Elliot Allen has known nothing but loss in her life. Becoming an orphan twice over, she has no one and fills her lonely days living vicariously through the adventurous stories of love in the historical romance novels she adores. Little does she know that a trip to visit the Scandinavian lands once occupied by Vikings would catapult her back nearly one-thousand years in the past like a heroine in one of her favorite books. Thorin is the newest chieftain of his clan after the unexpected death of his eldest brother. Used to life as the baby brother, he's done nothing but chase skirts and glory in battle. Is he really ready to lead an entire village? And would anyone try to challenge his seat as the leader of the richest clan on Iceland? Just as Thorin attempts to find his way as the chieftain, a mysterious woman with skin of bronze and hair as dark as night is dragged before him. Now as his captive, her beauty sets his blood on fire. Her spirit challenges him at every turn. And his weakness for her threatens his precarious place as chieftain. Ellie's fear of losing those she loves, jealousy and danger lurking around every corner, and being from two different worlds could rip them apart. Will Ellie stay? I was born and raised in Joliet, IL. I wrote my first story in the 3rd grade and fell in love with creating my own world. But throughout the years I have lacked the discipline to actually sit down and write. Even with a minor in Creative Writing (which should have been my major).
I have been a avid romance novel reader since Jr. High and have read hundreds. I have lived in Chicago, Japan, California and now reside in Arizona. And I wanted nothing more than to combine my love of romance, writing and traveling and put them in a book.
So one day out of the blue while in the middle of reading another book, the story that I had started months ago kept bombarding my every thought. Until I couldn't even continue to read the book I was in the middle of. I put down my Nook and picked up my laptop and about fifteen days later, I had finished my first draft of my manuscript. It was the most exhilarating moment of my life. To know that I finally did it. That I finally finished something that I had started. And now I'm and AUTHOR and PUBLISHER! I never would have thought that was possible three months ago. I just hope that everyone that picks up any of the books I write from here on out, enjoy them as much as I did writing them.

Extremely quick read that can be easily read in an afternoon. Unfortunately this was just an okay story for me. It's been a long time since I picked up a time travel romance and I was looking forward to this one, but I didn't get the enjoyment that I was hoping for.

I love interracial romance and viking stories equally. One of my favorites is an erotic time-travel romance Frozen in Time which came out a long time ago through Loose-Id. It was extended, given a new cover and title, The Viking Wants Forever.

Although this story isn't the exact same story, FIT felt like the blueprint for this one. From character names i.e. Thoren/Thorin, Jerrick/Eirick, Bjorn/Bjarni to character traits i.e. the hero in FIT has a facial scar he's embarrassed of. In this book, the heroine has a facial scar as well. Both heroes are required to marry to solidify an alliance. Both books have similar descriptions of settings and both heroines natural hair are described as black clouds!!!! This would've been great if I didn't get a sense of deja vu while reading it.

Just to add more fuel to this dumpster fire, the half-brother Dag is described exactly like the cover model on The Viking Wants Forever.

Holy sh*t, this was an amazing ride! It was like an episode of Vikings but with a cute black girl in the mix!

I loved the heroine, Elliot, and her growth throughout the narrative. She goes from mousy librarian, holding on to past trauma, to a badass b*tch who says things like: "We could always put a crown on your severed head as it rests on a pike. 🤷🏾‍♀️"

Thorin is also my new book boyfriend.

This book was much heavier than I anticipated, but so very good. I loved both Ellie and Thorin. I was rooting hard for their HEA. There were a few inconsistencies that kept it from being five stars, but I liked this one a lot! On to book 2- Present. Happy reading!

I loved everything about Bound Throughout Time:Past. This book touched my soul. I connected to Elliot's character and all that she'd endured. I understood her hesitance to step out of the lonely life she'd been living. A life of solitude because it felt safe not feeling anything. Most times we fool ourselves into believing saftey in not being hurt because the loss seems like it's too much to bare. But, in the end when love is accepted and given in return. You making memories that will feed each of you a lifetime. Living in the now and enjoying the love gifted can be absolute bliss💚

I love me some vikings!

