This book is EVERYTHING! I almost threw my iPad several times. Looking at my husband like why can't you be more like Knox.
Cried for the happy parts, screamed in anger for the sad. The descriptions and passion in this book had me swiping through instead of sleeping. I need the next book, hell I need several books.
If your looking for a bad boy with a heart of gold this is the book for you. It's just amazing how one person can change your life so drastically.
Aleisha Maree you got a fan for life!!!

This is the debut book for this new author, and I first want to say that I am so glad she decided to follow her dreams as an author because she has got some real potential!!
This is my completely honest and unbiased review:
Was this book perfect in every way? No. There were some small issues with the writing and it needs a lot of editing done, BUT with that being said, the story line is great! I don't do spoilers in my review and it's hard to talk about it without spoiling it, so I will just tell you that the emotions and feelings are strong in this book! It's titled Broken for a reason, and the author conveyed that perfectly. I actually cried a good bit at one point, and that doesn't happen very often. And of course the steamy scenes turned the heat up nicely!! So if you are willing to give a new indie author a chance, look past the grammatical errors and imperfections, and just give this book a try, you will definitely see what I mean!! Can't wait to get my hands on the next book in the series and can't wait to watch this author grow and develop into an even better author!!

As you embark into reading this book you will meet so many people and you will get to know them and you will feel what they are feeling at the time.
The first person you will meet is Knox Ambrose he is an MMA fighter and he is well known as the destroyer. He is like the new kid at school, you will see how he goes from being the shy one to being an open and honest person and you will see just how he shows his emotions towards other people.
You will meet Kash, they both grew up with their grandparents basically raised them. All anybody wants for this children is to have a better life then what they ever did. Just like parents they should just how much they loved both boys.
The next person you will meet on the way though this book is Sarah-Jane, and she is the type of girl that did not want to move from her town or away from her friends but she knew with the type of job her dad has she had no choice in the matter she had to go where her dad went. Sarah's father was Don Briggs and he was a senator and they were moving to New Jersey and he will be involved into the new outreach program that has been started with her mom being involved in juvenile crime.
All Sarah wanted was for her parents to see her as a teenager not as an American teen that is always in trouble she basically wants to live a normal everyday life and not letting the richie side of her come out.

Well this book was really different in a good way. It was hot and a bit naughty at points, really sad in others.
It is about a young couple with demons from their past trying to make a happy ever after together. Will they, or won’t they? You have to pick up this really interesting book to find out.
I loved the main couple. I really did. They were a good fit.
Knox is a up and coming amateur Mixed Martial Arts fighter. With his eye on the prize…a career in the cage. His attention deviates when he meets beautiful Sarah-Jane. She is everything he didn’t know he needed.
It’s hard to give a review without giving things away with this one. Just read it, you will love it!

This one was just okay for me. While I enjoyed the idea of reforming the bad boy, working through his demons the story fell flat for me.
The blurb was great, it immediately drew me in but once there the story drug for me. I finished the book, it has the potential to be great but in some ways it just didn't keep me engaged.
As this is a new author I'm holding out hope for the next book which I will read, I look forward to seeing this author grow.

This book was a rollercoaster of emotions, the good and the bad! By the end it leaves you wanting more!
Knox and Sarah-Jane's story was beautiful and I enjoyed every page.
Knox is definitely a man to want to keep, with his sweet words and his commitment to Sarah-Jane. You see the love they have for each other threw out the whole story and it's amazing. It makes you want to keep Knox all to yourself.
Aleisha has written a beautiful story here and I recommend to anyone who is looking at reading that you definitely pick it up! You won't be disappointed!

What do you do when at a young age you meet your soulmate and all hell breaks loose? He sold his soul to the devil . . . at least that's what he called the anger. This is only part of his story and this author's debut novel. This isn't a standalone but it is most definitely worth a read because you can't help but get invested in the outcome. While I did enjoy this author's first novel I didn't enjoy a lot of the repetitiveness. The characters are strong, it is an good strong story that will haunt you and let you feel his angst. I am hooked and will be back for book 2.

Wow, this book was not what I was expecting... It was even BETTER!
I cannot believe that this is Aleisha Maree's debut novel because it was well written, a relatively quick read (I was able to bang it out in about three hours) and beyond amazing! This book will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions and will have you questioning things you never thought you would question (you'll have to read it to understand). I absolutely adored Knox and the MMA aspect was interesting and I was excited to read those scenes, I mean who doesn't love a sexy fighter!
Overall, this story was really good and an amazing start to this author's writing career!

