2 disappointed stars.
Man, I really thought I had a winner here. It started off as a solid 4 star read, but the author kept adding more meaningless conversation and plot devices that just made me frustrated. The real kicker is that ive been looking for a book with this kind of plot.
Boy used to be a bully to girl in childhood years, but secretly loves her. Boy and girl meet years later but girl doesnt recognize boy. Boy is still in love with girl and chemistry ensures. Eventually girl finds out about Boy and fall in love after a quick drama llama break. HEA.
What I got was a poorly written story with so much extra plot that it took away from the main story. In fact, this book was almost entirely focused on the secondary characters that were, quite frankly, annoying as fuck. Then to top it off, the ending was just terrible. Of course the heroine gets a surprise stalker/rapist so the hero can swoop in and save her.
PSA: You can end a book with a different ending than putting the heroines life in danger so the hero redeems himself. Its ok to be original! I promise!
Safety:
Very safe! which is a shame because if this book was even just a little bit better I would have recommended it!
-Hero not a manwhore. Was celibate for awhile before he sees the heroine again
-Non virgin heroine.
-Seperation for a few weeks
-Pushing away from heroine when she finds out who H is.
-No OW/OM drama
-No cheating.

I think I was carried away with the title and a little from the blurb because what I read is not what I expected.
In the first half of the book, instead of focusing on Ziggy and Wren, the plot is broadened with the disappearance of Ziggy’s cousin, Juliette. Too many chapters as if the author is trying to find a way to fill the pages.
During the other half of the book, where there is no sign of novelty, a violent rapist has caught Ziggy and Wren comes in and saves her!!! Too common and predictable.
This was not an enjoyable read and I was so close not to finish it. 😞

Enemies to lovers story and what a story it is! Ziggy & Wren are perfect and over the course of the story it becomes so evident how perfect they are for each other. Their story has a little bit of everything to keep you turning the pages. Marci Belle delivers again!

A story that was such an easy, flowing read. A shared past which has caused much angst and upset, the scene is set up nicely for when Ziggy and Wren meet again. A chaotic wedding in Vegas brings them back together but not on obvious terms. I loved this angle and the storyline proved to be a catchy tale that fully captured my attention.
The chemistry between them simmered nicely and boy when things got going....BAM! Steamy and passionate, these two characters produced fireworks!

Bully has all the vital ingredients of a good book. It’s got suspense, simmering romance, humour and a lovely dollop of erotica. I really liked the main characters of Ziggy and Wren. Wren is a fascinating man whose outward appearance and manner hides a totally different side to him. There’s a madcap wedding in Las Vegas, a missing bride and dear Ziggy desperately trying to find solutions to all these problems being thrown at her. What will fate hold for this engaging couple? Is the answer written in the stars? You’ll just have to read the book to find out. I really enjoyed this story and have no hesitation recommending it. It’s a perfect holiday read.

This is the first book of Marci Belle's that I've read, and won't be my last. Very enjoyable read.

Wren recognised Ziggy from his childhood luckily she doesn’t remember him. He’s hoping to change the past mistakes he made but will he have the chance?

When Juliette decides to get married her Cousin Ziggy of course is a Bridesmaid. Everything about this marriage feels wrong, starting with a very drunk bride before the wedding! Well they were all very drunk in the end. But then Juliette went missing. Hung over and tired, it's left to Ziggy to figure out where Juliette has gone, is she safe, is she dead? Enter Wren, head of security, hot, well built, and has a huge secret. When his boss decides Wren should be the one to assist Ziggy, it creates problems for Wren. There is a little bit of everything in this story, and this story is everything! I've read all 3 books from Marci, all completely different and all completely excellent!

