Everyone knows the stories about naïve girls being taken by beautiful monsters.

Often the monster is a tortured soul with a fucked up past, but even then, that monster is redeemable.

This is not one of those stories.

My monster revels in the carnage he creates.

Our story is not one where good prevails and the villain becomes a hero.

My reality is dark.
His demons are darker.

And though I love my monster, this is no fairytale.
There is no happily ever after.

A Dahlia Saga Novel
This Saga contains extremely dark themes.

Each book can be read as a complete standalone.

4.5 "psycho sick love?"
I'm a killer, and that doesn't bother me.

This trilogy complete set consists of three parts/books - Mercy, Bound and Released , in all of them we are following the story of Morgana, a young woman whose life was a torment from the need to self-inflict wounds, and medicating herself. She didn't think of herself as normal, but as a freak and was a recluse of a sort but could still hold her own in any given situation. She came from money but that was only a burden on her conflicted soul, so the moment when Julian Andreous saw her, the long strategized plan was set in motion. Her life was suddenly his, to own, break, ruin, destroy, hurt
Won't ever let you go. can't say you weren't warned. I want you right now Morgan. I want you very...fucking badly. And when I take you, it's going to hurt. But I can make it hurt in all the right ways.

in his sick and twisted mind, she was the perfect pawn to fulfill the blanks in the most gross, vile, horrid display of ruthless/deviant power.
They weren't a mafia family, and I wouldn't call it organized crime. It was a family rumored to have a madness that ran in their blood. Whack jobs that dabbled in everything from real estate to shit that made people disappear.

Julian and his brothers led a fucked up business of live streaming of twisted sexual mutilations and gore fucking of women and men, that rich people of deprived sexual and other tastes would pay to watch. The whole business was also a cover for all the crime, vile, murdering actions conducted by the members of the Andreous family for years...
How do you get away with this? Killing so many people?

This started long before me...

the deeper Morgana falls under Julians dark influence, the deeper she's lost to herself, and the deeper the secrets come out to play, with her mind
He fed a part of me I was no longer strong enough to delude myself into thinking I could go without.

It was too late, he breached my fragile perimeters and infiltrated my system

sick of being used in this mindfuck of a game, where she doesn't know where she stands, she 's forming a plan that would finally led her to freedom BUT would it be enough to set her free? From him?
I'm still sick, needy masochist who uses you as a stand in for my drugs, and you're still a sadist.

and that is the biggest delusion of them all, the sick game played out in a way that took one's obsession out of the equation but at what cost? and was it worth it?

This is NOT a romance in a classical sense of the word. Their sexual/emotional relation is twisted, deprived, and vile and one can easily slip into the darkness thinking there might be a little redeemable line, somewhere...but, don't be fooled, it's still very dark, after all.

so, what's there left to say?

I am both thrilled and stunned.

Thrilled cause I liked the rush through out the whole book, this twisted sick interchangable actions between the two main characters and the side action, this sick family does, cause honestly, there's no justification.

Stunned, cause to tell you the truth, It always seems to amaze me how far one's mind and imagination can go, and how far mine can take!

They are monsters. And you won't like any of them. You are not supposed to like them. But looking at this whole trilogy as one fucked up mozaic constructed to shock, raise goose bumps and twisted sense of rush, makes this book a champion of the mission completed.

what I found missing is the more visible "change" form of the characters, cause it's a detail, one might miss, but they do tend to slip from mere sick psychos towards the solace of the gore world, the only world they know of. And that's where I found it missing, I didn't feel that transfer. I wasn't supposed to care and I don't but , considering the end, I felt like the only character that could actually have that "change" wasn't allowed to go through with it.

This was absolutely insane

source.gif

I mean what a sick and twisted playground The Chateau Dahlia actually is.
It was just so fucked up and wrong and I devoured every deliciously depraved word.
This really is a story for those with a strong stomach and a deviant streak.
Julian weaves a wicked wanton web to lure his prey, setting his trap ready to spring shut when the time is right, ensnaring Morgana in all his malevolent mercy.

