joy, for me, to run into so many beloved characters as this series wraps up. Intense battle scenes, soft lover’s conversations it all comes together in one of the best final stories in these series that I’ve enjoyed so much over the years. So, yes, for me this story was heartfelt and I loved every single moment spent in this universe once again.

I hope we return to this unique universe soon for I don’t believe all the stories of Damon’s Mountains have been told just yet.

I read Tarian Traitor through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

So Much More!!!

Annamora "Anna" Frederickson was one the Old Tarian Alpha's concubines. She was shy but a little bit of a smarty-pants as well. She has had a crush on Orion Burge since the first time she saw him. The sexy as sin man was out of her league yet that didn't stop her heart from wanting him. Now a member of the New Tarian Pride, she decided to turn her life around. She was falling hard and fast for him but he was destined for something greater.

Orion Burge had a secret that could get him killed if the New Tarian Pride ever found out. He was next in line to take over as Alpha of the Deadlies now that his father was no more. His Lion had been acting up for some time now and he didn't know what to do to keep him steady.

One thing he knew for certain was that he was falling head over heels with Annamora. The latter has caught his eyes for quite some time. She was timid, sassy and just a wee awkward, in other words she was the one for him. He had been protecting her for so long, unknown to her now he was willing to walk away to protect her from him.

Anna and Orion saw each other in ways no one else could. When the chips were down, she did everything in her power to protect her mate. It was a delightful treat to see some old characters making appearances and meeting you ones.

TARIAN TRAITOR is the fifth and final book in T. S. Joyce's NEW TARIAN PRIDE series. OMG what a magnificent way to end this mind-blowing series. T. S. Joyce outdid herself with this book. I recommend you all start reading this series. Two thumbs up!

This is the fifth book in this series. While they can be read as standalone books, I think they are so much better read in order. Annamora is shy and a little clumsy. She is trying to move forward from what happened while the girls were with the old Tarian pride. She is growing and loving herself more every day. Orion is in a spot himself. He killed his father and now he is the alpha of the Deadlies even if he doesn’t want to be. He was told as a child that this would be his future. There is just something about Annamora. Orion has always watched her and followed her. He finds himself drawn to her. He knows she deserves better than he can ever give her but that doesn’t change the way he feels about her. Annamora thinks Orion is way out of her league but what she wouldn’t give to be with him. Is there a way for them to be together? Maybe they are meant to be together. To help each other. Could Annamora be the light Orion needs to see? I can’t say enough about this book. I was laughing so hard one minute and the next so sad for both Orion and Annamora. T.S. Joyce does such a fantastic job. I can’t wait to read her next book. I pick them up and read them without ever reading the blubs anymore. I can’t recommend her books enough.

Heart and Hilarity

TS Joyce is the pinnacle of creatively heart-crushing tales. And a prime example of this is found in her latest book, Tarian Traitor.

So, let’s get to the nitty gritty. This gurl is HYSTERICAL!!!

Her ’TS Joycisms’ are as unique as she is. Her damaged shifters are explosive emotional bombs, that chain react to each other.

Words, that I KNOW I will never see or hear again, pummel our hearts and make our guts ache, with joy and pain and laughter and CARE.

We care so much because we can read just how much this author cares about her characters.

Now, what does that actually mean?

SHE LOVES US! She loves us so much that she writes her heart out to us in each and every one of her books. I know, because I have invested my time and money and I have read them ALL.

I think that the highest recommendation you can give to an author is to share your own love of their work, so others can feel blessed by their heartfelt work.

Please make your world a better place and open your heart up to ANY and EVERY book you can read by T!

Traitor or hero?

Kindle unlimited purchase
By T. S. Joyce
Sorry to say this is the last book in "this" series. But Knowing Joyce this WILL not be the last time you hear from the wonderful world she has built. We have read series about bears, gorillas, dragons, now the lions have their turn. 5 great stories about five GREAT LIONS!
Orion is a traitor he killed his father. He thought he would have longer, that he wouldn't have to go back to the Deadlies. But when he killed his father he became the alpha. He has put it off as long as he can.
Annamora isn't BROWN. Nope. Brown was boring, overlooked. And that wasn't her, not anymore.
I enjoyed reading about Annamora, seeing her change, her grow into the lion queen she was meant to be.
I hope Joyce writes a series about the NEW DEADLIES, they deserve their happy ending with everything they put up with from their Alpha. Traitor or hero?
Sorry but I recommend this book for 18 years and up because of the sexual and violence continent.

When protective alpha Orion Burge crossed awkward Annamora Fredrickson’s path, he became her reason for happiness though it was during one of the worst periods of her life. Bookending a recent battle with the Deadlies pride two things happened, Annamora started a self-improvement campaign and Orion became Alpha of the Deadlies.

