He wanted to be left in peace…

West Morgan knows all about second chances. After bouncing from foster home to foster home, he finally landed at the Rawlings Ranch as a teenager. There he found a home, something he’d never thought possible. Now an adult, he realizes he’s been given much more: a family and, most importantly, peace. But when his mentor dies and leaves the property divided among his foster brothers and his mentor’s daughter, Tara Rawlings, the fragile future he’s built for himself is threatened.

She wanted to be free of her past…

Tara Rawlings swore she’d never end up with someone like her father, a man completely focused on the ranch to the exclusion of his loved ones. She created a new life for herself in San Francisco, running an interior design company and getting married, then divorced. When she returns to settle her father’s estate, she finds that her birthright is in jeopardy. And the only way to save it is to work with West Morgan, the one man she has always resented—and always found irresistible.

Can they save the ranch without killing each other … or falling in love?

A story where Tara Rawlings was sent away by her father soon after her mother died. Having not come back to the families ranch in years and feeling like her father never wanted her having sent her away and taking in foster boys soon after. She gets a call from West her foster brother that her father has passed. Going out to the ranch expecting to have to go through things and take care of the ranch she is taken back when she learns that he gave all four of them equal shares. Now really feeling like she did not belong to her father she still must find a way to help save the ranch. Coming up with a plan seems good and it is put into the works along with her and West moving along to what she thinks to be a couple. She has ripped apart when she awakes one morning to find him gone, and her meetings all canceled. No note, just her other two foster brothers delivering his message which she hears and packs up and leaves. Not having either drive her to the airport but leave. Now when he returns from his weeklong whatever his two brothers give him a rashen of his own horse manure. Now he must decide does he go after the girl or stay miserable? It does help him when he finds her father’s notebook. A good story. I received this book from Netgalley.com I GAVE IT 4 STARS. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com

A Cowboy’s Salvation is first in Megan Ryder’s new Redemption Ranch series and is a Montana enemies of sorts to lovers story. Our heroine, Tara Rawlings, has spent much of her youth at boarding school on the west coast, pushed away by her father and resenting West Morgan and his “brothers” Chase and Ty, who are all boys that her father fostered. She’s always thought that he cared more about them than her and they’ve always regarded her as a spoiled princess. When Tara’s father dies and leaves the ranch to all four of them sparks fly, particularly between Tara and West, who find the attraction between them all kinds of inconvenient.
This story is well paced and interesting as well as providing the sort of escapism that cowboy in gorgeous countryside stories always do for me. I loved getting to know these two and watching them dance around each other as they slowly came to the understanding that together they could really make things work for the ranch and for their unconventional family.

I think what I liked best about this book is both West and Tara had so many preconceived notions and pain to overcome. There is nothing like the emotional wounds we receive as a child to mess with our heads as we go through life.

At times they were both stubborn. They refused to open up and trust each other and talk, each getting in their own ways, which is very realistic and true to life.

This book pulled at my emotions. At times it made me laugh and other times I cried and at times I was so mad at the characters, like when West thinks he knows what’s best and pulls a bone head move. I just wanted to slap him. But then I got to see him grovel, so that was great and I loved it even more, because we all make mistakes in life…stupid mistakes and have to own up to them, and that’s what this book was about. Learning you were wrong and seeing the truth in others and being brave enough to give them and you a second chance and finding love.

Great start to a new series and I’m looking forward to reading Chase and Ty’s stories.

I loved A Cowboy's Salvation! What a swoon worthy read, I just coudn't get enough of hot, hunky Cowboy West and his two brothers. I also loved Tara, a sweet and passionate Interior Designer who's father died and she had to make her way back to Montana. A great story, great setting and awesome characters. I'm looking forward to book 2 Coming Home to the Cowboy due out in September.

I give A Cowboy's Salvation 5 stars for its swoon worthy read.
I would recommend this book to fans of Westerns and Romance.

