Ugly, repulsive and mean-spirited hospital potboiler. Almost identical to author Gray’s later (and even shoddier) ‘Doctor’s Desires’ only featuring more surgery, more meaningless violence and even more insultingly reactionary smut. ‘The Young Doctors’ wants to titillate readers with a ridiculous level of prurience and then expects them to smile smugly when those same characters are cruelly punished.
