He needs a cook and his best friend volunteers his daughter who used to come play on the farm as a little girl. Well, she’s not so little anymore and both Jacob and Holly fall for each other. The only question is if Jacob can keep her without ruining his friendship.

In love with a cowboy is book two of the Knox dude ranch series. This story is short, fast paced and a nice read. In love with a cowboy is a fathers best friend/best friends daughter romance. I read this book in less than half an hour and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When the ranch needs a new chef, Jacob hires his best friends daughter to fill in. Having not seen holly for four years, he soon gets a surprise when he sees her again. The moment Jacob lays eyes on Holly, he wants her. Knowing he cannot betray his friend, he tries to avoid Holly but soon finds himself falling for her.
Holly is attracted to Jacob but he isn’t giving her to time of day. How long will he be able to resist her?
The chemistry between Holly and Jacob was clear to see and I liked them as a couple. I just wish there were more scenes of them finally together.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is a nice read. I cannot wait for more from this series. After the little teaser we got, I need Mason’s story now!

Jacob was a man full of responsibility, he dared to tell his love to Holly, and I love this one a little bit more than the previous one. Well, Holly was Jacob’s best friend Rex’s daughter for the whole life time. There was age gap between Holly and Jacob, it was difficult for Jacob to cross the line, because it was taboo.
Jacob didn’t want Rex thought he was a bad man, and he didn’t want to betrayed his friends. But he never wanted to lost his love. He would fight for her not matter what happened.
“I love you,” I whisper in her ear.
She turns toward me, smiling, with sleepiness in her eyes. “Do you, Jacob? Really?”

I didn’t hate it, I did think it was better written than the first in the series. A few gripes, if you’re going to have an older man younger woman trope, don’t put a “child” on the cover. That man on the cover isn’t old enough to have a grown son. Secondly, I know this trope does it for some people but unless the book is beyond fantastic it’s just not my thing. The H in this book is in my age group and the h is the age of my kids and can I just say…eww. There’s nothing creepy about their relationship and there’s no weird daddy fetish stuff which I appreciate, I just don’t get the appeal.

What a perfect little story!! Hope Ford has done it again folks. Strong alpha male sees young heroine for the first time in almost four years and it’s instalove for them both. Both try and fight their feelings. All wrapped up in a happily ever after.
Oh and the epilogue has me needing the next book in the series like yesterday!!!!

The tale of the Knox's cowboy continued. Just like its prequel, though you can read this as standalone, the H was alpha af who knew what he wanted. The h was young sweet country girl with every bit of sweetness. The plot was a bit mix of dad's bff, instalove, and smutty goodness. In other words: all smexy greatness in one package.

Expectations ~
I really enjoyed reading this over the top, sweet as sin, unexpected love story. It’s funny, but not really, that even with matters of the heart, societal expectations, and judgements have the ability to tarnish that which the heart states is true. So glad he listened to his heart, and choose their happily cowboy’d after! Swoon!

Jacob and Holly are an interesting pair. She's younger than his son and he's her father's best friend. You can't help who you love. Hired to cook for the ranch, Holly fits right in with everyone and and gets super close to Jacob. Great story.

Good read. _amn Liam’s dad looks good. But I anyway. Holly has been in love with Jacob her dad’s best friend for a long time. All Jacob remembers is a pudgy little girl with pigtails until he sees the grown up version of Holly and all bets are off so to speak.