This book is a keeper! The characters are true to life and have depths that evoke empathy. I wanted to wrap Tara up in hug while she is grieving for her father and being ridiculed by the townspeople. I also wanted to give West a good shake, no make it swift kick in his posterior for his treatment of Tara on several occasions. A great story gets the reader involved in what’s happening in the lives of the characters, to almost feel what they are feeling and see what they are seeing. This is a great story.

Tara and West are as much alike as they are different. Both have deep rooted insecurities dating back to their childhoods. She was sent away from the ranch, the only life and home she knew, after her mother died. She felt abandoned by both parents, and was still estranged from her father when he died. West was abandoned as a child by his mother and put into the foster care system. As a teen he got into trouble until Tara’s father took him under his wing and fostered him, and later Chase and Ty at his ranch. So while he and his foster brothers found a home at the ranch, Tara was forced to leave it behind due to a promise her father had made to her dying mother. Tara and West are both stubborn, strong-willed, and big-hearted, though they do their best to hide the last trait. At first they do nothing but clash, but sparks of attraction are soon lit, then spread like a wildfire. They come up with a scheme to help make the ranch profitable, and begin to work together for a common goal. Yet, both are aware she has a life back in San Francisco and some decisions must be made about the running of the ranch and whether she will leave or stay. Read this exciting, entertaining and very insightful book to find out how life unfolds for Tara and West. I can’t wait to read the more about West’s foster brothers, Chase and Ty, in the books to follow in this series!

A lovely start to the Redemption Ranch series. Tara gets a call from her nemesis that shatters her already messed up world and turns it upside down. She must now return home to deal with not only her father's death but also the three foster brothers and the ranch that she left behind. West now has to deal with not only losing his mentor but possibly losing the only real home that he and his two foster brothers have ever known. Imagine everyone's surprise when they learn that all four are equal owners of Rawlings Ranch. Now they must all come together and figure out what is best for them and the ranch, but in order to accomplish that they will have to deal with old insecurities and assumptions and forge new beginnings.
Tara and West's struggles to deal with past hurts, a growing attraction and wrong assumptions is a good beginning to this new series. I urge you to read this book to see if Tara can finally find her true home and to see if West can finally realize that he has all he needs and that he can finally be free of his fear of abandonment. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series to learn more about Chase and Ty and the continuing story of Tara and West.

What a powerful and moving story! I sympathized with both Tara and Wade and felt their pain from the bitter misunderstandings and youthful trauma both had endured. Their explosive chemistry almost set the pages ablaze but their personalities and goals still scratched like sandpaper so I wondered how they would ever work things out. Plenty of heat, bunches of angst and vivid western ambiance. What is not to love? This book appears to be the start of a series, Redemption Ranch Romances, titles and release dates TBA.

She’s running, he’s resentful.

Things always aren’t as they seem.
Tara left the ranch she grew up on and her father. She felt pushed out and replaced by West.

West thinks she’s just a princess (very typical and narrow minded).

Three men were welcomed and she was pushed out and sent away.
I didn’t care for West.
I didn’t really connect with Tara either.

I think I was looking for something fresh with this trope and didn’t find it. Especially when West makes a bonehead move and makes a decision for her.

Tara is forced to come home and face the demons of her past and present. I liked that she had this strong head on her and she really seems to take everything in stride. I was however not a huge fan of West I kind of had a love/hate relationship with him. I did like Ty and Chase they always seem to be your typical little brothers who like to pick on the older one. The story did get to me emotionally because with everything Tara faced my heart just broke for her. There is some cursing and sex in this book so may not be suitable for all readers. Over all I enjoyed reading about these fun characters. I hope that Ty and Chase find their happily ever afters. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. A heart-warming and promising start to a new series! When Tara Rawlings goes home after her fathers death, she discovers the family ranch was left equally to her and her foster brothers. Both sides have viewed the other in the wrong light while growing up, making them butt heads now. I loved this story and it's genuine message of "don't judge a book by it's cover", which everyone needs reminded of once in a while. I can't wait for the next book in the Redemption Ranch series!

