Explore the world of Gaia like never before. Uncover new secrets, learn its magic, and discover the destiny that awaits our gifted students of the elements. It's themselves.
Many thanks to Anonymous for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review
I have basically the same thoughts I did for book one...
Aside from a few minor grammatical errors, this book (and book one) is very well written and I just know that fantasy readers are going to love it! That said, I am not a fantasy reader so I don't think I'll be continuing with this series.
Let me make it clear that it is not because this series is poorly written or boring. It's simply because I am not the intended reader. I absolutely recommend this series for anyone who loves fantasy!
Book of Fire will take you on an even more thrilling journey than the previous book. It is never a full moment with S'rae and the gang! You will be enchanted with GroundStone, the School of Earth, and all its natural (ha ha) beauty.
I can say with certainty that this book really stands out on its own as well as a continuation to an exciting tale. I find that most sequel books tend to be slow and boring, but not this book. Book of Fire is nicely paced, well thought out, and full of both fighting action, comedy and a dash of romance.
What I love most about this book is the character development. S'rae as the main protagonist of the story undergoes many ups, downs and twisting revelations. It's with these experiences that she grows wiser and strong in her gifts. There are a ton of new and refreshing faces that I really enjoyed while reading this book. No character felt dull.
The plot from start to finish was really good! I was always excited to learn more, and squeled a few times at the unexpected twists! You will never want to put this book down. I certainly couldn't!
A phenomenal story that keeps getting better and better!!
I received a complimentary copy of this ebook from the author in exchange for an honest review.
S'rae and friends are back in a brand new adventure. When S'rae is chosen to attend the groundstone school to try and get her Sol animal companion as well as find the fire within in her, dark forces fight against her and try to end her life. Can S'rae get strong enough to save her world and herself from a catastrophic tragedy? Read on and find out for yourself.
This was a great installment of the Legends of Eve series. If you loved the Avatar the last Airbender series, definitely check this book series out. It is now available to get on Amazon now.
Amazing! This series in on fire! I loved book 1 so much, but book 2 is even better. The characters are are so captivating. The world building in the GroundStone world is amazing. I often felt like I had been fully pulled into the book and was actually experiencing everything for myself. I can’t wait for this book to be released so I can talk to more people about everything! 😍
The Legend of Eve: Book of Fire (A Warrior’s Past, #2) Author: Anonymous Publishers: DreamWords Publishing Genre: YA Fantasy Source: e-arc copy sent by the author mybookishvibes rates: ⭐⭐⭐⭐. 8 / 5
I thought for so long on how to describe this book after I finished reading it but I’m still at a loss for words. As it was so hard to write a review for the Book 1, it’s been harder to express my thoughts and all that I felt while reading the sequel of one of my best read of last year. And I’m most certainly a big fan of the author and his writings so I’m quite not sure if I would be able to write an unbiased review for this book. In this Book of Fire, there was just so much to process and a lot that has happening after S’rae and all the others enter the Groundstone, the School of Earth. While still accepting her brother’s betrayal, S’rae and the others are set to train themselves using their elements if they wanted to stand a chance against the rising doom, the shadow army. From the Valley of Gaia to the Groundstone and S’rae’s time in Groundstone and her journey in this sequel had been the most exciting. Discovering all the wonders and secrets of being an earthy has always been S’rae’s dream and this book is the start of the unraveling of S’rae’s hidden powers. As the story starts in the beautiful and most enchanting lands of Groundstone where S’rae is determined to find herself a Sol of her own and that’s only possible if she becomes a student of Groundstone knowing its forbidden to master two elements by the laws made by Fujitas. While Gabrael has plans of his own for each of the remaining Chosen ones to prepare them for something that no-one could fathom, an enemy they’ve known and perhaps something unknown. And Retro’ku must do everything to undo what he had seen in his vision when they realize the true enemy is the one they could have never imagined of. But it’s Fear that they must overcome now. As Vayp and Destrou both have to make the ultimate decision and that decision can alone destroy or save the world with their fates. In this Book of Fire, the author has illustrated and redefined the story into something quite more captivating for the readers. I loved how the story progressed in this book, so many more new characters were introduced from Groundstone and from S’rae’s past. From the start to the end of this book I was so enthralled and it was hard to put down the book. If it’s possible I fell more in love with this series and this journey after reading this