5dd951490f6380ba5e54f7f75b75db84.gif

So Julian can sense the skewy moral compass in Morgana, his plan? to nurture and stoke that flame until it shines as bright as his own and he has an equal to stand by his side.
He just didn't count on the insane connection between them that sings to his sadist and in turn, feeds her inner masochist leaving it sated and sane.
So this is full of very dubious and non-consent throughout and involves some extremely questionable behaviour.
I mean these people are seriously sick I cannot stress that enough, there is hardcore everything in this book and nobody is ever really redeemable not even Morgana.

tumblr_inline_mhk9y7Q3yR1qz4rgp

I adore that this is incredibly unapologetic, and man when Julian and Morgana get freaky that shit is seriously insane.
And my god that shocking finale ( I have read depravity previously so had an inkling) but still seriously what a play.
Bravo, round of applause from me.

giphy.gif

Poor Morgana is in so deep she feels there no way forward.
I wish she could have pulled on her reserves more than she did.
There were also some unanswered questions that I would have liked some closure on as well.

original.gif

So yeh really adored this myself but I like them a lot on the psychotic side.
Please heed my warnings on this one it's seriously dark, not grey but black as night.
This is not a romantic love story or a girl redeems boy.
It's a story of monsters that stay that way and certainly doesn't pull its punches.
If you like that kinda thing then this one is a sure thing.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Macabre: A Dahlia Saga Novel.

descriptionThis cover is alright. It's a little boring. The book was so f@cked up it needs a cover that reflects that! *lol* The composition is slightly off. I would have moved the author's name to under "THE COMPLETE TRILOGY." I do like the way the designer did the title.description

descriptionSomehow saying I enjoyed this one sounds ALL kinds of wrong. It was like jumping on the depraved train to crazyville. Enjoy it I did though (for the most part). This may be the darkest "romance" book I have read to date. That said, I wouldn't really call this romance. More like movie type horror porn.

I was sucked in from page one, and like a train wreck, I could not look away. I am pretty sure every character in this book was f@cked up majorly. I found it well written. It had a nice pace to it. It had twists and turns. It had hot sex scenes (if slightly disturbing). It had murder. It had gore (seriously DO NOT eat while reading this book). It had ZERO likable characters, but they were certainly INTERESTING characters.

description

So why not 5-Stars you ask? I wasn't a fan of the ending. Obviously, I didn't expect unicorns farting rainbows, but I found the last few chapters confusing and full of unanswered questions that I really wanted the answers to. That said, there is going to be a spin-off book (and I will be ALL over it) featuring , so perhaps those questions will be addressed in that book.

This one gets two depraved thumbs up from me but heed the hell out of those warnings. If you have any triggers at all just looking at this book will send you into shock. *lol* If you love your books on the dark and twisted side then this one will be right up your alley!description

Genre: Erotica (Dark)
POVs:
Triggers: Yes.

Twenty-one year-old Morgana Sanchez knows that she's not a normal girl. There's a darkness within her soul that can't be abolished and suppressing the need to let it overtake her is a daily battle. Morgana's first date with Julian Andreou introduces her to another world where there are no limits or boundaries on what the wicked human mind can conjure up for sport.

I loved the premise of this story and the author's warnings associated with this book coaxed me into reading it! The first few chapters piqued my interest, but...

 photo IMG_4122_zpsjhvibfns.gif

I craved more depth within this story! The characters were okay--I didn't like or hate them. Their unpredictable behavior was very entertaining and kept me glued to this book! I wanted to be fascinated by the thought process behind all of Julian's heinous actions, but he was a two-dimensional character at best and mostly focused on satisfying his libido. My biggest issue with this trilogy was that the focus seemed to be on shocking the reader but not providing much of anything else. Great for the horror value, yes, but very limited substance/depth to balance out the story. I'm a fan of rich characterization in conjunction with the dark storyline and this story fell short for me. The upside? I loved the ending because it further cemented the idea that true evil never really dies...

 photo IMG_5167_zpsqn4gphvg.gif

Other issues?