Can they save the ranch without killing each other … or falling in love?
This is Tara Rawlings and West Morgan's story.
Tara Rawlings Gordon stood in front of the bay windows in the front room that was their conference room of the Queen Anne house that doubled as the office space for their interior design firm, Design Lines. The four young software designers who sat around the other end of the oval table studied her and her designs impassively, not giving anything away. Designing office space for a start-up software company was a new venture for her firm, mostly used to dealing with homes and smaller offices like law firms and such. But this start-up was not a traditional company, challenging their typical layouts and structure for office space, which could showcase a new area of talent and originality for their firm, one Tara and her partner, Angela Barnes, had been looking for. Anything to help their firm stand out in the crowded design field in San Francisco. Only, judging by the lack of expression on the faces before her, Tara wasn’t sure how the presentation was going.
Pasting a bright smile on her face, she gestured for her assistant to bring up the sketches of the interior. “We went with the open floor plan you had requested. No cubicle walls, small pods instead of individual desks, and collaborative work stations.”
The president of the company nodded. “This seems somewhat … bare.”
“It’s from home. From a West Morgan?” The older woman spoke gently, studied her closely.
Tara froze. In the overall scheme of who would ever be calling her from home, West Morgan was the last person she’d ever expect. And the least desired. “Are you sure? What could he want?”
“There’s only one way to find out. We’ll put him through to your office.” Angela pushed her gently in the direction of the stairs and her second-floor office.

A Cowboy’s Salvation is book one in the Redemption Ranch Series by Megan Ryder.

Tara Rawlings had her own life, her own interior design company in San Francisco, even her own marriage and then divorce. She is currently in the process of putting her life back together. When her father passes away, she realizes that she hasn’t been home to the ranch in years, she was even avoiding phone calls from her father, at least until she got her life back on track. Then she get the phone call that her father has passed away and she must return home.

Her relationship with her father was strained, to say the least. Her father always put the ranch first. Her mother felt it before she passed away, and Tara felt it when shortly after her mothers death she was sent away to school . The reason behind her father sending her away – a better education and life. What hurt her the most is she felt pushed away and replaced by the foster boys her father took in and raised. She had no desire to return home, but she had to go and claim what is rightfully hers, her family legacy.

West Morgan was a troubled teen stuck in the chaos of foster care. That is until he was taken in by Douglas Rawlings of the Double R Ranch. The ranch became home to three fosters, who considered themselves brothers. Douglas raised them into strong, capable men. And when Douglas passes away, they are worried that the place they have called home most of their lives will be taken from them. And that it will all be given to Tara, Douglas’ privileged “princess” daughter.

When Tara returns home, the first person she sees is West Morgan, she has nothing but ill will towards the man that took her place with her father. That is until they find out that the ranch was equally split among the three boys and Tara. With the boys refusing to sale, Tara must come up with a plan to save the failing ranch and return to her life in San Francisco But life is never that simple, and once two people begin to open up with each other, anything can happen.

I enjoyed the tit for tat relationship West and Tara had. West was strong and stubborn in his morals and beliefs. He runs the ranch and everything must be done his way. But once Tara comes along and shows him that there are other viable solutions to saving the ranch, he slowly begins to come around to the idea. They both had pre-conceived notions of the other. When West tells Tara that she must work the ranch if she wants to make changes to it, their world begins to change.

Can they save the ranch that they all have come to love and protect Tara’s families legacy? Will Tara be able to have her life in San Francisco and at the ranch?

Wonderfully written, the landscape that Megan paints makes me want to go to the nearest ranch and just hang out. The “brothers” are super fun, and typical brotherly antics leave you laughing out loud. I can’t wait to read the next brothers story! Highly recommend if you want a quick read and a steamy, lovable cowboy romance.

Plus West sounds hot – so there’s that!

