Josie's world is turned upside down after the death of her fiancé. Her picture-perfect world no longer exists. But when a ghost starts haunting her house, she's not sure who to turn to.
Sebastian isn't just a hot stripper Josie met at her bachelorette party, he's also the medium that shows up at her door to help her with her ghost problem.
Together, they must figure out who is haunting her house and how to get rid of them. Can they survive the supernatural while figuring out the chemistry brewing between them?
Jennifer Laslie is a crazy cat lady who lives in Utah with her wonderful family. Her office affords her a mountain view that she loves! When she's not thinking about cheesecake or cats, she can be found in the bookstore in the Young Adult section, coffee in hand.
This great book was part of the Rebels and Renegades collection. A stripper by night and medium during the day. Wow, that would get my attention fast. It actually a great book! You all bed to get the collection of great stories. I will do a full review of the book as a whole when I am finished with it.
Josie is about to be married in two days. First, she is having her party with the girls at her friends house. Of course Valerie ordered a stripper, and he’s a Greek God for sure. The instant spark is there and that’s something Josie has never felt before. She reminds herself she is getting married and watches as the Adonis walks out of her life after his dance.
The following night there’s a storm brewing. Doug goes to his own bachelor party, leaving Josie to deal with the storm alone. After a couple of drunken calls, from Doug, and a broken shutter her nerves are raw. Another call comes in and she rushes to the hospital. Here her life is turned upside down when she receives the news that the doctors were unable to save Doug.
During the funeral Josie starts to feel phantom hands touching her but doesn’t pay too much attention. After the funeral she notices that her house is haunted. Her friend Lora, my favorite character for sure, helps her to find a medium to come and expel the spirit from her house. Little does Josie know that her life is about to change, again.
Sebastian, the medium, is none other than the Adonis from her party. That connection is still there and very strong. The spirit is getting more and more angry as Sebastian is in the house. After some cleansing with sage and more broken furniture they figure out the spirit is Doug.
They work to rid the house of Doug’s dangerous spirit and mend Josie’s broken heart. Sebastian and Josie have a real connection that seems to spark whenever they come anywhere near each other and it just doesn’t go away. The two of them fight to get rid of Doug, together.
I love how sweet and cute this story was.

Josie is devastated by the death of her fiancé Doug just prior to her wedding. When a ghost begins haunting the house they bought together, her friends recommend a medium to help eradicate the ghost. She is surprised when the medium turns out to be the hot stripper Sebastian that was at her bachelorette party. Together they must banish the ghost who turns out to be her dead fiancé Doug. Very nice paranormal romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was so fun to read and super hot! The love interest was totally sexy and very unique. Anyone who strips and is also a medium could have my number lol!
Josie is getting married in 2 days. Her 3 friends throw her a bachelorette party and hires a stripper. Sparks fly but Josie tells her self she is getting married. The next day Doug, her fiancé has his bachelors party and is killed in a car accident. Then strange things start to happen at the house. The house is haunted and Josie seeks out a Medium who turns out to be the stripper. I really enjoyed this book. It’s a very good read.
This story was crazy good. Emphasis on the crazy! My first read from Jennifer Laslie and most definitely won't be the last! I gotta read more! Fantastic job! From the chemistry between the characters to the snide banter amongst friends. It was absolutely perfect! A great read!
A quick read. Funny, heart-breaking and mind-exploding. Definitely a rom-com, paranormal, lightly steamy book that keeps you turning the page. And then it’s over! Glad I have her other books in the series to continue with this. Recommending to my friends. Loooooovvveeed it!
** so hard to not spoil it for people but trust me, I didn’t see a certain something coming and was like wow when the truth was actually out **
Josie was enjoying her bachelorette party 3 days before her wedding with her closest friends drinking and have a blast when the doorbell rings and surprise her friends got her a stripper. The music and lap dance started and for some reason Josie had felt a spark between the stripper and herself, she shouldn’t be feeling things like that she getting ready to get married for Christ sakes. The next night her future husband went out with his friends and it was during a terrible storm, well one thing lead to another and something terrible had occurred. A few days later Josie was putting books away and one flew off the shelf into the middle of the room she knows she wasn’t going crazy but this book was amazing and i just loved it. Hilarious, heartwarming, heartbreak, and swooning this books has it all, and a little spook factor that your going to love as well.
This is a fast read that has a little bit of everything! Josie was about to get married but her fiance died right before the wedding. She is mourning the death of her fiance’ when strange things start happening to her. Turns out her house is haunted and the medium she calls is the stripper who gave her a lap dance at her bachelorette party! Lets see, we have a stripper medium, a dead fiance’, a haunted house, and great friends...what else do you need for this story?! It is a well developed story with great chemistry between all the characters. Even with a death in the story, it is a sweet and fun read. Reading this in one sitting was no problem at all. It definitely will keep your attention to the last page. I look forward to reading more in this series.
Meh, passable. This is a novella, so I wasn't expecting much depth. But up until the artificially rushed ending, it managed to pace itself well enough, though the villain remains vague. Then Laslie pulled the most cop-out authorial move known to man: the main character passed out, and everything was solved off-page without her (and thus without the reader). I hate when authors do this. But it was especially grievous here. I have the next book in the series. I expect I'll read it. But I'm not in any hurry about it.
"How can she move on when her dead fiancé won’t?" This was quite good. Enjoyed the supernatural aspect of it. Definitely had some funny and cute moments. The characters were good. Loved Lora. Such a good friend to Josie.

Josie and Doug are set to be married. They are moving into a new house to start a life. That is until tragedy happens. With the help of her friend Lora and a medium named Sebastian. Can Josie get closure, or will she meets her untimely death? A race against time and what is happening makes Josie faces challenges and red flags she'd never seen before now. Will it be enough?
I loved this book. The storyline is well written and keeps your interest. I loved the characters and found them well developed. Looking forward to reading more by this author. I definitely recommend reading.

This was a nice book to read. I just wish there was more! I would have loved more build up between the characters. They were such fun characters and I wish we could have seen more of their romance and personalities.
This had some laugh out loud moments, a fabulous drink concoction, and a bothersome ghost. It was a fast, mostly light hearted read that will keep you entertained.
A sweet little novella set in Austin,TX. The main character is Josie, who loses her fiance and gains a ghost. Loved the pace and the instant attraction with the medium.
