(including Vax Humana, One Epic Ring, Spontaneous Justice, Shadow of the Ring, The Horsemen Gather, War of the Four Worlds)

Vax Humana:

James was raised by some good men. What would have happened if twisted cultists like the Brotherhood had found him instead of Fathers McCartney and Thomas?

It's time to find out more about the Unbelievable Mr. Brownstone.

James isn't from Earth or Oriceran. Where he is from has been a question for years.

Will we find out now, or will those who seek to kill what James can become win in the end?

One Epic Ring:

“But you haven’t taken brain damage. I don’t want to have to take the time to get to know you again. The first time was exhausting enough...”

Brownstone accepts a simple job and pisses off the most dangerous criminal in LA.

Shay is approached by a powerful billionaire, one who knows her past.

Now, Brownstone is ready to provide a beat down, but Shay is asking him for help. Does he stay in LA or fly (something he doesn't like to do) to Cambodia?

Spontaneous Justice

There is nothing to fear but the Vax Forerunner himself.

Or is that something only aliens fear?

Brownstone is at to a fever pitch to understand Shay and create something epic, so he makes a decision to ask someone hundreds of years old.

The fight of his life and for his life is about to occur. Will he have a future when all is said and done?

Shadow of the Ring

James achieved something epic with his proposal. Now it is Shay’s turn.

In planning the wedding, the tomb raider soon finds she sympathizes with what James had to go through. How does someone top something so special?

The world’s mightiest class-six bounty hunter believes he’s conquered his amulet. The symbiont’s dark whispers no longer push him out of control, but a new enemy has decided LA should be his stomping grounds and threatens to break through James’ hard-earned discipline.

The Horsemen Gather

Barbecue is life.  Everything else is just details.

With his life settling into a comfortable routine and the criminals of Los Angeles finally accepting his power, James ponders a future of family and food rather than kicking bounties through walls.

Can a bounty hunter be happy as a pitmaster?

James’ idle thoughts of retirement are put on hold when a rogue group of government agents decides to go after the man they feel is the greatest threat to the country.

War of the Four Worlds

The government and the underworld have finally learned their lesson about not taking on James Brownstone, but some enemies will never learn.

Some enemies can only be destroyed.

James and Shay’s wedding is fast approaching, as is the bounty hunter’s semi-retirement. He’s ready to replace butt-kicking with barbecue, convinced he can have a life filled with something other than constant violence.

Too Good to put Down

Michael Anderle, you da man!!!
What I would give to peek inside your magnificent brain to see how you come up with such amazing characters and stories!!
Brownstone is such an unbelievably brilliant series that you don’t realise you have gotten to book 18 and still want more. He started out as a simple minded character who just wanted to look out for his family, friends, dog and of course Barbecue and woe to those who upset the apple cart. We have see Brownstone grow from a befuddled reserved person who showed very little emotion unless it was beating down the baddies who upset him. Now he shows his love, laughter and weird sense of humour that makes him seem more humanly. Brownstone has become a much loved character that I could reread again and again and again.

Love it, hate it or someplace in between

This is the third omnibus featuring Mr. Brownstone. I found this collection a bit more variable than the first two. I'm not sure why they author somehow managed to make the main characters completely unlikable in at least one book in each series. Maybe since I've read each as an omnibus I see when they seen to have a personality change. I absolutely loved the last two books featured in this omnibus. The stories are interesting and the world created is fascinating. I would suggest if you are a reader who wants timelines to match up, storylines from one series to line up with the series immediately following that you may find this world frustrating to read. Since there is more than one author writing in this world it would be a good idea if they created detailed timelines and shared them as well as checked them out when starting a linked new series. Four series in I gave up on making sense of why things kept happening in places that didn't match with the timelines I already had in my head. I went back more than once to see if I was remembering wrong. I wasn't.
The Mr Brownstone stories maybe a bit violent and profanity filled for younger teens.

Good Brownstone, better plot.

End of an era stuff. Only a few smirks throughout, (though the word seems to be a sign of lazy writing) and my word, the hero actually appears to have a chance of dying and grew thereby. Now he's in the Superman strategem and has to figure a way to de-power the hero so as to make the reader care within the conflicts of the story.
Or you could use the Edgar Rice Burroughs method of having the hero spin off characters from his travels throughout Mars. This has the benefit of the main characters not having to change but those around them becoming more like the noble qualities of John Carter et. al. And the interest is saved as those who were once in the periphery become conformed into proper Virginian gentlemen and Martian warrior women.
I'm going to read some of the spin offs now. As always,

This is a terrific box set!!!!!

So Brownstone is an alien! But he grew up on Earth not knowing that he wasn't human. He was raised in a Catholic Orphanage by some very great priests. Although he is a violent man when he has to be, he doesn't misuse his abilities. When he starts out he is a simple man who likes to keep it simple. But as he goes through life he gains ( by adoption) a daughter and then he falls in luv with Shayne, a retired professional killer, turned tomb raider. You can't keep from falling in luv with the Brownstone Family and all their friends. Lot's of adventure, action, magic and monsters are there. You just can't put it down. Highly recommended.

Thanks for finishing the story

Or did you? These 6 books finish off the Brownstone story in a positive way. We know Alison continues, we know there are plans for more James stories, and now we know Shay is pregnant. Wow.

Liked the wedding, liked the consistent story of caring for the weaker, of not abusing his power, of respecting those who serve (police, military, etc) of people being redeemable, of honoring your dead (Shorty)

Just another engaging series by Anderle. Simply put, read it til you can't stand it, take a break, then finish it. If you are like me, you'll enjoy it.😺

WOW!!!!!!

Another series that had me from the first paragraph!!!

About 5 years ago I came across the " Terry Henry Walton Chronicles " while looking for a good book. I usually give a book one chapter to catch my attention. Well I have now finished all of the Bethany Ann series and have moved on from one series to the next.

Not one of the authors involved with your publishing company have let me down. I have fallen in love, cried, hated, laughed, and even egged on all the characters I've read about.

Please keep up the exceptional writing you all do!!!!!!!!!

Brownstone Awesomeness Through and Through!

Alien bounty hunter, his Archaeologist/ex hit woman/girlfriend/Wife and his Half Drow Elf stepdaughter bring love, ass kicking order and foil an alien invasion or two. The Brownstone legacy is assured! Start at the beginning, you won't regret it!
No one Barbeques or eats it like Brownstone.

Finally completion!

There are very few series that have held my attention throughout their entirety, however, this was one of them. Not only was it an easy read, but the storyline was coherent and the characters very memorable. All in all I would say give this one a try if you like someone who kicks ass in a few different ways!

Get your read on

Absolutely loved this series. I'm impressed that the only problem with these 18 books is there are some reprinting of paragraphs. Book 18 had a few in one chapter. Seriously, that's the only mistakes. Great work Mr Anderle

Floored again by my favorite author!!!

I swear Brownstone has more tricks up his Whispy Doom than the history of all magicians!!! I'm also glad that there are more Brownstone adventures to read, and the entire Shag series, too. Thanks for such wonderful reading!

So Satisfying

This set of books took my love for all things Brownstone to the next level. So many story lines explored and resolved. But the best part is there is still more to come. I am mentally doing backflips as I reach for the next box set.