Tara and West’s love story in A Cowboy’s Salvation by Megan Ryder, book one in her Redemption Ranch series, reminds us that there is more than one way to define home and family. Tara Rawlings didn’t understand why her father sent her away to boarding school after the death of her mother. True, he cared more about the ranch than her or her mother, but the ranch was home. He even seemed to replace her with those boys he fostered. She never did move back, at least until the death of her father. It’s at that point she discovers that her birthright is not just hers, only a fourth, and it is in danger of having to be sold off to pay taxes. West Morgan grew up bouncing from foster home to foster home until he landed at the Rawlings Ranch. He not only found a home but also a family. When his mentor dies and leaves the property divided between his two foster brothers and his mentor’s daughter, Tara, the shaky future he built is threatened. West Morgan knows all about second chances. After bouncing from foster home to foster home, he finally landed at the Rawlings Ranch as a teenager. There he found a home, something he’d never thought possible. Now an adult, he realizes he’s been given much more: a family and, most importantly, peace. But when his mentor dies leaves the property divided among his foster brothers and his mentor’s daughter, Tara Rawlings, the fragile future he’s built for himself is threatened. The only way to save the ranch is with Tara and West working together to find some ways to bring in paying visitors; fishermen, hunters, a spa, or even a B&B. Hopefully, they can work together without killing each or maybe find a forever love. The attraction between Tara and West is electric and off the charts. The air sizzles when they are in the same space.

There is definitely a fine line between love and hate and one’s family is not just by blood but often the family one creates. This is a theme that runs through the story. It’s also an important reminder in life. As Tara and West save the ranch they discover much about who they truly are as well as what is important in life.

Ms. Ryder wrote a wonderful and sexy story that is definitely not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving Tara and West a chance to have forever love and be a family. I highly recommend A Cowboy’s Salvation to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series.

This series is very well named as the Redemption Ranch because it brings so many aspects of this first, world building Romance into play in the reader’s mind. Yes, the Rawlings Ranch was indeed a place of redemption for West, and his foster brothers Chase and Ty. But it was also the place where the owner’s daughter, Tara, felt least wanted perhaps even pushed aside as the teen boys arrived. Unknown to Tara her father had made it abundantly clear to the boys that his daughter was off-limits and a fast ticket off of the ranch if they disobeyed him on that. Unfortunately, her mother’s hatred for the ranch soon moved into Tara’s head as well when she was sent off to boarding school and the foster teens took on more responsibility at the ranch. She made her life far away from home and if not happy was at least content building her company with a friend, now divorced and finding her own way in life. All that will change in a heartbeat – and truths she never knew may change her mind on exactly where home really is.

A COWBOY’S SALVATION grabbed hold of my emotions and never let go until the ending. And what a circle of emotions they were. I understood where Tara and West were in their mindset about each other, yet I wish Tara could have seen the past with an adult’s eyes sooner then she might have seen why her father did some of the things that hurt her the most. There were moments when I could have smacked West upside the head for the truly stupid decisions he made. Watching him grovel afterward was quite satisfying. Their attraction to each other was never in doubt since it began years ago, but they had to figure out how to overcome their past, and their preconceived ideas about that past in order to work toward a future for not only the ranch but for themselves as well. I was easily caught up in their story and now I’m hooked on the series as I wait for Chase and Ty to find their happily ever after loves, too. If you enjoy a Romance with layers, the couple’s past to get beyond and characters that are as real as your next door neighbors, then A COWBOY’S SALVATION is a book you’ll want to pick up – soon.

West Morgan came to the Double R Ranch as a teenager and was given a second chance at life by the owner, Douglas Rawlings, along with other troubled teens. The biggest rule that Douglas has was to stay away from his daughter, Tara.

