I’ve really enjoyed this fast-paced series and the overarching mystery with the local cult. It’s finally time to go head-to-head with the psychotic leader before the entire town is redefined by his extreme plans. But what does Gilead have against Cassidy’s husband, Ty?
I really appreciated how the series is squeaky clean and the romance is just a married couple. Sometimes it’s so refreshing to get away from the constant pairing off that happens in modern fiction. :)

This was a great conclusion to the series. Probably the most suspenseful book in all the Lantern Beach series. Gilead and his cove take precedence and the complete deception of man and the false and heretical claims to God are sickening, just like it should be.
This had a very satisfactory ending. It has been a long time since I’ve read fourteen consecutive books on one location and character circle, and I did enjoy it.
I was most disappointed with the spiritual level. Though the characters claimed Christianity, the most prominent spiritual thread was them mentioning prayer. When they needed strength or were on the verge of giving up, they pressed forward with an inner strength—no mention of God being their help and sustainer. There were also very few Scripture verses ever referenced—sadly, the most Scriptural references were when Gilead or his men misconstrued them. So, there wasn’t a clear presentation of the Bible at all. I would consider that the biggest let-down of this series, because there were dozens of places where a verse could have been quoted or a character pointed to Christ, and it was just missed.

I was so looking forward to the conclusion of this series; truly loved reading more about Cassidy, Mac, Ty and their friends, really wanted to see Gilead get justice, and desired a happy ending all around for these great characters. Here's what I didn't like about the story...**MILD SPOILERS**
Ty gets poisoned and gets sick before he is run off the road and kidnapped.
There is more than one torture scene and no matter how well it's written, it bothers my stomach reading about it. Just chaining someone in a dark room is considered torture and inhumane for me, abuse beyond that is overwhelming to me.
One character in Gilead's cult is mistreated and abused with scripture justifying the abuse, it was rough reading that.
We finally find Serena in this book, but it's scary what happens to her.
A dead body is thrown into the story to mislead Cassidy and the reader, but it really was harsh. I could barely stand seeing Cassidy suffer in NOT knowing what was happening to Ty (it was AWESOME she got to ride a helicopter in an effort to find him because he is WELL hidden)!
People in the cult are forced to take communion or risk being shot, that whole scene (which goes on for a few chapters) really shook me up.
Gilead is finally asked WHY did he DO all of this? His answer did not justify his cruel and abusive ways. The reader can easily accept his answer since he is a disillusioned psycho seeking revenge, but it was hard for me to make sense of the mayhem for this story.
Yes, it's a happy ending, however based on ALL the heartbreak, deaths, fraudulent election, and threats to Cassidy via text...I did NOT see how life could return to normal for these beloved characters. Even Tony Stark had nightmares AFTER the alien attack in Avengers and he is not someone who gets traumatized. When Cassidy and Ty resolve everything and get their needed answers, yes to snuggling and enjoying life to the fullest but after this intense book (and the entire series leading up to it), I didn't think it would be so simple to move forward.
I enjoyed the story despite these mild protests and it will definitely keep you turning pages, but the ending wasn't quite what I hoped it would be.

Plan of Action by Christy Barritt is an explosive ending to her Lantern Beach P.D. mysteries series. With Ty's life on the line, Charity does anything, and I mean anything, to find him before whoever has him does bodily harm to him. If you had read the previous four books in this series than you are familiar with the Gilead Cove cult that has been hanging around the fringes of Lantern Beach. The tension in this episode was high and kept moving forward against the clock as I flew through the pages. While Casey and Ty was already married, there really wasn't any romance, it was more along how far would you go to rescue the one you love. Overall, Plan of Action summed up a huge mystery, but Barritt left room for her to expand the series with the Navy Seals. As always, I really can't wait to see what Barritt comes up with next.

Another fabulous book
What more can I say. It was written by Christy Barritt. Plenty of suspense. Clean read. Smattering of romance. I have read the whole series and feel like I know the characters personally. It is a stand alone book but reading the series ties everything together.