Deadlies Alpha was a role Orion dreaded especially since he and Anna were moving past friendship and the new pride would not be a good home for her. Meanwhile, Anna’s upset because not only would Orion be leaving her behind, her friends didn’t support her choice of mate.

Anna and Orion were kinda cute in this short and each was likeable but their relationship felt more like best friends with benefits than a romance. On second thought they were very cute. That said, while this sub-series isn’t the worst, it didn’t live up to the legacy established by many of the earlier outings, though touchbacks were wedged in..

Orion and Anna

This KU library selection is a wonderful addition to the New Tarian Pride series. Joyce has a way of making each book new and captivating, in spite of the number of books that have come before (or perhaps because of). The characters come to life in the page and I always want more when each book ends.
This book features Orion and Annamora, an unlikely couple, even to Sora, Orion's sister. Orion defeated and killed his father, an abusive lion, when the alpha and his crew attacked the New Tarian Pride in the previous book. Now Orion's the absent alpha of the Deadlies, but Beaston has seen that the Deadlies are Orion's future. So he has no choice but to return to them, leaving the one lioness he wants to protect the most behind. But Annamora has ideas of her own about what protection really means. And she's not the weak lion every one believes her to be.

*Warning* Explicit love scenes, language, and violence
Orion the lion shifter killed the alpha of the Deadlies to help ensure the safety of the New Tarian pride. The Deadlies dead alpha was Orion's father and by killing him, that makes Orion the new Deadlies alpha. Just when Orion was happy, he had to be responsible.
Anna is a bottom of the barrel lion shifter, but that doesnt mean she doesn't see how gorgeous Orion is. Anna knows Orion is way out of her league, but she can still look, still ramble uncontrollably around him, still look like a complete fool, yeah that happens.
Joyce gives us another wonderful story here and brings in the originals for a cameo appearance. The story shows integrity with Orion giving up everything to take on a responsibility he never wanted. It a love conquers all, action filled, PNR that any adult fan would like.

Best book yet!

So much about this story I loved. It made me laugh. Annamora was so funny and quirky. I just love her. Orion was perfect in his response to her. This book was the perfect ending to the Tarian books. The fact that Dark showed up with everyone to save the day and protect Orion was icing on the book cake. I enjoy T. S. Joyce's writing so much. I fall in love with her characters. Annamora is one of my favorites because she's not perfect. She's ok with that and accepts that. Everyone should be like Annamora except no so clumsy. Lol I never think you can too the book I just finished reading and yet somehow you seem to manage to find a way to go above my expectations. The humor in this book was fantastic. I needed the laughs and I appreciate them. Best love story yet!!!

"He’s like a majestic, studly unicorn, and I’m like the three-legged hamster who’s escaped its cage and gotten lost in the wilderness and just keeps screaming for someone to save it—”

T.S. Joyce knocks this one out of the park. Rarely do I recall laughing out loud during any books and I can tell you that I did for this one! Anna is such a sweet yet quirky woman! Orion is loyal and self sacrificing!

There are two scenes that jump to my mind that I want to tell you about but it would give too much away. Let just say there is a scene with Orion reading that makes me cry, and I can count on one hand the number of times that I have cried during a romance novel! T.S. Joyce also has a scene that I loved cause we got to see some of the oldie but goodies!

I think this book is now in my top 5 favorites by T.S. Joyce!

Again, 5 Stars

Who doesn’t love a man that makes you feel special, shows you kindness, attention and makes you feel sexy and attractive. That is what Orion did for Anna. He made her not feel invisible anymore. Orion the sexy quiet man and Anna the beautiful mysterious invisible woman. Their paths cross by accident, but after that it is nonstop flirting, fumbling and bumbling, awkward moments and an amazing little sex scene that made you feel like you were in the room watching it. TS I am not sure where you get your ideas from but I love it. She has the uncanny ability to write scenes that have actually happened in real life. There were a few typos but one can overlook that because this was a great ending to the Tarian series. This is a record for me as I have read literally the entire series in 1 week. Great story, great writing, great character growth in but Anna and Orion (He went home to be the Alpha of the Deadlies pride). Oh btw Anna was just as funny as Katy and it worked for both of them!!

DAMON’S MOUNTAINS SERIES REVIEW

I wasn’t planning on reviewing these books at all, but given the fact that I’ve been completely OBSESSED with them for the past month, it feels wrong not to write something. So in the end I decided to write a general series-wide review that I’ll put up on each book because that’s how much fun I’ve had reading these.

Let’s do this.

OKAY listen. These books are straight up trash. They are. Romance drama trash to the max. But there’s no denying how freaking entertaining these things are. They’re hilariously funny, extremely cute, filled with action (some more than others), and packed with grade-A soap opera drama. Some of the novels are better than others, but if you need to go brainless for a while and just read something fun, these are the books you need.