Tara Rawlings had always hated the Double R Ranch that was her home. Her mother hated being there up until she got sick and died and all her father cared about was the ranch, and not her. Shortly after her mom's death, her dad sent Tara away to boarding school. When she would come back for school breaks, every one ignored her so it wasn't surprising that when Tara left for college, she never came back. Now that Tara's life was in San Francisco she didn't make it back to Montana much. Her ex-husband hated the place and it only brought sad memories back for Tara. After Tara's divorce the past year has been really hard on her and she hadn't actually talked to her father much so when she received word that he had passed away Tara was riddled with guilt.

Tara decides that she needs to head back to Montana for her father's funeral and to settle the estate. Of course the first person Tara sees is West, the guy she always hated because he got all of her dad's attention while at the same was always attracted to him. At first West, Ty and Chase are all hesitant around Tara. They never understood why she stayed away but slowly they start to come around. When the reading of the will takes place everyone is surprised to find out that Douglas left everything to Tara, West, Chase and Ty equally. Tara also finds out that the ranch is having some financial problems. As Tara and West start to spend more time together to save the ranch, it starts to get harder to not give in to their attraction....until finally they don't! Just when it looks like Tara and West are finally going to get a happy ending, past insecurities come back to haunt them until finally they both realize what they must each do.

I really enjoyed Tara and West. They both had such baggage from their pasts that it hurting them moving forward in their futures. I also can't wait to read the other's stories!

Full of Emotions

From sadness, heartbreak, loneliness, to hopes and dreams.

I found book 1 to be about 'If you what it, you have to work for it.' Not that Tara, West, Chase, or Ty didn't know what hard work was all about.

When Tara came back to the ranch when her father passed away, she had some tough decisions to make. But, when she found out her father only left one-quarter of the ranch and the rest to West, Chase, and Ty, she was not too happy. She planned on selling the ranch and going back to the Bay area. Finding out the ranch was barely keeping afloat, why holed on to it?

So, what was next? Tara couldn't imagine what a train wreck she looked like after driving for 22 hours than sleeping for possibly the first time in weeks. Exhaustion and grief would do that to a person. Tara knew better than anyone, knew how needing someone, relying on someone, could destroy her life. Maybe once she would have looked for comfort, but not now, she stood alone.

Tara barely made it to her father's funeral and the town's people didn't look at her as a grieving daughter, but someone who didn't have time for her father. "We expected you to be here a few days ago. The funeral is tomorrow." She was tired of being made to feel bad just for breathing.

The one thing Tara was soon to find out while she was staying at the ranch was no one would be catering to her and her demands. They all pitch in around to get the chores done and not when she would feel like it.

"Time's a-wasting, girl. Get moving before the sun goes down on you." "I warned you, princess. If you own the ranch, you 'work' the ranch. Time for chores! Up and at 'em!

"And don't make me come back in there because I will."
'I'm up. I'm up, general!"

Find out what Tara and the guys decide to do with the ranch. Will she find peace, happiness, contentment? Was she finally home?

Read the next book: Coming Home to the Cowboy (Redemption Ranch Book 2) Champion bull-rider and all-around fun guy Chase Summers and accountant and small business advisor Hailey Spencer is hired by Redemption Ranch to implement their dude ranch ideas, she and Chase are thrown together. Happy reading!

This was an interesting story. I was a little perplexed by Tara at first. She first seemed very brash to me. Then after finding out about her inheritance, she was wounded that the ranch was to be split with the foster boys (now men) that her father took in. Her thoughts turn to his rejection of her not being able to care for the ranch. Earlier though, she planned on selling the ranch. That seemed to be a great conflict for me. Tara seemed like the perfect spoiled princess. She wondered where the money went that they would need to pay the inheritance taxes. Unfortunately, West informs her it wasn’t from bad investments but her spending ways (expensive clothes and many vacations), while they had to sacrifice to pay for it.

It took me some time to warm up to Tara. Having a dual POV really helped here. As the pages flew by, more of Tara was revealed. Her pain and grief were becoming more evident. The past had a firm grip on her. As she and West grew closer together, you could see the past was slowly giving way to a wonderful relationship. A healing one.

