A dangerous outsider with his own agenda. An impossible mission to save humanity from their vampiric rulers. One girl who won’t give up until it’s done.
This is on me. All of it. I let my guard down after falling for the princes and, ultimately, lost sight of what this world truly is.
Cold. Cruel. Perilous.
For humans, anyway.
Being taken in the middle of the night was just the rude awakening I needed to bring reality crashing back down. Although, the old me would’ve seen the ambush coming from a mile away.
Would’ve seen him coming from a mile away.
Trapped and unable to reach the princes or my team, hopelessness hunts me down like a pack of hellhounds. Making matters worse, I’m at the mercy of the one who’s appeared in my nightmares since first laying eyes on him.
Face-to-face for the second time, I’m reminded of our mutual hatred. Only, now that the blood bond has taken effect, is it still mutual? I get the sense that something’s changed. Something that has me questioning why the rage and fury I remember him wielding so powerfully are almost nonexistent now.
What am I missing? Who is Aaric really? And why have I been brought here?
I want answers he’s unwilling to give, but according to him, some things are better witnessed than explained.
Well, looks like I’ll be following the devil down the rabbit hole. This can only end well, right?
Another favorite from RJ!!! Loved this series so much. Rachel loves her fans and she was kind enough to dedicate this one to my late husband, which is the nicest memorial I’ve ever received as her fan!
Honestly this last installment was such a let down, such a disappointment. This book was mostly focus on Aaric and Julian. As for as any kinky scenes with Corina and the princes, you can pass your way, or even better re read the third book which was the best of all the series in my opinion. The story line here was too convenient, as she wanted to get rid of the series as quickly as possible.
How can Corina forget Aaric so easily after what he has done. Like Levi put it "The difference is none of us are sadistic psychopaths. (p. 42)". How can Corina have lust for someone who abduct her and torture her (p. 52)? Also, Aaric telling Corina that it was for insurance purpose that he bit her without her consent (p. 64-65). Or when Aaric is telling to Corina "Before you get upset, you must know I never spied on any of your private moments." and Corina is reacting by "They were all private moments! Because you weren't invited into any of them. (p. 74)". Even Corina is telling him the truth (p. 76): "You drugged me, and then bound me to you for life," I forced out. "You stole my choice to feel all these... things that run through my head on a constant basis. Feelings a woman should never feel for the man who brutalized her. And all for what? To save your own skin when this life catches up with you?" I scoffed. "Some might think you were being resourceful that night, but only one word comes to mind when I look a you," I seethed. "Coward". So even after this discours, Corina is still forgetting Aaric. After all, he was going to sacrifice himself to kill the princes and her included (p. 78). Maybe Corina is having a bit of Stockholm syndrome, p. 90: "He knew I was attracted. And he knew that I knew he was attracted to me." No, Corina you are not two sides of the same coin (p. 153). So why did you kiss him (p. 202)? And no, Aaric wouldn't have been the perfect guy (p. 280), and no you cannot wanted him even as a monster (p. 283).
My suspicion about Empress Westower was correct (p. 71) and about Aaric's father and sister too (p. 99-100, 300).
Also, I don't understand why no one of the five mates cannot feel any physical harm done to each other, but if one of them die, all of them die too. So when human Corina died, why the princes didn't die too (p. 221)?
Furthermore, why don't we have any information about Levi and Silas' parents?? They are as important as Julian's (p. 238) or even Roman's father (p. 336).
Nevertheless, Corina has a dream life, 4 princes and no drama, am I right? (p. 239, 335). But I was disappointment when the blood bond didn't turn to a sex party. Honestly the princes share the same girl, so why not sharing the same night too. And even after, we don't know who is getting which night....
At some point during the end, I even forgot who was Glenn (p. 292).
The way Perceval died is too convenient (p. 328). And everyone take the serum and they live happily ever after, that sucks.
I found two mistakes: - p. 103: "she'd crashed in in such a rush" --> it should be one "in". - p. 129: "I'll see to it that that's done" --> it should be one "that".