All the characters are out-of-this world awesome, but the real thing that sets this series apart is the world building. Joyce has created such an elaborately rich universe with all these characters and I am 100% here for it. I love love love how everything overlaps and that we get to see all of our favorite characters even long after their books are done.

To help keep everyone straight, I even created a family tree spreadsheet like a NERD (Willa would be so proud) which you can view here. Just beware of spoilers.

Nerd alert!

FINAL WORD

These books are insane trash and I’ve loved every second. If you’re needing some laughs and romance, look no farther my friends. It’s worth the Amazon Kindle Unlimited free trial just to get your hands on these.

Tarian Traitor

Another awesomely awkward MFC. She's delightful and hilarious.

“She’d never seen the man blush, but he looked uncomfortable as hell right now. Making people uncomfortable was basically her only skill.”

And

“He’s like a majestic, studly unicorn, and I’m like the three-legged hamster who’s escaped its cage and gotten lost in the wilderness and just keeps screaming for someone to save it—”

She has so many great lines. And he just loves her weirdness.

I always appreciate visiting with previous main characters - Beaston, Dark Kane, and the different characters from the different mountains. The day at the flea market was sweet and this interaction with the cop the day after her night in jail was adorable,

“It’s not stealing if I warn you that I’m going to do it. Then every time I look at this pen, I will remember our night together.”

Orion and Annamora😍

Since the war with the Old Tarian Pride and the Deadlies, Orion has known his days in Tarian territory is limited. After killing his father, he is yet to take his place as the rightful Alpha. He knows he has to do it but he only sees darkness in his future, that is unless she’s around, she brings light to his life❣️

Annamora has been trying to turn over a new leaf with her new life amongst the Tarian Pride. She’s always had a crush on Orion but believes he is way out of her league and that he wouldn’t want an awkward not so graceful lioness.

Loved this story and so sad to see the end of this series but it was great seeing some cameos from some of our old favourites💕 A must read author and series😁

In my head I am jumping up and down as this book was so friggin good! I didn’t stop reading it till I was at the end!

T is always good with getting all the feels into her stories and this one does not disappoint in any way! The laugh factor in this one though almost had me peeing my pants!

When a T series comes to an end you take a moment and just reflect on the gift this particular author has for writing such a spectacular series!

Orion and Anna are just great characters that bring out all the feels for and about each other! Their friends and family just give it that little something extra! Plus T is great with sometimes adding some surprises in her stories and this one is no exception!

Very enjoyable but lacking romance between Annamora and Orion.
They had a great sweet friendship but never felt that tip over into love.
The author never even hinted at these two being interested in each other in the previous books.
Anna was just so cute and quirky, her awkwardness was lovely.
Orion just didn’t come across as alpha-ish enough. He was an alpha but I didn’t feel it till right at the end.
Felt the ending was lacking. Did Dark Kane end all the attacking, cheating shifters. Needed just a bit more information.
Having Beaston do his thing in their young lives was good.
Not sure I can read about the Deadlies, just a bit over insane and crazy characters for the time being.
Read through Kindle Unlimited.

O. M. G!!!!

I LOVE this series!!! It has quickly become one of my absolute favorite worlds to live in!!! Actually all of the series connected to this one as well!!! But I've loved Orion and Annamora from the first Tarian book they appeared in. He was always the Protector of the women. None of the girls would have survived Cassius without Orion. But this love story did just what other readers said: I laughed, I cried, my heart broke. I always get scared at the end, because I'm afraid there won't be another spin off, and that will be the end!!! I hope it never ends!!! What's next? Deadlies Pride Series? Hope so!!!!!

What an ending.

This book gave every single feeling possible.
Laughter, awkwardness, love, devotion, tears, happiness.

I wanted to savour the ending of the Tarian Pride, but honestly I couldn't put it down.
Annamora was 🔥 he wit and awkwardness was utterly adorable and what she was willing to do for those she loved was also everything. Orion was alright too, but for me Anna was the star of this book, the show stopper, the one to pull out all the stops, even if that included a vist from the end of days himself.

That was not the dragon I expected.
There is so many thing that can be written here, but I don't wanna give away the story. I'm in awe of this ending simple.

Awesome!!!

Loved it. Simple Annamora form Tarian Pride found her mate in Orion of the Deadlie. Man this was a love story that started when they were both in the Old Tarian Pride, unbeknownst to them at the time that they were meant for each other. I love how Beastian came by In the picture, it seems he's always there predicting something, fate as they say is something bound to happen..And our old friend of the Blackwing crew was they to give a helping hand as well, with Weston Novak too. I love when the Old crews shows up to help out..sure hope this is not the end though...big fan Winzie19💞☺.
