喺呢本短短嘅書仔入面，Vikki分享咗喺加拿大做無家者、受政治酷刑嘅難民、督導嘅經驗。入面有好多句發人深省嘅說話，例如係探索個人喺壓迫下嘅反抗可以幫助恢復尊嚴同自主性，但遠遠唔足於停止壓迫！仲有好鼓舞嘅一句：「當我哋實踐公義嘅時候，我哋自然走入咗浩翰嘅歷史當中，而唔係孤立無援！」
