The only woman I ever loved died in a car crash. Or so everyone told me. But a decade later, I find her alive. Her memory is gone, and she believes my enemies are her family. Unraveling what happened could get both of us killed. But giving her up is unthinkable. I'll protect her and make her mine forever. No matter the cost.
"Sins completely blew me away! It made my heart ache for both Tony and Ivy, and the twists and turns compelled me to gobble this book up in one sitting. I'm a sucker for a tormented hero, and nobody writes one better than Nadia." — J.S. Scott, New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!!!! This book has engrossed me from the beginning to the end. I don’t have one bad thing to say about this book, it is so different, but so intriguing! I have loved every second of it!
I had no idea it had a second book so I was shocked and almost mad because I thought it was only one book. But now I’m even more excited because the story isn’t over!! I can’t wait to dive into the next one!!!
I’ve been a Nadia Lee fan for quite a while, but this book, the start of a new trilogy, is one of the best I’ve read of hers. I’m desperately awaiting book 2!
Here’s what made this one so good…. Tony. Tony. Tony. …. and I wasn’t a huge fan of his from Ryder’s story and admittedly I was suspicious when this story featured Tony. … boy was I wrong.
The reader is treated to Ms. Lee’s terrific writing style where the story goes back and forth between the characters… Ivy and Tony. Tony is singularly focused on Ivy from the start and each scene brings out heart melting dialogue and insights of how enchanted Tony is. As I’ve come to expect, the writing is engaging and captivating, but this story, and Tony’s love for Ivy is even more sigh worthy than her other books.
Their life tragedies that have similar paths, immediately captured my attention. The supporting characters, both sympathetic and malevolent, bring the story to life.
This story, a furthering of her other stories, really pulled at me. I’m not a big fan of cliffhangers, but I’m waiting for Secrets and Mercy with baited breath.
Ok wow! This book! I just speechless. I do not understand why the numer of raters are so low for this book. This book is amazing.
The romamce between Tony and Ivy is just so perfect. Tony is a very lonely individual. He has dark past. He lost his sister and his mother refuses to forgive him. Then enter Ivy. A beautiful innocent Ivy. She is the center of Tony world. When Ivy got into car crash, Tony world collapsed with her.
The story is split between past and present. I do love the angst, the plot and the mystery surrounding the story. Simply to put, this book is incredible.
The story was so beautifully written and left me an emotional mess, but in such a good way! You can actually feel the angst and the pain between the characters. The love and the depth of the characters of Anthony and Ivy, it really gets to you. I love how Ms. Nadia was able to coincide this story with all her past novels and the appearance of some well missed characters from other books too. It definitely left me craving for more and I just can’t wait to find out what happens next! Thank you Ms. Nadia! I have received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Sins is book 1 in her new trilogy and boy, does it pack a emotional powerhouse wallop. Book 1 is broken up into two parts and I'm glad author Nadia Lee wrote the story this way. Alot of ground to cover and when it comes to Tony and Ivy's rollercoaster ride of emotions. Their relationship is one of heartache, heartbreak, angst, pain and loss. This book has a cliffhanger that has me dying to know what happens next between Tony and Ivy. Book 2 will continue this emotionally charged love affair and continue to give the readers more heat and feels.
Nadia lee is always one of my favorite authors her books are extraordinary, I loved Sins Tony and Ivy story and emotions init makes you feel breathless at times, Nadia never disappoints me...i just can't understand what lady can be so cruel to her on blood and flesh ...how can she hate one because of other...no words ....Shirley pryce was much much better than Margot....
Tony is become my favorite after Dane...off course Dane is always first....
This is an amazing story that will draw you in form the first page through to the last. There is mystery and intrigue that you will want to get to the bottom of. This book is part of a series so you will meet characters from earlier books but if you have not met the characters prior, it will not deter from the story. This book continues in another book but do not let that stop you from reading this amazing story by Nadia Lee. I volunteered to read and review this book.
SINS is the first book in the series and it absolutely gutted me. Anthony and Ivy’s story was filled with heartbreak from the beginning to end, but you can tell that they will get where they should I’m the next 2 books. I hope. I cannot wait for SECRETS and MERCY to come out. Nadia is an amazing story teller, and once again she has written characters I have fallen in love with.
Wow, just wow! I have read many books by Nadia Lee but this book is definitely on another level. Meaning, the storyline of the book is only a small part of absolutely sexually fascinating and intriguing romance! Ivy Smith and Tony Blackwood are insatiable. The past sins of the Blackwood family continues to follow Tony when returns from boarding school and college. Ivy is recently introduced to Tony and slowly begin to see that there are some hidden “truths” in the family. When the sexual tension increase between Tony and Ivy, will they get through the “sins” of the past? An absolute must read🥰
What can I say I love this book but it is part of a Trilogy so this is book one. I been a fan and been Looking forward to Tony(Anthony) and Ivy story. This book is pack with A lots of emotion . You will fall in love with Tony and Ivy story. Don’t worry with the cliffhangers because will get the next book by mid June.
