Anyone can recover with help

I thought the honesty in this book was so amazing. I love that one day she no longer wanted to be a victim. Recovering takes a long time but she shows us it is worth it.

Perhaps the writing style is simple and straightforward. There’s no reading between the lines. Speir’s says what she means and I appreciate that she isn’t trying to be something she’s not. What is captivating is Speir’s experiences and her willing to be open about them.