book. For the first part of the story I was so very confused and unsure of who to trust or not because the real betrayer was among them and even though S’rae’s character annoyed me a lot in the first, I loved how much she developed throughout this book and the others as well. Fujak and Destrou had my whole heart while I cried for Hans’ael (yes, he’s HERE) and Ranmau all the while. Retro’ku and Gabrael’s characters were the most confusing for me and I hope to know more about Retro’ku in the future books and as for Lynn, I still have no idea how to think of her character. And there was chemistry omg I wish I could ship one character with a single one but it’s too hard to when I shipped S’rae with Retro’ku first and then with Fujak and now idk who to ship with anyone except for Fujak and Reyna …… And of-course how can I forget about all the amazing Groundstone Professors even though I’m not sure if I should disclose their name as it’d be a BIG Spoiler because I won’t be able to stop talking about them and Groundstone after that as I’m certain to say this book will be my favorite of all even after the series is complete or at least I think it still will be but knowing the author’s magic I won’t bet on it. And for the parts of Destrou’s story, I waited anxiously and loved every single chapter of them. But all I’m gonna say is Destrou isn't the same as he was in the first book and honestly his and Ranmau’s relationship was what affected me the most. I just wanted to wrap them both in my arms and protect them from the chilly village and from everyone I just love them two so much ☹ “When the mind tells someone they’re done, they’re only halfway there.” This book truly was the author’s work at its finest as we get to learn so much from this sequel from the start and the way it has changed my perspective, this book was a real masterpiece. While reading the first book I had so many questions and confusions about the world of Gaia and all its secrets and in this book, I had thought of finally finding some answers and that I did, I found all the answers that I wanted but now I’m left with so many more questions that I never imagined. If the first book was an alluring flicker this sequel is a complete engulfing fire and I’m afraid if the third book will leave us all in shambles or give us a new hope after the explosive twists and turns but one thing I’m certain is this story is something you wouldn’t want to miss for life.
Ratings: And all that I want to say is I’m truly in love with this world of Gaia and this journey, I cannot wait to find out more and for the next books in this series. I’d probably reread this book again after the release of the next one because I don’t want miss out on even the tiniest of details.
Book of Fire picks up shortly after A Warrior’s Past ends. Vayp has been whisked away to the realm of the Shadow Army, and the remaining survivors of the Mecha attack have traveled to GroundStone, the school of Earth. While Retro’ku was able to complete the fire challenge and add his orb to the Book of Eve, Vayp’s departure means that there isn’t someone powerful enough left to complete the Earth challenge. That leaves S’rae - but she needs to train first and truly master the element of Earth.
I loved the concept of GroundStone! A school devoted to protection and nature, everything about this location was dedicated to nature. From the bed made of branches and vines to the “rain shower,” I really enjoyed all of the natural aspects that GroundStone contained. This was also where the greatest Harry Potter references came into play. There are various classes teaching everything from defense to Sols, and the professors for each class are written to embody their subject. S’rae experiences the Trust Fall (similar to the Sorting Hat but this determines the specific Earth element that students will study). There’s the Boulder Dash game. And there’s even a Solermony ball.
But don’t be fooled - Book of Fire isn’t an adaptation of Harry Potter! The plot is still very unique and retains it’s “circular history” plot, although the hints are much more subtle here in book two. A few characters experience deja vu, and readers are still treated to Destrou’s story as Vayp reads it. I really enjoyed these sections because I loved Destrou’s story in book one and needed to know what came next for him and Ranmau. What’s exciting is that their story only gets more exciting here in book two! I’m curious how much more there is to their backstories before it fully catches up with the present.
We also see some great character development out of S’rae and Fujak. Fujak has already started to mature just from the events at the end of book one, and due to the danger he’s put in throughout book two, we see his real colors start to shine. I’ve definitely joined team Fujak, and I hope that he becomes an important leader later in this series because he definitely has the mentality for it. S’rae... she goes through even more. I loved the first chapter flashback of her origins. All book one I was asking where she came from and why her home town of Opella matters so much to her, and chapter one delivered those answers. We also hear more about S’rae and Vayp’s childhood in a very epic scene! Through loss and heartbreak, S’rae is being forced to develop and figure out who she is, and OMD the cliffhanger at the end of book two sets her character up for so much more in the books to come.
