While vacationing in Trinidad, world-renowned photographer Roman Knight unexpectedly acquires a new muse, Cynthia Tremaine. Their chemistry is off the charts and they can’t resist giving into a night of passion together. Neither of them expected to see each other again after they parted ways...but fate seemed to have other plans.
I've finally broken my reading hiatus due to binge watching Turkish shows and I'm glad I chose Falling for a Knight. I was in the market for a sweet romance and this did not disappoint.
Cynthia is a PA for a model who just happens to be her stepsister and she's itching to go on vacation with her girls. Their destination is Trinidad and Tobago to have an authentic Carnival experience. On the flip side, Roman is tasked last minute with a photography job for his friend's magazine which is also documenting the Carnival experience. When the girls arrive, they take Cynthia's phone away for the first day because this is off the grid, maximum fun. On the second day, they convince her to wear a Carnival costume and Roman and his camera are completely captivated. They share a brief dance which in a round about way leads to one incredible night and then they part ways without exchanging information.
By chance or fate, they end up meeting each other again through mutual connections and that sizzling spark turns into an inferno that absolutely needs to be explored. I adored Cyn and Rome. Rome was everything you can imagine in a man: attentive, adventurous, and very passionate about his job as well as Cyn. Cyn was talented and had an inner confidence that Rome brought out and convinced her to shine so bright.
I would definitely read this book again when I'm in need of a sexy and sweet romance. This was my first time reading a Te Russ novel and I'll definitely be exploring her back list further.
Cynthia's father died without a will and she is forced to beg her father's wife for aid and her step-sister for a job. Now Linda and Priscilla treat her like an indentured servant. The disrespect is in the stratosphere! Roman is a breath of fresh air and treats Cynthia like a queen. So when the Carnival vacation ends, Cynthia will be going back to New York and Roman back to Nevada. But then Cynthia discovers just what deceitful liars her step mother and step sister are. And payback time is here! Captivating story but way too many sex scenes.
I love a book with a little island flair as you know so seeing Trinidad mentioned in Falling for a Knight warranted a quick one click.
Cynthia Tremaine is under-appreciated and overworked in her current job and is well deserving of the girls trip to Trinidad for Carnival with her two best friends. Roman Knight is a talented photographer who is also in Trinidad.
These two meet during Carnival and while their initial interaction is brief, there’s an electric connection of sorts. They spend a day together while in Trinidad and while they both immensely enjoyed their time together they hadn’t planned to see each other after that. As fate would have it, they see each other again when Cynthia travels to Sweet Rapids, Nevada with her boss and mean ass step sister Priscilla. (Don’t get me started on her, I wanted to push Priscilla down a few times. Don’t worry you’ll feel the same way too when you read the book LOL).
Falling for a Knight was flirty and fun, and I suggest you take a little trip to Sweet Rapids and read about these two.
Te Russ continues to write sweet, beautiful and sexy romances. I absolutely adored the Nobles Series and now we get their cousins--the Knights. And so far, they are every bit as lovable, funny, and amazing as their Noble cousins. And talented. And sexy. Wow! Who are these people?! LOL!
Roman and Cynthia are a fantastic couple. They're smart, creative and so sexy. Their chemistry is hot, and they came into each others' lives at just the right time. They both knew what it was like losing parents and understood one another. They just fit together perfectly. I must say, I felt so sorry for Cyn. Her stepmother and stepsister were a real life fairy/horror tale. Just two spoiled, despicable, bitter, and might I add, crazy people. I also think it's kind of weird that Cyn and her godmother didn't help her find out about her father's will sooner. As the daughter, I would think that she had every right to go to his lawyer, or search court records for the documents. But anyway, I really enjoyed this story and love coming back to Sweet Rapids.
This is a cute Cinderella-style somewhat erotic romance featuring star photographer, Roman, and mistreated personal assistant to a wicked step-sister, Cynthia’s who meet on vacation in Trinidad. After any holiday romance, the two randomly meet again at a time where Cynthia is going through a difficult time and Roman is more than willing to be her peace.