So good quotes: - p. 37: "Perhaps I've gone about this all wrong. Oh, so there's a 'right way' to abduct someone?" I scoffed." - p. 128-129: "More and more I understood how she was wired. I'd made the mistake of calling her fearless before, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. The only difference between her and anyone else, was that she didn't let those feelings rule her. Like me, she knew how to make the hard decisions, and having done so all these years, she'd built up an almost inhuman tolerance." - p. 134: "We both know warming up to her is about as easy as hugging a glacier." - p. 233: "Seemed the longer I stayed off the radar, the stronger his persistence grew."
This has been a fab series and although sorry to see it end the conclusion Is just perfect! Picking up from where the third book ended we get the answers we have been waiting for and we finally find out what Aaric's motives are. Corina our female mc is still tough and strong and still sassy throughout this final story and I have definitely fallen in love with this world the author has created! If you like paranormal reverse harem and a different take on vampires then this is the series for you!
Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.
Rachel Jonas reeled me in with her first series and I knew when she announced she was doing a reverse harem I was a goner. Sure enough I loved it, the Their Vampire's Mark series was amazing, I loved the series. After finishing the third book, Cold Heir, it killed me when she announced that the final book wasn't going to published until the next year. Well the wait was worth it, Crimson Mist was more than everything I could have wished for in the final book.
Corina was up to her usually escapades, being daring, brave, sassy and overall incredible. I really do love Corina's commitment to rebel cause but at times she can be reckless and that is just something that comes with the territory. I love how she sees herself as just another member of the team she doesn't realize how important she is to those around her.
As for her relationship with the guys, while it started off rocky I love how they have come together, they have truly bonded. The princes are starting to see the toxic society that they grew-up in and Corina is starting to learn that she needs people around her that care, that people can change. In this story Corina and the guys are just mates but as more information is revealed in this book I feel that they are probably fated mates. They way things came together in order for them to be mated seems impossible, with society, personalities and certain events the mating shouldn't have happen but it did and it works. I just love them together.
Surprisingly enough the story really didn't center on their romance, it was about Corina coming to terms with her situation and about the revolution that the rebels were trying to make happen, it called for an interesting story. The pace of the story was excellent and not only did we get Corina's perspective but the guys as well, it was great. I had my questions answered and a couple of theories I had proved correct, so I'm super happy about that.
So much happened in Crimson Mist, I mean it kick started with action, then non-stop revelation after revelation. The surprising connections that started at the beginning of the series that concluded in this book. I was so excited for this book and it was everything I could have wished for in the conclusion of the story, it captured my attention and held it. I can't wait to see what Rachel writes next, I am crossing my fingers for another paranormal reverse harem.
This was a great end to an equally great series. This book picks right up where the last one ended and it gives us many answers. I loved learning everything that we did in this book, it brings together all that we learned over the course of the story while bringing about the one goal everyone has, find a cure for the "blood curse." I will say that this book finally let us in on what Aaric's motives were and let's just say he totally redeems himself for every last transgression he made against Cori. As always I still loved the princes in this story, the only thing they cared about was Corina and making sure she was as safe and happy as possible even if it went against what they believed to be true or right. Corina is still one of my favorites and this book just drove that home, she was able to forgive the people who wronged her and put herself in danger many times just to save the people who are unable to save themselves. The big surprise throughout this book, I think was Roman, while after the book ends he still had a long way to go I was happy with what he did at the end even when he most definitely didn't have to. Overall this was the perfect ending to this series, it gave Corina and her princes the closure they deserve while giving us the answers to the questions we've been dying to know.
After Corina was kidnapped by Aaric under the nose of Julian, Silas and Levy, she discovers that the cause she's fighting for is way bigger than she first realized. While her mates try to locate her by any means, Corina and her new allies make plans to give the cure to Ianites.
Corina is a character you cannot help but like. She fights for what is right and never gives up. Her mates are also incredible with her. They're ready to put their judgment and beliefs aside and learn. Aaric turns out to be a real gentleman and manages to redeem himself.
The ending of the series was just what I expected. And even though Roman was just a straight up a-hole from the beginning, I was surprised (in a good way) to see him back in his brothers' good graces. I get why he was angry and had all this hatred inside of him, but I wonder what would've happened if ...