Do you know that feeling of wanting to read a book for God knows how long and you keep texting the author begging for it? Well, that was me for a couple of weeks now. I've been impatient for this book and you can imagine the way I was feeling when it popped up in my kindle... Excited doesn't even cover it... I was ecstatic, insane, curious, anxious... You name it... And all at once.
This way you can see the impact this author have in me...
Marci Belle is guilty of all this... She's amazing with a pen and you will see that in each book she writes. Her writing is sweet and beautiful, raw and intense with a few hot stuff into the mix.
Bully is her latest release and it's the first book from the Devils of Eden series. This book tells the stories of Ziggy and Wren.
Ziggy saw herself in Vegas, alone and with a blurry vision. She doesn't know where she is or what had happened... She can only see glimpses of a hunk of a man willing to help her out...
Wren is the lead security guard to a mogul. He's flawless doing his job and doesn't take shi*** from anyone. One night on the job and he sees this beautiful drunk girl on the floor. But he knows something that she doesn't remember...
Oh boy... This was perfect.
Superb plot, very well written, super engaging and intense surrounded by a cloud of mystery and danger.
These two were made for each other, they were each other Kismet and it was beautiful to read about.
There were parts of the book that left me so freaking scared that I was fearing to keep reading but at the same time there were others that I wanted to get into the story and hold them or smack them if they kept that up...
Love, loyalty, second chances, and desire are very present as well as loss, betrayal, crime, and violence.
The hot scenes were hot as hell but the scary scenes were way too scary.
I loved every single chapter of it and I can't wait to read the next one.
Marci, will it take to long? I want more... I need more from not only them but also from the new characters you presented us with.

First book that I have read from this writer and it was interesting from beginning to end. So worth taking a chance on. Not what I expected at all. Wren is a part of the security of the hotel that Ziggy is staying in. These two share quite the past. But she doesn't remember that past. There is quite the chemistry between these two once they get together. You can easily see it. But her mother sees him and realizes who he is. Ziggy runs for home. Wren decides after some time to move to the same town that Ziggy is in and thank God that he does. Will these two finally get together or will Ziggy be taken from him once again? Will she be able to deal with the past that he put her through and be able to forgive him? I absolutely loved this storyline. There is just something about a enemy to lovers storyline. Ziggy and Wren are two amazing characters who clearly belong together. A great book from beginning to end. I would love to read more from this author.

Wren and Ziggy (the main characters in this book) have known each other since they were children except they were never friends. Wren viciously bullied her and the repercussions of that have followed them for years afterwards. Until a chance meeting years later brings them back into each others lives. For the way Wren bullied Ziggy i could have happily punched him and i wished Ziggy had done that. I loved the chemistry and in the end i genuinely wanted them to get together. Bully boy romance done good. Just great

Ziggy’s at the Eden Resort and wakes up on the floor to a hunky man helping her with no recollection of what went on. Things get worse when she finds out her friend is missing.
The Italians run this part of the world and Wren is one of the five Moretti security. Wren felt like he was dying inside, until he finds a drunk on the floor, that he knows is Ziggy, she didn’t recognise him and although he wanted to rip her clothes off he wanted to make sure that she was safe and maybe he could redeem himself for their past. With Ziggy’s friend missing Wren is assigned to help find her. He hasn’t got the courage to tell her he’s Marcus, the bully from her past, knowing she will hate him.
Ziggy can’t believe that the gorgeous security guard that helped her is going to help them find her friend, Wren seems familiar, but she can’t think she would forget someone that good looking.