I was thoroughly engrossed in this story. I eagerly look forward to the rest of this series. Getting to see Chase and Ty in an in-depth way and finding their HEAs will keep me coming back. I applaud the author’s work here. Growing up in a loving family and not having the background that the characters here have, the plot was written in a way that I really felt for all of them. GREAT JOB!

This book is not a sweet, clean romance. There are scenes that many would not appreciate. I highly recommend this story for anyone over the age of 18.

This is the 1st book in the Redemption Ranch Series and it is awesome. Weston Morgan got a 2nd chance when Douglas Rawlings gave him a foster home in Montana on his ranch. He was a troubled youth but Douglas saw something in him that reminded him of himself. Over the years Douglas also took in two other boys, Chase and Ty. He also had a daughter, Tara. On his wife’s deathbed, he promised her that he would give Tara the best education she could have and a life of her own away from the ranch. Over the years a rift developed between Tara and her father. She felt as if he didn’t want her around after her mother passed away and he sent her away. Now, her father is gone and she’s called home to make funeral arrangements and settle his estate. Expecting to inherit the ranch, she’s thrown for a loop when the ranch is left to her and the foster brothers, West, Chase and Ty. The ranch isn’t as profitable as she thought and with a huge inheritance tax to pay, they need to come up with options. She wants to sell but the brothers refuse as it’s the only place they can call home.
A well written storyline and Wonderful characters that draw you in from the beginning to the very last page. There’s a wide range of emotions from anger, humor, angst, heartbreak and a passionate love between Tara and West. This is going to be an incredible series. This is a must read. Beautiful and compelling journey to facing regrets and finding your true home. Tara’s world has been shaken by divorce, betrayal and then death. She is a fighter, working her way through the pain while building her business. When she has to return to her childhood home, she must face the past and find a way to heal from her father pushing her away. When she learns that her father left the ranch to her and the three foster boys, he took in years ago, well, she feels betrayed even more. Why wouldn’t her dad want her to carry the family legacy of the ranch? West only knew abandonment and hurt as a child but one lucky break leads him to The Russell Ranch and a true home. He found his purpose working on the ranch and appreciated the relationship he had with Douglas, Tara’s dad. From day 1, he was told to stay away from Tara but he always had a crush on her. When she ends up back at the ranch, will he embrace the feelings and pursue a relationship with her? Now Tara is at a true crossroads, she has a love/hate relationship with the ranch. Will connecting with West and the other boys help her find her true purpose? These two drew me in and I felt the pain and hurt they had weathered over the years as they fought their way through to a brighter future on the other side. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

This is one of those books that touches me deep down in my soul and had me wondering why about so many things. This book brought me to tears in so many places and also had me smiling in others. It was an wonderful book that kept me deeply connected to all the characters and wanting to know more about them. This book is based in Montana on a Ranch. Tara was sent away from home as a young teen after the death of her mother to go to school and never really came back to live much on the ranch. When she did it was to discover her dad has taken in slowly 3 young men, her age and younger to foster. They stayed on the ranch through out years while Tara married and moved on with her life. This book is what happens when Douglas passes away and what happens to the ranch and between the 4 of them. Life is never what you thing it is at face value. What the boys thought they saw as a spoiled Princess might not actually be what was really Tara. Tara on the other had despised her foster brothers for the places they had in her father's life. Not fully understanding WHY it was they were there, not why she was where she ended up. A chance at redemption is a journal only discovered after death can set the record straight...one can hope.

Tara returns home for her father’s funeral to find a cowboy’s things littering her old bedroom. Well, what did she expect, she hadn’t been home in 2 years. She’d passed her father’s room and nosed in West’s Room, her adopted brother’s before going downstairs to the master suite unused since her mother died. Earlier, Wes’ deep, deep basso had announced her father’s death over the phone. The initial creative tension is created by the fact of Tara being an only child and the three young men her father treated like sons were fostered, never adopted. Tara may not be happy but it’s good to know her father looked after the three young men who kept his ranch going in his will.