I’d say the only places where Book of Fire fell short were in location descriptions. Because GroundStone was so large, at times I couldn’t tell where certain parts were in relation to the others. There was a school, an arena, a forest, underground tunnels, a forest...! And then characters didn’t get around by walking - they had a Sandsportation spell which transported them to their destinations.
Thank you so much to Anonymous for this arc copy of Legends of Eve: Book of Fire. The story is dynamic and fun, and it’s easy to tell how much thought Anonymous puts into each character and plot line. I’m sad that I now have to wait a year or so for book three, but it will definitely be worth the wait!
I read the ARC for the first book, and I'm returning for the sequel. I'd say it's a solid 4.5/5 stars, and I'm leaning more towards 5 stars knowing that the copy I've read is a first draft.
Overall, I'd say that the story is very entertaining. It was definitely a fun and interesting read, so if you liked the first book, you'll probably enjoy this one as well. Each character feels unique in their own right with bits and pieces of backstory revealed in some great scenes. The internal conflicts and parallels made between character relationships are probably my favorite part of the series. What comes to mind is the focus on siblings who used to be very close but had a falling out (Destrou/Ranmau and S'rae/Vayp), and how each pair deals with their past differently. Another thing that I enjoyed is the world-building. Magic schools and the four elements are pretty common in fantasy, but the author did a good job of giving the world a unique feeling. The spells and combat have a lot of potential, it's easy to imagine colorful, action-packed scenes. Many things are still left up for interpretations and guessing while waiting for the next books, so that's a great way to keep readers invested. The reveals were interesting. The character development that both Destrou and Ranmau undergo after the climax of the first book is fascinating, and definitely makes me root even more these two brothers. The way the boys are all trapped within the system and how the stakes are just the lives of the main characters make this part of the story more intimate.
As I mentioned, this is a first draft so a lot of mistakes are understandable and very much fixable. With that in mind, I am willing to overlook some minor issues I've had like typos, punctuation and flow. Another thing was the pace at which some things were revealed, but since I want to keep this review relatively spoiler-free I won't go into detail.
All in all, the author delivered a great sequel. This series has potential, so give it a try if you're into fantasy, magical schools and large-scale epic adventures. I'll be waiting for the sequels.
If you loved book 1, I hope you're ready for book 2, it's way more than book 1, it dives straight into the meat of the story, and will have you salivating for more as things get even jucier! Whoops, my inner Han'sael is coming out! 😂😋
What I'm trying to get at is that I found myself taking longer than normal to read the Legands of Eve: Book of Fire because I was savoring the awesome world building of GroundStone and all the fun new Earthie characters! I would go back to re-read parts that made me laugh, or parts that made me wish I was a student GroundStone so I could experience the amazing classes and of course the moment I would meet my Sol! I loved the Boulder Dash game, the challenges in the Colosseum were all so epic, and the way GroundStone is so intune with nature had me thinking of the vivid world of Avatar as I imagined the houses sprouted from seeds and I wondered which house I'd be in and how fun it would be to be connected with nature like that!
I did find it hard to put down as things began to unravel. The different perspectives bouncing between S'rae, Fujak, Vayp and the Destrou/Ranmau story continuing, this book never had any slumps or made me feel bored, it was quite the opposite! With each perspective change, I felt that I had to read faster to get to the next part to see what happens next!
Another fun thing I noticed was that the Author took names from his fans on Instagram who had taken the quiz and were placed in GroundStone school and had shared their names along with what kind of Sol they would have. It was fun to see my own GroundStone name, J'Sea along with my bestie Di'Tukia! What an amazing way to pay tribute to your fans, by bringing them into the story is just so creative and fun! I wasn't expecting that and was blown away as I recognized more and more names of fans of this series! That alone had me in awe as I was reading this book!
The twists and turns by the end of this book had my head spinning and by the end I felt like I needed book 3 already! Definitely can't wait to see what will happen next!
However, I did not think it was possible to love this world and it's characters any more than I already did, but after reading Book Two, I've come to realize anything is possible!