The noticeable editing issues (sentence fragments, spelling issues, choppy dialogue, free floating quotation marks to signal the start of a sentence but not present at the end of the sentence, the lead female character's name alternating between "Morgan" and "Morgana," etc.) forced me to repeatedly re-read sentences and considerably slowed down my reading pace. Minor issues, yes, but highly distracting.

▷ Overall, this was an okay story. It's not the darkest book I've read, but it was an interesting journey!

I had to take my rating off as I didn't like where the story headed to in the fourth book. I am someone who can't enjoy a series when the main MC ends up with another person and it makes me uncomfortable. I will leave it as no rating.

P.S - Natalie, please, find a good editor.

I'm so disappointed in this book. The characters were so flat, and the plot thin and contrived. I usually love dark themed romance but without well thought-out characters it was just unnecessary gore.

You have a causion here. It is not a dark romance, it is EROTIC HORROR romance. Since I hopped of the causion I mention this first.

Morgana, a young woman was kidnapped by Julian entangling herself in pain and suffering. But that's not unfortunate. Julian knows Morgana is a masochist forcing her to involve in horrors that she never imagined. Julian is fucked-up, depraved and insane ensaring Morgana in his sadistic plays, feeding her inner masochist and twisting it further from her moral thoughts. This book follows through under-rated, extremely questionable behaviour and psychotic imbalance.

I devoured the book and really appreciate to the extend Natalie Bennett turned the book. The extend to pure malice.

There are lots of cruelty and non consent. If you can't stomach it leave the book and move onward. Don't read a few then find it unsettling and complain.

What the fuck did I just read? This book is disgusting. The content is horrific. It’s badly written, it’s contradictory and it’s depraved.

The main character is two-dimensional and has the common sense of a spoon.

The love interest is a deranged serial killer that needs locking up.

How so many people enjoyed this drivel is beyond me. This is clearly a rip off of 50 Shades of Grey, except the Christian Grey character is a murdering psychopath rapist.

And the plot... what plot? It doesn’t make sense! It’s not cohesive, there’s no structure and there’s absolutely nothing driving the story forward except for events thrown in for shock value. And there’s a whole series?

It might be irrelevant, but did the author even hire an editor? The book is littered with grammar and spelling mistakes. There are even sentences that are missing words. I mean, how did any of the people that read this miss that?!

I don’t mean to come off as rude or mean but this book is just awful.

This is such a deliciously dark read, one of the darkest I've read. It's twisted, bloody, and so so good. I absolutely love that Julian is so unapologetic in what he enjoys; he knows right and wrong but chooses his own path. The sadist in him feeds the masochist in Morgana.

I am beyond intrigued by The Chateau Dahlia and absolutely love this family. If you want a very dark twisted read then this is definitely it. I can't recommend this whole series enough but be warned it is graphic and not for the faint of heart.

Morally bankrupt

One of the most twisted, probably the darkest, morally bankrupt characters is Julian. I don't even know what to think about what I just read and I read a lot of dark books.

Julian is sexy, dangerous, sadistic, and so effed up it will make your brain hurt. Chateau Dahlia is the ultimate house of horrors. And Morgana... masochist to Julian's sadist.

I can't even leave a proper review right now. I need to process, lol.

This is a series you don't want to miss! There is mental health issues, murder, and rape. There is so many twists and turns, that at the end you feel the whiplash. It's dark, twisted, demented, sexy, and very intense. This story will make you cringe like no other.

A broken girl named Morgana has had it hard as far back as she can remember. She looses her family and comes across Julian, together they are on the path of destruction. This is about two messed up people coming together. This is a game to some, to others this is a nightmare that wont end.

