Very good! I highly recommend reading this. Beautiful!
This is an interesting book. It's a collection of stories involving divine messages and visions by the author and many others she knows. Some of the stories are humorous, many are touching, and some are a bit unnerving (but in a good way). One of the more fascinating ones is of a friend of the author who almost skied off a cliff in a snowstorm, but was turned away by a man she saw on a ski lift telling her to go the other way. That man not only wasn't seen by anyone else, but the ski lift wasn't operating that day.
Angel Watch is recommended for an adult audience. In the chapter "I Am the Angel" a women is threatened with rape, her own murder and the killing of her husband and three children. There are also occasional incidents in the stories that involve infidelity. Catherine visits the Arizona Bilmore in a past life and comments that a man communicated with her telepathically. She knew that he wanted her. She knew that this was more than a sexual need. "This was a meeting of souls across time." (316) The book has been given an adult label for use in our library. The incidents that take place in the book are infrequent and not overly graphic.
I was curious about this paragraph in the chapter entitled "Stacy's Automatic Pen." (164) "There are only certain times of the year when spirits take their 'vacations.' The most important is when the planet mercury goes retrograde. It's like the energy grid we were shown. During that time the grids are vibrating on a different tone. The messages to and fro get garbled and mistakes happen. This occurs three times a year, for three weeks at a time."
Catherine Lanigan does a wonderful job relating her own experperiencs of "Goosebumps, Signs, Dreams and Divine Nudges" in her own life as well as in the lives of others. I can't wait to read more of her work.
Well, it didn't give me goosebumps. All sounded too confusing. But it helped me forcing me to think in different way, and I must say it did help to send love instead of accusations and sadness.