From the very first page, I was instantly drawn back into this beautiful world and taken on an epic journey that had me feeling as if I were there walking along side the characters. So many feels....(all the feels)!
And OMD, talk about plot twists. I did not see that coming!
This is a journey you do not want to miss out on! Trust me.
I for one can not wait to see where we go next! Bring on Book Three!
Alright I just finished my ARC of this book and gotta say that I absolutely loved it. The first book blew me away with suck an amazing world and this one somehow managed to get even better. This book kept me interested to the point that I hated have to stop reading, it was such a page turner! The world managed to grow even more and the characters grew into something more fascinating as well. My only real complaint about this book is so minor but I feel it’s worth mentioning, why does everyone cry so much lol. I know it’s a obviously an emotional time but whatever I guess, like I said a minor thing that doesn’t affect my view of this great novel! Can’t wait for book 3!
It’s always hard to review a book that’s next in a series!
All I can say is.... READ this series!
I think that speaks for itself. I don’t think you will be disappointed!
This author has created a world that will always be remembered. Everything is sensational from the plot, characters, story line, even to the pacing of the story.
What an amazing journey it was, reading Book of Fire. I'm quite lost for words.
I can go on and on saying how this book was interesting, funny, captivating, stunning, awesome etc. But if anyone would ask me why, I'd probably talk all day, and this review will stretch so much it would pass the character limit. So I will try to compress it as best as I could.
Ahh where do I even start?
Book of Fire is so well composed; the plot is fascinating, the world building is awesome, the characters' personalities are so different and unique. I really enjoyed reading all of them. If someone asked me while I was reading the first book, who my favorite character is, I would never say Fujak. But reading the second one I completely changed my mind. My currently favorites are Fujak and Ranmau. I just love them both, their courage, their mental strength, their wisdom and prudence, their unselfishness. Their every act was measured and reasoned and whatever they do it is for the benefit of the loved ones (I just pray that it stay that way; I don't want to ruin this feeling about them. Because what this book thought me is to never trust anyone or anything). I was really pleasantly surprised to see the characters' development, how they are nicely described and it was refreshing to read how they cope with life turmoil and how they evolve.
The stay at the GroundStone was so thrilling and exciting. The nature there is so beautiful and energizing. You can imagine the lush and vibrant flora, the colorful creatures and feel the warmth of that serene place.
When it comes to the plot, there is so much to say. First of all, I really admire the variety of the stories that are put in one book. The reader have the chance to meet all the main characters on a deeper level; to know their feelings, thoughts, motives. And I really appreciate that. It helps me to understand them more, to engage and connect with them more, and to create my own opinion about them and their actions. That is when we meet characters as a little kids and read about some significant part from their life that helps us to perceive the whole plot better but also to link with the characters, to feel for them.
As the plot is fast paced, there is not a single page that doesn't include something important; you have to be fully focused to not miss anything. Maybe for my taste it is a bit too fast at some points. Sometimes I just like to savor it all,to feel the moment, to let it settle, but nonetheless, I really loved it. It gives me that motion effect in my head; that everything is happening so fast stresses the urgency of the situation, which does make sense. And not to mention all that jaw-dropping, staggering plot twists. Some of them are completely unforeseen.
And what I can't evade but to mention is the amusing and funny monologues of some characters and humor overall. It gives the book the personality and the soul. I really appreciate that; reading those parts would really brighten my day. Thank you, author.
What I would like to see more in the book is the psychological states of mind and characters relationships. Although this is so well done throughout the book, especially in chapters about the Village and Destrou, but at some parts it lacks. I don't want to spoil anything, but I'm a bit angry at S'rae at one point, when she forgot about one person that cared for her. Maybe it is just me, but I can't help it. I forgave her though and of course still like her. <3
And oh boy, how I cherished and rejoiced Destrou and Ranmau chapters. I love everything about it. I appreciate the brothers love that was so delicately described, and I'm sure there not a single person that could stay cold-hearted and not feel related at some point. These chapters are buried so deep in my heart-so well protected. I love how their story teach us about love, friendship, kindness, support, courage, the power of forgiveness, power of never giving up, believing in oneself and so much more.
And to not make this way too long, I would like to summarize by saying that this book is surely something special, and I can't wait to see how it grows into something grand and unique. And I hope I would continue being part of that journey.