5 stars for this “awesome” time travel bwwm viking romance. I loved Ellie who was quiet in spirit but a “badass” in her heart. And let us not forget that swoon worthy HAWT viking warrior with a gentle soul Thorin. Where can I sign up to get one. A must read people!

I tried reading it.....

...and forced myself to do so. It was not very well written. I skipped so much of the book... Very predictable and boring. I'll be skipping this author on the future.

Okay story

Pretty decent story. Elliott was exasperating totally. Thorin truly loved her. I would have loved to drop in on the friends Elliott left behind in the future to learn how they were coping with her disappearance.

Why does everyone assume rape was rampantly happening in every historical fiction novel. Earlier people were still people. Some were religious and some were decent people. A modern woman can time travel without the threat of rape. It's a novel concept I know. Look I wanted to love this as an Indian woman since the character was half Indian. But the character barely felt Indian. Anyway that's just a minor pet peeve cause it seemed like the author just added that as a diversity bonus point. I like diversity but make your characters actually feel like the race they're supposed to be portrayed as. The book was full of cliches and the sex wasnt even written well to distract from the plot. All in all I stopped reading at page 73 and skipped to the ending. Honestly you didnt miss much. Also the character acted really dumb at the beginning along with the male protagonist. Why the hell didnt she just say her ship sunk and she got marooned as a lie?? Also why the hell were the captive and male character naked just to be naked so their hormones would take over and fuck?? I know it's a erotica but at least make it make sense. Some fanfic writers have written better erotic than this. Why is this so highly rated????

Sweet but a little clunky

Okay, so I like my heroines with a lot of grit. Basically they are sweethearts that are confident, can be submissive, and have a body count. Elliot IS NOT THAT GIRL. She is so timid that I couldn’t really connect with her character although I could truly empathize. She suffered a lot. But I have to admit that I was like, honey go to therapy. But she and Thorin work. This book is an easy read, however be prepared for non-smooth transitions. I almost labeled Elliot too stupid to live, but she showed out at the end. 3 stars.

Good Read!

This was the first book I've read like this and I enjoyed it. The storyline was good and I enjoyed the main two characters. I wanted to know what happened to the brother.

It’s hard to make a time travel romance not be corny and sound stupid, and it takes a skilled author to make the dialogue believable and engaging. This one failed miserably. Two stars only because the build up was creative.

This was sooo good... This one was so good I didn't want it to end. I was hoping Jerrik would some kind of way come into the story but Thorin seemed like a good match for her. I can't wait for the next one.

Guns blazing!

If you decide to step back from your craft, to take time and not just pump out anything, when you come back, this is how you do it. First of all Vikings!!! A sexy, fierce viking with a soft side for his woman. Yesssssss! If that's not enough add in a bit of drama, excitement and Twyla heat, you've got a winner. I'm greedy and I wish it were about ten more characters, but beggars can't be choosy. Great start to a new series, I can't wait to see what's up next.

Could have been a great read.

Enjoyable read; however, could have been so much better. So, the h refused to deal with her feelings without trying to find a way to get back to her time and very conveniently in another town, a town she did not know existed, "felt" like she could find her way back to her time. Like really? Authors need to take care of the details; details that makes a read into a great read.

Saw this on someone’s Facebook page and couldn’t resist. I’ve read a couple of other books by the author, which I enjoyed, so I thought ‘why not?’ I enjoy time travel stories, and who can resist a hot Viking?

The story was just okay to me. While I liked Thorin, I never really warmed up to Elliott, although I’m not really sure why. I liked the way the author pulled off having Elliot travel back in time. I don’t mind wild, over the top occurrences in books, but it’s nice when these kinds of events leav3 you wondering if they really could happen. If that makes any sense.