This is a really light and simple fairytale-type story. It’s great for a stress-free chill read and even though it’s the first of this series featuring the Knight brothers, clearly it’s a spin-off from an earlier series because it references people as though we know who they are. Nonetheless, it’s still easy to follow and I liked the characters enough that I would read more from this author and definitely plan to check out the rest of the series.
I love this modern, African American twist on a classic fairy tale.i won’t divulge which one, because that will spoil the story, but it was executed very well. I thought I loved the Nobles, and while Ian is still my dude, I think I’m liking these Knights a bit more. They have an edge about them that reminds me of guys I grew up with, accomplished but still regular guys from around the way.
A vacation tryst that leads to more I can dif it. There was a little bit of a Cinderella feel (evil step sister) that I could actually see happening. I really appreciated there was no 3rd act breakup but there was external tension. The story lagged in the middle but overall it was fun.
Excellent read, I Loved the characters and storyline. Rome and Cynthia are a great match. Their personalities clicked, it was a hot romance. It was good to catch up some of the Noble family and the town of Sweet Rapids. I recommend this book.
I loved Cynthia and Rome's story. Linda and Priscilla were trips! I was so happy for the total outcome! A beautiful love story! I look forward to the other 2 brothers stories! Great job Te Russ!
I enjoyed this book so much I couldn’t put it down until I was finished. It’s been a long time since I actually wanted to read but this book pulled me in
As someone who has had the opportunity to vacation in Tobago, it was nice to see Trinidad's Carnival captured as one of the underlying plots. I highly recommend Trinidad and Tobago as a vacation spot.
But back to the story of Cynthia and Roman. Can you say make it last. Instant chemistry can be a thing, it's what you do with it that makes a difference. Te' was able to capture the personalities of Rome and Cyn perfectly. It's always sweet to see two creative's come together.
In this story you see how family dynamics and friendships allow for nature to take it's course. You feel for Cynthia after learning of Faye's betrayal. You want to slap Priscilla because of her bratty ways. You root for Cynthia when she seizes the day/night with Rome.
Rome shows what it means to be strong, supportive and loyal. He oozes with confidence. He's definitely a man's man.
You love the sweet visit back to Sweet Rapids and getting to visit back with some of your favorite characters, even if for a snippet.
Classic fairy tale with a modern day twist. The H/h met on a trip to Trinidad. They both were captivated by one another. One night of a hook up and then off on their separate ways. No contact info was exchanged. Low and behold the h works as an assistant to her Step Sister who models for the company that was inherited by the h’s Stepmother after the h father passed away. The StepSister was a royal bratty pain who tested the h like a peasant. The H is a renowned photographer that was hired to take photos of the h’s Stepsister. Now they meet again. What are the odds. The H/h hook up and then develop a relationship. The h quits the job of working for the Steps company only to later find her Father had a will that was hidden by the Stepmother. The h doesn’t want the company and allows the Step to continue running it..(blank stare) The h moves to the state where the H lives and the become an item. That’s it. Chemistry was awesome between the two.
Te'Russ never lets you down! I'm already a fan of the Nobles clan but I'm falling in love with the Knights too! Cynthia and Roman's story was so freakin' cute! I love how they met in the middle of Carnival and found each other again in Roman's line of work. Priscilla and Linda deserved every bad thing that happened to them. It's a shame the will was hidden all of those years. How selfish! Cynthia's was too kind to her stepmom and stepsister. I loved how most of the Nobles made appearances in this story and it felt so good to be back in Sweet Rapids, Nevada. I'm so looking forward to Ramsey and Remi's stories too!