And at the end, does anyone know where squirrel B'se is?
Just for information I recieved this book as an ARC.
I loved the first book, the world building, the magic, the plot, the characters everything was quite unique. So after the events of book one, Lynn, S'rae, Fujak, Gabrael and Retro'ku are in Groundstone. S'rae are focused on getting her Sol and following classes because she feels like she belong here. The Shadows are now a real threat and her and Lynn and Fujak need to learn how to control fire. Vayp is mad at S'rae like mad after what he learned in book one. And we have the continuation of Destrou story.
I loved this one as much as book 1 ! The story is getting bigger and we see bigger state and we are introduced to new characters which I loved. S'rae is still my fav, I love her even some of her behavior in this book annoyed, like how she acted sometimes towards her friends and her relationship with a new character (I was a bit uncomfortable reading it to be honest), but also her obsession with getting a Sol I was heartbroken for her but it was a bit repetitive. But I get it, we see another side of her personality and she is such an important character it was interesting seeing her being less perfect than in book 1. I liked her so much more at the end when she realize things and try to save the people she loves.
Vayp and I have a weird relationship, I want to love his character like I really want to but sometimes I just want to slap him. But I loved his evolution in this book, how he's torn between his love for S'rae and his want to have his Sol back. He's an unique main character in my opinion and I love that.
The side characters were great even if I want to know more about them but I love the feeling of friendship I get from them, how they are their own person each with their personality. Even if some of their trait are a bit cliche (Lynn being the pretty girl who likes to dress up and Fujak is the misunderstood guy) but they're more than that and I liked getting to know them better.
I liked the part with Destrou better than in the first book and the mystery surrounding his story is getting thicker and I like that. A lot !
I think it's a solid sequel because even if it's slower for some part it serves the plot and the characters development a lot. I love having more information about this world and about S'rae childhood. The ending left me hanging like literally I stare the last page for like a few minutes because I couldn't believe it was happening. It's fast pace even if it's long and if you liked book 1 you should definitely read the sequel.
I received The Legend of Eve: Book of Fire (A Warrior’s Past Book 2) as an eARC in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to the author for sending me a copy of your book and allowing me to stay on this reviewing journey!
The Legend of Eve: Book of Fire is an amazing sequel to the first book. Rich in detail, this story only adds to the fullness and beauty of the world of Gaia. I love that we receive more depth about the setting of the story, especially in regards to GroundStone. In addition, more characters are introduced, and characters from book one are further expanded upon. While I enjoyed reading book one, there is definitely a greater attention to details and development in this book! It’s great!
One of my favorite parts of this story is reading about the characters and their internal, realistic struggles. There is S’rae, who is constantly in turmoil about being good enough; who only wants to be the best she can be and to be loved, but always seems to be let down or makes a mistake that drives people away. The second time she fails to receive a Sol, her anguish is nearly tangible. S’rae is written as an incredibly strong character, so to read those moments of weakness made it feel all the more realistic. The same with Vayp. Though his parts were fewer in this book, he struggles with his love for S’rae, but the anger and hatred due to her part in his Sol dying. Their emotions are fluid, shades of gray rather than merely black and white. It provides a much more relatable feel to them as characters.
I also enjoyed reading about Destrou so much more in this book. During book one, I didn’t find his sections as interesting, but the character development that progresses in book two makes him quite intriguing. I can’t wait to read more about him in the future books.
My one issue with this book is the relationship that occurs between Bele and S’rae. It’s not even really an issue, necessarily. But I did think it was a strange development that almost… didn’t fit? I’m not sure exactly.
Overall, The Legend of Eve: Book of Fire was a fantastic second novel in the series. I love how this story isn’t rushed, that the author is taking the time chapter by chapter to build this world and these kids in a way that is thoughtful and not too fast paced. With this much growth in the second book, I can only imagine how much there will be in the third!