The Vampire's Mark was an amazing series, and I'm sad it's over but I can't wait to discover more of Rachel Jonas' books!
Finally!!!! I have been impatiently waiting for this final book and completely in the dark on what was going to happen.
Yes, I received an arc copy for an honest review and yes I prayed I would get one and NO I was not disappointed!!!
This was my 1st EVER RH Series. I had sworn off them but BUT this series changed my mind (and you don't want to know how many I've read now)
Book 3 left us with some many questions with so many different ways it could go. I'm not going to give any spoilers in this review but let me say this...
1) All questions will be answered. 2) You may not get the answers you were expecting. 3) Things may not always be as they seem. 4) YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED
At the end of this read I was happy, content, and it felt like the story ended on the perfect note, though not entirely the way I was expecting. ❤
I was given an ARC by the author in return for an unbiased review. I already read the first three books in this series and couldn't wait to dig into book four, bringing the series to a close. "Crimson Mist" picks up just where the previous volume stops and takes you on a journey of ups and downs until the end.
If you like strong female leads you will love this series. Corina starts out as a tough, determined woman, no stranger to danger, and remains so throughout the series. There is just enough romance interspersed with the action to keep you wanting to read.
The other reason I enjoyed this series is the fresh take on vampires. No sparkly vampires, no going up in dust in the sunlight vampires. These vamps are different and nothing short of believable if you think vamps could really be a thing.
I would love to have seen a bit more story development about a period of change mentioned in the Epilogue which is a year after the end of the last chapter. I won't say more because I don't want to be a spoiler in case you have not read the series and this one is worth reading.
I can't believe this is the last book. There is no way anyone could have predicted what Rachel gave us in this book. So Corina is kidnapped, that we know. But, why is what we learn. And they why, while open up pandora's box so to speak.
Our guys are doing everything they can to get her back. There is so much our princes and even Cori still don't know about the world they are living in and the key essential players. We learn Aaric true motivations and even why he bit Cori.
I love the constant character evolution. And the diabolical plan that Corni concocted could potentially help save the lives of her people. This book will string together everyone question you have for the series and still leave you wishing there was one more book. Love, hope betryal and reception, what more could you want. Perfect ending.
I was given this book as an Arc for my unbiased opinion.
Woooo Chile! Heartwarming Ending to a Great Series
Welcome to the “Vampire’s Mark” Express. Fasten your seat belts and get ready to enjoy the ride! Ms Rachel Jonas DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! At last the wait is over! I’m so happy I get to dive back into the world of Corina, Julian, Levi, Silas and Roman. My heart swells with joy at how happy I am in the way this Series ends. The twist and turns were absolutely delicious. There’s so much to say, but I won’t. I’d hate to accidentally provide a Spoiler. Suffice it to say, if you are a YA Paranormal Romance Lover, 1-click on this WHOLE Series right now! Bravo, Ms Jonas! I remain, your Fan! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Uhuuuul terminei! Simplesmente amei esses livros! Quero um spin-off AGORA
This ending was everything I wanted and more! Throughout Crimson Mist we finally got the long awaited answers to all our questions. I was excited to finally learn more about the mystery man who is known as Aaric. He is definitely not who I thought he was at first and may perhaps be my new favorite.
I fell in love with Corina's story from the very beginning. I loved the world Rachel created and with each book I couldn't get enough. This was definitely a great ending to a phenomenal series. I can't wait to see what else she has in store for us after this.
I loved the conclusion to this story! At first, I had a hard time getting into this book. Not due to the writing, because as is typical of this author it was wonderful but because I didn't reread books 1 through 3 first. Once I engaged, I had trouble putting it down for long. By this final book, I absolutely adored Corina, Elle and the men. My only criticism and it is slight is that the resolution felt just a little too easy. This didn't diminish my enjoyment though and the feelings and satisfaction I got from the epilogue made this a 5 star read for me. I would absolutely recommend this series to others.