Nadia Lee never disappoints. I love all her books. She is my top 3 favorite author and I just can’t get enough of her amazing stories. Love the fact that just when I think she can’t give me more on a character she proves me wrong and gives beautiful insight. Sins is a must read!!
The first part happened when the MCs were young; the h was 18 and the H was 21. I avoid YA and even most NA books like the plague now, so I didn't enjoy that part much. I understand why the author set up the book and ultimately the series like that, but it didn't mean I had to like it. The H's mother was also too evil and H's father too ridiculous in his willingness to blame his son for his wife's lack of human decency. So, other than the engaging writing style, the first part had almost nothing going for it.
The second part was more interesting, but the little mystery there was was too easy to figure out. Plus the safety
I skipped all the intimate scenes. At least there were too many. We'll see how the rest of the story plays out.
Tony and his family suffered a terrible tragedy when he was a child which caused a rift between him and his mother. Ivy is a distant relative who lost her parents and has been embraced by Tony’s family. They connect over her skill with the piano and fall in love until tragedy strikes once again and his life will never be the same.
Years later he meets a woman who bears a striking resemblance to the one woman he has loved and never forgotten but she doesn’t remember him . He is determined to uncover the trust which leads us on an emotional journey that ends in a cliffhanger that leaves us wanting to know more of what the future holds for this couple.
Book 1 of trilogy. Series must be read in order cliffhanger ending. Book is set in 2 parts. Part 1 is the meeting of Hero and heroine, part 2 is reconnecting after separation. No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine. Secondary characters who I wasn't sure if they have had their stories in previous books by the author. Tortured Hero. In part 2 the heroine has amnesia as the blurb pointed out. Hero is made out to be a bit of a player but book 2 reveals he was celibate in their time of separation. Cliffhanger.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I’ll start by saying I’m a tough critic. I don’t give out many five-star ratings; a book has to really grab me by the throat to earn that designation. I’m an avid reader, and while I don’t review one-star or two-star books, and only occasionally review three-star books, I’ve read a plethora of stories that fall into those categories. Four-star books make up the bulk of my reviews (these are stories I love, but for one reason or another don’t quite rise to the highest level). Occasionally, though, I come across a five-star book like this one.
Let me also state I’m not a fan of cliffhangers as a general rule…except where Nadia Lee is concerned. I was completely entranced by her duet THE BILLIONAIRE’S CLAIM: OBSESSION (4.75 stars) and THE BILLIONAIRE’S CLAIM: REDEMPTION (an unqualified 5 stars). I’ll admit I waited until both parts had been released before buying and reading them because I’m a binge reader and hate waiting for the next installment. I’ve since learned that’s not fair to the author, so I’d resolved not to do that next time around…which is now.
I’ve been waiting for Anthony Blackwood’s story ever since I read another Nadia Lee duet, A HOLLYWOOD DEAL and A HOLLYWOOD BRIDE (which had both been released before I discovered Ms. Lee). So when I had the opportunity to read an ARC for SINS, the first book of a trilogy, I jumped at the chance.
SINS is an emotional roller coaster that tore my heart to shreds…then stitched it up…only to tear it apart again. I’m as invested in Anthony and Ivy’s love story as I was in Elizabeth Pryce-Reed and Dominic King’s romance in THE BILLIONAIRE’S CLAIM duet. I didn’t think Ms. Lee could match the emotional depth and intensity of that love story…but I was wrong. If anything, it’s better, and I devoured it in one sitting.
I hate spoilers so I don’t want to get into the details. Suffice it to say I don’t think anyone could be disappointed. SINS ends on an epic cliffhanger, and you’ll want to keep reading about Anthony and Ivy the way I do. Fortunately, Ms. Lee has scheduled the next installment, SECRETS, for mid-June (SINS is scheduled for release at the end of May). I’m hoping the trilogy’s last installment, MERCY, will follow shortly thereafter. I’ll be on pins and needles until then.
We are first introduced to Anthony Blackwood in A Hollywood Deal as Ryder Pryce-Reed’s Former Friend. The first book serves to gives readers a better look at his backstory. After a disclaimer from the author about Anthony’s story I prepare myself for an intense experience. Let’s just say the disclaimer was needed. After a childhood hunting accident involving his younger sister Katherine, he pretty much became the family’s black sleep. The only bright spot in his less than warm return home is Tony’s adoptive cousin & his mother’s Katherine “replacement” Ivy Smith. I won’t go into all the details, but I will say Anthony suffers another tragic loss this time involving Ivy. Also, his mother Margot is a true piece of work and outdoes previous characters’ mothers in any of the previous books. Fast Forward nine years & we are reintroduced to the version of Anthony in A Hollywood Deal. While still reeling his lost love, he meets Iris who is a ringer for Ivy. Of course, he starts to investigate to see it is just a “coincidence”. Of course, as they share happiness they begin to run into obstacles with a major one closing out Book 1. Although, the cliffhanger was expected it still didn’t decrease my emotional response in the least. The story will resume in Secrets the 2nd Book of the Trilogy. I love the appearances of previous characters especially the fan favorite Elizabeth’ s devoted “Assistant” Toylan. I can’t wait for all the twists and how the story continues in Secrets. Thankfully, readers don’t have to wait too long.