This book was definitely not what I was expecting. I love Knox! When he fell for Sarah-Jane, he went all in and absolutely loved her. He was devoted to her and wanted nothing more than for her to be happy and with him. Sarah-Jane was a strong character. She lost a very important person in her life and wasn't important to her parents, but she moved through each day without wanting to give up. She fell hard for Knox...he was the first guy to really pay attention to her for her and not her family. Their love story was sweet...until it wasn't. I'm not sure if I really like the twist in the story, but without it, the book couldn't have evolved.
I was certainly not expecting Knox to be in high school most of the story. I understand that the high school portion had to give the background of Knox and SJ's relationship, but I felt like it was a little far fetched sometimes, and SJ was a little wishy-washy regarding some of her relationships. I much prefer the second half of this story. That portion actually matched what was in the blurb.
I had a hard time getting through the first half of the book then rushed through the second half only to be left curious. I cannot wait for the second book. Great first book for a new author. Maybe just some more editing needs to be done to make sure that cohesive ideas flow throughout the whole book.

Wow, really? We are already to technical issues in this book? Chapter 1, paragraph 1, sentence 1 is missing punctuation. Then, it ends up being a huge run-on sentence, with repeated phrases in there. This is just... terrible. I did read some reviews that mentioned things like this being present, but I never expected it with the very first sentence. I am going to try very hard to not dnf this book.
I can't keep track of what is going on and what I'm supposed to be feeling at any particular time.
Coincidentally, I had this title on a list of mine of to-read books (not on goodreads). Only just yesterday I discovered that this is not the book I was wanting, it was one of the same name by another author. I wanted to give this one a try, but I couldn't get past the writing.
I made it to 4%. The writing can be best summed up by another reviewer: it was utter Gibberish. Seems like an overly-excited 12 year old girl vomited all over the pages, with uncut, unedited run-on sentences with so many grammatical errors, I couldn't grasp what i was reading half the time.
I am throwing this into my dnf pile. Unfortunately, this is my 2nd book in a row to go there, so I need to be a little more selective with my next book. I can certainly do better than this one.

This is a hard review to write. I find that I am torn about this book. What I liked, I liked and what I found fault with I hated. At the top of my list of thing to address is: Trigger Warning! this book has content that some will find disturbing and can be serious triggers for others. These included use of roofie, attempted rape, sexual assault and physical assault. Please be aware and warned if this is an issue for you. Next, this book is not a standalone read it ends on a cliffhanger and continues in the next book Fractured Promises. This book in fact has very little to do with the Reapers MC club. So do not expect a full on MC story because this book is not one. In fairness, I will say that by the next book the Reapers will be front and center but in this book they are only barely mentioned. The story of this book is engaging. Just do not expect light and fluffy. It is a book that is like a sour patch candy. It has a pretty outside and starts sweet only to shock you with the shock of sour. A shocking blend of sweet, tender, heartwarming, ugliness, violence, pain and heartbreak. This is my honest, voluntary review.

Excellent book, it’s superbly written, a real page-turner. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, well backgrounded with spirited characters. I felt involved in the book from the very start. The writer has the unique and skillful ability to inject her story into the reader like a drug. I couldn’t put it down. I got drawn in. The main characters Sarah-Jane and Knox are expertly portrayed with feeling and depth. If I could sum the book up in a sentence, I would say ‘Broken is the epitome of a thinking woman's erotic love story' with main character chemistry, beautiful descriptions and stylish writing along with an interesting solid plot.
You are a truly talented author Aleishia Maree. Write some more books because I know this particular reader will be anticipating your next novel greatly.

Sarah Jane and Knox hit it off and everything is perfect. They are both super happy and so in love until tragedy strikes and nothing will ever be the same again.
“Where the fuck where you? Huh brother! Where were you?” His eyes roll as I shake him. His breathing flattens out as my rage flows through my body. He just wraps his hands behind my head and pulls me into him.
I really enjoyed this book! It definitely kept my heart racing in certain parts. Plus there are so many parts my heart swooned for the amazing guy Knox is.

Not sure how I feel about this book. There was so much fluff that I skipped at least half the book trying to find conversations and actions between actual people. The last 1/4 of the book is what finally peaked my interest. The rest of the book was spent mostly in the heads of the characters and the romantic parts were a little unrealistic for a college guy and I kept wondering where all the money was coming from that he was spending on the elaborate romance gestures because there was never a mention of him making money on his fights and he didn't have a job. The prepsters were just evil and deserved everything they got. I will read the next book because the last few pages drew me in but I hate fluff so hoping there's none of that in the next book. It if wasn't KU, I wouldn't read it though.

