Anne Fox is an author (obviously), firearms instructor, former flight instructor, and holds degrees in music and biochemistry/molecular biology. She currently spends her time writing, traveling, and participating in marksmanship competitions.

Living in the desert Southwest city of El Paso, Texas, she draws heavily from her own experiences and past travels while accompanying a husband in the military to bring life to her stories. She enjoys traveling and seeing what the United States has to offer while based out of her travel trailer.

Her non-human friends include two Maine Coon cats (Sigwan and Hebert), a flock of chickens that lay blue eggs, and a pond full of goldfish. She also participates in El Paso's Community Cats program by caring for a colony of feral cats. She enjoys a host of hobbies which she also draws from for her books: rockhounding, gardening, jewelry-making, beadwork, silk flower arranging, and other crafts.

I will again state my bias as the author of the book.

I periodically revisit my books in order to make minor editing changes and bring a new interior look to them. This book remains a special one to me, as doing the research for the book conspired to make this a cause of mine: stopping the sexual predation of children.

This powerful book, Book 5 of The Unit series, though a novel, gives a great deal of actual information concerning the crime of child sexual exploitation, and will hopefully bring awareness of this crime and methods of involvement in curtailing it to those who read its pages. A disturbing topic, handled tactfully, the statistics are real, as are the phone numbers and most of the accounts of cases. The Afterword gives readers information that they can use to combat our nation's dirty little secret: the more than a quarter of a million children who are being sexually exploited in this country.

You will be on the edge of your seat rooting for the Unit team members in their fight against one of today's greatest horrors: child sex trafficking. The multi-faceted characters are both challenged and strengthened by the visceral nature of what they are fighting.

The ripped-from-the-headlines facts and figures that lead the Unit to engage in this particular mission should be an eye-opener for every reader.
