When Darkness Falls was a quick read. I liked it but I felt like everything happened too fast, as if the plot was on fast forward. While in some ways it's nice having a complete story in one book, I think this one would have been benefited being told over two books or more.
This book is...just silly. It hardly makes any sense. I was confused from the very beginning, because the prologue was a flashback to when her parent died. However the language and feel made me think she was a kid, but she was actually sixteen? I didn't like any of the characters, they had no depth, and I like my heroines smart. Julianne was not smart, and this book was not well written. A total flop.
This made me laugh and cry. It also made me have a stupid grin on my face that made my husband look at me funny. I could not put this down and it will definitely be one of those books that I go back and reread over and over. Julianne has lost a lot over the past year. But, soon she gets taken and finds out there is a whole other world out there.
i loved this story so hard!!! ahhh!! from start to finish i could not stop reading. i was emotionally invested and intrigued with this story and characters! i couldn’t turn the pages fast enough! Its fast paced and medium burn romance! loved it! I used my kindle unlimited to read this book❤️
About a girl who lost her folks, lived with a crappy aunt afterwards and then was kidnapped, fell in love with a member of the kidnapping family and was kidnapped again.
There was some inconsistency with her age in the story, but overall it was a very good read.
Alright, I freaking loved this book. I loved Julianne’s story and her being taken/saved by Leviathan and his family! Plus the love Levi and Julianne have... gah! Yes please! I also LOVED that there was a HEA ending!!
This was good, but quick. If this was made into a two or three, book series it could have been amazing. It was too rushed, and could have had more depth. However, that said, the writing was excellent and the characters well developed even though it was short
The mc was so easy to like. I was quickly sucked into her story. The plot was something different and new. It was refreshing. I really enjoyed this story which is suprising since I mostly read rh.
I had not previously read anything by AJ Anders but Amanda Perry is one of my "must read" authors. I now need to go read everything AJ Anders has written because this book was great. I found this to be a very creative way to depict vampire like characters without making them feel like so many books I have read before. The characters are well written and you truly feel like you are invested in their lives. This world is one I found to be real with just enough mythical elements to feel like a believable alternate reality. The only bit of the book that was not completely to my liking was the ending and that was only because it ended more abruptly than I would have preferred.