Pretty good ending. I loved getting to know Aaric and his place in the book and in Corinas life. The other mates kind of got put a little on the back burner with this book. The reason i gave it 3 stars was because it felt a bit rushed. I would have liked to read more about The Reckoning and go a little bit more in depth about what took place. Overall good series and good ending. Will definitely read more of this author whenever she puts out new series!
**I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review**
Wow, what an epic conclusion to Corina's story. There's action galore and everything comes together in this final book. Corina is such an amazing character, never a dull moment when she's around. I love Rachel Jonas's take on vampires so much in this series, that it's refreshing to read. I could not put this book down. If you're looking for fantasy, heat and action, this is the series for you. And this final book has to be my favourite of the whole series. Love love love! Can't wait to see what this talented author comes up with next!
I had the opportunity read the first 3 books in this back to back to back about a year ago so you can only imagine how I’ve felt waiting for this book to come out. And let me tell you, it was certainly worth the wait. This story went in a direction that I was not expecting at all and I thought it all came to a wonderful conclusion! My only downfall is that I finished it so quickly, but I couldn’t put it down, I had to know all the things!! Overall this was a great book and a fantastic series!
So this book was the perfect hea to a great series but here's my problem. The original 3 were just kind of set to the side in this book. How is it an rh when it's mainly focused on one character. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed watching the relationship unfold but like I said this is supposed to be a rh. There is no heat no group dynamic and no time together to have relationships. It was a very busy book as if it was rushed and crammed in there. Also it took almost 2 years f for 3 book. Too much tug time had passed to keep track off everything going on.
I loved how things ended for Corina and the princes. Their quest took me on a wondrous, exciting and dangerous adventure. I definitely didn’t see the big surprise twist. I just couldn’t put their tale down. Corina and the princes find allies in the most unexpected individuals. It’s amazing what they accomplish. I loved how strong and seriously kick butt Corina proves to be once again and how much she’s adored. This is a story I would recommend.
This author is beginning to be one of my fave authors. I've devoured 2 of her series in just a couple of days. Her writing style captured what I was looking for, the love between her and her men had just the right amount of pining. The suspense of finding out who the real enemy is definitely well played out. I've loved how the author also built one of the characters to be someone that you hate but then come to love. I look forward to more of her books.
Crimson Mist was a much anticipated book on my TBR list and I devoured it s quickly, I really did try to savour it but it such a page turner.
I love Corina she is such a good heroine and I’m glad to see how her life and mission turned out especially how her love interests fit in ! Such a great ending to this series!
So much I wish I could say but don’t want to give away any spoilers. This story knits together all the threads from the previous books very well. Corina has challenges to face and her new self to encompass. I love the vivid imagery that Ms Jonas brings to her books. I am always entertained from page one.
This series was rushed. Like the author couldn’t wait to end it. I enjoyed it, don’t get me wrong, but the character development was shallow at best. The plot was glossed over and the stakes, while the author wrote them to be high, never seemed to be quite as high as she tried to make them out to be.
It is not the typical reverse harem, the history is based in their adventure, bravery and loyalty, and a little bit of love, but I really liked the story. Corina is a strong woman that have a really strong will and believes, and the princes learn a new point of view of the world thanks to her, it was a beautiful story.
This one gave me whiplash. Who's a villain and who's a friend?
Too many plot holes. I was disappointed with how things wrapped up so smoothly and how a world-changing cure was developed in two weeks by characters that, although smart, aren't scientists.
Minor grammatical errors.

I’ve always told you Rachel, I love your books and the worlds you create on them. It was a great end for a great series, I can’t believe it’s over, it has been a journey to read through Corina and the princes aventure.
Back like she never left. From the beginning Corina and crew are up to there eyeballs in it. We get to learn more about the mysterious Aaric and see new exciting sides of our favs. It's a great ending for a great series.
Wow Alaric has certain surprised me. Despite circumstance, he complements Corina. It's wonderful to see the bond strengthen between Julian, Silas, Levi as well. There was a number of surprises/plot twist. I loved the epilogue. Wonderful writing and epic conclusion. Kudos!
A great conclusion for Corina's story. The world Rachel created for the Vampire Mark series is original and so interesting. Aaric was a great addition and totally makes sense.