Goes down as another off my 2019 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – A book set in Vegas.
So waking up still half drunk and disorientated on a casino floor in Vegas isn’t the best way to go. Good job a handsome sexy stranger is there to help her back to her room. But is he really a stranger?
Ziggy is in Vegas for her cousin Juliette’s surprise wedding. Back in her room to recover with a hangover she doesn’t expect her drunk as a skunk friend Charlie to fall on the bed next to her saying she’s lost Juliette right before passing. Not good when everyone seems to be in the same state of drunken forgetfulness – even the new groom. Juliette seems to have an erratic personality, but is it the reason for her being missing, or something else entirely? Time to get some help, handsome stranger where are you?
With a guest missing Wren (aka handsome stranger) is called in to help. Much to Ziggy’s delight. Well sort of as she tends to turn into a mute whenever she is around attractive men. So with Wren’s eyes on her she needs to up her game. She knows she should be focused on helping with information for finding Juliette as it’s not going to be plain sailing. After a sleepless night of no news it turns into a crazy day searching with mishaps and mayhem along the way. Throw in bubbling chemistry that can be seen a mile off and you’ll soon have a party. She feels she knows him and not just from the casino floor, she just can’t put her finger on it.
Wren is still in a bit of shock that the drunk woman from the casino is actually Ziggy. Someone from his past that he really needs to make amends with. The fact that she doesn’t recognize him yet could mean trouble later. Seems when they were children he picked on Ziggy something rotten. He wanted her attention but didn’t know how to handle his feelings. A prank that ended badly caused more harm than he thought but is this his chance of making amends?
Emotional rollercoaster with finding Juliette but being close to Wren helped a lot. Alone at last with troubles at bay it doesn’t take long for the passion to arise. One touch turns into a kiss and then its full steam ahead. “Ziggy, you don’t know what you’re getting into, but you’re going to fucking love it. I can guarantee that.” Seems they can’t get enough of each other in their passion bubble. But how long before the bubble bursts when she realises who he is.
The Vegas parts were a right laugh. Drunk skunks comes to mind with how we are introduced to them all. Juliette brings them together and Charlie brings some entertainment. What happens in Vegas doesn’t want to stay in Vegas this time. Kismet might be her tattoo but seems to be them as well. “If we are each other’s kismet, then the universe won’t stop me.” Everything always happens for a reason, even if you don’t see it right away. Even the danger aspects at the end where there to help create a hero moment for our guy Wren.
Good that you had duel POV’s so you could get a real feel for what they were both going through and how they always seemed to come back to each other, even if they didn’t know it at first. Interesting start to a series I would want to continue with. I’m guessing it could be Gabriel’s story next. Can’t wait to get inside his head.

After a sleepless night of no news it turns into a crazy day searching with mishaps and mayhem along the way. Throw in bubbling chemistry that can be seen a mile off and you’ll soon have a party. She feels she knows him and not just from the casino floor, she just can’t put her finger on it.
Wren is still in a bit of shock that the drunk woman from the casino is actually Ziggy. Someone from his past that he really needs to make amends with. The fact that she doesn’t recognize him yet could mean trouble later. Seems when they were children he picked on Ziggy something rotten. He wanted her attention but didn’t know how to handle his feelings. A prank that ended badly caused more harm than he thought but is this his chance of making amends?
Emotional rollercoaster with finding Juliette but being close to Wren helped a lot. Alone at last with troubles at bay it doesn’t take long for the passion to arise. One touch turns into a kiss and then its full steam ahead. “Ziggy, you don’t know what you’re getting into, but you’re going to fucking love it. I can guarantee that.” Seems they can’t get enough of each other in their passion bubble. But how long before the bubble bursts when she realises who he is.
The Vegas parts were a right laugh. Drunk skunks comes to mind with how we are introduced to them all. Juliette brings them together and Charlie brings some entertainment. What happens in Vegas doesn’t want to stay in Vegas this time. Kismet might be her tattoo but seems to be them as well. “If we are each other’s kismet, then the universe won’t stop me.” Everything always happens for a reason, even if you don’t see it right away. Even the danger aspects at the end where there to help create a hero moment for our guy Wren.
Good that you had duel POV’s so you could get a real feel for what they were both going through and how they always seemed to come back to each other, even if they didn’t know it at first. Interesting start to a series I would want to continue with. I’m guessing it could be Gabriel’s story next. Can’t wait to get inside his head.

Wren is just gorgeous and has lived with his guilt over his behaviour from years before, towards Ziggy. He's a changed man... and after fate has Ziggy back in his life again after all these years, he's hell bent on making her his.
Ziggy feels a strong connection to Wren, but hates him with a passion, but she can't control her very sexually explicit dreams about him.
I Just loved this enemy's to lover's story.... 5 stars from me

What a great story, just up my street. Had me gripped from page one. The sex scenes were written really well and the love story itself took some great twists and turns. Thanks again for another great read.

Bully... not so much.