I was honored to receive this Trilogy for an honest review

After reading just one book by Natalie Bennett, I knew I was hooked. I was really excited to start the Dahlia saga and dive into the darkness.
And darkness it was! I felt like I was on a downward spiral of madness and depravity, and yet, I was powerless to turn away. It was like I had a dangerous fascination with these characters and everything that they did/thought. I was on the edge of my seat as I watched each move and counter-move.
OMG the ending...and then OMG that epilogue! I need to know more and now! Wow!

Is it bad that I loved Julian's craziness? Is it bad that I wish Morgana was a little stronger? Don't get me wrong... I felt for her. She was struggling both mentally and physically. And she didn't know to deal Julian. He was always seemed to be five steps ahead. The sex scenes in the story was utterly explosive. Julian was the sadist. While Morgana was the masochist. They feed off each other.

The ending... Damn... The ending had to happen but I wanted more. The author creates dark twisted characters that you hate to love. She creates a story that sucks you in and feeds your dark heart.

There is a tangled web of deceit and lies that will unfold.

Morgana and Julian are depraved and twisted human beings, this is their dark twisted love story. Where it will end I don't know but I know not all is what it seems and everything is not always rainbows and unicorns! This is a wonderfully dark, twisted start to this depraved saga!!!

Dark, deviant, disturbing and yet absolutely fascinating!
Now, these words pretty much describe all of this authors work, but there are some that just go a tinsy bit further and it’s only the beginning.

Julian and Morganna fascinated me. Julian is dark, twisted and yet loves in his own deviant way and it’s hard not to be intrigued by him and how he views the world he lives in. Morganna I really liked. She has her own sickness, if that’s how you want to look at things, but is a good person that is forced into a world that fascinates and repulses her at the same time and it was easy to empathize with her and all she had to go through as she navigated her new reality. Their journey is a disturbing one, but one that showed that they had a sort of flow together that made them stronger and weaker at the same time. And as for that ending, that I didn’t see coming but am definitely looking forward to seeing what happens next for them.

Macabre is a re-issue/update of Mercy, which I did not read though I have dove into this world before thanks to Depravity, so I cannot comment on any changes and if they mad the story better or worse, but I can say that I enjoyed the crazy depravity of the world and can’t wait to visit it again!

OK so this book was weird . These people were all sick and disgusting and I couldn't believe some of what I was reading. This is not for the faint , does NOT have a hea. That being said I did read all three books in one day. I was disgusted but had to see how their story ended. Take these warnings seriously. This is the darkest book I have ever read.

Wow didn’t realize I had already read this and it was almost exactly a year ago . I think I’m more seasoned on dark reads now because as weird as it is it wasn’t bad the second time around . I have read a few books by Natalie Bennett now and if you’ve ever read one you know her head is a dark and twisted place to be. I have never read a writer who could tell stories and come up with mindfucks like she does. It is astounding and a little scary. I can’t ever put her books down and usually read whole series in one sitting if they are available. This lady is one twisted gal and is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors !

No, No, No..... I'm really disapointed by this book, I liked Darling Dark and since I prefer my reads to be in the dark side and my H to be villain antiH, I decided to give it a try. But while reading, I was under the impression that the story was uselessly gory and without any purpose or logic..... Anyway I'll keep giving Natalie Bennett's books a chance in the future, I think she can do better.

I got caught up in this book so quickly that I was over halfway through the book before I realised it!
This was the first book I’ve read by Natalie Bennett and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was one of those where you had a couple of ideas in your head as to which way it was gonny go but you weren’t sure right up until it actually happened, lol.

Not only that but there was a twist that I just did not see coming.
And let’s be honest, when you read as much s we do, there are very rarely surprises any more, right?

JULIAN
I should hate this man. I really should.
But instead, I’m wishing I could snag a psychotic killer of my very own. *shakes head disapprovingly*

Julian is a very dangerous, very intelligent and very sexy man. With a lack of apathy and an extremely high sex drive, lol.