When the author promised that this one would be even better than the first he definitely wasn't lying. What I enjoyed the most about this book is without a doubt the characters. S'rae and Bele in particular. S'rae, while being good at many things, isn't perfect. She can't find a Sol and struggles when it comes to learning the element Fire. Her trouble when it comes to mastering this element is something that I personally was very happy about since she is already a master in two other elements. S'rae's search for a Sol takes up a large part of her character arc in this book. Through this we also meet my absolutely favourite character: Bele. Bele is simply awesome. He may seem a bit shady and untrustworthy at first but he quickly grew on me. Bele might also seem a bit overpowered at times but there is a good reason for that which is revealed toward the end of the book and made me love him even more. I could probably talk about the characters for hours but let's focus on the scenery for a bit. In my opinion the world seems much more alive and vivid than in the first book of this series. GroundStone sounds absolutely stunning and beautiful with all those animals running around and living alongside humans. Destrou's village obviously hasn't changed much between the two books but the atmosphere feels more heavy and dangerous than before even though the Village wasn't a nice place to begin with. So is there anything I didn't like about this book? Only two relatively minor things come to mind. The attempted relationship between S'rae and Retro'ku for one. It felt a bit forced in my opinion especially because S'rae and Bele had a much better chemistry together. The other thing that slightly bothered me was Destrou's fast physical development after leaving the Box. Sure he was really motivated and had a bit of some magical food but it still went too fast for me. Overall I enjoyed this book a lot. It has a solid story, great characters and settings and definitely fulfilled it's goal in surpassing it's prequel.
The first book in this series was my most favorite read last year and I loved everything about it. Naturally, I was excited for the second book and if it could keep up since second installments in a series tend to be weak in comparison. I was not ready for the amazing story that unfolded in GroundStone, the School Of Earth.
We get wonderful new characters along with the old gang, we get to see the beautiful GroundStone and learn about it's teachings, there are new mysteries and epic action scenes. And all the while, the author never loses the great story line that still works in the past of Destrou's life and in the present, where S'rae has to go through highs and lows and grows so much along the way. There's even romance!
In the Book of Fire, there is so much going on and there is never a dull moment. The reader gets pulled in by the story and lives, fights, laughs, cries and loves with the characters. There is beautiful world building and the characters are well-rounded with a backstory and great personalities. This book really represents fire and it is amazing. I didn't want it to end!
This is the best second book in a series I've ever read and it sets the bar very high for future books. For me, it is clear that the author loves his world and characters, the plot is well thought out and makes the reader longing for more. Now, the next School awaits and I am so curious and excited to see where Book 3 will take us.
I highly recommend the Legends Of Eve because it is like no other fantasy world. I know I am fully lost in this vast world. And I don't want to leave.
Received this ARC (actually first draft from what the author posted) in exchange for an honest review.
I read the ARC for the first book and this first draft already showed a tremendous, immesurable improvement of the author's storytelling. This book explored much darker topics but balanced it out with lighter scenes with beautiful imagery, like S'rae's birthday present. At a whopping 600+ pages, there's tons of events into the events of Groundstone (which deserved, and now has, a book dedicated especially for it) and shows the characters battling internal struggles, like self-worth, jealousy, trust and fear, while faced with the external threat of the Shadow Army.
Avoiding any spoilers, this book continues Destrou and Ranmau's story as they face their most perilous challenge yet: the Trial of Crystal Soldier. Meanwhile, S'rae and the others head to Groundstone to prepare the next trial. Vayp remains with the shadows preparing for his own final battle.
I loved the imagery of this book as it took us through many of the wonders and horrors of Gaia. It was very reminiscent of Dragon Ball at times (sensu meat, colorful auras, and shouting HA! to strengthen attack) but retained its own identity. I particularly enjoyed the focus on Sols this book took.
I'm looking forward to seeing this book in its finished form as well as the rest of the saga. The author is masterful at world creation and if this first draft is any indication, we're in for quite a treat over the next books.
It has taken me quite awhile to finally finish reading not because of the length but personal reasons.
Anyways the author sent me an ARC and all opinions in this review are 100% my own.
This book is just as great as the first.
The way the author was still able to weave the past and present events when necessary and not have it be confusing is amazing.
I was glad to read even more depth and learn certain things about characters’ pasts.
Of course there is sadness, betrayal, happiness, and accomplishments, but there is oh so much more.
I am being vague because you NEED to READ this! Don’t let the page amount intimidate you! If you do then you will miss out on the continuation of a world filled with darkness and light, but also magic everyday.