WOW, THIS LAST BOOK HAD HEART-STOPPING MOMENTS!
I couldn't put this down. So many intense parts! I'm sad the story has ended. I knew it needed to resolve, but I've become so connected with these characters that I feel they're my friends and I want to continue to know what's happening in their lives.
Now with that said, I have to tell you, this last book in the series is the most suspenseful of them all!
Wow, poor Ty and Cassidy! Their lives really go through the wringer with trying to figure out how to bring justice and peace to their little town of Lantern Beach. There were a couple of times I wanted to put the book down because I just didn’t want to experience all the emotions I was having. Christy Barritt truly is a gifted author because you feel EVERYTHING these characters feel.
This story has so much packed into it, it was hard to breathe sometimes. My heart was pounding and my mind was going fast trying to figure out how it was all going to end.
Another thing about the way Christy Barritt writes is that she does a wonderful job sharing the hope we can have to be a victor not a victim through the grace of God. To be strong and not let fear and the past overcome us.
If you LOVE mystery, suspense, and action, with a bit of romance mixed in, you will love this book and the whole series!
I also enjoyed reading more about the lives of those wonderful people who make up Lantern Beach. It was like coming home and visiting with friends. I highly recommend you pick up the series and this book. You won’t be disappointed.

Ty is Missing! Of all the things that Cassidy has faced as Chief of Police in Lantern Beach, this is by far the worst! Ty is very sick, supposedly from food poisoning, and his truck is found by the side of the road, damaged and with Ty's blood inside. In this thrilling conclusion to the Lantern Beach PD Series, Cassidy has to handle the hardest case of her life, and pray that they find Ty before he is killed. Cassidy is sure that Anthony Gilead has him, as pieces begin to fall into place, but a through search of Gilead's Cove turns up nothing. A haunting memory form Ty's past and danger to Cassidy because of her past, all seem to be connected to Gilead's Cove. And Anthony has never been so dangerous as when his world begins falling apart around him. Be sure to read the conclusion to this series! I was sorry to see it end, and look forward to the next series by this author, located in Lantern Beach.

Christy Barritt writes a fast paced conclusion to her Lantern PD mystery series that will have readers glued to the pages from the moment Ty gets in an accident to the ending that will dredge up horrific memories from the past for readers who are fifty plus.
Cassidy is on a race against time to locate her husband before a monster takes his life for a past event Ty had no control over. Worse, it seems as if some military/law enforcement are not as they seem--or are they?
Once I picked this book up I read half of it in mere hours and the other half the next day. I can't wait for the next Christy Barritt book -- which might be Wes's story Winds of Danger (at long last) or it might be the start of a new series: Lantern Beach Blackout.
PLAN OF ACTION is book five in this series and fans will want to read them in order.

A satisfying conclusion to a very enjoyable series! Christy Barritt has quite the knack for action-packed series that have equal doses of suspense, likable characters, beach settings, and faith. I liked how this book focused a little less on mystery and was more of a heart pounding read as Ty is abducted and the fate of Gilead’s Cove and Lantern Beach hang in the balance. Christy Barritt wraps up all of the unanswered questions from the last 4 books, while also presenting new ways to carry on the series with Lantern Beach Blackout, the newest Lantern Beach series. Not sure how she writes all these enjoyable books so quickly, but I’m glad she does!

Warning - once you start reading, you will not be able to put this book down until you reach the end!! In the conclusion to the Lantern Beach PD series, Chief Cassidy Chambers' husband Ty is missing and the the frantic search to find him begins. Cassidy and Ty's friends combine forces to find the ex-Navy seal before it is too late. Lucky for them, these friends include other ex-military and FBI who have many resources available to help with the search. If you have been following this story, many questions will be answered: Who knows Cassidy's secret? What is the "cult" up to that has come to Lantern Beach? Will Ty be found before there is another death? If you like twists and turns in a story, you will find them here. Another great series by Christy Barritt!

Wow! Great series.
Christy Barritt knows how to spin a mystery. With lots of action and intrigue her Lantern Beach PD series is a great follow-up to her previous Lantern Beach series. While continuing the stories of some of the characters we previously met, this series focuses on one continuing story of evil in the form of a cult leader with a vendetta.
Christy writes her characters with depth and pulls you right into their lives as you root for them to win.
My one small complaint was that in the end the climax was a bit cliche, but I would definitely read these books again.
I recommend this series for anyone who loves suspense with just a touch of romance. Christy really delivers.