It runs in his family.
The men of this family got me changing my knickers, peeps!

He and his family run a haven of sorts for the sick and twisted wealthy people out there.
It’s a place where you can come and “play” until your heart’s content. As long as you have the money.
Think of the movie Hostel. But better (of course).

When Julian sees something he wants, he takes it. Simple as that.
And when he meets Morgana for the first time knows he knows she’s the one. She can see through the facade he puts on for the rest of the world and into his soul and he sees something equally as dark and disturbing in her.

But he was maybe a little ill-prepared for the way he catches the feels for her.
Not that that softened him in any way.
In fact, it made him worse.
With one look, I knew Morgana was a different kind of woman. She was the perfect mess of beauty and chaos. I saw her demons. I saw her darkness. It was all in her eyes

MORGANA
A lovely girl with a sadness inside and the feeling that she’s never really fit in.
She’s met Julian before but has purposely avoided him.

He has the power to make her squirm and squirt with just a look, lol.
And he emanates danger.

When she finally does go for dinner with him she realises she may be in way over her head especially when he quite abruptly tells her what he does for fun and business.

I like how different this one was.
There was no hiding what they did. Not really. The family was quite honest about it.
They also didn’t blame their hunger for torture on trauma or lack of love or abuse of any kind.
He was not crazy. None of them was.

They are alpha businessmen with little to no apathy.

Morgana wasn’t your usual victim either. She had her own darkness.
I knew right then that I was a terribly fucked up person. I think I’d always known. There was a list of shit that went on in my head—a list that would make people gasp and throw holy water on me if they ever found out what was on it.

SEX SCENES
He digs his fingers into my globes, pulling them apart even farther so he can dip his tongue inside me. It's so taboo...and so different...A moan unfurls in my chest and pours from my mouth, followed by another. The tip of his tongue moves in and out of my ass. He lets go of my left cheek and pushes two fingers into my pussy. My wet sex makes sloppy noises as he curves them inside me, finding my g-spot. His tongue never stops moving for a second. I begin to squirm, feeling a tingle in my lower spine. Julian makes a growly sound in his throat. With him controlling my movements and an overwhelming pressure building within me, I concentrate on him using me to fuck his face. "Jules." His name is a mere whisper. I want him inside me; I want him to make me hurt. "I know," he breathes out, digging his nails into my ass so hard he breaks the skin and draws blood. I moan in response. "More," I whine as he digs in deeper. His mouth leaves my hole, and his cock quickly replaces it. "More?" I know he doesn't expect an answer. His full length pushes inside my ass; he shoves my face into the mattress almost to the point of suffocation and starts to thrust with a brutal amount of force. I moan and groan into his silk sheets, breathing heavily through my mouth and nose. He slaps each cheek in quick succession before wrapping my long hair around his fist and yanking my head back. Tears pool in my eyes, spilling down my face. His hand knots in my hair, and the pain from how hard he's fucking me is complete delectation. My head is bent so far back it's hard to swallow; he arches my back even more, allowing him to go deeper. He fucks me as if he hates me.

FINAL THOUGHTS on MALICE by Natalie Bennett
I loved these two characters. In fact, I loved the whole family so I’m glad that there are more books with the rest of the family members in it.

Oh the holy dark and twisted book, this is everything I needed.

I first became addicted to Natalie's writing when I read Mercy, Bound, Released way back when. Malice is a rewritten tale of Julian and Morgana's tale.

Simply put, I'm still addicted to Bennett as an author. She still blows my mind with every single thing she writes. There are things you don't see coming. There are things that make you super uncomfortable, and you debate putting the book down. But you can't because you're compelled to go on. It's a train wreck you just can't look away from. You're glued to it until you understand how it's going to play out. By the very last word, you're gasping, wondering how the fuck anything happened.

Bennett still rocks my dark romantic adventures and I. Am. Here. For. It.