I will give away one spoiler. I got a mini character role! Lol checked something off my bucket list.
Thank you again for allowing me to have the pleasure to read this early.
I was given an ARC for an honest review. I was lucky enough last year to be asked to read the ARC for book one. This book, surpassed book one. I couldn’t put it down. Getting to be at GroundStone for this book, meeting the new characters that we did. It was wonderful. It was great we got to see what happened in the Book of Eve. Finding out who betrayed who and finding out hidden truths. Knowing there’s more than meets the eye, everywhere. In this book, we get to see more sides to the Chosen Ones, their fears and strength and more of their journey. This book was very addicting and I’m so happy to have been asked to be part of the journey. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for everyone in book three!
I recently finished the ARC for book 2!! Legends Of Eve: Book Of Fire. This book picked up right where book 1 left off and continued the journey. In this book we explore more of the fire and earth elements at groundstone. The characters experience new hardships along the way while learning more about the war of the past to prepare for the upcoming battle for time. I got wrapped up reading this story. Once the final draft is finished I will definitely read it again. If you enjoy falling into a story filled with magic, peril and humor, you will find this book right up your alley. I loved the character development in this book. I can't wait for book 3!!!
I enjoyed the first book and was looking forward to book 2 and it surpassed any expectations I had. This story is taken from multiple viewpoints and the author likes to switch on a cliffhanger but the amazing thing is when you start the new viewpoint you get so caught up in it that when you go back you have totally forgotten the last cliffhanger. I would be disappointed he left that person for about a second as then i just needed to know what was happening in the other person's story. It was funny and it was heartbreaking and I can't wait to read the next one.
This book is amazing. Each page made the book feel real. Each chapter was better than the one before. Reading two stories was really unique. Each story got exciting every time you read each part. Each character has a unique back story that plays a part in their life. I really wanted to read more about each character. It has so many exciting parts. Towards the end it adds a really good feeling about family which I loved. Book 2 is absolutely amazing and a must read.
this book was absolutely amazing, every single page was something exciting and new and i couldn’t stop reading. if you are a fan of magical things i would recommend this. i remember thinking all throughout the book how did this author think of this? it’s amazing and definitely a book series i’m glad i’m on a journey with.
Not only is the novel intricately woven, traipsing the difficulty of world building whilst drawing the reader into the infinite world of the novel, it leaves you yearning for more. You want to BE in the novel, you want to read more, experience more. It is not just the writing style, but the characterisations, the imagery and the all round WONDERFUL series as it’s become.
The story picks up where it was left off in the first book. The characters are shown in much depth and the author has really breathed life into each scene and character. The character development is amazing! It's fast paced and there's never a dull moment in the story which keeps you on the edge hoping to know what happens next! A beautiful read, definitely recommend.
This book is better than the first one, which I'm surprised is even possible! The breadcrumb trails of clues gets even more twisted and there's surprise after surprise as the story goes on. I can hardly wait for Book 3!
I've never been much for fiction, but this is a series I throughly enjoy reading! A great sequel with an even greater cliff hanger. I can't wait to see what book 3 has in store us readers
I received this as an E-ARC so I read it on my phone the majority of the time and listened to it on audio at work! And ohmygod I am more in love with this world and the characters than I was in the 1st book!!!!!! The author really upped the stakes in this novel!!!!! I was at the gym for the majority of the last 200 or so pages and I was walking the treadmill and I almost lowkey fell a few times because something shocking happened and my body, mind and heary stopped but my legs had to keep walking 😂😂😂 I loved seeing S'rae, Destrou, Vayp and everyone else again!!!!! The magic system grew exponentially in this novel, with S'rae and Fujak in the Groundstone school, learning their powers to learning about Sols!!!!! I loved the relationship between S'rae and Bele and that ending blew my fucking mind away!!!!!! The loved reading more about Destrou and Ranmau and more about Eve!!!!! Okay. The ending. Fucking. MURDERED ME!!!!!!!!!! Ohmygod!!!!!!! I wish I could say the spoilers but yeah just read the first book and this one should be out next year!!!!! I can't wait to buy it and read it a second time!!!!!! And seeing everything the author is posting about the 3rd book is making me hyped!!!!!!!!!! So yeah every single star in the entire universe!!!!!!!!!