Anyway, this was an entertaining story. Curious as to what’s next, since this is Book 1, so I’m pretty sure I’ll be back for Book 2.

I was so excited when I read about this book bc I really like time-travel romances, but this one kind of missed the mark for me. I found Elliot’s character to be contradictory and even kind of annoying at times. She mentioned she rarely even thinks of cuss words but a few scenes later she’s screaming “f*ck you”, she’s terrified to the point that she’s trembling and stuttering but when he asks her name she answers with sarcasm? The scene with them sleeping together for the first time sealed the deal for me. DNF unfortunately.

Cute

It took me two attempts to read this book. But I still have it 4 stars but it was interesting and sweet. Just too a while to get to the point and I am a bit tired of the poor lonely adult woman with no friends stories. However I am glad that I did not disregard the book and I was able to watch Ellie transform into a powerful woman. Well done

I really enjoyed this book more than your average bodice ripper romance. Somethings were not explained or followed up on but the sex scenes were written well and the plot flowed well!

A slow start sizzles into a love story that defies the past and future. The plot is not new, but you will enjoy the characters.

I enjoy this author's stories. This one has a slow start, but picked up once the main characters met. Dag needs a storyline immediately.

Ok so I really wanted to love this and I think I would’ve if the dynamics between Elliot and Thorin were different.

I read about… 25% of the book and skimmed the rest of it because I was curious what happened but I just really didn’t want to full on read it.

Like I said how Thorin treated Elliot and the drama in the book wasn’t my cup of tea. I don’t necessarily think its a bad book. In fact I’m jealous of people who enjoyed it fuck you I want what u have

Elliots character was also kind of unstable. Like she went from being a survivor, a recluse and shy, to kind of being a cliche damsel locked in this dudes bedroom while he was just weirdly horny when she was crying her eyes out. And maybe in the past I’ve been able to power through and enjoy books that started off this way but I’m just not in the mood rn 3

That being said I’m gonna check out the 2nd book because I think I might like that one better!

There were notable editing errors and like I AM NO NITPICKER ABOUT EDITING AND BAD GRAMMAR USUALLY but the commas made me feel confused because it was like they were randomly sprinkled in at the wrong time and place.

Elliot (or Ellie) is a reclusive librarian that finds herself catapulted into the Viking age whilst on a cruise ship tour in Norway. Thorin is the new ruler of the village that is responsible for ensuring the safety of his people, even against the beautiful, mysterious woman that has arrived in his time and unwittingly captured his attention and heart.

I found myself engrossed in this story when I discovered it in quarantine. I’d been feeling quite anxious and hadn’t read a story that was holding my attention until this one which was great because as I’m sure a lot of people have been feeling during lockdown I really needed an escape and that happened to be Viking Norway, lmao.
This story was really a JOURNEY. The characters dealt with a lot, especially Ellie, but it was really nice to see their love prevail.

Thorin and Ellie

I like the the chemistry of the leads. Ellie made me want to fight her sometimes but I understood her fear. Ellie was stronger than she thought. Thorin was loving and had more patience than any Viking I've heard of, but I guess love will do that to you. I'm curious about Dag. Hopefully he gets a story.

This is a new author for me and I love her!

This was a great book. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and it kept me enthralled until the end. The first thing I did after finishing was buy more of her work!

This was a fun read! I need a man like Thorin in my life because his love and devotion to Ellie was wonderful. Ellie was very frustrating at times even though I understood where she was coming from. I felt the ending was a bit rushed as well but I still loved this book.

Definitely Fastasy

This book definitely sucks you in and it is hard to put down. The sex scenes were a little steamy. Some of the storyline was a little far fetched but that is why it is a fantasy.

Healing vs running

This book showed me how toxic sorrows can cripple your life. PTSD is rampant in the African American community... Rape, racism, and poverty has broken too many sister's mind.
