I remember the first time I saw him.
He was different. He had a past. He had secrets. Dark secrets.
I wanted to know everything about him, but I wasn't prepared for the impact he would have on my life...or my heart.
He came out of nowhere and crashed into my life, causing chaos along the way, and I fell hard for him.
But a game of truth or dare would be our undoing.
He spun lies better than a spider's web and he broke my heart.
More than once.
I was too young to handle us.
I knew I should walk away but we were already in too deep.

Meet Kelsey Moon, her mom is making her life miserable, her sister wants her dead, she can't stand the boys at school, and every day she's trying to stay out of the way of the trio of mean girls that rule Radley High, so falling in love at eighteen just complicates things when the Torres brothers come crashing into her life.
She finds herself in the middle of Mitchel's world, caught up in his lies and his dark lifestyle. She starts to fall for him but things change after a stupid game of truth or dare which sets everything in motion.
Mitchel starts acting differently and hanging out with the girls that have been bullying Kelsey since kindergarten.
One minute he's chasing after Kelsey and telling her no one else matters the next he's all over the girl she hates.
Homework is the last thing on her mind.

**Warning** The Blue Raspberry Series is a continuous story and the chapters continue into each book and there will be cliffhangers!

**Recommended for ages 16 and over.**

First off Blue Raspberry is a completed series and I read them back to back so my review is the same for all of them because it’s encompassing.

So this series starts off as a contemporary YA/NA romance and as the main characters get older some of the scenes get more explicit. There’s 13 books in the series that feature some raw situations and I found that with each book ending I was hooked and needed to get into the next. It is fortunate that each book isn’t particularly long but written well enough that I didn’t feel like something was missing. I will say up until the last two books you will see that there is a continual back and forth pattern.

Kelsey and Mitchel’s story is a roller coaster and for the most part I find their toxic relationship frustrating because it’s alway back and forward between them and so many others get involved; it’s a mess.

Overall as a series I would give it a 4 out of 5 ⭐️ rating. They each brought a lot of feeling to the surface, I have laughed, cried and been frustratingly annoyed with some of the characters and the only reason why it’s not a 5 for me is because some it was too repetitive the characters weaknesses were played on a bit heavy for example Colt was way too forgiving, Kelsey and Mitchel both had this need to hurt each other and play on each other’s insecurities and by the end of the series I was still left with questions:
- what happen to Silas (I’m assuming he’s dead but could be wrong) he’s just gone !
- now I can read between the lines but I’m guessing it’s Paige and Boston right? What happens in their story?
- JT and Nessie are a package deal too what made her decide to be with him; how did this happen

Otherwise I loved the series but would really like to read some spin offs about the other characters.

This book reminded me of Stephanie Myers' Twilight, but without the vampires and werewolves. There was romance, suspense, teenage angst, parental disapproval and teenage situations. While it was slow starting it was a very compelling read. The male and female main characters were well written with the secondary characters adding so much to the story line. Will they hook up or won't they? Will parental concern break them up or will they do what they want? I have to say that the cliffhanger at the end frustrated me as I was really, really into what was happening and all of a sudden is was over.

A good read for fans of those romantic teenage movies from the 80's and 90's.

More information with these college students. More intriguing and more secrets. This is an ongoing series that peaks your interest into their lives.
