David James has worked in upholstery since leaving school. He teaches upholstery at the university level and has recently been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by Buckinghamshire New University. His recent work as an upholstery consultant includes wall coverings and projects involving the restoration of historic upholstery.
This was not beginner enough for me on first read--I chose a few books that had well delineated measurement as well as finishing instructions for my first projects, but may return to this later--once I try to tackle some of the more challenging projects that are present in our house!