I feel like I'm owed a medal for finishing this one, for several reasons:
1- it was utter Gibberish. Seems like an overly-excited 12 year old girl vomited all over the pages, with uncut, unedited run-on sentences with so many grammatical errors, I couldn't grasp what i was reading half the time.
2- the plot had some potential, but then everything came through over-dramatic, especially with all the exclamation marks flying around (!!)
3- insta-love affair with no real basis. A lot of telling, no showing.
4- this one is stupid and petty, but the dialect between the characters wasn't a New York-ish one. Words like 'friend', 'mate', 'darling' and 'oi' are usually either British or Ozi.
The only silver lining was by the last quarter of the book, where things became a little more interesting and the writing slightly more coherent.

Sweet heartbreaking and emotional read
This book is amazing, emotional and sweet.
Knox is a boy from the wrong side of tracks mma fighter and a bad boy. He hangs with his brother and his friends and lives with his grandparents.
Sarah-Jane is a strong bright and sweet girl who has had some very emotional times in her life.
When these to meet the sparks fly. The play the staring game for a while and than some very bad things happen and they become more. When other things happen and one is hurt will they be destroyed? This book made me cry, laugh, and cry some more. Can't wait to read more from this author.

This book was not what I expected. It started out a sweet passion packed book of young first love between two people from opposite sides of the tracks. It ended up being a heart wrenching , emotional story that I needed tissues in parts. So many plot turns. I am very interested in seeing where the rest of this series goes. My one criticism would be that if the characters are from Brooklyn, the language should be Brooklyn speak. There were things described in words that an American, especially a New Yorker would not use. It didn’t take away from the story, but some people may not know what was being written about.

A heart stopper, I loved it!
This story is potent. Broken is a stunning novel written in beautiful prose. The author is a master at setting the scene and upping the emotion.
I found myself turning the pages with hiked excitement and massive curiosity, I was so dying to find out what would happen on the next page and then the next—Wow, I just couldn’t put my Kindle down. I am a big fan of this author, and I promise if you read any of her books you will be too.

Broken is a book about a guy who’s from the wrong side of the tracks and a girl from the right side. Life is tough for Knox, always has been. Sarah-Jane’s life appears to be shiny and perfect but it’s a sham. The love that develops between these two is something that cannot be broken. I won’t tell you the story because you need to read it yourself. It will have you falling in love, crying (not just crying but weeping foolishly – I went through five tissues), feeling hollow, angry, and finally leave you with a need for a hug. I was anxious to know what was on the next page, so I read it in one day.

Get ready...a new alpha is in town! Knox is the MMA fighter that you will want to cuddle, he will make you cry and then laugh, be sad and then happy.. he is exactly what the title suggests and I can’t wait to read more about him. Warning...this book ends in one crazy cliffhanger, so be prepared! This book did have a lot of errors and repeats but overall completely worth the read. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a super hot alpha tearjerker!

Aleisha Maree has amazing talent. This beautiful story tears at the heart. I felt every word and was well and truly hooked. Sarah-Jane and Knox and their story really got to me—wow!
The writer of ‘Broken’ shows us in words, the trauma, and the love that teaches us to live our lives through the hardest things that this world throws at us. Aleisha Maree does this in such a contemporary way. Excellent reading.

Wow this story killed me literally had me in full blown tears!!! Knox and sarah Jane thought they were two broken people and not capable of love! This book had my emotions everywhere and I wanted to throw my iPad numerous times!!!! Amazing story I look forward to reading more books from this author!!

The story of Knox and Sarah Jane is sweet. Know is a MMA fighter who has worked hard for what he does. Sarah is attracted by this bad boy. Great chemistry between the charactes, emotional storyline and so much potential to this series. I enjoyed this book!

Badboy from the wrong side of the tracks meets upscale girl with the rich parents. Knox is a badboy with a big heart and he's so sweet. This is an angsty read that will take you for a ride. For a debut book Aleisha did a great job! Can't wait for book 2!

Damn you this book had me in pieces, one min I was love the Sarah-jane and knox loving each other and being happy to having it ripped from under me.

A heartbreaking tale of finding love and then losing it. The author makes you feel every emotion of the pain and heartache that the character goes through. I could not put this book down and can not wait to see what happens next.

Wow the title of this book sums up how it left me feeling, Broken. The intense relationship between Knox and Sarah-Jane is devastingly beautiful. I cried screamed and cursed at this book. Now to dive into book two.

Knox and Sarah-Jane both have sad, heart-wrenching histories. They come together and give each other light and happiness, until a tragic accident. Knox pays a high price and now only knows vengeance. Sarah-Jane tries to help him. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and look forward to the next.