So excited when I saw Te Russ with a new series. I cannot wait to read the next two. This book, as all her others is written perfectly from both perspectives. I love how thoughtful and in tune with each other the characters were. I loved the comedy as well as the romance. Fun’s friends were hilarious and reminded me of mine. I’m secretly praying they are the love interest in the next two books. I’m excited to get an update and continue to get to know Remi and Ram!!!
living in the moment is a running theme in this story about Cyn and Rome. Cyn has been out through the ringer by her boss/stepsister. With her friends and godmother as her only supporters, she struggles with the feeling of not living to get full potential. Rome is a photographer living the good life when he and his camera find Cyn on vacation. They decide to live in the moment...and this story takes us where that moment leads. My first book by this author and I'm pretty sure I'm an instant fan.
As a Caribbean woman born and raised, I naturally loved this book. I enjoyed the integration of Trinidad, how knowledgeable the author was and the way the culture was captured in her writing.
I rated 4/5 because even though the story was well written and I ENJOYED it.... I feel like the narration was disappointing.
Even though it was written with a dual perspective from both love interests, I couldn’t really tell a difference in personality when either of them were speaking/thinking. That’s something that I’d usually enjoy, it could made the plot more entertaining I believe.
I was so very glad to see the story line in this tale go the positive short way. Going to Sweet Rapids and not spending weeks around Roman and not clearing the air would have been way to much to take. I’m also glad Cynthia punched the cowboy crap out of Percilla. That chick was a pain in the ass and she deserved everything she got and more. Linda got exactly what she deserved except it’s to bad that Cynthia couldn’t have slapped the taste out of her mouth as well. Thank you Te’ that was a great five star story.

HFN ending. I enjoyed Cynthia and Rome's romance. There was no stupid misunderstanding towards the end to cause a separation and grovel/apology. No declaration of love. I do feel like the ending was abrupt. Maybe another 20-30 pages should have been added, getting more detail of how Cyn and Rome were handling being in a long distance relationship. Maybe an epilogue with Cynthia finally looking at the pictures from the photoshoot while chilling at Rome's house...I just needed a little bit more for this story.
This was a great start to a new series! While reuniting with the Nobles of Sweet Rapids, it was great being introduced to the triplets! This story had all the drama to keep you enraptured throughout the book! I can't wait for Ramsey's and Remi's stories in "Seduced by a Knight" and "Claimed by a Knight!" I'm ready! Great job, Te'! Highly Recommended! 💜
This was an enjoyable read. It was predictable due to the plot but it didn’t take away from my enjoyment. I felt that Roman came into Cynthia’s life at the perfect time . He helped her realize her beauty and worth. She was way nicer than I would have been when it came to the way she was treated. But to each it’s own . I didn’t like the ending. I need just a little more. Overall, it was a cute read and it was a delight to see Cynthia gain some confidence in herself .
A very intiguing & mature love story. Photographer Roman Knight meets Cynthia Tramaine at The Carnivale in Trinidad. Their encounter is mind blowing. Back in the NYC Cyn can't keep her mind off thoughts of Rome who lives in Sweet Rapids, NV. But as fate would have it, these two meet up at a photo shoot in his hometown & take things to the next level. 9/6/2020.
This was a cute story. Nothing exceptional about it. The characters were basic, and it was a basic retelling of Cinderella. The sex scenes were basic, everything was just basic. There were a few editing mistakes. Maybe a healthy rewrite with an editor that can help add a good level of character depth and some passion (not just to the sexy scenes) to the story
I was surprised to find that this was a re-telling. I don’t read blurbs. And I’m not even sure why I choose this one as my first non holiday read by Russ but it was just as romantic and well written as I was expecting. I really enjoy the way she goes about her romance. Even though I was waiting for the shoe drop it never really comes and it’s kind of refreshing.
As soon as this book went LIVE I clicked too fast like it was a race. Lmbo. Ms. Russ NEVER disappoints. I am amped about this new series with the Knight triplets. I absolutely loved Roman and Cyn was sweet as a Georgia peach 🍑. I loved their chemistry. I also loved that it was like a modern day Cinderella tale with a twist. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