One of the fun touches is the rooster who chases anyone who gets too close to his hens. Since this is a romance and Wes is obviously the alpha male the animosity between he and Tara is destined to turn to something else. The description of their attraction is rather hands on and detailed, also profane.

I enjoyed the first section of this book but when the typical romance formula took over it left all the important plot lines unresolved. Since West has two adopted brothers expect two more romances to cover Chase's and Ty's love life.

This was an ok read for me. I'm giving it 3.5-4 stars because there was some drama, just not enough for me to call it a page Turner.

Tara was sent away for school and she stayed away from the ranch that she grew up on. Her dad wanted the best for her. What Tara didn't know until after her dad passed was that, Tara was kind of spoiled by her dad. She was sent money and the ranch took the hit.
She wanted what was hers, she thought that was the ranch.

West, who grew up in the ranch got a second chance from Douglas, Tara's father. West and Tara didn't get along to well. He hated her for giving up on the ranch. When they sat down to talk about making money, West was hesitant at first. He didn't want to start something and Tara leave.

What made me go eh, was once their back stories were laid out. They automatically boom.....I like you, you like me, let's go to the hot tub!! They laid out their feelings, what if's and they both saw each other in a whole new light. Ok that's great, but for me a little more drama would if been nice. Yes, Tara clocks someone, her and West get together, but what about the ranch? Do they end up doing what Tara suggested? Does the bank told on their loan?? It just kind of.......ended!! It could have used more for me.

Tara Rawlings lives in San Francisco, away from the Rawlings Ranch where she was raised. When she receives the news of her father's death, she returns to the ranch to take care of everything.
Her reception at the ranch was not very good, since her foster brothers, West, Chase and Ty, had never had much contact with her. When Douglas's will is released and they discover that the ranch has been split equally among the four, Tara's initial reaction is not one of the best.
To save the ranch and pay the bills, they need to work together and soon Tara has an idea that can solve the problems, at the same time, West puts her to do the tasks at the ranch to get familiar with everything.
While working to save the ranch, the attraction between West and Tara only increases, and when they decide to give their feelings a chance, the encounters between them are explosive.
But when Tara is called to return to San Francisco, will they be able to cope with distance and stay together, or will distance be impediment to them?
I loved the story and the characters. I'm anxious to read the next book in this series.

A Cowboy's Salvation by Megan Ryder is an interesting first book in the new Redemption Ranch Series. I would say more interesting than entertaining since the two main characters have some real characters flaws. Not unlike real life, fights over inheritance is very common. In fact, West Morgan and Tara Rawlings may seen tame in light of what can really happen. How a romance come to be from all this is very interesting.

West is much like the typical stereotype cowboy; stubborn, loyal, hardworking and did I mention stubborn. His virtues are as obvious as his flaws, making him easily understood and maybe even appreciated. Tara on the other hand reminds me of many self- centered people. It was good to see some emotional growth for her in the story. Not exactly a lighthearted story with a man’s legacy at stake but he would have been happy with the ending.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Tara, a partner in an interior design firm in San Francisco, returns to Montana when her father suddenly passes away on his family cattle ranch. There she meets up with West, Chase and Ty, three cowboys who have worked tirelessly on the ranch with her daddy. When the will is read, and they find they have each inherited a fourth of the ranch, the story really gets interesting. West was a troubled teenager when Douglas "fostered" him and guided him to become the hard-working, well-respected man he is today. As West drew closer to Douglas, it appears that Tara was pushed farther away. But things aren't always as they seem.I

From misinformation and misunderstanding, Megan Ryder tells a beautiful story of honor, self-worth and learning to be vulnerable enough to trust and love again. Although this story is about West, the author gives us enough of a glimpse into the characters of Chase and Ty that she has set herself up for a nice trilogy. I do hope these cowboys each get their own stories and I heartily recommend this very enjoyable book from this very talented author!