Best laid plans...
This was a riveting way to wrap up this part of the Lantern Beach saga! Every page held my interest, upping the adrenaline levels as the plot revealed a madman imploding. This was a book I dreaded coming to the end of because I've loved the characters, friendships, setting and excitement of life on the beach throughout this series. No preaching but faith lessons are sprinkled in as these friends grow together in the bonds of Christ. I hope Christy Barritt plans to keep throwing in snippets of information about the lives of these favorite characters as she continues to write about Lantern Beach.

With a massive search for Cassidy's missing and injured husband, she pushes emotions aside and relies on friends, Ty's former SEAL warriors and called extra law enforcement to help. The lack of clues plus the disappearance of slippery Gilead thwarts attempts as time critically runs out for rescue. Cassidy and the town need as much assistance as possible.
This book should be on your summer reading list.

Cassidy has been waiting for the opportunity to bring down Anthony Gilead and his cult. When her husband Ty goes missing, Cassidy is more determined than ever to prove that Gilead and his followers are responsible. The stakes are high and Cassidy knows confronting Gilead may cost her everything. But, Cassidy will not back down from her mission to make sure this deadly cult is removed from her beloved Lantern Beach once and for all.
This was a perfect ending to an amazing series! I love the setting and all the great characters. I would definitely recommend getting started on this series and binge reading to the very end!

I always hate when one of Christy Barritt's books ends! I always miss the characters and storyline until the next book comes out.
Christy has a way with words. I have loved every book I have ever read by her.
Plan of Action wraps up an ongoing storyline about relationships, mysterious activities on the island, etc.
I would definitely recommend this series, but start with the Lantern Beach Series first...and then read the Lantern Beach Romance series. It's definitely better if you read them all in order - you really get to know the characters and you feel like you're right there on the island with them.

What an ending to the series! I read this book in one sitting while holding my breath and sitting on the edge of my seat! I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Cassidy has faced a lot of trials throughout this series, but her husband going missing is by far the worst. It's a race against time to find him and the whole community of Lantern Beach gets involved. No spoilers here so you will have to read to finally have closure and answers to the questions readers have been asking all along.

I was mesmerized by this book, only family birthdays, holidays and some emergencies kept me from reading it faster. There is not much I can say about this exciting book without giving away details. There is danger that is life-threatening. Chief Cassidy has her hands full with finding missing people, addressing threats against her, and trying to get Serena and Moriah away from the cult called Gilead's Cove. Do yourself a favor, read this book. Even better, read the whole series!

Exciting, thrill-packed conclusion to the Gilead's Cove case. I'm looking forward, of course, to return visits to Lantern Beach, but I'm glad author Christy Barritt made the decision to end this partucular series with PLAN OF ACTION because I just don't know if I could have stood the suspense for one more month. (So sad, but so true. Lol) Highly recommended!

Wow, so sad to see the series end, but this was an excellent book to tie everything up with. The characters and plot had you wondering what would come next--another stirring and suspenseful tale! You can't read the others without reading this one so grab a cup of coffee or tea and settle in!!

Thrilling Conclusion
This is the thrilling conclusion to this series but another series on the way.
I loved the storyline filled with lots of suspense ,twists and turns.
There always an amazing cast of characters.
This book is recommended for those who love Christian romantic suspense.

I couldn't have asked for better writing and a more thrilling ending to this series. One of Cassidy's most treasured people, Ty, goes missing and she is in a race to find him. Meanwhile, the cult in town is getting more bold and more dangerous and Cassidy must find a way to stop them. I couldn't put this book down and can't wait to start another series of Christy Barritt's!

Another great story !!!
A great plot. Great characters. Kept me on the edge of my chair reading, when I should have been fast asleep. But it was worth the missed sleep to read another great story from Christy Barrett. Also looking forward to The Lantern Beach Blackout series coming soon :))

Great Ending to this Series
This book was more intense than the others, I think. A real nail - biter with some great twists. I really enjoyed how everything thing came together. Except for Paige. That seemed a little too easy and obvious.
I will miss this series but, look forward to the new characters and stories coming in the future.

WOW!! Amazing! Simply amazing! Such a good read! I could hardly put the book down. Perfect ending! I don’t want this series to ever end!
I like reading the other books written about all of the characters in these books, but I don’t want Ty and Cassidy’s books to stop - the author needs to work on more books about Ty and Cassidy.

Great conclusion to the series
This series has been enjoyable to listen and read. The audible books haven't extended to the final books, but reading them went quick. Very good connection between books and excellent portrayal of characters. I enjoyed the whole series and am looking forward to the next series...