Oh My! This book has took me on a emotional roller-coaster ride. Never have I wanted to cry so much while reading a book. My heart literally felt like it was breaking as I read. There were the most sweetest moments in this book. There was a true happiness but it lasted briefly. Only to be ripped away. Then I was heartbroken again. I absolutely couldn't put this book down. I devoured every word. Nadia Lee, you have really out did yourself this time. This book is absolutely brilliant. I Love it so much. Never have I ever felt so much emotions before. I'm so sad to see this book end and can't wait for the next one. I really can't wait to see what happens next.
Lets just start off by saying Nadia Lee is an amazing writer and i love all that i have ever read of her books thus far. this book was an emotional rollercoaster from happy, sad loss, fear to any you can name in the book but in the end it leaves you wanting so much more, There is a 2nd book coming hopefully sooner then later lol. Ivy Smith and Tony Blackwood are insatiable. The past sins of the Blackwood family continues to follow Tony when returns from boarding school and college. Ivy is recently introduced to Tony and slowly begin to see that there are some hidden “truths” in the family. the sexual tension between these 2 is so high and hot... now to see if they can all get past the SINS of the past.... I 100% recommend this book. I volunteered to read an advance copy for an honest review.
Nadia Lee is an author whose books never fail to deliver. However, this one hit a whole new high! I have never wanted to crawl into a book and strangle a character as much as I did Anthony Blackwood's mother throughout the entire read. This story will have you all up in your feelings one minute, and ready to punch someone's lights out the next just to release some of the pent-up emotions it evokes. The characters are memorable and the story-line unforgettable. I give it 5 stars simply because Amazon won't allow me to give it more. Do yourself a favor and read this one. You won't regret it!
Nadia Lee is my go to author like comfort food; what a difference this first book is in the Sins trilogy! there is nothing comfortable in the lives of Anthony Blackwood and Ivy, the ‘adopted’ daughter of the Blackwood family; this book has dark secrets; ugly, confrontational feelings and emotions; at times I wanted to hug Margot, Anthony’s mother, grieving and inconsolable and most times I wanted to shake her for her hurtful words that hit one like barbs!
The unpredictability of this book caught me on the left foot and had me stealing time to read; All of you are going to ‘enjoy’ how Anthony loves – wholly and compulsively; Ms Lee has written another book that is soul satisfying and this ends in a cliff hanger! I am waiting for book two where I anticipate great reveals.
Nadia you have e done it again! This story, from the first chapter, has been a page turner and I couldn't put it down. Tony and Ivy's story has been edgy, fun, sexy and wonder. Their attraction is combustible. I can't wait for the next book to find out what is going g to happen, I hate the wait!
Wow, what a cliffhanger!! Tony has been cast aside completely by his parents with the only connection being his two brothers. All sympathy for his mother is gone. I can't believe the depth of her deception. I'm ready for the next installment. Highly recommend this book.
This book is pretty intense. It is broken up into two parts and those two parts are definitely needed. Tony and Ivy’s story is an intense one. There’s so many complex things going on at once and it makes you want answers. Sadly, the things you want answered the most won’t be answered in this book. This fantastic book ends on a cliffhanger and is book one of three. I didn’t expect things to be wrapped up nicely, but this was more of setting up the story and getting you hooked to the point of dying to read the next ones. I can’t say enough good things about this book and I eagerly await the next installment.
The first book in the Sins trilogy is stunning. I was instantly invested in this family and fell for Tony immediately. I felt all his emotions and just wanted to protect him.
These characters are disturbed and tortured by a tragedy that they cannot put behind them and each family member is handling it very differently. Their grief has been put on hold since Tony left. His re-emergence into their lives and his love affair with Ivy starts a chain of events, no one could have imagined.
As I was reading, so many different scenarios came to mind as to how this story could go, but the slow reveal of the behind the scene mechanisms that were involved in manipulating these characters was mind boggling. At first I thought of Ivy and Tony as a modern day Romeo and Juliet. The author even had her character equate herself with those characters. But this love/tragedy story is so much more than just unrequited love.
Nadia Lee broke my heart with Sins and hopefully she can put it back together in the subsequent books Secrets and Mercy.
Really enjoyed the first book in this trilogy. The characters caught my attention immediately and it's one of those books you start and don't want to put down. This book was full of heartache, deception, and love. Can't wait until the next book.
I didn’t really enjoy this book- it felt a bit too childish for me. The “I love you” dropped around 30% in, and I was just sitting there like… what am I reading?
The drama did hook me, but the pacing dragged, and by the middle, I wasn’t fully invested.
That said, I’ll probably still check out the rest of the series - maybe just skim through now that I know the story is spread across three books. I’m curious enough to want to see how it all plays out.
My biggest question is: did this story really need three books just to get the message across?
